I did end up buying a 2018 Hyundai Elantra w/13k miles on it.. they had actually just got the car & were still in process of fixing a few things. Because I bought the car over a holiday weekend, they were not able to get it into the shop for a few days so they allowed me to take the car home until the shop was open and at that time they gave me a nice reliable motor car while my car was worked on.. they fixed everything. Once I hit my car back I realized it was pulling to the left & seemed like the alignment needed to be done.. with no hesitation they arranged a time for me to drop off the vehicle and get a loaner car so that they could fix the issue.. figured out something in the alignment was bent so they fixed it & in the meantime I gave birth.. this shop is located in Honolulu & I live deep in the west side. My husband is military and works 24/7 therefore I am full-time mom and with a newborn it was stressful thinking about how I was going to get to Honolulu to pick up my car.. no worries.. they sent a driver out to switch cars right at my house. Just had another conversation about my key fob with the service man and he is SO BLOODY RUDE! I'm on my 4th or 5th Subaru, but the one before last I brought in for some compressor recall. They replaced the part but 2 weeks later I sold it and there was a problem with that replacement. The friend I sold it to took it to his mechanic who said the problem was Subaru's replacement of the recalled part. I took it back to Subaru and the denied any culpability. Mike did me a solid and redid my whole AC system in my 1990 Chevy C2500. I went to his place on Friday and he was busy! He was able to turn it around in 2 work days. New accumulator, hoses, orifice tube, refrigerant oil, compressor, o-rings, R134a charge and condenser. He compression tested evaporator coil and determined it was holding charge and didn't need changing. Truck has solid cold AC and is now awesome to drive! We stopped by here to test drive two trucks that were listed on their website. After driving both, we decided on the one we liked better. We hooked up our diagnostic to it and no codes showed up. We left to pick up some cash and came back to buy it. We drove home to kaimuki happy. The next day we drove to the north shore and when we were passing wahiawa the "check engine" light came on. A few minutes later the "coolant temperature" light came on. It stopped shifting right the rest of the drive. Called that day to see about taking it in, no one called back. Called the next day. No one called back. Called the next day to speak to a manager, he said he's try to work with us. Didn't call back. Called the next day and told them we bought a truck "as is" that was "working condition", not a truck in "as is" that the problems were hidden. Bing told us to take it to a shop in kalihi where he wanted us to pay for the "parts". We looked up the address, it's dedicated to Today Auto which means it's HIS mechanic, he's already being paid. We left the car there and the mechanic called us in 2 hrs and said it was fixed. Drove straight to the country from there, same lights came back on before mililani. They basically spit and glued it together to get the lights to turn off, didn't actually fix the problem. Decided to take it to an actual mechanic that wasn't being paid off by the owner, and it turns out the solenoid/Transmission needs to be redone. On top of that, the two back doors of the truck also stopped opening. Poor business ethic and poor service. read more

Buyer beware. I found a truck on Craigslist posted by this dealership and reached out to inquire about it and also ask about a discrepancy where the post stated the title was clean, but a search of the VIN# online reported it as a salvage title. Further search confirmed it was salvage as photos of the damaged truck was posted on an auction site. No response to my inquiry, so I followed up again and advised it was definitely a salvage title so the post should be corrected or removed, and if it wasn't I would leave feedback on the matter with Yelp. Another week later still received no response or change to the post, so here I am to help protect other consumers and share the matter. If it was an input error, that's one thing, but when it's brought to their attention and ignored, then it's potentially intentional deception. Their website talks about transparency, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I highly recommend before buying a vehicle from this dealership (or any), copy and paste the VIN# posted on Craigslist or their website onto a search bar to see any history on it. I'm sure they won't be happy this was recommended, but transparency is important when it comes to the 2nd biggest investment we make (a home being the 1st). I will try to post pics from the Craigslist post of the Ford Harley truck on Yelp so you can check it out for yourself and search its VIN. Good luck and shop smart. Just purchased a 2004 Isuzu from them. After researching Kelly Blue Book value and other estimates online to include CarFax, the price advertised just exceeded the average fair value estimates of both reputable web pages and the mileage of the vehicle was under the average. John and Bing were extremely reasonable and understood I had a price I was not willing to exceed and met me there. Both want the customer to be happy and were willing to budge to make sure we didn't leave the lot empty handed. The process was smooth and easy. Even the registration and inspection were up to date! As we left the lot, a light came on and a brake light happened to go out on the drive which happens to older vehicles. I was able to call John and without hesitation they took me to their private shop that caters well to the customer. Tony was awesome and very helpful. Bing met us there and again stressed customer satisfaction which they met. They got rid of the light, changed the bulb and I was on my way. Both stressed that if there were any issues to please bring it back in. It is hard to find individuals who want to help customers, especially once they hand the keys over and you drive off the lot, but all of the people at Today Auto were genuine in their interest in customer satisfaction. Recently purchased a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen from this dealer (4/23/2016). I happen to live downtown and decided to check out this particular vehicle to maybe purchase. Seeing as how I had no expectations and wasn't in any real rush, the process was wonderful. In general, this dealer handled the entire process incredibly well. We had real conversations about down payments, interest rates, monthly payments, without any pressure on buying today, tomorrow or next week. I was simply inquiring and if it sounded good, I was willing to move forward. This is in stark contrast to a large portion of auto dealers that may hound you for just simply emailing to find out more details. One particular gesture I enjoyed was their ease of test driving. I usually assume I have to be accompanied by a salesman, who either will try and butter me up more about the car, generally tell me wrong facts (I'm a huge car guy) or information about the car or say things like, "It has good power, right!?" .... Calm down buddy, its only a 4-cylinder with maybe 200HP, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Anyways, I was allowed to test drive to call for a very good amount of time. That alone made me even more comfortable with their business, because they trusted me to just drive their car and experience it for myself, uninterrupted. They also provide customers with their own source for mechanical repairs and lower costs. This isn't an "open to the public" facility, but one catered to their customers, which can ease the process of finding mechanics or at least give you another option, if your normal place is overly crowded. In all the process was great. I can easily recommended this place, based on my own experience. I received great service, got tips on random things we discussed like, credit, refinancing for even lower interest rates and just general good conversation. Nothing more to ask for. When it was time to sign papers, everything went smoothly and quick. There was no hidden agendas, surprise cost, just straight forward pricing and payments. The car runs great, is in very good condition for its year (it is about 7 years old), has low miles (53,000.... somebody barely drove this), had a clean CarFax (which they'll happily provide) and any areas of concern where addressed and even a certain part replaced. Good business and people. Don't hesitate to give Today Auto a look if you car shopping. Car Buying Tip: In general, if your car shopping your whole experience will be better if you just allot your entire day to it. Get a good night's rest. Eat breakfast, bring some magazines, a tablet. Call a friend. Arrange for lunch. And just take your time. A lot of my time was me just looking over the car, texting, thinking and coming up with other questions to ask. Went in to see a car and no one was around to help me, there was unpaved road inside the car lot so it was extremely dusty and dirty definitely do not where are shoes you care about. There was weeds growing everywhere and cat feces right by the entrance in which I stepped in on accident. I was already turned off but I wanted to see the car so I proceeded. I looked at a couple cars and noticed people coming in with bags and luggage, I spoke to both parties and they said they were renting the car on the TURO APP they were literally renting the cars and after renting and racking up mileage they sell the cars.
