That didn't affect the amazing service in any way as our server was friendly and very attentive. The kitchen was lightning fast with getting all our dishes to the table quickly. The mom and pop sized restaurant has a nice clean classic sit down restaurant vibe that is definitely date friendly. Todd's Unique Dining: I was fortunate to sample plenty of dishes this evening Beef Carpaccio - Very tasty and the truffle aioli really brought this home for me. Crab Cake - One crab cake served a little on the smaller side but definitely packed with flavor. Togarashi seared Rare Ahi Tuna, Wasabi mashed, soy garlic butter -Wow, what a creative Ahi Tuna dish. Delicious top to bottom but that wasabi mashed potatoes, brilliant. Braised Boones Short Rib- Tender, tasty and yummy The jalapeno mashed potatoes were the perfect side. Skirt Steak 'on fire' with chili cheese fries-This was my dish and I was extremely happy with tis. The skirt steak was prepped to a perfect medium as I requested and the on fire seasoning was flavorful af. Chili Cheese fries enhances my skirt steak experience. All the sides with the dishes were delish and impressive with the creativity and purpose. Todd's is a lovely sit down night out restaurant that I can go to with amazing service and creative dishes. The service? Impeccable. Everyone was kind, eager, and friendly, and they got us in and out in a timely manner (since we had something to get to soon after). The food? Delicious. I could hardly stop myself from devouring the halibut special, and while I'm not one for cooked vegetables, their sweet potatoes and zucchini was amazing. The environment was lovely as well, the only slight annoyance being how upright the booths made you sit. Todd's has been one of our favorite fine dining restaurants in the Las Vegas area. Their menu is always on point. Last night's repas was exceptional,as always. My wife had a delicious Jumbo Sea Scallops over shrimp risotto, and I had the usually sold out meatloaf. What set the meal apart from our usual experience was that I had called the day before to ask if they had Sweetbreads on the menu. I had to leave a message as I called outside of business hours. They called me back and let me know that it wasn't on the menu but that Todd had some that he would prepare for me as a special appetizer. Wow. I was so touched. I'm not sure if the menu we go was ok printed paper because of the whole situation now, or if because it rotates. I mention this because our drinks were on an actual menu we were able to hold. Had this place bookmarked for while, and I'm glad I finally got to visit Todd's! We made reservations on Open Table and came on a Friday night to celebrate my mom's birthday. We got a half bottle of pinot noir to start, and couldn't stop eating the bread that was served in the beginning. It was sooo good haha I highly recommend the Beef Carpaccio for the appetizer, and the Pavlova for dessert. We visited last night. I have heard about Todd's Unique Dining over the years but have never been. Todd's participates in Restaurant Week benefitting Three Square Food Bank and we always enjoy trying out restaurants during that time. The service was excellent! My husband ordered off the regular menu and had a Caesar Salad, and then a special of delicious Scallops surrounding a mushroom risotto. I ordered the kale, spinach and baby garbanzo beans salad, the hanger steak, and a mango pudding with coconut strudel topping. The Spanish Gin and Tonics were excellent. Everything was perfection. They don't advertise but rely on people finding out about them. We sat in a booth but next time will try a table. Definitely will be back!!! read more

As one might expect from a town that caters to a large influx of tourists from all over the world daily, Las Vegas has many chefs, both celebrity and well-known locals, who've made a name for themselves serving some of the best food this town has to offer. One of them, former Bally's chef de cuisine Todd Clore, has opened up his own restaurant that has since gained a cult following among both locals and tourists alike: Todd's Unique Dining, which has been on numerous best lists here in Las Vegas. But was it worth it? My mother and I came by the restaurant this past weekend to find out for ourselves about the hype! Between the both of us, we ordered the calamari, the berry salad, the jumbo seared scallops, braised short ribs, and McKenna's brownie for dessert. Prior to our meal, we got some complementary bread which we both enjoyed; it was light and fluffy, and a good quality of bread that you'd likely find in some of the more upscale places. Furthermore, our servers would refill our drinks and give us fresh silverware as needed for each course of our meal, which we appreciated. As calamari is our favorite appetizer, we ordered that to see how well the restaurant knew its food -- we're both very picky about our calamari and thus used it as a sort of scale to determine how good the restaurant was. Our calamari appetizer was crisp and full of flavor, and both it and the sauce had a nice kick from the chipotle! However, the calamari itself was much drier and smaller than we expected; sauce was good, at least, and had a nice kick from the chipotle,while we cleaned the plate, it wasn't something we'd order again. The berry salad, on the other hand, was light, flavorful, and the perfect balance of sweet and savory -- I'm the kind of person who likes fruit in my salad, and this salad hit all the right spots and cravings at once! As for our mains, I enjoyed the short ribs immensely. They were perfectly seasoned; flavorful, rich, tender, the meat melted in my mouth. The jalapeño mashed potatoes were also similarly delicious -- the jalapeño provided the perfect kick to complement and balance the richness of the short ribs. I also had a chance to try the scallops as well; and they were just as good as the short ribs. The scallops were light, tender and had a nice sear on the outside, with a juicy interior; the accompanying corn and green onion risotto was delicate and light in comparison to other risottos in town, in a very addictive way. Of course, we made sure to save room for dessert -- McKenna's brownie came with whipped cream and pecan praline ice cream. The brownie itself was delicious: rich, chocolatey and indulgent in the way a brownie should be. The ice cream was the best surprise of the night, though -- it wasn't too sweet, but it also had a good amount of caramel and pecans in it that made it addicting. I honestly thought that the ice cream was the best part of the dessert -- as did my mother! So what was our verdict with Todd's? The man knows his food -- aside from the calamari, we both enjoyed our food immensely and had no problems with polishing our plates. That said, one of the things that we did have an issue with was the price; while I understand the price that comes with having fresh seafood and ingredients flown in per day,I did think it was much higher than I'd normally expect from a restaurant such as this. That said, the food was amazing enough that we'd consider coming back here again for a special occasion. Overall the restaurant is nice and very clean. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable about the food/specials for our evening. We forgot to take a picture of the free garlic bread (delicious) and the Caesar salad (also very delicious) we split. For dinner we each chose a different house special. I had the seared scallops and the fiancé chose the surf and turf option. Everything we had was tasty and cooked perfectly. However, I do wish the waiter would have informed us on the cost for the house specials. Going by the price point of all the other entrees we did not anticipate the surf and turf to be $95! It is a bit deceiving and quite honestly not worth the $95, more like between $65-$70. *** Review is for Restaurant Week 2018 Menu *** I've been going to try Todd's Unique for a couple of years on recommendations from some friends. I chose this for my first Restaurant Week 2018 dinner. There is one menu online for $30.18 but they have a second for $40.18 when you go there with some more choices. I went with the higher priced menu. For my three courses, I ordered: beef carpaccio with lemon oil and parmesan, boneless short rib, and what they call "Killer chocolate cake and blackberry sauce." I was brought my iced tea quickly by Sheena, my server, and she refilled the glass several times during the meal. She told me the bread would be out of the oven shortly and she brought me a bread basket with two slices of garlic bread and two pieces of focaccia with soft butter. In a short time she brought me my appetizer of beef carpaccio. Standard carpaccio except for the lemon oil squeezed over the beef. There were also some greens for a small salad with the beef. Not a bad starter. The boneless short rib was very good. It was tender, no knife needed--the way it should be. The beef was on a small bed of mashed potatoes and it was steaming hot when brought to the table. The gravy was very rich. Dessert was a bit of a let down. I expected a "killer" of a cake. What I got was a small round dish with chocolate cake (not a killer by any means) and it had some blackberry jelly in the center that melted in the warm cake. It was OK but it was no killer. I'm glad I finally made it to Todd's. I am intrigued by two items on their regular menu. It may be worth a trip back to try one of those. Service was excellent. I just enjoyed my first visit at Todd's Unique Dining. Because I was unfamiliar with how the menu works, we called and learned that they post the daily menu on their Facebook page. The experience was very positive. My husband and I started with the crab cake and watermelon salad. My husband also had the watermelon martini, which tasted amazing. The crab cake was okay to me, but it wasn't anything to write home about. When I compare it to my favorite types of crab cake, I seem to enjoy crab cakes with bigger chunks of crab. The watermelon salad was a light and refreshing appetizer. For our entrees, I had the scallops and my husband had the pork chops with honey garlic sauce. I absolutely loved the scallops. They were cooked perfectly and the flavor and accompanying sauce were delicious. My husband enjoyed his pork chops. For dessert, we ordered the peach crème brûlée. It came with some type of crumble on the top, which I did not enjoy. Overall, it was just okay. I wouldn't order it again. I mainly ordered it because I was curious to try a different flavor of crème brûlée. I'm not sure if the mixture of the peach affected the texture or if the crème was overcooked, but it was not as creamy as I am used to. I would highly recommend this place. Some of the things I thought were just "okay" could be due to my own personal tastes and preferences, not because they were made incorrectly. I have been waiting so long to get back to this restaurant as this was one of my favorite places to enjoy a meal in the past. after three conversations with the restaurant amending our reservation and letting them know this was a birthday celebration, we were seated at 2top next to the kitchen door. I lost count how many times the back of my chair was hit by servers coming and going from the kitchen. We ordered the goat cheese wontons (a signature dish here) which apparently they no longer take pride in presenting. We didn't finish those. Hubby had the calamari app which was off the hook good. Quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. We tried a couple of old fashioneds, I'd give it 7/10. We pretty much already decided on our entrees in excited anticipation, so I didn't study the menu too much. The wine list is expansive and IMHO is very reasonably priced. There's also a wonderful selection of bourbons available. This Being a special occasion, we ordered a high end bottle of cab. +/- $100. I was a little surprised when it was unceremoniously just plopped on the table ( no wine bucket, no cloth to catch drips) very convenient to fill your own glasses during your meal. Other tables were the same, so must be their regular MO. I ordered rack of lamb and was very 'quickly' informed by our waiter Scott, it's only available medium rare. Calm down, Scott, I was going to order it that way anyways. Hubby ordered braised short rib, mentioned to Scott that we've been studying the online menu in great anticipation, and he'd been looking forward to the rib dish for days. Helpful Scott let us know that website is just something Todd did years ago and doesn't bother updating. Humorously, I heard several tables ask Scott where he was from. I'm sure he thought it was his regional patois, but I think it may have been something else. My rack of lamb was described as 'mustard encrusted' but seemed to just have a plop of stone ground mustard on top. Presented deboned, it was only three ribs so I guess you'd describe it as almost half a rack of lamb. And guess what, dear reader? It was not medium rare. Plated upon some mashed potatoes that definitely came from a scorched pan. Not edible. The obligatory baby carrot and other decorative vegetables were so dried out, they made a noise when tapped on the edge of the plate. Hubby's braised rib was delectable! Which was great, because it was accompanied by a couple of sliced mushrooms and some fried onions on top. No mashed potatoes or other starch. I offered hubby my mashed potatoes but he had tasted them already and declined. Dessert was a shared crème brûlée that Scott definitely tried to talk me out of ordering. I should have listened, Scott. I insisted and asked for extra raspberries. Wompwomp. Not Even one raspberry. I guess it's hard to get berries in the summer. There was a complimentary Todd-amisu that must have been prepared without any coffee. Anyways, I still think this is a solid restaurant to hit up after work or when you need a break from cooking. Todd's defiantly is a little hole in the wall, as the outside does not match the food that it delivers! Located on sunset near the Green Valley Galaxy movie theater, the spot is easy to find and also very easy to access with plenty of parking. I believe that monthly they have new food options and I highly recommend trying out whatever the chef options are for that month. Dinner reservations for 4 people at 8p and it was pretty empty so we were seated immediately. 2 people order drinks and then we placed our main orders. They bring out bread with ice cold butter, which the bread was tasty, but the butter was almost impossible to spread. We got the goat cheese wontons which were super tasty and the crab cake which was good, a little salty for me. I ordered the duck breast which was really good, but which it was cooked a bit less cause it was kinda dry. The braised pork ribs were more like a chunk of pulled pork, but it was tender and good. I have loved at this place for quite a while. It's nothing spectacular from the parking lot, but inside you find what Las Vegas and Henderson is all about. Great food made with thoughtful chef's, great service, and community feel. Todd's is more about quality of food, and perfectly prepared proteins than an Instagram worthy moment at the hostess stand. In my opinion the food is worth more than any picture for the gram. On Wednesdays they have a no corkage fee. My favorite dining companion and I have quite a wine collection at home and love to bring a bottle or two to Todd's to pair with the halibut or the steak. We made the best of a self-quarantine 31st wedding anniversary, thanks to Todd's Unique Dining!! We really wanted to support a local small business. If you have never been to Todd's Unique Dining, I highly recommend it. We did curbside pick up and they went above and beyond to make us feel safe. Btw- they just opened up for reservations only dining, if you so choose. Their food is fantastic! The portion size is good; the food was fresh and delicious! Yelp 100 Challenge 27 It was about four years ago that we were in town and dined at Todds for the first time. Tonight we were able to return once again. Our server Anthony was excellent, very attentive. We started our meal with the fried calamari and aioli dipping sauce. Not sure what was up with the calamari tonight. It seemed as though they were left in the fryer too long, as they were a tad chewy and a little on the greasy side. Additionally, the batter was flavorless. Enough said about the appetizer. On the other hand our beet salad served on cold plates with golden beets, fennel, mixed greens was delicious. The dressing was light and didn't weigh down or over power the other ingredients. My hubby ordered the tuna tartare served with wasabi mashed...excellent! The fish was sashimi grade, so very tender and the sauce was equally delicious. I ordered the mahi mahi stuffed with crab and served with mixed veggies. The fish was excellent and the veggies tender crisp. Both entrees were presented beautifully. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now and finally gotten the chance to experience Todd's for my birthday dinner and I must say we had an amazing experience over at Todd's Unique. Service - Was excellent. Was greeted upon entering the restaurant and taken to our table which was located in one of the 3 rooms that Todd's currently offers. Since Covid is currently going on there was only 4 tables in the room in which we were sitting at which is going above and beyond the safety precautions. Our server was fantastic going over each menu item and answering any questions we had about the menu. Drinks - I had the Black and Blue Mojito and my fiancée had the Pear Martini. Both drinks were very tasty and proportioned perfectly with the perfect amounts of alcohol. Not too strong and not too weak. These were so good we each ordered a 2nd round. And at $11 not overly priced either. Appetizer/Salad - For starters we decided to share a salad as well as an appetizer. For the appetizer we opted for the Goat Cheese Wontons and OMG I could've probably eaten a dozen of these they were so good. Crispy on the outside and filled with a wonderful creamy goat cheese in the middle and that raspberry sauce was to die for. Our salad selection was the pear and blue cheese salad which had cranberries, pecans, and a very tasty fig balsamic dressing. Again this salad tasted amazing. Loved the combination of the salad greens with the pear, blue cheese, pecans, cranberries, and dressing. It all paired wonderful together. Main courses - The fiancée opted for the Braised beef short rib served over jalapeno mashed and I opted for the skirt steak on fire served with french fries. We both thoroughly enjoyed our mains as the food continued to be excellent here. The braised beef short rib was very tender and extremely flavorful. The jalapeno mashed was a nice compliment and wasn't as spicy as I thought it was going to be. My entree which was the skirt steak on fire a Todd's specialty consisted of a skirt steak with a black bean chili sauce paired with homemade and hand cut french fries with some of the black bean chili sauce on top with some cheese. Steak was cooked perfectly as requested. The black bean chili sauce that goes on top has a ton of flavor and a very nice kick to it. The spice level was not too hot and not to weak. It's sort of in the middle when it comes to spice level. I love my spicy food and this item satisfied my pallet. I wouldn't hesitate to get this item again the next time. Dessert - Since it was my birthday I did get a free dessert Todd's version of a tiramisu served in a little cup. Very good for a freebie. I'm actually surprised this isn't offered in a bigger version on their main dessert menu. I think it would be a good seller. My fiancée decided on the mango cobbler with a cinnamon ice cream. Very interesting combo I must say and it actually paired very well together. The cobbler was cooked perfectly and the homemade cinnamon ice cream went very well with the mango flavors of the cobbler. Very impressed. Overall - Wonderful dining experience here at Todd's Unique. I wouldn't hesitate to dine here again. Everything we ate was delicious and tasty and served at the proper temps. We had my daughters medical school family dinner at Todd's. The food and service was terrific. Easy to work with. Again the food was great.

It was Restaurant Week, and at long last I was slated to step inside Todd's Unique Dining Restaurant and evaluate it for myself. Our reservations were acknowledged and quickly honored, and not a moment too soon. For, several parties arrived just after us. The place was quickly packed with people and frantic servers. But, initially, ours did not move fast enough. Although our server said she would get us set with water and bread, she next took orders from an adjoining table of 11 diners instead. When, after hailing a busser, our bread basket did finally arrive, it contained very good raisin bread but there was nothing special about the white bread. The ambiance was homey but, as other Yelpers have previously noted, our straightback booth was rather cramped and uncomfortable. A bowl of Cream of Heirloom Tomato Soup was very good. Unusual Sweet Corn Ravioli tasted pretty good. And, Grumpy's Salad turned out to be like a chopped wedge salad. The medium-rare Filet Medallions I was served were excellent and buttery but very peppery, although I got used to the spice. The Wild Mushroom Cabernet Sauce ladled under it tasted good. So did Mashed Potatoes. While a tomato on my plate was perfectly cooked, lengths of carrot served wild rabbit-style were too hard for my taste and julienned red beets accompanying Roast Prime Rib of Pork with Sausage Stuffing were undercooked. I found Mexican Squash and Enoki Mushrooms to be pleasant but unremarkable. I thought "Todd's" etched in cocoa powder was a nice visual touch next to a great-tasting Flourless Chocolate Cake with excellent Rasbperry and Vanilla Sauce. The array of desserts (also Hazelnut Creme Brulee, Salted Butterscotch Pudding with fresh cream, and housemade ice cream) was the highlight of the meal. While the food did not transport me, it and the overall experience were very good, and a return trip is likely in my future. read more

Entry: Located just off of Sunset Rd. and Athenian Dr. GPS seemed confused as to where this was located. It's between the Olive Garden and Amore Taste of Chicago on the same side of Sunset. Upon arrival we were seated immediately by a friendly hostess at our reservation time. Atmosphere: The ambience is comfortable. Not overly fancy but just fine for a dinner date or a family night out. They do have a phone that rings to the restaurant and seems as though it's attached to a loud speaker. Not sure why they have this setup but each time they received a call the entire restaurant was made VERY aware. Service: Service was wonderful. Not overly attentive but whenever we needed something a waitstaff was nearby and immediately responsive. They were all friendly and professional. Food & Drink: The Chilean Sea Bass was quite wonderful. The presentation was beautiful and the taste even better. This is the dish we'd recommend if you're looking for ideas. The fried wonton appetizer was delicious and cooked to perfection. The bread they server before dinner was warm and very good. The only issue was the New York Strip. It was not a good cut of meat. Very tough even for a NYS and I ordered it medium and was cooked to order. Likely just the quality of meat but it's really the only thing that keeps this from being a 5 star review. I've read other reviews that also say this about the steaks so maybe just steer clear of the steaks. Overall: Overall around a 4.4 star experience. The service was very good and overall the food was above average. We would definitely recommend this place for locals or anyone who's visiting and looking for something off strip and different. read more

Been here a few times that I can't believe I have forgotten to write a review. This is one of those un-assuming places yet amazing restaurants in Henderson that it seems hardly anyone knows about. Unless you are someone who likes to go out to eat a lot like me. :) I'd call this dressy, casual. Not T-shirts casual but in the summer time you can definitely wear nice Bermuda shorts and a button down shirt or sundress or in the winter you can wear a nice pair of jeans and sweater. Anyways... The Ambiance - - Casual, Simple but Elegant The Service - - Professional, Genuine, Friendly The Food - - Changes periodically. Everything I've ever had has been perfectly prepared and presented. Recently I enjoyed the Rabbit with Cassoulet. The perfect comfort food! The Wine - - They have a great wine list.... lots to choose from and the pricing is not stupid expensive like on the strip. Very reasonably priced. The Dessert - - Save Room! You have to order one of their desserts. Recently we had the bread pudding and it was rich and buttery and melt-in-your-mouth good. read more

I met up with family for dinner after work since I was in Henderson and have had this place bookmarked for a long time. Although the interior isn't that marvelous, the food and service more than made up for it. We started with goat cheese wontons with raspberry basil sauce. It's like a better version of a crab rangoon. I got the Togarashi Seared Ahi Tuna with Wasabi mashed potatoes. It was sooo good. Our family likes to share and taste each other's food. The rest of the family got Organic Chicken Breast with couscous and 2 orders of Boneless Short Rib with jalapeno mashed potatoes. Everything was excellent taste-wise and presentation-wise. The portions were just right. For the dessert we tried the Nutella Creme Brulee (I love Nutella!!!), Salted Caramel Butterscotch Pudding. and McKenna's Brownie which was recommended by our server. Of course, I'm biased towards anything Nutella so the creme brulee was my favorite without a doubt. It was creamy and full of Nutella-goodness! I did have to get rid of half the torched sugar on top though - it didn't need it. I'm not a fan of butterscotch so the pudding was ok. The brownie was nothing exciting. I want to try the duck next time. And there will be a next time! read more

Great local find. We ate here last night. Easy drive to get here and cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed the beef carpaccio, pear & blue cheese salad, surf & turf special, braised boneless short rib, and salted caramel butterscotch pudding for dessert. All were excellent. The braised short ribs were the best I've had. The butterscotch pudding was a treat. Will go again. read more
