Once you step into the restaurant, don't forget to sign in at the kosk with your phone number. With so many visits, you will get 20% off notification which you can use it right away or save it till later. Just show the coupon text on your phone to the server at the time of payment and they will reprint you a new bill. 20% off'ed. As always, my go to is the mixed tofu soup that has beef and seafood. If you like intense flavor, asked them to cook longer. Sometimes I will get cold noodle. Lately I habe been getting seafood jun which are crispy at the edge with lots of seating food mixed in. Bon appetite!
Located at the side of a strip mall, not much to see from the outside, but inside was quaint and practical, tables all divided into sections. TV's on the wall played k-pop videos. Our party of 4 got seated at an awkward corner as the electricals for the stovetop interfered with the positioning of the table, but we worked around it. Our server was a young lad, very nice and helpful. The Seolleontang was flavorful, could've used a little more meat. The Bulgogi for 2 was big but just okay, have had better. But the star of the meal was the Assorted Tofu Stew, strung with different seafood and the stew was great. For the price you get a lot of food, we had to take some home.
This restaurant was amazing! I love how family friendly and peaceful it is. The servers were extremely kind and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious! I loved the dishes we got and the prices are great too. I truly cannot rave about this place enough. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
Came here Sunday evening for dinner while visiting Aurora for the first time. Parking was pretty easy right outside the restaurant. I was pretty disappointed overall with the food here. The hot stone bowl of tofu was spicy, but I felt it lacked flavor. There was also no option to choose your spice level. The purple rice was pretty dry overall and absorbed most of the soup. Traditionally, they give you a raw egg to come with the dish so you can crack it open when it is boiling when it comes out. They didn't give any of my table eggs unless asked for. It is also supposed to be served with a fried fish, but all we got was a fried piece of fish cutlet? Looked like a chicken nugget and it was so dry too. The side dishes were not that good either. The pickled cucumbers, salad with dressing, kimchi and sauteed fishcakes weren't really to my liking as many other tofu restaurants. Oh and they charged me with the wrong table number. The order ended up coming out twice as expensive and had alcohol on it which we didn't get. It was a good catch on my end for looking at the invoice/receipt. The staff apologized and credited back the amount and fixed it. Overall, 2.5/5. Lack of customization to your bowl, mediocre menu and no eggs! Pretty disappointed overall at the Korean food scene in Colorado.
I always like coming here. Great food. Totally, the service was lacking. There weren't enough servers. The stew was delicious and my son devoured the bulgogi. We got our food a bit late and getting follow-up service was really late. I recommend hiring more people, especially on a Friday night The place was nice and open and the tables brought out an authentic Korean house environment. You find yourself distracted by the Korean singers on the TV. Regardless, I still love coming here and plan to continue. Make sure to stop on by.
Came here on a Saturday afternoon at 2 PM and the place was busy. the seafood pancakes were delicious and crunchy. Japchae was generous in size. The LA shortribs plate for two had very tough meat. I was unable to tear it apart. They played K pop music with several wide screen TV going. Easy parking with handicap parking spot right in front.
Enjoyed lunch here at the So Gong Dong Tofu House. This is one of an international chain that stretches all the way to South Korea. I've never had Korea food, as far as I know. We shared an appetizer of crispy (fried) dumplings with sauce. I like sweet potatoes, so I ordered the #27 combination of sweet potato noodles, bulgogi (sliced beef), rice and vegetables ($15.95). The rice was hidden under the noodles and beef, all served warm, with other ingredients served cold in small bowls. The portions are generous. I liked it a lot! Service was competent and quick, and parking was convenient too. We were among the first at lunch, but the restaurant soon became busy. It's a cheerful place, not too noisy, with tables and chairs but no booths. If I get to this neighborhood again, I'd be happy to experience this restaurant again.
My boyfriend and I came here because I was feeling under the weather and was craving tofu soup. The interior of this restaurant is very modern and clean. Upon entering we were promptly seated and given water. There is a good selection of alcohol provided. Of course Soju and beer. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. I decided to visit this place because they offered a two person combination that came with bulgogi and tofu soup. In my opinion I found the tofu soup a bit bitter, but tastes great with the rice. This is my boyfriend's first time trying dolsot and he loved it. Everything about the meal was delicious along with the banchan. The price is reasonable and worth every penny. Definitely a must visit.
Silky tofu in a steaming hot ttukbaegi (stone pot) with clams is perfect on a cool fall day or really, any day . The kimchi, fish cake, and galbi were all delicious. I come here often and have never been disappointed. The staff is kind, the food comes out fast, and the place has a clean, old-school feel. Bonus points: they play K-pop most of the time, which makes the whole experience even better.
Came here with a friend. We were greeted warmly and sat right away. The restaurant is modern and clean with k pop videos on the TVs. Our waitress was polite, warm, and efficient. We ordered the kimchi tofu soup and cold buckwheat noodles. Both were very authentic and flavorful. All of the banchan were delicious as well. This is my go to Korean restaurant and worth the 20 minute trip from downtown Denver.

I ordered the spicy seolleongtang, which lived up to the spice and it was delicious. There was glass noodles in it as well. The service was quick and the ambience was great. It was full with music playing. I was a little reluctant to try the food after moving here, as I have high expectations, but it hit the spot! I'm only giving it four stars because the side dishes were a little bland. They might be catering to the demographic here, but the side dishes are just as important to me as the main (lol)! read more

This place is such a classic and what I love is that the food is always so consistent. Some may find this place a little overpriced. But for the consistency and what you get it is worth it. They are most well known for there tofu soup which is amazing! I love getting that with the stone pot rice combo set and you can choose spicy pork and you get fish! I love getting the rice wine with pancake and bossam it is one of my favorites and the rice wine is so so worth it! The pancake is a great size! I also love ordering the ssam bap which is meat and a side of lettuces and you eat it like a wrap. Very very refreshing! Truly everything on the menu is always consistent. If though you are looking The typical lots of banchan Korean restaurant, it is not, as you only get 4 different banchan. I will always be back read more

I come here for the rice. The rice is cooked so well and the consistency that I like but can never achieve. I am a suck for any dish cooked in a clay pot especially rice because there's always a chance it's burnt at the bottom and that's the best. The tofu stew was quite delicious too. It's very heartwarming and fills my soul with love and warmth. It's perfect for the winter months. One of my favorite things about Korean stews is that they are great for hangovers so I wish this place was closer to me. All in all, a great place that reminds me of the restaurants I ate at in Korea. read more
Combo Meals - fish and tofu soup. It was very tasty. I wish that the side dishes have more variety. Received 4 side dishes which are big for side dishes. The fried fish was crispy and tasty. Love the food. Feel like I am treated TERRIBLY by the staff !! EVERYTIME !! Plz open another location, so I don't have to deal with you're FUTURE MANAGER, SO SHE TELLS ME she will be !!! She seriously speaks in Spanish about ME , to other Spanish speaking staff memebers !! And, as I watch them laugh and ridicule me,,, Plz make them aware that the majority of AMERICANS SPEAK SPANISH !! In fact, I speak four languages!! RUDE OFFENSIVE !!!! read more

Oh my gosh, Tofu House. I'm not surprised this place has been around so long. It was a fantastic meal. I went with Combo A to get a little sampling and it was delicious. The tofu soup came out boiling hot, the pork belly was well marinated and tender, and the rice came in a piping-hot stone bowl so it got nice and crispy on the bottom. I ate well past the point of being full because it was just too good to stop, and I still had a ton of leftovers. All of the sides were also tasty and I'm glad I brought them home because I kind of ignored them while i was there. Qr code menus and doing a lot of sanitizing between guests. read more

This quaint spot boasts a menu with a wide range of tofu soup options and enticing combos where you can get barbecue meat in addition to a tofu soup. If you haven't tried soft tofu soup, the tofu is custard-like in consistency and not like some of the more spongy versions available. It's generally quite spicy, so they're great for a cold day! The rice comes in stone pots and each dish is served with a small fried tilapia appetizer and sides. Not the best I've had but decent given the limited options. I ordered the ramen noodle tofu soup which was a perfect pairing of two of my favorite things! The fried dumpling appetizer was also really tasty. Warm friendly service. read more

If you enjoy spicy Korean food, then TOFU-rrific! The 1962 Tofu Soup was warm, flavorful, and heavenly. The soft tofu, oysters, and clams were fresh and filling. The tofu was silky and pudding-like. The Korean purple rice offered a nutty flavor that compliments very well with the soup. The bulgogi meat was tender and well seasoned with soy sauce and ginger. This combination meal serving includes a side of fish, bulgogi, kimchi, pickled radish, and fish cake. read more

Growing up in a Korean household, my mom would make home cooked Korean meals daily. I was a little homesick so we decided to stop into Tofu House. Honestly, nothing beats by moms cooking, but our meal was as delicious and enough to satisfying us! I love how they do the stone pot rice. At the end you pour the hot water into it and scrape the pieces off so it forms more of a thick rice consistency. Not a lot of places do this so that was really great. This is the 2-person combo, a small soondubu , like 2 strips of LA galbi, bento box portion of side dishes and two small portions of rice for a grand total of $50?!?!? Yeah this is ridiculous, these low-tier korean foods. Man the korean food scene, let alone the food scene in Denver is atrocious and trash. This is what happens when theres no competition. Omg! I don't know why I have never written a review before because I have been to this wonderful restaurant at least 10+ times! Tofu House is a Korean staple that remains true to their roots in terms of serving what they are known for - Tofu stew! If you want a yummy filling meal, come over to Tofu House! My friends and I always get their combo dishes which include: Bowl of hot rice in a stone pot, a small de-boned fish, tofu stew, and a meat of your choice (I usually get pork belly). They give you so much food for such a cheap price! I usually am taking home the meat as leftovers because it can be consumed in more than 2 sittings. I love Tofu House and it is one of our go-to places! read more

This was my first time tried Tofu House restaurant in Colorado. I had tried Tofu House in California. I ordered the short rib dish and it was not bad. However, I still think that California location is better than here because I wish they have more varieties side dishes. Overall, it not too bad. I would recommend you try it. read more

I'm not sure WHY it's taken us this long to try tofu house!! My only regret is that it's taken this long to get their silky, soft tofu in my belly. This will easily become my go to Korean, comfort good joint. The wait staff are patient and kind. My only "knock" is the service is a bit difficult because the servers are mostly Korean. They do their best to assist you but they can feel kinda cold.. just a FYI nothing to not come back for. We got the 2 person SoGongDobg combo. omg it was SO MUCH FOOD but soooo delicious. The tofu soup was some of the best I've ever had. The pork jikhwa bbq was okay. Lathered in the typical Korean red pepper paste. I was definitely having food fomo of other table's dishes so that's a great sign. They also have table side KBBQ which is nice. Glad they live up to their name of tofu soups. Soft silky. I could sleep on their tofu as pillows. Overall good little mom and pop chain joint. Floors are sticky. Staff can be off putting but when I'm craving Korean this is the place imma hit up. read more

Recommendations for what to get here: 1. Cold buckwheat noodles (naengmyun) 2. Cold buckwheat noodle combos (naengmyun with rither bulgogi (beef) or kalbi (short ribs) 3. Spicy tofu soup The place is great! Lots of seating for groups of four or more (they can move tables together). The place is clean. There's plenty of parking outside. The staff is very friendly. The customer service is typical Korean restaurant style-- hit a call button on your table and the staff will come instantly. Also, all meals come with complimentary (refillable) side dishes, to include some good kimchi! They do serve alcohol! Beers and soju. And there's ALWAYS some poppin' Kpop playing. Just ask them to turn it down if it's too loud and they'll be nice about it. Overall: STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. My go-to spot for the naengmyun! read more

I have been going to Seoul BBQ for Korean home cookings and I was curious for a while to try out tofu house. Soon tofu per se, tofu house definitely had Seoul bbq beat. It was so soft and you can tell from the taste that the tofu was freshly made. Their spiciness is quite mild which is a plus to me. However I like the appetizers at Seoul better: better taste in general and more options. I agree with the other reviewers that service here is pretty slow. I went in on a Wednesday before 6pm. There were only two other groups of customers but our table was not very frequently attended. I will come back here maybe on a cold day when I am really craving for hot tofu soup. Otherwise I think I will stick with Seoul BBQ. read more
This Korean barbecue and Tofu House is one of my favorite restaurants in Aurora and OnHavanaStreet. I typically go on a solo lunch or dinner here and enjoy a combination A, B or C and take home the leftovers. I love their tofu soup and short ribs. Most of their meals come with a very generous portion of rice and side dishes. I definitely prefer dining in the restaurant so that the tofu soup and rice are served in a hot stone pot, however today I did take out from GrubHub. The takeout experience was very easy and the food was still super fresh with great quality. I love that they separated each side dish and also placed the marinated sliced beef on foil to keep it warm during delivery. I do enjoy the tofu soup piping hot so I placed the soup from the takeout container into a bowl and microwaved it for a minute or two. If you're looking for a really good Korean barbecue spot and amazing tofu soup then definitely check out Tofu House at the Village on the Park shopping center off of Havana and Iliff. A few months back I also dined in at an off time and the seating options allow for lots of social distancing if you plan to dine in during the winter months. read more
The food is really good. I love the pot of rice, very unique. I think I ordered the comb E for 2 people. There's one soup, two rice, two fish(we got one bone in and one bone out) and the spicy pork belly. If you ge the fish I'd recommend bone out! One thing that is disappointed was the service. We Came, We Conquer and We Feast! TOFU COMA! TOFU COMA Indeed! Prior to Saturday November 8th 2014, I came to this restaurant and talk to the Chef and Owner, Steven Woo and their staffs with regards bringing a BIG Group, through our Meetup. When I arrived on that actual Saturday, everything is being set up on the LEFT WING of this establishment. I came in early as usual at 17:00hrs. From there, my friends came at 17:30hrs for Dinner and order away... Our Staffs answered some questions with regards to the Menu and even show how to mix all the food stuffs when the Main Entrée arrived... From the simple small banchan that everyone shared, though everyone have their own Sesame Glass Noodle, I think the big favorites are the TOFU Stew or TOFU Soup itself. Some order with Pork Belly, majority opt with PORK, some just with Tofu and Mushroom. Heard from a couple of my friends, the Tofu are so SILKY, MELT IN THE MOUTH MOMENTS OH MY! From what I could recall these are what my friends ordered that evening : * COMBO Menu, Pork and Squid * COMBO Menu, Beef Short Ribs with Seafood Tofu * COMBO Menu, Beef Short Ribs, PORK Belly and Tofu Stew * Pork and Squid BBQ Plate * Tofu Stew * Pork Filled Dumplings and Tofu Since the weather was a little too hot for me, once again... I opt to have their BBQ Plate. This time around I opt to have the Squid Jikhwa ($16.99), aka Squid and Mixed Vege BBQ Plate, in which I ask for EXTRA EXTRA SPICY but boy am I a little disappointed coz this Dish is NOT AS SPICY as I was hoping for. *SIGH* Another disappointment was it was filled with MORE SLICES OF ONIONS, aka OVERLOADED WITH ONIONS... YES, your Main Entrée comes with a bowl of Rice and Cabbage Miso Soup. YES, they can offer more of the same Banchan if you finished yours etc... From my other observations, for those who opt for the COMBO Menu, unfortunately, the Main Entrée comes with Fried Fillet instead of the Fried Whole Small Fish. *SIGH* Hmmm, I wonder and ponder why the differences.. Maybe due to the Supply and Demand?? Maybe the Norm Palate, aka the Americans, cannot consume or eat WHOLE SMALL FISH?? Its more like 3 stars for the Squid BBQ PLATE... But for this visit, they have 4 stars in my books, coz, for one, all my friends are happy with what they order and had that evening. As long as my friends are happy, I am happy for them. The service can be a hit or miss due to the fact, many other patrons are there when we are there.. so it takes awhile for your main entrée to be ready. Hence, do have extra patience if they are swamped during PEAK HOURS. I would definitely return when its BITTERLY COLD Outside to order that SEAFOOD STEW as my next mission! Thank you Tofu House... Thank you.. See you soon! We wish Sogongdong Tofu House well in their Business Undertakings.
