    Lunch General Tso's Chicken
    Craig D.

Very good local sushi bar and Russian Asian with a consistently good menu choices that is a great value. General Tso's chicken is made of high quality white concern perfectly cooked with fresh, slightly crisp broccoli. Sushi rolls are very good with fresh fish. Service is attentive and very good. Catch the happy hour from 4-6 for great prices sushi and drinks!

Chicken wings and hibachi steak lunch box

Nice, clean spot in a shopping center without many options. We found the service to be friendly and kind. Chicken wings were so-so. The lunch box was really yummy, a ton of food, and came with your choice of soup and an egg roll. The steak was cooked well and melt in your mouth. The hot and sour soup was very good, and the prices can't be beat. A good choice if you're shopping in that center.

We love this place. Always ordering sushi to go, but last night we decided to dine in. Got my free small house sake based on my "Yelp Coupon". Started with an appetizer of their "Sweet Potato Roll" with brown rice. We started liking these for an appetizer a while back. Such a generous order here compared to other places. Yum. Then we shared the King Pao Chicken with brown rice. Amazing. I like mine a bit spicier, so asked for chili oil and siracha. Add some Japanese beer and you've got a winning combo. Thanks to the staff. They are always on point.

Received takeout from here. My Mongolian beef had maybe 6 thin slices of beef and the rest was onions. Very disappointing.

I ordered the bang bang shrimp roll, which is tempura bang shrimp, topped with shredded crab - freaking amazing! I also ordered the angry crawfish roll, which is tempura shrimp with cream cheese topped with baby crawfish and that was great, but my favorite is the bang, bang shrimp. That shouldn't stop you from placing a togo order though because I saw five people come in for pickups while I was there. We decided to stick around and have our late lunch/early dinner in house. We hadn't eaten all day so we may have over ordered for two, but we enjoyed the leftovers the next day. We started with the tempura vegetables that had a super light fry on them and a good variety of veggies. Then we both had bento boxes which included veggies, rice, dumplings, sushi and a protein. On one we had teriyaki chicken and the other was scallops plus an add on of chicken katsu. I thought the scallops were going to be normal sea scallops, but they were the tiny bay scallops. Still tasty, but worth knowing before ordering. I'm glad I doubled down on protein with the chicken katsu which came on it's own plate with dipping sauce. Now that I know what to expect, I'll definitely be stopping in again for dinner or placing a togo order when I'm near Clements Ferry.

Tess was kind and friendly and great interior vibe like a sports hub and plenty of seating outdoors and live music. Great environement and service overall! It comes down to aboiut 7-8$ per roll and $4 for regular california roll or spicy tuna roll. INSANE PRICES! Sushi pieces are a bit skinny and if you get a lot, it comes a massive platter. Nigiri and Sashimi were decently big as well for a good price. Overall, great sushi, delicious flavors and combinations unique to Mt. Pleasant. Highly recommend!

My server, Michael, had me seated…read moreright away and, when I asked for recommendations, demonstrated an impressive familiarity with the menu. On his suggestion, I ordered the Steak Chimichurri Taco and The Hangover. Each was distinctive enough to deserve its own mention. The steak in the Steak Chimichurri Taco was exceptionally tender and full of flavor. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the toppings complemented the beef rather than competing with it. The goat cheese was just assertive enough to stand out without overpowering the other ingredients, creating a layered, well-balanced bite that kept me coming back for another. The Hangover was equally memorable--and completely unexpected. Had I actually read the menu instead of putting my trust in Michael, I probably wouldn't have been quite as surprised. Fortunately, I did, because his recommendation was spot on. Once again, I was treated to a wonderful balance of flavors and textures. And there's something undeniably satisfying about seeing a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg crowning a taco. FOOD - 10:10 Michael struck exactly the right balance between being attentive and giving me space to enjoy my meal. He knew the menu well, answered my questions confidently, and his recommendations couldn't have been better. SERVICE - 10:10 The atmosphere was every bit as enjoyable as the food. The music was at the perfect volume, the playlist fit the space well, and the lighting was bright enough to feel welcoming without being harsh. It's the kind of place where you could comfortably have a business lunch just as easily as a date night. AMBIANCE - 10:10 Will I be back? Absolutely. If you haven't been here yet, I'd suggest making this your next excuse to treat yourself. Bon appétit.

I appreciated how they filled their spicy tuna rolls with chunky pieces of fish instead of the usual ground tuna used in other sushi restaurants. Their offerings and methods of preparation, paired with their higher price point, suggests they are a higher end establishment. However, the atmosphere was undoubtedly on the casual side, and their service, although friendly and knowledgeable, exuded a lack of experience and the same attention to detail that they put into their food. This was especially apparent after coming from eating at other restaurants in a similar price bracket, where you can sense the waitstaff had a lot of pride and passion for their craft, and it didn't feel like it was just a job for them. In contrast, our experience at Shiki felt far more transactional, and lacked that "customer obsession" and genuine warmth. That said, it's difficult to judge a restaurant's culture just from a single night, and maybe other customers had a different experience from us. Ultimately, if good sushi is your priority and you are willing to splurge a bit, Shiki meets and even exceeds that bar.

They exist, but some of the best are so unassuming you can walk right past them. Shiki is exactly that kind of place--a small, warm, inviting restaurant tucked into a strip mall that feels like a neighborhood secret. Loc, our waiter, greeted us as soon as we sat down with water, a friendly welcome, and a helpful walk-through of the menu. We started with wine and sake--always a promising beginning. The first course was seaweed salad with baby octopus, and I could have happily sipped that dressing like a cocktail. Light, bright, perfectly balanced, with tender octopus that added just the right bite. From there we decided to sample our way through the menu and ordered a lineup of rolls: Spicy Yellowtail, Spicy Shiromi, Rainbow, Spider, Lemon Salmon, and Eel. Each one seemed better than the last. The Spicy Shiromi was the clear standout--absolutely spectacular. What really sets Shiki apart is that every roll has its own distinct flavor instead of the one-note sameness you find at so many sushi spots. You can tell real care goes into the preparation. If you're searching for fresh, thoughtful, genuinely delicious sushi, don't overlook this little gem. Shiki is the real deal.
