There are 3 tables for group dining or bar seating along the wall. If you have a large group I recommend taking your order to-go. The service was great! Very courteous and no hassle to order. We had leftovers so they kindly offered a cute tote bag to take our chicken home. Our group of 3 ordered the 12 pc. Wings Combo and the 6 pc. Drumsticks Combo in the Signature Crispy flavor. If you are on the Pasadena subreddit you may know that since last month or so, all the craze has been photos and posts about a person in a peculiar (but also kinda cute) chicken costume walking around and advertising for this place. We saw this spot when we went to Fogo a few weeks and recently decided to give it a try. It's walking distance from me so didn't have to worry about parking but there's usually lots around Pasadena near this area. Walking in you could tell it was relatively new as it was very clean inside. There's an iPad to order but we wanted their crab Rangoon special (2pc for 99 cents) so we ordered with who seemed like the owner or manager. He was very nice and patient while we ordered. I got the bento box with the signature crispy boneless wings and upgraded to fried rice. My bf got the combo with boneless crispy as well. We got the original since they had a condiment station with a lot of different sauces to try in really cute little heart shaped sauce cups. My favorite was the soy garlic and my bf liked the Japanese dressing and spicy mayo. They both included a drink and I got their homemade strawberry lemonade which was very tasty and refreshing. Not too sweet and fresh! The chicken had a great crunch and clearly made to order. I wish the steamed veggies were warm but they actually were cold and the fried rice was meh. I wanted to try all the available flavors so I ordered one each, but I received some wrong items. I ordered one garlic soy and one signature drumsticks, but received two signatures. Came here to pick up my phone order. Ive been curious about this place since the moment they put the sign up. When I saw the ads on social media, I just remembered again and ordered combo and chicken only for our lunch. The wait was long but it's expected because I saw some tips on Yelp and they fry your chicken so they are fresh! The staff and owner were so nice, they gave me honey green tea and a mochi as a complimentary and apologized for the wait. The bag and sauce containers are so cute as well. Delicious Japanese fried chicken spot! I ordered the bento box with boneless Garlic Soy chicken and the small boneless Fuji Wasabi fried chicken combo. The chicken was cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with plenty of saucy marinade. The bento box came with half a boiled egg, pickled radish, rice with furikake seasoning, one gyoza, and steamed veggies. The flavors all complemented each other really well and everything tasted fresh. I appreciated the fact that they included a variety of sides - it made for a well-rounded meal. When they first moved in, I thought they had a clever marketing scheme with their roving chicken character. It was funny and charming. And that's a good start. Pricing is average (but the wings are a big size, so it is quality). But they do have some money saving techniques like giving out styrofoam plates instead of paper. Their pickled radish was good too. We also tried their home made strawberry lemonade (a drink came with their food) and it was really good! We ordered the signature crispy in 12 wings. They were cooked really well and it was crispy! It def was hot and fresh. The fries were ok, a little over cooked. But a good addition to dip in the sauces or eat while waiting for the chicken to cool off. We dined there and I have to say, they barely have enough seating (only 3 tables and small bar seating style). Also, be prepared for your clothes to smell like smoke after! Came on their grand opening day and it was a great experience! It was quick and easy to order online for pick up. We were pleasantly surprised when we were welcomed with complimentary chicken, fries, and drinks since they were hosting their Grand Opening Party. We walked by and decided to try it out. We got 3 drumstick combo with fries and soda for $13. We got the original flavor without any sauce. The chicken was very hot and juicy. It has a crunch like Popeyes chicken. It has a flavor like an Asian night market chicken. Or maybe like pop corn chicken from a boba shop. The only downside is what others mentioned, the chicken is made fresh to order and it is 15+ minutes. Ours was almost 20 minutes for 3 drumsticks and there weren't orders ahead of us/super busy. That and seating is limited. 3 tables and 6 chairs bar style. If you order and all seats are taken, you will be standing around for 20 minutes. After being on the waitlist for what felt like an eternity at Lunasia, I gave up and decided to go to Tokyo Chick just down the street. Super eclectic storefront, with a guy in a chicken suit that you can take pictures with, a game where you can win a little nightlight, and friendly service. You can order from the kiosks or at the cashier, and it takes about 10 minutes to come out. The bentos are surprisingly filling, and the chicken and fries combo was generous. Personally I recommend the Tokyo Spicy flavor, and there is a sauce bar to serve yourself. The chicken came out freshly fried, with crispy and crunchy breading. The takeout boxes are so cute and WILL NOT open on you because of the e ay they are designed. They also give you a reusable bag that you can bring in to get a free musubi the next time you visit.
