Fun place with retro games and a bar. We took the family here today and had a good time. It's $10 per person to enter which adds up pretty fast but all of the games are set to free play allowing you to play as long as you want. The games were in good working order which is hard to come by with retro games. They only have six beers on tap but claim to have over 100 bottles and cans available. Awesome arcade with lots of classic games included some of my personal favorites NFL Blitz NBA Jams, The Simpsons Arcade, and Rampage plus many more. The drinks are reasonably priced and you can walk in and out with a wrist band which is great! Also, if you are a fan of Stranger Things they have "Dragon's Lair" from episode 1 of season 2 which is just as hard as they make it seem. $10 for free play on all your childhood favorites from pinball to super Mario, does it get any better? When I tell you this is a hidden time machine, it's insane! If you were a fan of some of the best classic games from the Nintendo era and you thrive off the arcade atmosphere, you will love it here! I had a blast and can see myself coming at least once a week. The bartenders are very generous and the food menu is very conscious of healthy eating. No food coma here! The adult late night session is hands down the best and beats heading out to any club or lounge (in my personal opinion). This by far has been one of the worst trips to an arcade I've ever had. That staff was beyond rude. I have games in my home and the ones I played there were in rubbish condition. I brought my niece and nephew and some drunk made passes at my niece. Tried to get help but no one came. To top it all off everything was sticky and grundgy... Not for a real lover of the 80s. Free Play is a great date spot! Went here on a Bumble date and it's perfect because it has all sort of video games, old and new! They also have a good menu and a bar. Such a fun place to be with your friends or on a date because they have tons of multiplayer games and a variety of machines. I recommend going on a weekday so it's not too crowded!! read more

I've been to Free Play twice now, once on a Saturday night, and yesterday (Sunday) at noon. The Saturday night vibe is pretty awesome, but it is definitely crowded and you're constantly bumping into people and having to wait for games to free up. Nonetheless, very fun. Going on a Sunday was by far my favorite, though. No waiting on games, just a few people hanging out, and don't have to wait so long on your food order. I love this place, can easily stay 3-4 hours. Can't beat that for $10 (plus whatever you spend on food and drinks, the prices of which are very reasonable). 10/10 recommend for solo hanging out or for a date night. Wow. Tons of old school arcade games in mint condition. The best part is that you pay a cover to get in and can play any game for as long as you want. We took our youth group for a few hours and had a blast for $11 a person. Can't beat that! There's a bar inside for the over 21 crowd. Plus, kids under 18 have to leave at 9 pm. My 13 year old son and 15 year old nephew looked like they were walking into Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory as they came in the door. Their mouths came ajar when they found out they didn't need tokens! I didn't tell them where I was taking them after Six Flags shut down midday due to a rainstorm. They stayed a solid three hours and had a blast with all the retro games. At one point, my son was playing a tournament on a 4 player game with 3 dudes in their 30's and 40's..all wearing glasses. lol My nephew was playing Q-bert! He said it was really hard. LOL read more

Went here for a company outing and it was a cool place. If you're a 90s kid it totally hits all the buttons. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, some light gun games. TONS of machines ranging from 80s stuff to pinball, lots of nostalgia and a good beer selection. My co-workers had some food and it looked like pretty standard bar stuff, nothing to write home about but I didn't have it myself. I spent around $30 and it was a great time. $10 to get in, they give you a wrist band and you just walk up to the game of your choice and hit start. I really appreciated that while they had craft beer, they also have cheap tallboys of the normal domestic stuff. Our bartenders were great, very friendly and attentive. It's a great place to spend a hot Texas day, only thing holding it back from a full 5 stars are the crowds. They have one of each machine and so if someone is playing a popular game then there might be a line, but all and all it's no biggie. A small group of friends and I visited Free Play Arlington unsure of what we would find but were pleasantly surprised to find a very well educated staff, a very adventurous beer menu, and a rush of nostalgia! Free Play makes it easy to enjoy yourself with a great variation of pinball and arcade style games from the past five decades or so. We have been to similar establishments in the Austin area and I am much more satisfied with the system Free Play has in place, allowing you to play unlimited games for only $10. I would go back time and time again if I lived in the area. I hope business will bring me to Arlington again and will always keep this place in mind for a great time! I always try to find fun places to go solo, so i decided to try this spot. What got me was the selection of arcade games available for free play. The food there was aight. I must admit though, I still grew fond of their pizzas. I didn't mind the background music at all..In fact, at times, to me at least, it added a sense of nostalgia to the overall theme. Almost gave it 4 stars. However, I wasn't feeling the guy girl ratio. Maybe the ladies don't game like that that I guess. I saw a few ladies (after 10pm), and even spoke with one or two, but there were mainly couples or small groups.. This is why I gave 3 stars to this spot... I'm very strict on male female ratio when it comes to rating places..I must have my eye candy in abundance lol. Also because I feel it's only OKAY if I'm chilling solo.. Now if I actually had people to hang with like that, or even a date, then it can be possible go to meet spot. This place is better for those type of scenarios. Would I come again? Of course. I don't think I would find any other arcade spot closet to me that has Street Fighter II Turbo. read more

Please, if management reads this, please put some hand sanitizer stations throughout the place! Other than that we had a pretty good time, took my teen daughter and showed her what gaming was like for her old man back in the day. I think they must reset the high scores every day cuz I got high score on Galaga, Donkey Kong, Frogger, and a couple others (unless Arlington gamers are just a bunch of chumps!). We stayed for just under two hours, so $10 admission was justified ($20 for two, plus tax = $25 and change). We did go during the day so there were a bunch of little kids but the MILFS came with them so it was tolerable. read more

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there are not enough chairs to go around and it is a little cramped in there when it is crowded.
