This place doesn't stand out when you're driving by but Oh my God! Their stuff is so dang good!!!! Plenty of parking. No long line to order. Food prepared in a great timely manner. Employees are friendly and answered all our questions and didn't seem bothered like other employees tend to be in other businesses. The Mac n cheese and the Heavenly BBQ is what my son and I ordered and they were both extremely delicious! Every bite was better than the one before. We saw this place on Shark Tank and had to give it a try. After doing so, my only comment is... what were they thinking? The food was meh, the service was horrible, and everything was way overpriced. When we got here no one was in the store during lunch time. Despite this, it took us 23 MINUTES to get the food we ordered. I'm not sure what the employees were doing, I could have made something better in less than half the time. The garlic tots we bought were $5, and for that price I assumed it would be a shareable size. Nope. $5 spent... for 15 tots. Don't waste your money, they were only good for the first few bites. The chicken Asiago melt, which was a whopping $9, advertised "fried chicken" as its protein... but it was clearly just a frozen chicken patty from Walmart. For $9. It tasted horrible no matter how much they doctored it up with sauce. The Grilled Chee Donut, which is supposed to be their specialty, just tasted like a bad donut that cost $4. You can't taste the cheese, and the donut itself had almost no taste. On top of it all, to go to the bathroom, you have to ask the employee to unlock it for you. They will not give you the key if they're busy, so you have to wait for them. This is completely ridiculous. The only other places I have needed to ask for a key to go to the bathroom have been run down gas stations. And when you get it unlocked, the bathrooms here aren't even clean. Don't waste your time or money here. Learn from our mistakes. Seriously, Shark Tank, what were you thinking? read more

The sandwich was alright, and the creamy tomato soup was really good! My only complaint is with the packaging they use for to-go orders. The flimsy brown paper bag used to hold our two soups and two sandwiches gave out when we were carrying it in from the car to the house. Soup ALL OVER the driveway and ruined our food. I went back to the store to get my food remade, and was made to pay for it all again, even though they are the ones stuffing too much food in a cheap paper bag. If you're sensitive to spice I don't recommend however, I like spice. The Mac and cheese was not good. Tasted like flour, the sauce was broken and there was no cheese flavor. Also, pepper in Mac and cheese is weird. I like flavorful super cheesy Mac and cheese. I'll definitely try their other sandwiches. Dallas prices were 25-33% lower (before leaving the franchise altogether). Plus other locations offer discounted combos, half sandwiches, double decker sandwiches, even a $1.50 soup "dipper". I saw none of that on the menu here. BUT, if you want a super greasy grilled cheese donut, they've got you covered. They say they price the menu to the community, but they missed the mark here. My husband and I were wanting to try something new for dinner close to home and came upon this gem! We love hot melts and anything with melted cheese is a win in our books! We were instantly greeted with a friendly face upon stepping into this restaurant! We both decided upon the same sandwhich, the Kickin Chicken, because it sounded amazing and came highly recommended by the kind young man at the counter. The Kickin Chicken was delicious! We were not disappointed! My husband got it with the mac and cheese and I chose the cheese curds. The mac and cheese is very delicious and creamy. Unfortunately, the cheese curds were quite disappointing (dry and quite bland). Next time I will get the mac and cheese. They have homemade ranch, but it tastes like it came from a bottle. The main reason why we might not frequent this joint is that the prices are outrageous. They do not include a side with their dandwhiched like their sit-down dining competitors do. I know this is something that will probably not change since it is a chain, but it is something for them to consider. We were too full to try any of their deserts, but we hear that those are what they are known for! Perhaps we will venture in again and try a donut grilled cheese! read more

Ok, this isn't normally the type of place that normally garnishes a 5 star review from me; sandwich shop, normal fare, standard service etc etc etc. But TOM CHEE WASNT the same ole same ole! Let's start with the sandwich. I ordered the Crunchy Garlic Chicken sandwich with sauteed mushrooms and let me tell you, it was a near perfect sandwich. It was a perfect size, and most importantly the bread held up. Anyone who knows me, knows I can't stand messy food, and I was worried this one was gonna be. But it wasn't! There was the perfect amount of ingredients inside the bread, the bread was strong and this sandwich was ohhh so good. We also ordered the donut grilled cheese. I only had a bite but wish I could've ate more of it. To be honest, it kind of tastes like a funnel cake. Really good dessert. Now the service. The service was one of the best I've ever had, especially in a setting like this. EVERYONE was more than accommodating, and pleasant. The employees went out of their way to make sure we understood the menu and were happy with our visit. It was so refreshing. Kudos to all of the employees. We WILL be back. Inside is pretty small and basic, a line to walk up and order from the counter, and a handful of tables to sit at inside and outside on the patio. The story of Tom+Chee is up on the wall so that is cool to read the story of the chain. I got the Flying Cow and the babe went for the Grilled Mac and Chee. We opted to split a bowl of the basil tomato soup. The sandwiches were made to order so they took about 10 minutes from time of order until they were brought out, nice and piping hot with all the melty goodness going on. My sandwich had turkey, bacon, and a tarragon mustard that really made it pop. Comments on the Mac and Chee were that it tasted good, but could use a little something to bring it over the top instead of just a "carb sandwich." The tomato soup though, holy cow. It was SO GOOD. We had to wait patiently for it to cool off because it literally came like a little bowl of molten lava but once it was palatable, we downed it.
