10/21/2019 Second visit. Where Located at the foothills of Albuquerque's Sandia Mountains and where my Wife was raised. Ambiance 5/5 El Patron is a popular destination for Locals and Tourists for New Mexican cuisine. The decor inside is classic Spanish architecture with artwork throughout a number of dining areas. There is also a nice outdoor dining patio in the back for parties and large groups. Service 5/5 We had reservations and our group of five was seated shortly after our scheduled time. The restaurant was just getting busy after being seated. There were a couple dedicated servers working the patio who brought our menus and took our drink orders. Food 5/5 El Patron's menu has al the popular dishes with options for New Mexico Red Chili Sauce. I recall what my Wife ordered, Blue Corn Cheese Enchilada and Carne Adovada plate. Both were delicious. Desert 5/5 We ordered Sopas with honey for our party. We recommend anyone interested in New Mexican cuisine to try this El Patron location which is the better of their two locations. Eat well my friends, SYOY.

We found this place by a recommendation from a Local ! our waitress was the best! very sweet & gave us awesome service it felt like we'd had known her for years. We asked her for two of the best plates ! we got the combination plate and the chicken lasagna with serrano crema sauce! WOW LET ME JUST SAY! that was the best new mexican food we have ever had. HANDS DOWN! We will definitely be coming back! Cozy little restaurant & great for meeting with groups or bringing your family! also has a very cute little patio seating area!

This is one of my favorite Mexican/ New Mexican restaurants. The servers are always so pleasant and patient, even elevators we come in with a big group. We came in with our crew for brunch after ballooning this morning, including breakfast cocktails. I had the Huevos Americanos which are a great value. Our server, Teresa was great and very prompt with everything. Their takeout is also a great option!

Morning, dog at the groomers & hungry. Hmmm where to eat, there's a bunch of our favorites around here. But I spot this place and decided to stop. Seats, menus and choices. Too late for breakfast specials so we opt for the Jimmys Burrito Special & Breakfast Tacos. Chips & Salsa arrive - thin chips, sprinkled with pepper, salsa good with a moderate heat. Food delivered - burrito was nice size, tortilla on the thinner size & stuffed. Good, but nothing to make it standout. Spanish rice was excellent with a creamy sauce? mixed in to keep it moist. The taco plate was pretty basic - street taco size with bacon mixed into the egg, then add lettuce & tomato. Service was decent. Overall, food was average, nothing to make it standout or particularly memorable.

    Sizzling veggie fajitas!

A gem in NE ABQ for casual New Mexican food. Easy access, parking. Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Extensive menu, something for everyone. They cover the New Mexican staples, plus they have many offerings for those not in the mood for Mexican. And the prices are very reasonable. We had veg fajitas and a burger, so did not really test the kitchen's acumen, but those dishes were great.

While they may be a bit smaller than some competitors, the quality more than makes up for it. The free chile was absolutely on point--perfectly spicy, just the way we New Mexicans like it. I'm still thinking about that bold, delicious heat and can't wait to go back for more. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and I went through the drive-thru. Service was quick and efficient--I was in and out in no time. Overall, a great experience and a spot I'm excited to visit again soon!

Not only has the burrito tortilla been downsized but the contents inside have also been significantly downsized. I doubt there was a full egg in my breakfast burrito as I opened it up and there was about a teaspoon of egg. There were about five bites of potato and I bet there was maybe 1 tablespoon of carne adovada. I also ordered garnish on all three of the breakfast burritos I ordered and only one of them had garnish. I added the sour cream at home so I wouldn't have to pay extra. Please see the photographs from the prior pictures I've provided, compared to the burrito that I got this morning. The service was great, and the food was tasty, as always, but I will be SEVERELY LIMITING the amount of times I visit Twister's in the future. Fast food needs to make economic sense for people to want to continue to go there. Raising prices and decreasing the amount of food that one gets is not a great strategy if you want to keep your long-term customers. I understand times are changing and prices are going up but when you get hardly any food for the same amount you've been paying or the price increases, it just doesn't make sense anymore. I'm disappointed to say the least and will keep Twister's on the back burner for the foreseeable future.

Just because it is in the IPCC don't think the food isn't good. I would come to the Indian Pueblo Kitchen even as a stand alone location. Every dish has an inspiration from Pueblo cuisine. For example, horno bread with the stews, indian tacos, and the pies are prepared as a Pueblo would. This time I had the indian taco. Quite tasty and the bread soaks up all the flavors from the toppings. The pie isn't overly sweet. All good. Enjoy local native flavor here.

The menu initially sounded creative, especially the waffles featuring pepitas, quinoa, and blue corn, which led me to assume that the same thoughtful use of ingredients would carry throughout the rest of the menu. The blue corn enchiladas were the clear highlight and were genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, the red sauce served alongside them tasted noticeably canned. I had hoped for a fresh, house-made sauce that would complement the quality of the enchiladas. The calabacitas were also barely seasoned and could have benefited from much more flavor. The eggs Benedict was disappointing. The addition of a sausage patty made it feel more like a typical American breakfast than the regional and authentic dish I had expected. Many of the available sides were also potato-based, mainly hash browns or French fries, which made the menu feel less varied and imaginative. The blue corn porridge was acceptable, and the generous amount of berries helped bring the dish together, but the porridge itself could have been much more flavorful. There is plenty of potential here, particularly if more attention were given to fresh sauces, seasoning, regional ingredients, and a wider variety of side dishes. The service was good, and the meal overall was fine, but based on my experience, it was not distinctive enough to justify making a special trip.
