We went here with my family. I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, we got the garlic bread to share my wife got the create your own pasta with penne, pasta, Alfredo, and prosciutto when it came out the entire dish taste alike. Somebody burned it. They did we make her dish minus the prosciutto. She got a "bad taste in her mouth." After that the penne pasta with the Alfredo sauce was pretty good. My uncle really liked his lasagna and my aunt got the spaghetti. Overall. The service was decent and the food was OK. Was it worth $40 a person? I don't think so. If they can get the food a little tastier, don't burn it bring the service up a little bit more. We could easily be a four or five stars. We might try it again for back in town we will see.

The customer service is def something else . Food my kind of cold . It was adorable I guess for the lunch special . But I def wouldn't be back again . It's been a while since I've had that kind of customer service and low quality food .

Went in for lunch after visiting Oakland for a matcha festival. I've gone to the other locations and have always had good food and good experiences. Wasn't the case here. We walked in to a pretty empty restaurant, but we weren't greeted for a good 3 minutes. There was a man at the counter helping a customer, a waiter standing at the food counter, a waitress serving a table. The customer in front of us seemed a little frustrated by the wait as well. There was an internet outage so they were having issues with printing. This was repeated several times while eating. I ordered a steak Caesar salad. The steak was forgotten and given in a cold ramekin- with cold gray meat. Not appealing. The baked pasta was dry and the cheese ravioli was over sauced. I won't write off the restaurant chain, but will not return to this location. The restaurant was quite dark.

Service was alright they forgot my chicken in the shrimp/chicken Alfredo, pasta was alright super greasy my favorite was the bruschetta. Carrots were super old and brown not fresh at all one piece had mold.

Tomatina in Alameda is our go to spot when we're craving pasta, and once again, my pic made it to their main Yelp page (Yaaaaay) At this point, they should just let me design the menu lol. Let's talk about those house made garlic rolls straight up addicting. I try to pace myself, but next thing you know, I'm three deep before the appetizers even hit the table. No regrets here ya feel me lol! My favorite dish is the Frutti di Mare, loaded with seafood and cooked just right no rubbery shrimp here. We usually start with the chopped antipasto salad, a solid one to share before diving into all the carbs. The Carne Combo pizza is always a hit, and I like to order a personal one for home but let's be real, I barely make it through the door before I'm going in for a slice smh. Another favorite is the Shrimp Pomodoro, but here's a pro tip ask them to add crispy pancetta. It's one of my food hacks. Sorry, chef, but I had to share. The one thing I wish this location had is fried calamari. It's my favorite app, and it would pair perfectly with those dangerous garlic rolls. Chef, bring it back I promise I'll order two : ) The place is always clean, the staff is friendly, and it definitely gets busy in the evenings. Service can be a little slow, but good food takes time. I feel like three stars would be lowballing, but four feels a little too generous. Yelp really needs a 3.5-star option that would be the sweet spot. Either way, we keep coming back, so that should tell you something : )

Stopped by for a spontaneous, solo weekday lunch and it was an alright experience. I walked in after 2:30pm and the restaurant was fairly empty, I had to wait briefly, as no one was at the front. Eventually, I was able to choose a seat, sit down and review a menu. I opted to choose the lunch special, where you choose from a soup or salad and an entree (such as a mini pizza, a sandwich or a pasta dish). I ordered the caesar salad with dressing on the side and a mini pizza with mushrooms and roasted red peppers along with a raspberry Italian soda. I was a bit bummed that they didn't have olives and green peppers as an option for toppings, since I usually like to order pizza with mushrooms and olives. Customer service was okay, since there was only one person working at the front, so it seemed a little inattentive. Although, I have no complaints and was satisfied with the service. The salad was a bit lackluster with too much cheese, and some wilted pieces of lettuce. I probably should've ordered a different salad or soup. The croutons were good and I'm glad I asked for dressing on the side. The mini pizza was pretty tasty, although I was a little sad that they didn't include enough toppings, the pizza was a bit sparse, and needed more cheese. I enjoyed the pizza, it was the best part and the crust was really good, in terms of texture and taste. The raspberry Italian soda was nice and refreshing. Overall, an adequate lunch experience, and it's nice you can get lunch combo for about $14-15. Lunch combo options are available Monday to Friday until 4pm, which is helpful. Possibly worth visiting.

    Chicken Alfredo with zucchini noodles

Went on a Thursday again for kid eats free with an adult entree purchase. First time trying the chicken alfredo with zucchini noodles. It was tasty. The zucchini noodles definitely don't take up most of the sauce but I didn't care since I wanted something healthier hence the zucchini noodles over any pasta. It was tasty and overall it filled me and I didn't have that heavy feel as is with pasta or high carb meals. Make your own calzone is delicious. Could select up to three toppings of your choice. Service was fast and efficient though it was a little busy though not the busiest I've seen. So that helps in terms of not having to wait too long. The server was excellent. Our toddler was hungry and starting fussing, and the server provided us with gratis bread which satisfied the toddler! Great job! It wasn't too loud since it wasn't filled, which makes it a nice eating out.

Came here to enjoy their lunch special. I tried the minestrone soup with fresh vegetables added and chicken spaghettini ( chunks of chicken spinach, Parmesan cheese mixed with spaghetti noodles)

Frutti de mere pasta and Housemade Meat Lasagna

The service was ok, I was treated but not ignored . I got to choose my table. The workers acted like they did not want to work or be there. The place had a few customers but not busy at all. Food was tasty, but the portions were smaller than I remember. There was also no bread. I thought we use to get bread before our meals. It's was a bit dark if you walked into the dinning area and the bathroom had some strange smell. But it was clean. Overall, I have to think about coming back here .

I went for lunch here with my colleague. Pizza is not mine. However everything else we ordered was yummy and fresh. Lucas the amazing server was funny and very professional. He did such an awesome job. Ty to the bartender for making my mocktails taste amazing when I asked for no sugar one. This is a gem in Alameda. Must try! Loved the seating by the window.

Appetizer ; Garlic Knott's , fresh olive oil and crushed garlic .

After scoping out the vibes of the place and the menu, I told myself to make sure to give this a shot. The place is in a redeveloped corner of Alameda right next to the bay. Probably used to be Navy base grounds back in the day. But now there's a couple of blocks worth of hip warehouse-y type of buildings, mostly restaurants, beer spots, some lofts and a little retail commerce. Very happening even though the surrounding area is a ghost town. Dining area not too big, maybe a couple of rooms that can hold about 20-30 heads each. Think there's another room for a private party/overflow. Decor pretty minimalist and stark. Service on the upscale side but in my stay, matched the decor, very minimalist and stark. Efficient enough but a little terse with little emotion. But I know service personality can differ from time to time or person to person. Just my obsy for one out. Daily Crudo ($20/4*) I think this rotates daily. Our choices that day was hamachi or a house smoked sturgeon. The sturgeon really piqued my interest but then it really wouldn't be a 'crudo' anymore would it, since I relate crudos to something 'raw-ish'. So I chose the hamachi. Very pretty plating, I love symmetry and balance. The thin slices of hamachi were indeed fresh, sitting in a stealthy pool of yuzu and olive oil. There are some fresno pepper slices and microgreens that garnish and a delicious nori cracker to break and accompany the crudo. This went really well with my glass of Fume Blanc. Caeser ($17/4.5*) We split this salad as their version sounded super cool. A miso-tinged Caeser dressing, lots of rustic garlic croutons and feathery soft grated parm and a soft-boiled egg. I love properly made Caesers and this was one of the best and unique versions I've ever had. The umami punch and the diverse textures just hit with me. A tad salty for a salad, but the crunchy and refreshing lettuce was able to absorb the salt blast. Huge salad too, like ideal for splitting and ridiculously large if for 1. Beef Short Rib ($43/4*) This was on special that night, and since I wasn't feeling Steak Frites (their only other beef entree option) this kinda fell on my lap. Very heavy and hearty dish. The short rib part was impeccable, super tender, gotta be sous vide. Perfectly seasoned with braising elements completely penetrated into the meat. There was a coarse gravy/sauce that covered which was okay, may have been the braising liquid just pureed. Served atop a huge pile of some risotto that I didn't inquire about. This risotto is what made the dish especially heavy. I ate most of it and it put me in a heavy carb coma. Lol. But there was a nice serving of perfectly cooked broccolini which helped balanced out the rich beef and carb heavy risotto. Chocolate Bar ($13/4.5*) Shared this for dessert as I really couldn't take more than just a few bites after the filling entree. But was this impressive, like high end dessert quality. Whoever does the desserts here definitely has some pedigree. The precision cut bar consisted of 3 layers. A brownie layer; a Bailey's mousse; and a salted caramel layer. I was loving the texture of all the different layers playing on one another. And every flavor was distinct without being overly sweet, which hit the right chords with me. A thick ganache garnished off to the side, which was good but just seemed a bit overkill with the already chocolate dominant bar. I think a cream element would have been a better contrast instead of rich chocolate on rich chocolate. But very minor quip on an otherwise skillful dessert. I finished the last few sips of my glass of Rhone with this dessert, and it left me one happy camper. I would definitely return as their style with flavors hits an accord with me. A little French, a smidge of Japanese and a lot of California. Rounding to a fiver, as this place made me more happy than not.

It was good, just not great Hubs said the calamari was eh, he ate it but not something he would go back for. I would swing by again as the views were pretty, the drinks were okay and the good did it's job

You can see the kitchen with the art deco mirror design in front. in addition to pizza, the restaurant serves pastas, parmagianas, salads, fun desserts. Started off with ordered sides as appetizers. GOLDEN ROASTED BEETS was delicious with the whipped ricotta topped off with arugula and pistachios. FRIED CAULIFLOWER CACCIO E PEPE: this was very unique with the crunchy bites of fried cauliflower dipping into the pecorino cream and black pepper. BROCCOLINI was cooked just right, not limp. 14" Margarita pizza with pepperoni on half. Crust was crisp GLUTEN FREE PIZZA with mushroom and pepperoni which was not bad. Dessert was a winner. You must leave room for this treat. The DECONSTRUCTED SPUMONI ICE CREAM. It came with an ice cream cone on a plate and a bowlful of soft serve ice cream, topped with roasted pistachios, tiny chocolate chips and a handful of wonderful Luxardo cherries. I have never tasted cherries so wonderful. This was a winner at the table. It was fun dining here tonight with our funny waiter, excellent service. I think the menu offered some unique food items not usually served at pizzerias. I will come back to try some of the other menu items. There is a parking lot directly next door for easy parking.

The astringency of the crab was a perfect juxtaposition to the sweetness of the corn. My daughter had the meatballs and pappardelle and was very happy with it. We also had the ricotta gnudi, one of my favorite things in the world. We added an order of perfectly roasted scallops with roasted Jimmy Nardelle (I think?) peppers, fava beans and corn kernels. Dessert was chocolate cake, which was the only slight disappointment (a bit on the dry, dense side). The corn pannacotta was exquisite. Staff is friendly, professional, efficient. We will be back for the Autumn menu.

We arrived for our outdoor reservation, which is situated on the sidewalk. There was a nice heat lamp set up but the traffic on the road was quite loud. The service members were really delightful. We informed them that we had to jump online to sign up for kids aftercare classes at 8pm to make sure they didn't think we were being pretentious d-bags at that time, which they all understood and encouraged us on. The menu is short and concise with three courses, each with a couple options. The wine list was very extensive and offered a ton of choices. We both decided to start with the Gazpacho and I ordered the Sugo pasta while my wife ordered the risotto. To finish I ordered the chocolate tart while my wife had the sorbet. First off, the gazpacho was amazing, easily a 10 out of 10! The flavor and texture was simply perfect. The Focaccia was also really good and an order must. The mains were good, but didn't quite hit the spot for us. The risotto lacked a bit in flavor, considering all the ingredients it consisted of. The Sugo sauce was good, but I found the pasta to be a bit undercooked; it was a thicker pasta that needed a little more time and didn't really adhere to the sauce that well. Overall I am giving it 4 stars, but this is mainly due to the mains that were served. The service staff were 5 stars as well as the gazpacho!

My partner ordered the chicken breast that came with a sort gravy on top with a side potato purée. I ordered the filet mignon with potato purée that was loaded with bacon, chives, sour cream and blue cheese. Both of our orders came with a sparse selection of 3-4 stalks of asparagus that had some yellowish color. It didn't have the freshest taste. My filet mignon was rather small in size, not much flavor and the potato puree could be something better when made at home (I.e. nothing outstanding). The calamari and gnocchi appetizers were OK but not more elevated than what we could get at a conventional diner. The presentation was somewhat reminiscent of cafeteria food. We were disappointed though still finished our meal. The atmosphere at CK is lit just right for romance without being too dark, completely clean, relaxed yet unsurprisingly quite empty for a Saturday night. The value of the meal was not reflective of the high rating that attracted us to CK in the first place. We likely will pay what we did for a better overall dinner experience elsewhere and consider trying out CK for brunch.

My favorite part is their collection thoughtful, balanced, complex drinks. If you want a variety of delectable old fashioneds with different spirits -- you're in luck! ---- Drinks ---- The cocktails are the main reason we keep coming back! Old Fashioned menu. They actually have several varieties and I've really appreciated how they use a different spirit for each! I won't review every single one, but you can't go wrong based on what flavor profile you want. They're all relatively sophisticated, balanced, spirit-forward, and consistently well made. The rest of the cocktail menu is equally thoughtful. Complex, creative, and well executed without trying too hard or going over the top with flavors or presentation. The food is delicious as well although we're usually just here for drinks before/after a meal. More small bites than full meals, but everything we've had has been tasty and pairs well with the drinks. We really enjoyed the empanadas; great flavor and execution. ---- Environment ---- Warm, cozy, and stylish -- but not pretentious or obnoxious. Music volume is always at a level where you can actually have a conversation, which I really appreciate! It does get busy, especially on weekends, but it's never been extreme. We've been seated immediately or only with a short wait most times. ---- Service ---- Friendly, welcoming, and attentive! Always had good experiences with the staff even when busy. Most of them have good recommendations. ---- Tips ---- Make a reservation if you can! Walk-ins are definitely possible, though you may end up sharing a larger communal table. We've done it before and honestly didn't mind. The bathroom can occasionally have a bit of a wait. ---- Overall ---- Love this place. It's become our go-to spot whenever we're in the mood for great cocktails and a relaxed evening and want a reliable experience. One of my favorite cocktail bars in Alameda.
