I have always been a loyal customer, bringing my dog here for almost a year now, but my most recent visit was extremely disappointing. I scheduled an appointment online for 11:00 AM to bathe my dog, who weighs over 95 lbs. Since no one answered the phone, I booked online assuming it would be for the standard one-hour slot. When I arrived, no one mentioned that the appointment was only 30 minutes. It wasn't until my dog was already completely wet and I was about to begin drying her that an employee came over to tell me I only had 5 minutes left because another appointment was scheduled. The problem is not simply that the appointment was 30 minutes--it's that I wasn't told this from the start. If I had been informed as soon as I arrived, I would have decided not to begin, knowing it wouldn't be enough time for such a large dog. Instead, I had no option: my dog was left wet, and I was forced to stop in the middle of the process. They told me I wouldn't be charged, but it was far from "free." I wasted my time, my dog was left wet and uncomfortable, and as many dog owners know, wet dogs start to smell if they aren't dried properly. I then had to drive home, figure out another place, and bathe her all over again--because I couldn't just pay somewhere else to finish drying a wet dog, she needed a complete bath from the beginning. Tomlinson's really needs to improve how appointments are managed and communicated, especially for large breeds. Customers must be clearly informed about time limits before starting--not after their dog is already wet. This would prevent frustration and ensure a professional, respectful experience for loyal customers. read more

My cat was ill and he stopped eating I had to find different food and the staff was very helpful I was able to return and exchange anything he wouldn't eat and was able to find a new diet he likes. Still lovin' Tomlinson's next day (and same day) delivery for my pup's chews! Lately they've been including sample packs of kibble for her to try, and although she eats wet/fresh food, I thought now that I've accumulated 3 different packs, I'd do a little comparison test. - 1st contender: Lotus grain-free oven-baked duck recipe for dogs. Protein content 27%, Fat content 12%, feeding portion 1.25 cups per 15 lb dog. Color, mid-brown. Shape, flower. - 2nd contender: Nulo freestyle grain-free adult lamb & chickpea recipe for dogs. Protein content 31%, Fat content 17%, feeding portion .5-1 cup per 15 lb dog. Color, dark brown. Shape, triangle. - 3rd contender: Kasiks grain free free run chicken meal formula: Protein content 25%, Fat content 12%, feeding portion .4-.75 cup per 15 pound dog. Color, light brown. Shape, circle. As far as how the contender's stack, all of these are great choices with a variety of meat types and veggie types. It's probably ideal to do a mixture of all three or a rotation in order to get a variety of nutrients from multiple sources, so these single meal/sample sized packs are perfect for my 10-15lb poodle. Personally, I prefer feeding her dark food because that blends in with the earth better once it comes out the other side, but if you want that bright dropping for easy spotting and pickup, the light kibbles will serve you better! What does the dog prefer? I did 5 different taste tests where I sat her down, gave her a good show, sniff and lick of each flavor, and then neatly displayed them before her for her to watch. I changed up the arrangements each time. The first few times, she went for the middle first, then right, then left. The last few times, once she got a hang of what was happening, she changed up her strategy to the right, middle, left. Overall, there was no preference in regard to flavor or appearance, so have no fear. Your pup will love any of them! As far as newly discovered delicious and affective chews, I have added 6" tripas (intestine) sticks to my pup's mix. These animal products can not shred the way bull-stick casing does (which is great for the front teeth/canines) or crunch the way light porous pizzle filling and lamb crunches do, so therefore require a good gnaw with the molars, scraping them clean and engaging the gums to keep her mouth fresh. read more

But I bought over $100 in food, to where the 5% additional discount was more than the $7 annual fee. With their Autoship, it's an additional 10% discount. I like that the have free delivery with no minimum purchase. Healthy Pet requires a minimum purchase of $49. I also like that they've never been late in a delivery and are more reliable than Healthy Pet. read more

It's always a pleasure for me and my dog to come into this Tomlinson's. We're always greeted with a smile at the door. You can really tell that the staff truly loves and cares about pets! My spoiled pup knows he's in for some treats and scritches whenever we come in. The manager, Justin, is super sweet and helpful. Ask him anything--he knows the products like the back of his hand. I'm always looking for the best toys and foods to give my dog and Justin knows just what to recommend. He asks about my dog's preferences and any allergies so he can cater to us perfectly.
