Enjoyed the whole experience, suggest calling ahead to get on their wait list during busy hours, and to mention acoustics were quite loud indoors. For me, an overall 4.5 rating on service, foods, ambience, and house-made desserts a real treat. Expect meal pricing ~$15-30pp. Today we ordered traditional comfort fare ... Cheeseburger & Fries, Ribs dinner and Grilled Chicken Mango Salad. All meals were high quality, prepared as requested, and tasty good to eat! AND don't miss their fresh baked rolls with Cinnamon butter to start your meal! For dessert, we shared the decadent Chocolate Malt Mousse pie - WOW! The homemade crust and creamy mousse were rich and chocolatey delicious! Other dessert choices all looked fabulous, and portion sized to share after a filling meal. I saw my review from 10 years ago and thought I'd update the review. We have come down here once a year every year since then and we have eaten here at least once a week every year. A couple of updates....the butterscotch pudding has been gone for years, we have never had another issue with the food since the last review, and my only suggestion would be to consider making plans early if you have more than 4 people. My family and I had lunch at the Grand Boulevard restaurant. We were not impressed at all with the food in spite of the upscale restaurant. We had fried calamari that were like the size of a French fry (no rings and had no tentacles). I suspect they were not fresh. I had Mahi Mahi fish taco. The strips of fish also did not appear nor taste fresh. The service was good. The waitress did her very best to make us welcome. The ambience was nice. The restaurant had been around for a while so it might need a facelift. I will not go back. read more

Definitely book ahead and make a reservation. It is so busy at all times-- even with a reservation, we were waiting for 20 mins. Service was decent. The food is GREAT. Our favorite dish was the Thai shrimp and scallops-- delicious--but I do wish they gave more of the curry sauce. We got the cauliflower salad, fries, and hummus & whipped feta as appetizers. Absolutely amazing! I booked this reservation a couple months ago when we were planning our trip to Destin. The place didn't disappoint! We were seated promptly. They had live music. Service was in point! Our food and drinks came out lightning fast it was pretty impressive. Their cocktails are top notch! I got the key lime martini and it was so good! My husband got the habanero margarita and the pineapple martini and those were delicious too! We both got the crab bisque. I highly recommend starting with that! I got the macadamia crusted snapper and my husband got the coconut shrimp. Both were delivered and great presentation! Save room for dessert and get the piña colada cake. We always come to Tommy Bahamas on our visits to the coast! We spent years coming to Sandestin without visiting, and boy were we missing out. We started at happy hour, got some small plates that were all delicious. The hot goat cheese dip was a hit with my hubby who doesn't even like goat cheese. We also did the pork sliders and coconut shrimp. All delicious! We were celebrating, so we hung out a while and ordered dinner as well. The macadamia crusted snapper was fresh and unique. I had the coconut crab cakes and they were also delicious. The broccoli was so tasty too! Can't say enough good things about the food, atmosphere, and drinks. Wow - from beginning to end we were extremely happy. I called on Mother's Day and asked if they could take a party of 9 and they said yes and put us in the covered gazebo and it was perfect!!!! The place is beautiful, the service was wonderful and the food .... Omg. DELICIOUS. Every dish. Every drink. The goat cheese dip was to die for, as was the pasta and seabass. First of all, I LOVE the location even though it is not on the water. It is absolutely beautiful. The women who greeted us were so delightful and helpful. We were coming for happy hour and she ensured my family could get a table right at the start of happy hour. It was much appreciated! We had a great table in the bar area. I got the frozen Mai tai and it was phenomenal. It was strong, but tasted great. My mom had the pineapple martini and it was beautiful and served with a flower. We started with coconut shrimp, mahi tacos and the goat cheese dip. WOW! Both were amazing, but the goat cheese dip won. We ran out of dipping bread and with no hesitation, our server brought us out more. My mom and daughter shared the filet and I had the steak salad. Our server was so friendly and kind. The vibes were vibing and we had the greatest time. As we were ending our meal, a musician setup and was playing some music. I am just so upset that I forgot to order dessert to go. Can't say enough good things about our dinner here!! The service was amazing, I couldn't pronounce or spell our waiters name but he was so nice and very great service. The FOOD omg... I got the macadamia nut-crusted snapper and my husband got the filet mignon both were amazing. We went to over 5 different seafood restaurants while staying in Miramar/Destin and this was by FAR the best experience and food. We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant last night to celebrate my oldest son turning 13! He wanted to go to a "really nice" restaurant so we decided to come here since it would be a new restaurant for all of us. I was able to make reservations via OpenTable so we were sat promptly upon our arrival. Our waiter was super attentive and gave great suggestions. He convinced my husband to give the cauliflower mashed potatoes a try and if he did not like them, he could sub them at no charge. My husband ended up loving it and he normally does not care for cauliflower. All of our food was great! The presentation was on point. I had blackened fish tacos with plantains. The plantains came with a coconut/yogurt like dipping sauce that was so good. They brought out a dessert tray because the birthday boy wanted some cake. This review is for happy hour. First off, it was offered anywhere (not just in the bar) and we enjoyed it outside on a sunny evening. Let me start by saying the service is beyond exceptional. Servers know a lot about the menu and food and speak glowingly about their favorites and suggestions. Ambiance is excellent and felt upscale without being stuffy. Service starts with fresh complimentary bread and two types of butter. We had the margaritas - excellent - and learned the secret ingredient is egg whites. We also had the coconut shrimp, fish tacos and pulled pork sliders. It was actually plenty of food for how hungry we were. Happy hour prices were a real bargain. This is a great spot in SanDestin. I wasn't aware Tommy Bahama had a restaurant. It's laid out like a pacific island plantation, with the restaurant on one side and the storefront on the other. Everyone was very polite and accommodating. We visited on a Sunday evening and got right in. Wasn't super hungry so opted for a couple of appetizers, soup and salad. Hubby had the blue crab bisque while I had the blue crab cakes and little gem Caesar salad. We also got an order of the lobster spring rolls. The bisque was the best we had ever eaten. Absolutely incredible, only thing that could have made it any better would have been some freshly ground black pepper. Crab cakes were very tasty, lobster spring rolls were good. I wanted a spicy margarita but waiter talked me into the spicy Paloma. I did not care for it at all so he switched it out for a spicy margarita. Made sure we weren't charged for the Paloma. I'm so glad I tried this restaurant in Destin, FL. We came here for early dinner during happy hour. They have a nice selection of drinks (cocktails and wines). They also have small plates for happy hour as well such as tater tots, chicken tacos, fish tacos, etc. We started with a couple of wine glasses and martinis. I ordered the sanibel chicken, which is very good. It was cooked perfectly. You should definitely try it. Their tacos are really delicious too (chicken and mahi mahi tacos). Rainy Saturday so we were able to enjoy lunch. Waiting for seating at the hostess stand was a little crowded, but everything else in the restaurant was open and social distancing was obvious. All staff was wearing masks. Food was fantastic. Our table enjoyed the Macadamia Nut Encrusted Snapper, the Blue Crab and Avocado Salad, and a couple Cuban Sandwiches. The snapper was reportedly cooked perfectly, and the salad was also well-liked. The Cubans were perfect lunch fare. Within a minute or two of our plates being served, the manager came out with two more sides of french fries; he stated that he didn't think the fries that came out were their best offering. We appreciated the proactive gesture, and the replacements did in fact look better, and were fresh and perfectly cooked. Only sad that we were unable to save room for dessert. They have the daily desserts on display up front, and the key lime pie looked fantastic! Definitely a place we'd like to return and enjoy in any kind of weather. read more
