Decent size pizza slices. Decent mall pizza. Caesar salad was ok. Nothing wrong with T&B's. Good for a quick lunch.

We needed a couple of cold brews and a few good pies to celebrate the rest of the night. Not only did Professor Pizza leave us impressed, but this establishment might have became my new spot for pizza. While the food was amazing, we were also beyond impressed with our waitress who greeted us with a smile and made our night seamless and enjoyable. As an Eastern European food connoisseur new to the Chicago area, I have carefully constructed a rating system that reflects my personal thoughts, feelings, and experience. Food 10/10 *QUICK SIDE NOTE WHILE ORDERING PIZZA* the cracker crust is amazing, the quickest made, and my top choice. The cracker style is cut into thin squares, like tavern style pizza. The cracker crust has a corn meal covered undercarriage (I think) which was delightful. The cornmeal undercarriage stimulates the tongue as if you swallowed sandpaper on accident, but in the best way possible. Trust me here.... The Grandma Crust is rich and decadent. While it was great, it's important to note that you can probably only eat one slice of this pizza before feeling full. Professor Wings (Garlic Parm) - We got these as a starter amongst 6 of us while we sipped on some brews. There was a great mixture of drums and flats. The sauce was kicking, and the wings were tender. They were very good, but not something you need to order. I would focus more on the pizza. Vodka Pizza with Sausage (Cracker Crust) - A very elaborate vodka sauce that explored the depths of creaminess while offering a tanginess that made you wanna snap your fingers. We added sausage to the pie to add some protein. I feel like the sausage was a well needed addition to the thinner pizza, and I would highly recommend it. This was the table favorite. Mushroom Leek (Cracker Crust) - this was the most unique pizza we ordered and probably my favorite. Concerningly, I think I would eat unlimited slices of this pie if allowed. It has a very rich and creamy mushroom taste but was light and delicate. It has been over a week since I've had this pie and I'm still smiling just thinking about it. Deluxe Pepperoni (Grandma Crust) - This was well done with a perfect flavor profile. The Grandma crust only allowed me to try a little bit of the pie, but what I had was pure gluttony. The cupped pepperoni was plentiful and the whipped ricotta offered complimentary creaminess with whispers of sweet "hellos" I would love to try this on the cracker crust next, so I could eat more of it. This easily could've been my favorite. Drinks 6.8/10 As a beer snob, I would say that the selection of beer was good but not great. Beer is the perfect drink to have with pizza, and I think their selection should be more widespread and diverse. Put more unique lagers and craft IPAs on the menu and the score would be higher. They carry pepsi products over coke products which is a major point on controversy for many people, but I won't go down that path in this review. Atmosphere 9.3/10 It was a great, casual atmosphere that would be perfect for an intimate dinner or a casual hangout spot. I don't watch much football these days, but it seemed to be a spot that people were coming to watch the Bears. Obviously, the bar scene would be better with a more diverse selection of beers. Regardless, it seemed like the perfect place to watch a game and have a few too many slices of pizza. Our waitress is what made the atmosphere the go from a 7 to a 9.3. She was kind and very sweet. She explained the menu to us and was patient with us. Everything came out perfectly and she seemed very happy to have us and be there. Everyone in the family made comments about how great she was. Whoever served my family in far back left booth on Saturday, 12/20/25 deserves some recognition. Likelihood of Return 9.5/10 This is where I will be coming for pizza from now on. Maybe it will just be takeout because the beer selection could be improved, but the dine in experience was phenomenal. The establishment has a great vibe to it and our waitress went above and beyond, Thanks so much, George Clydesdale

This was my very first Chicago deep-dish pizza experience, and now I understand why everyone talks about it. The buttery crust, layers of cheese, flavorful sauce, and generous toppings made every bite worth the wait. One thing I would definitely recommend is making a reservation if you can. This place is popular for a reason! We waited a little over 35 minutes for a table, but luckily a couple of spots opened up at the bar, and we grabbed them right away. The atmosphere was lively, the staff was friendly, and the pizza was everything I hoped it would be.

I make better salads and dressings! We ordered a large pan pizza which was overly salty with burnt crust edges. The cheese and tomato sauce were really good, but the saltiness killed it for me. The place was packed and very noisy. Not sure if it was quieter on the second floor. When you have lots of customers, it's important to have a system of checking the status of the restrooms very often. They were quite neglected. We often have out-of-town and foreign guests to host and show off our city to. We always include a deep dish pizza meal for their experience, and usually at Lou Malnati's. Always a great experience, especially the branch in downtown Naperville- consistently good. And Lou's really makes the best salad than anywhere! Sometimes for a potluck contribution I just pick up a Lou's salad, guaranteed to make everyone happy. However, our guests enjoyed the pizza and dessert; thus, I can give 3 stars for our experience at Pequod's.

After another summer of eating the delightful pizzas at this rolling oven cart, I have to update…read morethe level of superlative in my last review. This isn't JUST the best hot food at the farmers market, it's probably the best pizza in the city of Chicago -- better than Coalfire, better than Spacca Napoli, better than Piece, better than the deep-dish places too, just for good measure. I won't say that it is the only reason we drag ourselves out of bed on Saturday mornings to hike two miles to the farmers market, but it is the biggest reason. It's worth the line, worth the wait, worth arriving early. And they do have a knack for odd but excellent combinations -- this morning was corn and jalapano and ham and egg, which my wife liked even though she doesn't like breakfast pizzas; another classic has been peach and pepperoni, which I liked even though I don't like fruit anywhere near my savory foods. These people know what they are doing, and what they are doing is making painfully amazing pizza.

Had many pizzas this summer, with many wonderful fresh and delicious toppings. I always try something out of the ordinary and have yet to be let down. Sweet summer peaches, fresh spicy chili peppers, salty cured ham? Heck yeah. Black and white pizza? I think it's entered my dreams. You'll likely have to wait if you're getting it at the market. But, unlike many disappointing food queues in this city, you will not be left wanting.

(Kari's Rating 9.25/10)…read more I have been to this restaurant, probably four or five times on dates, with friends and with my parents. It is absolutely worth it every single time. We came in around 7 o'clock on a rainy Wednesday evening. I didn't expect it to be crowded, but I was surprised that I got a text saying our table was ready at 6:50. Once seated, we ordered an apple spritz and an amaretto sour. I know amaretto hours are relatively standard, but this one comes in a pretty large 16 ounce water glass! It was enough where my friend and I had to split and it was absolutely delicious. The waiter then came back to drop off some bread and water, and then quickly came back for us to place our order. We both are feeling pasta cause it was a little rainy out and we ordered the Fusilli alla Topo Gigio and I had wanted the Conchiglie alla Sarda, but I think I got the noodles, confused and accidentally ordered the Garganelli con le Luganighe. I had the fusilli before and the velvety sauce coats the noodle shape perfectly. I would've preferred the Conchiglie, but the Garganelli sufficed. It was a little bit oily, and I don't care for the noodle shape, but that was totally my fault. Overall, it was a very delicious dinner. I just wish I had not messed up the pasta names haha! The service was pretty quick as we stayed for about an hour. I would definitely come back and also living relatively close, this is usually my go to Italian place for both authenticity as well as convenience.
