Had a tuna on rye and my mom had liverwurst on rye..... bread was very soft. Service was very good as well. Toojays in Boca is still awesome but the one in Stuart is still very good too!!! TooJays has been the spot to go in my family for years, i absolutely love this place!! fresh salads and the meat is amazing. My boyfriend and i go here at least once a week and love every sever, our favorite is Christina, she's so great and always so kind so we always try to ask for her. food came out at such a good timing as well. Went for lunch. I had a Cobb salad, my kid had one of the Chicken sandwiches. Both were excellent. Place was clean and they kept my drink full. Desserts were wonderful. Not much else to say! Whether you live around here or visiting, this is a good pick. read more

As TooJay's goes, I like this one the best. It has deli atmosphere. I personally don't think any of the locations is what I think is a top notch deli, but I grew up in the Northeast, so maybe I'm spoiled. I gave it a two because the food is average. I do love the bread though. I like that you can hand in a carry out order while dining. So I usually get something like bagels and lox for the next morning if I'm there for dinner. This is my second review of TooJay's on N. Federal Hwy. in the past week. In my first review I was critical of a few things but they've been addressed. Their coleslaw is now delicious and their latkes were cooked to perfection. Their matzo ball soup is still excellent and their corned beef on rye is still the best I've ever had and that includes myriad NY delis I've been to over the past 45 years. All they need to make it perfect is kosher half-sour green pickles like the ones one finds in a traditional NY Jewish deli. I'll be making TooJay's into a regular haunt from now on! read more

I am done with Too Jay's. The service is horrible at the Stuart location and also the Palm Beach Gardens location. The Juno Beach location is MUCH better. The food is consistent but the service is just bad. I have done dine in and take out and they are always slow. An hour lunch easily becomes 90 minutes simply because they are slow. read more

Took the wife and friends yesterday, 1:30, and was served the worst pastrami on rye I've ever eaten. Wife would not let me send them back to kitchen. My husband and I wanted to have deli sandwiches for dinner. We thought the best place to get a good deli meat would be TooJay's. We purchased a pound of brisket at $20 per pound at the TooJay's near our home in Stuart. We couldn't be MORE DISAPPOINTED. We expected "real" deli meat. Instead we got what looked like processed meat that clearly did not taste "homemade" as they advertise. IT WAS FLAVORLESS, IT HAD NO RESEMBLANCE TO REAL BRISKET. Dropped in for take out order after long day at work.. Stuart Location. Gentleman behind counter was very pleasant recommending to me his too favs. Hot pastrami and a turkey avacado wrap. What he did not do was to check my order when bagging up. My TooJay's was not a gormet sandwich. I paid over 22.00 for both. When I arrives home I had a cold pastrami sandwich on cold dry rye bread. Very disappointing. The wrap however was good. I can get better less expensive at Publix deli. We will not go back. read more

Now I understand everyone has bad days, but when you are in the service industry... You kind need to put on a brave face otherwise people notice. For example: We sat down and the waitress came over and we said hello. No response just "what would you like to drink?" So we told her and it just so happens that we were ready to order as well. Instead of taking or order the waitress said she would prefer to put our drink order in and come back. Ok... Kinda rude but whatever. When she came back she didn't say anything just set our drinks down and stood there. Didn't make eye contact, didn't say anything, just waited for us to speak. Ok... Maybe we offended her or something so we were really nice. Still not even a smile. She left. Food came and we didn't see her again until she brought our check. No refills on coffee or tea. Trying to be fair here. My wife and I went to other TooJays locations and they got 5 stars. We got seated right away. Wait staff was professional, courteous and personable. My wife ordered half deli turkey sandwich and matza ball soup which she enjoyed. I ordered a bowl of pea soup and whole corned beef on brioche bun. The pea soup was room temp and was more of a puree than soup. It had a smoky flavor and a bad aftertaste. The corned beef was also tepid and was delivered to the table unmelted. The brioche bun was not my first choice but they dont offer a bulky roll. The coleslaw was very good and the highlight of the meal. I was expecting a healthy size portion but brioche buns are the size of slider buns. $45 with 20% tip is expensive to leave still hungry. This wasnt a good value so we wont be back but other customers seemed happy with their meals. Sorry Stuart, Boca Raton's deli is miles ahead of you. read more

So disappointed in dinner and service. Waiter was inattentive brought my friends soup which she finished while I waited for my meal. Waved at him repeatedly, when he finally came over said "Oh, that should be coming right up. " Another 5 minutes before he set down the plate of reheated fries and fish, another 5 minutes and coleslaw and pickle arrived. Then he disappeared again, had to ask for check, wave some more. My husband and I had dinner last evening at Toojays. We had often dined there and enjoyed what we had. Last night I had a disappointing dish however. Presentation of an item should not take precedence over taste. I think this is the case with the Turkey Reuben. It looks just like the pic in the menu. The big 'roll' of turkey was so dry. There was little or no sauce of any type and there was the resemblance of a slice of Swiss cheese, lots of sauerkraut near the bottom of the 'roll of turkey'. I asked the waiter about it and he came back with a small plastic container of Russian dressing and plunked it on the table. I decided to take the half I had not touched home and today 're'-did the reuben which was 'messy' but delicious because the dry turkey had some help. I will certainly never order a turkey reuben again at Toojays. read more

The food here was pretty good and reasonably priced. The service here is below par. My waitress, She didn't give us her name but she was an older lady with a long ponytail. She kept touching my back and resting her hand there which made me incredibly uncomfortable. She should not be touching customers. It took forever for our food. Probably because when we were looking for our waitress we spotted her sitting a few tables away talking to her friends. Really don't think I should wait 30 minutes for a deli sandwich. Went here on a recommendation. Ordered pastrami on rye. In a Jewish type deli I figured it would be great! It wasn't. I was told the rye bread would be thick, soft and tasty. It was thin, hard around the edges and tasteless. Maybe they ran out of the bread they normally serve? The pastrami, sorry to say, was dry, lots of it, but dry and cut too thick for my taste. I also tried the potato knish which could have been hotter but was great. Got two more to go. Service could have improved the overall experience but it was simply ok. No drink re-fills were offered but to be fair we didn't ask. Haven't been back yet but I probably will. Too many 5 star reviews not to try again. read more

Food is good, and sweets awesome. Service is just average. This is my second visit to a Toojays chain, separate locations, and both did not have great service. When I asked what the soup of the day was, I was told one. There was actually 3 and after hearing another waitress tell her customers all, I needed to change my order. The waitress was friendly however brought my bill before I finished eating, did not ask if I would like dessert (and I would have ordered some ) and failed to clear my dirty dishes. When I was presented my credit card bill back for signature, someone else's bill was attached. (This happened at both Too-Jays chains -Vero and Stuart, Florida ) read more
