I have been going to Too Jays ever since it opened. Not sure if it's been sold or what, but for the second time the taste and quality of their food is not the Too Jays I know. Their chicken noodle soup is lucky if you can find any chicken in it...no exaggeration. The chopped chicken liver taste like they put almond flavor in there and the rugelach pastries were basically tasteless. I couldnt believe it they were always my fave ! Ordered delivery twice during our stay in Stuart, and both times the food was great. Pastrami was perfect there, and loved their Latkes and Knishes. Delivery was quick and efficient and order notes were followed to the tee. read more

My husband got the pastrami sandwich on rye and loved it! I ordered roast beef on chibatta. I was shocked that that is all it was. I had to request mayo and mustard on the side. The french fries were nothing to write home about, steak fries are always mushy on the inside. Yet it doesn't stipulate on the menu what type of fries they serve. I had to remove half of the roast beef from half of my sandwich; their was no way for me to disconnect my jaw to eat it! I don't know how anyone can open their mouth that large! I'm going to be eating roast beef for the next few days! I also thought it was expensive. Two sandwiches and two sodas = $39 then tip on top of that. I know we'll be back because my husband liked it. Order Meat Loaf and garden salad. The salad was disappointing. Didn't have Iceberg Lattice, it had Romaine which was overflowing over the dish. The Meatloaf was old and burned on the edges and had no taste. I sent it back and they gave me a Pastrami sandwich which was so skimpy with the meat it was pathetic. I have enjoyed going to TooJays For a number of years. Unfortunately over the last two and once again I guess you could blame it on COVID-19, in ordering takeout no one seems to take the time to ensure that the order is indeed correct. Most recently I ordered and found two items missing. Very frustrating especially when you have company over and everyone is extremely hungry. So stop what you do hop in the car drive back to 2J's walk in and you get an apology "oh I'm so sorry for the inconvenience". 15 minutes down 15 minutes back 30 seconds of an apology. While I Will continue to go to 2J's for the in service I will no longer be ordering anything for takeout. And I'm fortunate situation being that we're down there quite a bit, guess we'll just have to our dinner takeout from other restaurants. Call it an inept staff - that is why I'm only giving them a three stars. read more

I met my friend for lunch and we were greeted in a timely manner (guess 1:00 is a good time to go). Our server was Monica, who, was wonderful. She made sure we were taken care of. My friend ordered the fish n chips and I ordered the 3 salads: tuna, egg & shrimp, which was extra $. Her meal was delicious and mine not so much. There was something off about the shrimp salad so I requested it be was replaced with the original chicken salad. I hate to write bad reviews and I really like the Jupiter location, but this location today was a mess. We ordered after waiting too long then 40 minutes passed with no food. We gave it 10 more minutes but had to leave. Our waitress told us the manager had walked out middle of shift and that the kitchen was backed up. I wrote a review in 2022. I've returned a couple of times since for breakfast, which seems to be what they can do right since they have to cook it fresh. I went last night for an early dinner after seeing a movie. I ordered half of a brisket sandwich and a cup of chicken noodle soup. The soup was lukewarm, and did not taste fresh; especially the noodles, that were dried out. Not surprising, because this place was not busy, so who knows how old the soup was. I drank water because I was thirsty, and it was hot outside. Server was annoyed giving me refills. When she brought out the sandwich, I politely asked her for a refill on the water. She walked away without saying a word, got napkins to give patrons at another table, then was walking by me, so I nicely asked if she'd like my glass for the water refill, and she sternly said, not yet I have to watch the front door. No one was there waiting to be seated so I said well, you just brought my food and I'd like the refill. She grabbed my glass brought the water and put it down without a word. I thanked her then advised her that I used to own a restaurant and she would be let go on the spot with that attitude, and that its not the customer's problem that she has to watch the front door. She changed her tune from then on; especially when another server came over and apologized for her. I told that nice server, Susan, that I appreciated it, but that I guess I won't be coming back. I paid cash and reflected my disappointment in the tip I left. Afterall, tip means to insure proper service. Attitude is part of the service. Because I owned a restaurant, I've been tipping 20-25% for years! Not last night. It's the only way a server can reflect and think about what they need to do to improve their tips. I've gone to the Too Jays in West Palm, which is phenomenal. Same in Orlando. This location used to be awesome. I don't know how it's still in business. read more

Excellent Reuben sandwich. Ok greek salad, but you're at a Jewish deli so you shouldn't be ordering that. The place is mobbed and everyone seems to be happy. Had a wonderful meal while visiting famIly in Jensen Beach two days ago. The service there was exceptional as was the food. The have awesome sandwiches as well as deserts and did I mention the great service! I had a Ruben my wife had the grilled cheese Ruben. Both were great and very big sandwiches. The dessert was even better, I had the banana cream cake, my sister had the carrot cake and my wife the rice pudding. All were fantastic. We really enjoyed the food and the great service. 2nd chance Just picked up our order. Been a long time customer and the food quality and portions have gone downhill. We picked up our order in 15 minutes as we were told that it would be ready the food was cold to the point my order was clearly not microwaved long enough. One of the other dinners we got was like a side order was (shepherds Pie ) this was the 2nd time consecutively we have had the same experience. If this place existed in NYC they wouldn't get a second chance from me -- there's way better deli food around (hello, Katz's and Second Avenue Deli!). But alas, it's all I've got here in FL, so I'll take it. I got a Reuben -- quickly made and friendly service. It was an ok sandwich, but nothing crazy-good. They gave us a Cobb salad instead of a chopped salad (the receipt clearly says chopped), the beef brisket dip was chewy and the bread was soggy before even dipping and they forgot the horseradish sauce as well. I had been to Too Jay's in Stuart before and thought iit was an OK but not great deli. But I went there today and I have nothing but negatives to say. The matzoh ball soup was almost tasteless suggesting that it had not been slow cooked but rather flashed through a heater to get it out. My corned beef sandwich was relatively small for the price, and most delis would give you twice the amount of meat. And the meat quality was low and lacking in that tanginess that should be in well prepared corned beef. It was not Jewish corned beef but rather a pressed down version appropriate for diners from Kansas who want it covered with mayo: sanctimony. read more
