I really like to enjoy Topgolf while I'm there. You offer mediocre service when it comes to drinks. I have good service sometimes and poor service sometimes it's inconsistent. I am not a cheap tipper I promise I tip at least 15-20% or more if the service is amazing. My visit on 12/30/2018, was sub par. I hate having to ask for refills a lot. I had a coke and asked for refills several times and several times watched my server walk right by and I asked more times for refills. You're serving food and drinks. Come on it's still important to take care of the people in your section if you want to make good tips. Once again the food was good we enjoyed the brisket hash I recommend for anyone. Great concept. Glad that they made their way into the Jacksonville market. However, there are a few things they need to fix if they want to last. Front door and check in staff is great. Bubbly, happy and helpful. They obviously went through a great deal of attentive training. Bar staff and servers are the black sheep of this Top Golf family. When they first open I loved it so much that the boyfriend and I went once a week. Now, if we think about going, we would talk ourselves out of it purely because of the room temperature mindset service we're going to get. Our drinks and water would be empty for a while until we can order another one or even filled up. They happiest and most helpful these wait staff are is when handling us our checks. Pretty cool place. We got there around 5pm on a Saturday, and there was about an hour wait for a bay, but there were cool bars with good drinks. I like the fire pits on the top floor bar area, and I'm sure it's a hopping night spot. I liked the Pickle fries, and chips and salsa, but the nachos, were gross to me because they slather some kind of bean paste on them, and I'm not a bean eater(well not the Mexican kind anyway) for the fans of bean dip you'd probably like them. But they left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't see myself returning on a weekend evening anytime soon. Maybe a Monday or Tuesday would be less crowded. If I were actually a golfer, I'd probably give it 5 stars for the cool golf factor, but I'm not, so it gets less due to gross nachos. read more

A lively place on a Saturday night in Jacksonville. A fun new strop in Jacksonville. Very lively and busy on Saturday nights. If you want quick prompt service, it's best to visit on a different night. I have been to several top golfs before and this is very similar. It's always best to go to the bar to wait for your bay to open. However, the far tenders seem to struggle on mixing drinks here. The proportions are never accurate and drinks are always off. One annoyance is we received a text that our bay was almost ready and to reply if we were still interested. We said we were. We had to wait an additional 40 mins after that text. I feel the text was premature. The top gold experience is quite similar to anyone in the country if you have been. Night prices are a little on the high side. We were in the middle of closing out or tabs at the bay and the new people arrived to our table. A little confusion on the staff but we felt rushed at the end even though we weren't done cashing out. They also removed the macaroni and cheese egg rolls from the menu. That was a bummer. If you're looking for something new to do in Jacksonville on the weekends give top golf a try. read more

O I finally brought my son out to TopGolf. It was also my little Sis' birthday. I reserved a bay online for Friday morning @ 9am. We arrived right on time and were greeted immediately upon walking in. The guy at the counter had no issue getting us set up and sent us to our bay. It was opening time, so we really had prime choice. We went with center, 3rd floor. There was an attendant there at the bay who helped us get set up and explained how it all works. The waiter also promptly came over to show us the menu. My son had a Drs appointment later that morning, so we passed on food though it all looks pretty good. We just stuck with waters which the waiter kept full for our 2 hour stay. It was a bit warm out as well. I also want to give bonus points for the hand sanitizer stations at every doorway. Each bay is roomy enough for your party up to 6. With nice little hooks and nooks for your things (golf bags, purses, jackets...) In two hours we were able to get in 3 games/ challenges. It was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to doing it again. It is a very cool way to spend a few hours having fun. I imagine it would be great to come later at night and have some food and drinks adult style. I like that it can be done both ways, adult or family style. The staff is also great and attentive which is always a plus. They bring out the total check just before your time runs out so you pay for everything at the end. My wife and I just left TopGolf. We stopped on our way home to Charlotte, North Carolina just to check out the facility and restaurant. We were greeted by the staff who was ready to check us in to play. We informed them we were just there to look around. After five minutes of just looking around, I was convince the I had to give the place a shot. So we signed up to play for an hour... The $45/hour price tag kind of scared me as I haven't played golf in a year, but the staff was low pressure and assured me I would have spent my time well. So I signed up and went through the whole welcome process. Our game concierge/hostess was great in explaining every detail of how the facility works and what our many game options were for the hour. Our bay server Megan was prompt and very attentive even with her other bays she was serving. Our food we ordered was spectacularly good..I took most of it with me because I wanted to keep playing as I was having more fun than I expected to have. It was an enjoyable experience and was exactly what I read about in past reviews of TopGolf from other facilities. If we didn't have to finish our 8 hour drive home, I would have played for another hour. We love TopGolf!! Recently they are running a promotion where you can make a reservation for 2 hours for $99! (Prices vary based on days/times). This place is really family friendly, and the food is fantastic! They also have great food for Sunday brunch- and mimosas (my fave!) Bays hold up to 6 people, I've never had an issue with parking, and although its a little pricey, they do run specials! There are tons of bays, but I would still recommend making a reservation if you can. The only issue with the online 2 hour reservations are if you want to extend your time, you sometimes have to move bays which is not ideal. Im not sure I've ever had a bad meal here. The flatbreads are great, the burgers are great, tater tots are a fave, macaroni bites are delish, and you must try the injectable donuts!! They recently added an outdoor putting green, it never seems very busy though, maybe due to the cold? The service is really great, the people are nice, friendly, and there isn't ever a shortage of staff, and compared to other places I've been like this (i.e. DriveTime), there aren't many errors with scoring. topgolf is a must!! read more

I liked almost all the food this time: the Impossible Burger, the smores jar dessert, the cauliflower pizza, the signature nachos, and the spinach quesadilla. I've tasted better tater tots, however. The Impossible Burger was indeed the best non-meat burger I've ever tried: I thought it was like a good real burger. The place is far louder than I'd like. This was our second time going to a Top Golf! Our first time was in Texas, so when we found out there was one in Jacksonville we definitely planned on going. We got the first floor which was good but we prefer the third floor. Kids always have a great time hitting the golf ball. The wait time was over an hour but luckily there is a kid area with an xbox 360 and fosball table. The wait time went by fast because we were entertained. We ordered the chicken quesadillas which are good for three kids and one adult. The kids cheeseburger is small for a 10 year old. Kids loved the cookie s'mores sand which for dessert. We came as a small event for my apartment complex and we were pleasantly surprised. The food is really good- which we weren't expecting. It's like being in an actual restaurant but also golfing. The staff is accommodating and sweet. They offered to bring my service dog a bowl of water and were very respectful as well as did not try to distract him. It is clearly obvious that your staff was pushing people out because they didn't want a long wait in their lobby or the bar. Is this really how your upper management wants to handle their business model? Figure it out. Use the technology available in todays market to provide accurate wait times and give the consumer a fair estimate. Pay your workers a fair wage and quit being so cheap. Free advice, quit pushing day time golfing and drinking and start promoting deals during prime time hours that persuade customers to come back more often. Topgolf is always a great place to go with groups. I've been three times now and we've always had great service and the games are really fun! It is kind of pricey, but I think it's worth it, especially being a golfer. They also have different clubs for lefty's which you can request from the front desk or your server. They have a bunch of different games where you try and hit certain colored targets. You can also just select practice round if you're not wanting to truly keep score by player. They have other areas to just hang out if you're not wanting to actually play or if you have a wait before getting your bay assignment. I will highly recommend being on the second or third bay though as the golf balls go further if you're higher up. The food is great too! Overall, really fun experience! read more

First and last time. Service was terrible. Walked in and the girl sitting at the desk didn't acknowledge us, but the greeted the group that walked in behind us. After being told it was going to be a 3+ hour wait, we were just going to have a drink in the bar to decide where we wanted to go. Great for groups. The boys love it. We didn't order any food but hear it's really good and by the looks of it around us/smell. Yeah it is really good. You don't need to bring your own clubs or gear. We recently held a rehearsal dinner at Top Golf for 85 people. Our event coordinator was Amanda Dunn and she oversaw our complete process from planning our room layout, consultation of decorations, to food menus and being available to receive flowers and cake delivery. I was nervous because this location of Top Golf had only been open a few months, but my nervousness was misplaced. Our event was a huge success. The food was abundant and delicious. The pickled fried chicken was wonderful, as well as the brisket. We had queso dip, potstickers and a hummus tray for appetizers that was outstanding. The wait staff was so helpful and polite and helped me a every turn. After dinner, we turned out into the golf bays. Many people had never golfed, much less visited a Top Golf. By the end of the night, most everyone was playing and having a fantastic time. My brother in law stated that every rehearsal dinner should be at Top Golf! We received rave reviews from many at our event and many said they couldn't wait to visit another TG. I would not hesitate to plan another event with Ms. Dunn and her excellent staff. read more

My son and I have never played golf so why not try in a controlled environment. We had to wait for a spot to open but it was only a 30 minute wait. It's 10$ to make a reservation online so that's why I made one when I arrived for free. Also it is 5$ for a each membership card for each person playing. You can sit at the bar and eat or sit at a booth or table in the restaurant. We ordered food while we were playing and they brought it to our table outside. It was a lot more fun than we expected. The idea of top golf is great. Multiple levels for a ton of players and you don't even have to be that good to win, it's all about the fun. However, this specific top golf location is very slow sometimes. On the weekends they're usually packed but even when they're not, the servers are really slow to help you and one time it took 20-30 minutes just for someone to come ask us if we want water. My parents had never been to top golf before, so it wasn't a great first experience. Their food is pretty good though, even if it is a little bit overpriced. I haven't tried anything that I actually don't like. I had their eggs Benedict on a Sunday morning and it was tasty. read more

Great ambience with extremely disorganized food service. We waited almost 2 hours for our food, during which we had to flag down the server a few times to inquire about the unusual delay. He assured us that everything was fine. Everything was not fine. Apparently our order fell into the purgatory and the kitchen didn't begin making our food until the Team Lead showed up, that is, 1hr 30min after we placed our order. When the food finally came out, the guy delivering it walked back and forth the 3rd floor, I guess searching for a couple who looked like they had ordered mushi and a medium rare sunrise burger? A better idea would be to go by table numbers, I would think TopGolf would have figured it out by now. This was not an one off case, as we noticed many more lost souls carrying trays of food just walking around with seemingly no purpose. When the check arrived, we noticed they only charged us for the drinks, not the food. We thought, well at least they somehow made up for the unpleasant experience. Then they swiped the credit card, not against our check, but another table's. So much for trying to fix it! We ended up leaving a good tip based on the original amount consumed, and would have very much preferred to pay full price whilst having a pleasant experience. Bumping up to 3 stars because the server and team lead seemed like they were trying, the disorganization wasn't their personal fault, but likely management's. I've waited a couple of weeks to update my review at Top Golf based on a should never happen experience. I was hoping my degree of anger would subside but alas it has not. I want to point out that the management did comp our meals and drinks on the day of the bad experience but at the end of the day it should have never happened. We decided to visit on December 28th as our daughter was in town from college, it was a rainy day and she had never been to a Top Golf before. We put our name on the list for a bay with the concierge and were quoted a 1 hour 30 min approx wait. Not a big deal since we were all very hungry and planned to eat lunch first. We found a booth in the back of the restaurant and settled in. Our server Tiana (? I hope I got that right) came by a few minutes later and had our table cleaned off and drinks ordered. 25 minutes later my husband the bar and picked up our drinks as the server walked past them 3 times without grabbing them. Later he flagged down the server and she took our food order and stated that the Miss. football team rented out all of the bays and that was causing a major delay. Just a note: She was not serving the team/bay area nor was our bar. We ordered queso, chips and salsa for the appetizer, I ordered the grilled backyard wings which are dry rubbed wings. My husband ordered a burger, daughter ordered the chicken sandwich and other daughter ordered off the kids menu. Now here is where it really goes down hill. An hour after arriving at our table, we still did not have an appetizer and had not seen our server since the last visit. I sent Top Golf a message on FB messenger letting them know it had been an hour and requested a new server. They responded almost right away and said they would check the kitchen. They then said Cliff the Operations Manager was on his way to our table. (Note: We never met Cliff...we think we saw him but he did not visit our table). I immediately received the text that our bay was ready so I had to go to the concierge to let them know we were on our way. Amazingly enough they refused to take me to the bay without my entire family...who were all still at the table. I went back to the table and our queso was there along with a manager. I'm sorry I cannot remember her name but she continued with the excuses about the football team (which by the way were eating a pre-planned buffet outside at their bays within 5 minutes of their arrival...this should not have impacted our meal...they should have prepared the kitchen for that pre-planned party and other guests who by the way visit very often). We were taken up to our bay and introduced to Jessica (they bay manager) and Noura our bay server. Thank goodness for Noura. She apologized and had another order of salsa and chips delivered immediately. We started playing our game. By the way its now been almost 2 hours and we still don't have our meal. About 15 minutes later our meal was delivered. Jessica (manager) explained to me that they did not have any more of my dry rubbed wings so she just replaced them with another flavor and to let her know if I wanted something else. Ummm why not have someone run up or call up to ask me what flavor I would like. I've waited over 2 hours for a few wings and I don't get to choose a replacement? Thankfully everyone else got what they ordered and were full by the time we left approx 3 1/2 hours after we arrived. I was starving and able to stop and get something on the way home. 1. We will not take out of town or newbies here again. This is not the first time we've had a service issue but it will be the last when we ruin an out of towner or newbie's time after talking this place up so much. 2. Hopefully the management team and event planning team learned something from this visit. I hope they find a way to have a large party and still take care of their local every day not dropping thousands of dollars guests which will return if they do. read more

We had an awful experience here. Went here with 2 adults and 5 kids only 6 allowed in a bay even if one of the guest is 2 year old and 3 year old so we have to get 2 bays even when 2 of the 7 people aren't even golfing. They say for one bay one person has to be inside because of "covid" because that makes so much sense send everyone inside instead of staying with your own party. You don't even have to wear masks if they were really worried about covid they would make people stay with their own party not mix them in a room together. Stupid policies especially for 2 young children. I'm sure no one will care but we will definitely never come back. read more
