Early mornings are best. Low sun, not intense. Easy going. Food starts cooking around 11:30 maybe 11:00am. If you don't want to be tempted from purchasing food that''ll interfere with your session, steer clear of noon and definitely 12:30pm when guests flock in for their lunch break. Good quiet times are to be had if you go early in the morning. 9:30am is your best bet for a reservation on a Monday, if reserved an hour and a half prior to attending. They fill bays right to left starting with west to east on the third floor. By the time I left at 12:30pm only the third floor terrace and a portion of the second was occupied. As bays become vacant they backfill or refill the vacant bays that were previously occupied with next inline reserved guests. Efficient. The smell of developing food from the kitchen is tempting. Resist, if you can. Food and golf grips don't mix personally. Bring your own clubs if possible. You'll be hitting from astroturf and rubber raised tees. Also in the morning they have overhead heaters to keep the spectator area warm, if needed for those who don't dress warm. I personally kept with practice mode and made up my own games by hitting the ball wherever i wanted. You get the most balls if you make up and play your own games. Just playing for skill, not points. Just hit balls where you want, develop patterns and learn the terrain to see how the ball rolls. A slight slope is apparent around the large holes, all holes in general if you prefer to roll the ball in. There's ridges and slight variances if your preference is to run the ball to the hole. That's why going early is prized because the range is clear and your ball can run freely. Go early and enjoy. They also have a football end zone goalpost upright in the center of the range about 50 yards out. See picture. Tried that and that was interesting. They have an onscreen game that goes along with it. Roblox is my other favorite game, but I just kept with practice mode for this occasion. Overall a good experience, but also be aware the talkers, the help arrives around 11:30am to noon to hustle you. They become obnoxious when they crowd together with four, five and even one or two when they have nothing to do. Look! I'm wrkng. It'd be so nice to play your own music in your own bay and bring hearing protection if you prefer filtering out some of the chaotic crowd noise that sometimes presents itself. Initially two hours, extended to three. Two and a half hours should be your max, otherwise you're pushing it. Just to let you know. Grouchiness and irritability sets in. Be forewarned because the fresh ones are too eager to interrupt, interfere and bother you because they're looking for pay. Also you may have credits from past reservations that for whatever reasons you were unable to attend that was probably due to anxiety from all the people you unknowingly found out recently were getting free money that they've been seriously working on to get them caught and found out. The hammer falls with order. The scenes seen with reveal. Things to know: Stay behind the yellow line One person in the swing zone At all times. Do not test the netting by falling into it. Attending at the slow times, is the best times. Peaceful I enjoyed my experience for the most part. Good weather until the sun came out from behind the clouds. Then it got hot from standing in it constantly whereas before there was cloud cover. And furthermore... You only tip the help a percentage of the food purchased and not the cost of the entire session. Get REAL!!! Which reminds me one time I purchased a lemonade from the bar and got a solid full tasting glass to drink. Whereas the drink I ordered from the help was watered down. There maybe some type of stacking that occurs where you have to tip the WAIT, the TENDER and the they're looking at the full tally (golf included) in which they draw their perceived tip from. Just left this place due to the ridiculous parking rule for EV cars! We were walk in and there was a 90 min wait so we decided to wait in the comforts of our own car since it was also cold and crowded inside. I've been to Topgolf a few times, but I haven't really been to one for 6 years, even though I work right next to one, and I never been to this newer location, this is my first time here. I'm in Silicon Valley this Afternoon. I really like the atmosphere here. I got a Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwhich, but this time with Tater Tots. I really like and appreciate Tater Tots. It looks unreal. The Fried Chicken Sandwhich came out scorching hot. The Tots were out of this world, extra Crunchy, and the dipping Sauce was somewhat smoky. I give this 4.3 stars. OMG, I'm amazed by the quality of food at Top Golf. In my opinion, it's a bit expensive to play as well as to eat. Not to mention that their portion size is a bit small. Aside from that, it's worth the experience. My boyfriend and I had 3 drinks each, and 4 different dishes. We ordered these items: Steak Nachos: (10/5) : These are so worth it !! I love that each chip had their own topping and they were so crunchy. The style wasn't like the traditional nachos where the chips are piled up and the ones at the very bottom don't have any cheese or toppings. Watched this Top Golf location come up during the pandemic as I was living nearby the Guadalupe River trail. Always wanted to experience since then. The stars finally aligned! This is a huge venue with three floors covering around 110 all weather bays. There is ample seating area inside with bars, board games and beer garden style long benches. We were 5 of us and booked the appointment initially for 2 hours. We ended up extending further by 30 min to finish the ongoing game. We were all amateurs in playing golf ranging from played a couple of times to never. Block Party game was a fun warm up before moving into the popular Angry Birds. We finished off with the Fan Favorite game which was a step up as it counted the misfiring shots as well. In the future, I wish Top Golf integrates Augmented Reality glasses/headsets like Vision Pro into the experience especially for games such as Angry Birds. Coming to the food/drinks, the menu has a decent selection of beer/margaritas, appetizers and handheld flatbreads/burgers. I enjoyed the Buttermilk Fried Chicken sandwich with Tater Tots. I've been here a few times and usually love it, but last Saturday was really disappointing. We came for a couples' date night, ordered food, two pitchers of beer, and a cocktail. When we tried to order another round, our waitress told us about a "2 drinks per person per hour" policy I'd never heard before. The confusing part: there were 6 of us (so technically 12 drinks allowed). We only had 2 pitchers (6-8 beers depending on what employee you ask) plus my cocktail. That's still under the limit. Yet the waitress followed the guys to the bar, loudly told them they couldn't order, and embarrassed them in front of everyone. Another staff member then threatened to kick us out if we tried to order at the bar again! Only to later admit the policy was more of a "control measure" and eventually brought us another pitcher. Came to Topgolf today with friends for the first time. We reserved 2 bays and had an overall enjoyable experience. Pros: Both bays were clean and we had enough seating for 5 people in each bay. They had screens that displays your shot and scores like how bowling alleys would which was pretty cool. They provide golf clubs. If you're a lefty like me, they will bring out a separate set of golf clubs for you. Service was also friendly. Drinks were made okay per my friends. I already ate prior to coming so I just got water. Cons: The experience was on the pricey side although I know they also have half off on Tuesdays but we came on a Sunday. Some of the golf club handles were literally falling off from wear and tear so maintenance can improve in that aspect. We noticed that some of us lost some points because the shots weren't registering correctly at times which was a bummer. First time trying Topgolf. Facility is huge and very sporty. Book a reservation ahead of time and when you arrive you'll be assigned an area. Came with a group of six and there was plenty of space. Had an area with a couch. Couch seats about five so there was always one person standing, usually the one hitting balls so we all rotated. I've never been a fan of golf, but this is actually pretty fun to do with friends. Favorite game mode was the one where everything counts as points. Waitress comes around so you can order food and drinks . My friend ordered one of the cocktails, but they didn't have it. We also ordered one of the golf bag shareable cocktails and they didn't have any bag cups available for a while. The drink itself was decent. Colorful tasty, but not mind blowing. Two things I wasn't particularly a fan of related to closing out the bill. 1) The whole bill will include your first time registration fees, cost to reserve the space, and your food and drinks. I think the food and drinks need to be separate from the reservation and registration fees registration fees and a booking reservation shouldn't be factored into the tip. The service from the waitress and ordering food and beverage should. For example, If you order $50 of food and beverage and your registration fees and reservation are $200, should you tip on $50 or $250? 2) The bill had, printed on it,a recommendation for patrons to tip 20 to 25%. This was then circled with a pen. I'm all for quality gratuity and almost always tip 20% minimum, but I don't want to feel like I'm pressured to tip 25%. That's a bit wild. So many games that enhance your golfing experience-- we were particularly amused by their new Sonic game that made 0 sense in terms of points LOL. My favorite was probably their Angry Birds one! Our server was super attentive, periodically checking in on us. And giving us a 10 mins heads up before the end of our session. 2 hours flew by so fast! Super beginner friendly. This is my first time coming here in the morning, and highly recommend! Was not aware that they served brunch, but was pleasantly surprised! Although the brunch menu was limited, everything was really good! They also do offer a mimosa deal where they provide you with just a whole bottle of champagne and different juices so you can most certainly have several mimosa servings. I won a raffle prize for a discount for top golf. This is the closest Top Golf to me I live in San Francisco. I looked online at the policies and it said on the website that it is family friendly. When we got there we had to put our name on the waitlist it was about an hour wait. We went to the park across the street with my nephew. When the front desk guy put my name on the waitlist he asked for my number and sent me a text when we could go and have our spot. Julessa was amazing she took our food order when we were ready. We ordered nonalcoholic beer, chicken tenders, chips, guacamole and salsa as well as Mac and cheese bites. All was amazing the sauces with the Mac and cheese bites were so good! When we got to the spot where we were Julessa explained what we do on the monitor and got my nephew kid size clubs! My nephew got upset and slammed the club down and it tore his skin open in his palm. My sister asked for a bandaid and Julessa checked on my nephew after a few minutes. We all had so much fun! I visited Topgolf on a Monday night around 9:30 PM and had one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by an incredible front desk host--her name started with a "J" and she was Asian (I wish I could remember her full name!). She was hands-down the kindest and friendliest person I've ever encountered at any business. Not only did she warmly welcome us, but she also gave us a very accurate estimate on the wait time and made sure we were checking our phones for the text when our bay was ready. Her energy was amazing--so attentive, cheerful, and genuinely kind. Even my kids were totally charmed by her--they kept telling her she was "the best," and I couldn't agree more. Checking in was a bit confusing as I didn't realize we pay for registration, new player fees, and food and drinks after we played. Service wasn't great as we got there early and sat down at the bar to order food before our bay was open. We waited 15 minutes but no one came to serve us and there were 5 workers just talking amongst themselves in the back. We ended up ordering chips and guac when we sat down at our bay and the portion was pretty big for the four of us. I think in this game the more terrible you are the better score you get as it counts the number of times your ball bounces in the field regardless of how far or close your ball flies. Angry Bird was a little more challenging but still fun. We did not order much as we were anticipating a very heavy lunch. We only got tater tots, it was good as expected... crunchy on the outside, little soft on the inside, not salty. I did noticed that when the server placed it on our table, the tiny basket did not have a paper or cover so it feels like I was eating directly from the table. I was pretty disappointed with my experience here in this day particularly. When we checked in we were told a table number and to go there and wait. So we did, however we waited about 10 minutes but we didn't receive any text or notification to start. So we asked a staff and they were confused and didn't know so two more people came and we ended up having to go back down and redo everything again. After everything we started playing. We put in an order for drinks. One of the drink came out wrong. After that was corrected we didnt have anyone come in to check on us or take any other order. I hate being a "Karen" but my fam (3) waited 1hr til we saw any service at the bar (30 min waiting at the table, another 30 min or so waiting at the bar til we got service). Luckily there so happen to be a Sonic game that was easy to figure out and dominant in. He and I had a blast. I held a team building event with TopGolf. The planning was pretty straightforward. The sales manager whom I worked with was really nice and responsive. She even came by to our bays to say hello on the day of. Our team building host was super nice and flexible. Our original contract was to play the TopRelay and freeplay thereafter. But we had a little bit of a later start with hungry arrivals, and so they were kind enough to rearrange our games to let us leisurely get some swings in, eat, and had our Team Building game after. The team building took about an hour and 20 minutes. Minus a few points because for a variety of reasons: It wasn't conveyed to me to arrive early for check-in until the night before (even though I had asked for the run down of how things should go, well in advance). Although I had arrived early anyway, I was told to go back downstairs and wait for the majority of my party to arrive, and we weren't escorted to our bays until it was our contracted times. The inconsistent instructions were confusing. Food portions are SMALL. We had the Smokehouse BBQ, which comprised of several side items, and enhanced our meal with the Fried Chicken and Dessert Trio. The buffet style display of the food was nice to look at, but the system didnt work out for my party. The salad and brisket went out quickly because the chicken (both grilled and fried) was dry. The Mac n Cheese was kind of bland. I suppose, shame on my team members who grabbed more brisket than they should've; they couldn't gauge the portion sizes. If the portions were this small, it may have been better to have boxed each individual portion. The desserts were pretty good and weren't too sweet. The TopRelay Race was super fun to play, but I think the talk/coaching bits about teamwork, culture, etc. was not conveyed well. Perhaps our group was too much for our coach to handle alone. I was asked/delegated to help go to EACH Bay to initiate a few team-building topics. She did go to each bay during the games to help facilitate the game play, but I was later told one bay had more attention and help than neighboring bays. It would benefit the coach to consider getting a megaphone to speak over a few bays. For me, who was the event planner, felt under prepared. From arrival to getting our attendees to situated in the Bays, I wished I had more knowledge conveyed in advance to help facilitate the event. I was quite disappointed in the team building workshop; the "Lesson on culture, change, collaboration, strategy and strengths of team members" wasn't consistently conveyed from bay to bay.
