I finally made it to Top Golf for the first time for a post holiday party with my coworkers. Coincidentally it was on one of the coldest days of the year. Luckily Top Golf has climate controlled lanes with heaters on each lane. WWe were toasty while sitting and golfing. We wished we would have gotten a premium lane which has more seating which our server said doesn't cost extra but is an option you can ask for. The food was delicious with the Pretzel Charcuterie being the best idea ever. Having an activity our team could do together really made this better than just having dinner together. It was a fun team building idea and I will definitely be back, and I'm not a golfer. To my surprise, I had the highest score of my group. I love that you u don't have to be a pro to golf and the targets are huge holes in the ground which gives you points depending on where the ball lands. COVID protective measures were on point. I watched all of the clubs being sanitized after people departed their bays. No more than 6 to a bay. Plastic suspended from the ceiling in between the bays. No hard copy menus. They are accessed via your phone. Masks required in the common areas. My salad was delicious and the avocado was perfect. Sometimes they're either too firm or not firm enough. I thought it would be uncomfortable hitting a golf ball so close to the edge but it turned out to be just fine. We had a great time socializing, having a few mixed drinks, eating some food, and just enjoying the afternoon. We also sprayed some golf balls around the range in random directions and distances! This go-to of golfing and gaming is host to numerous activities, foods, and libations to hydrate even the most finicky imbiber. Prepare to have more choices than your happy-hour brain cares to make here. 1st, let's discuss the elephant in the room: golf. 25/35/45 are the price points per hour, and it gets pricier throughout the day. You can have 6 playing per station, so average cost $7.50/hr peak not too bad. And the games/range are fun/forgiving (yes, you get good rolls & bounces!). There's a game room on the 1st floor hosting foosball and pool tables, and an area to host a birthday party. This is also entrance to the 1st floor golfing bays (Top Golf has 3 levels of these). The 2nd floor has a massive, full-service bar and restaurant where you can find staff dancing to tunes to liven the mood and your spirit. The 3rd floor has yet another, smaller full-service bar, courtyard area, and additional areas to rent out for private or corporate parties. We went there with family yesterday and had a wonderful time. The choices of game play were fabulous - of course, my favorite was Angry Birds. The best part was getting to hang out and talk and laugh with family while playing, eating, and drinking. The food was surprisingly yummy. We chose the 6 for $55 which we think was a great deal for 5 adults and 2 children. Our choices included wings, flatbread, chips & salsa/guacamole, and chicken tenders. Our waitress was wonderfully sweet, but not really great on keeping drinks (sodas and waters) refilled. Overall, we had a great time and this was really fun to do with family/friends. We have been here several times as we enjoy it. However, the event food is terrible. We thought that the company hosting the event cheaped out and bought terrible food and did it themselves...when we found out that they paid to host the event here and that the food we had came from them I was floored. We have always really enjoyed the food and drinks here, so I was shocked that they provided hamburger patties that were LITERALLY the size of breakfast sausage patties to a paid work event. I had never seen a hamburger patty that size before then. His employer booked the same topgolf for an event this year, and it was better but still very sub-par. The woman who did all the planning said she had to fight with them to get food that wasn't those nasty dry tiny patties....very sad. We all know how expensive this place is, and I am sure his company paid a hefty price to host the event here but still, just like so many subpar places that care only about the money and not about the people, they didn't care. We had stacks of dirty glasses next to a self serve water jug next to the food without any space. It was such a mess. The bathrooms and couches were absolutely disgusting as were the outside fans. Average quality, average food, overpriced. My husband made reservation for 5-7pm on a Sunday. We signed in early, and it wasn't crowded, but he was told to wait for a text to enter our assigned bay. At 5:10pm I asked if he was still waiting. He hadn't heard anything, and asked employees what the problem was. Employees weren't busy with other customers. Finally at 5:20/5:25, our group was signed in ready to golf. Time was automatically stopped at 7pm, but he was expected to pay full price....I suggest eating prior to arrival or in restaurant before or after renting the bay- it wastes more time and distracts. Overall, I don't plan on returning. My family enjoyed the experience, but I expect better. If you make a reservation, stand and wait to be escorted on time to your bay- refuse texting- you might be forgotten. read more

I just got kicked out. It's unfortunate because I previously had rave reviews so it's disappointing and embarrassing to get kicked out of an establishment minutes after arriving. Another party approached me and told me that her boyfriend was looking at me and it was making her upset. I didnt respond to her because I thought it was odd. The staff later came to me and told me that another party felt that my dress was too short. I'm attaching a photo of me tonight for reference. I was told that I was flashing guests. I always bent down in a squatting manner to get my ball. I never bent over and flashed anyone. Super cool place to come have a drink or just play golf and hang out with your friends This establishment is fairly new, so everything is clean and the staff is great everyone is on this episode working hard aiming to please. The cocktails are great perfectly price, the food is typical barfood nothing special. The food is a little overpriced and the portions are small. I didn't like the chicken sandwich they return it and exchange it for me with no hassle. My server was awesome super attentive even though she had a few bays to tend to. Been to Top Golf 4 times in the last month. Each time, I join the wait-list and have to wait more than one hour for a bay during the week. The Tampa location doesn't appear to have enough staff to open the bays. The entire first floor and half of the 2nd floor is empty. Arrived at 6:30PM and still waiting at 7:45. Really discouraging to sign up ahead of time via app then still have to wait. Doesn't make good business sense. Afraid to even go to the bar in case I lose my place. read more

I came with friends of my husbands not expecting to have fun, boy was I wrong. I had a great time, I did not hit like many there but had fun trying all of the clubs and even hitting a few good shots. It was a Saturday night so was glad we had reservations. The music is a bit loud and the fans could have been on but overall it was comfortable. I am not sure I would enjoy being here in the summer. So much fun! I was in Tampa for a long weekend, we don't have any Topgolfs where I live so I was excited to try it out. The set up its really cool, kind of like a bowling alley but instead of bowling lanes, you have driving terminals. Lots of different clubs to choose from. Instructions were very clear and easy and it was super cool how the screen showed you all kinds of information after you hit the ball. Staff was super friendly and nice. They even gave us an addition 15 minutes of free play since it took a bit longer for our drinks to come and they didn't want to rush us. It is a bit pricey! But its definitely a fun time so you can overlook that. read more

Our whole group is 18 but since he is 17 he cant PLAY GOLF! I didn't know that playing golf underage was an offense. Top Golf is alot of fun. Great for an outing with friends or a date night. If you're going on the weekend, be prepared, it's busy. We reserved several bays for a friends birthday. It's like bowling, but for golf. This place is amazing and so much fun for everyone! Even if you've never touched a golf club before (like me). I don't think it is much like actual golf at a golf course, but it's nice because you can eat, hang out, and play a game at the same time. It's also semi-indoors, you're in the shade but the balls go out. All the balls have microchips in them and you get points based on where they land. There's also a TV at each bay and you can change the channels on them and sit on their high chairs or sofas. It's also really fun at night with all the lights. The food is amazing too. I tried their nachos, hummus ($9), buffalo burgers ($9), and unique to topgolf - mushi ($10) which is a burrito shaped like a sushi! Get the injectable donut holes ($11) for dessert, you get syringes full of stuff to inject the donuts with. I don't like jelly so we got chocolate and cream to inject. Each bay can accommodate up to 8 people (only 6 can play at a time though), you pay per hour per bay, so the more people playing the cheaper it is per person. The hourly rates depend on what time you go. You also have to pay $5 for a lifetime membership if it's your first time. There is a reservation fee if you want to reserve a bay (which does not go towards the hourly fee), there can be a really long wait if you go during popular times like during the holidays. Service is great too, everyone's friendly and servers are attentive, even when they switch shifts. All in all, really fun place to go even if you don't like golfing! read more

We visited during Covid and it was busy. If you're on any sort of a schedule I HIGHLY recommend making a tee time/reservation, especially if you are visiting during the weekend. Our group of 4 waited an hour and a half to play, which ended up working just fine. We sat in the bar/lounge and ate and had a good time! Why 5 stars? Because it's an incredibly fun experience for just about anyone. --- --- --- I have played a lot of sports in my life, and am a huge sports fan, but golf has never really interested me much. I've only legitimately played twice in my life, and I'm obviously horrible because of that. But I've always been curious to at least try out a driving range. What could be the harm in that? Topgolf is like the best driving range of all-time. You have food and drink brought right to you. The screen tells you how far your balls travel. You can play a bunch of different games with your friends. There are TV's at each bay for when you're not golfing. Each bay also has a heater and fans, which dramatically helps keep the temperature more mild. It's really great! The only demographic of people that would be genuinely disinterested in Topgolf might be extremely anti-sports people, or Elite golfers. But for anyone else in between, this is a great place to take a group of friends. I will absolutely be back. One nitpick: I do wish the beer selection would sway toward the way of the world, and incorporate more local/craft beer. read more

Top Golf is a blast. I was lucky enough to go as a work outing, and this was the best work outing I have ever had. The whole place looks amazing. When you first come in, you feel like you are at some futuristic place. First, you will see a wall fountain that looks pretty nice. Next you will see a nice bar with tons of high tables. Afterwards go outside, and there are three levels of areas where people hang out in their designated section, and golf out to the green. It goes pretty way out there. Golf clubs are clearly marked, the computer system you use to track your game with the other people is really modern, and it's just pretty darn awesome. We had a spread of food that was pretty good. The best part was the hunking chicken wings. There's lots of drink options, and there's theme days for different events as well. I'm totally up for coming back to Top Golf with a group of friends. This is one of the golf courses you can know about your driving golf ball distance. It doesn't matter it rain or shine, this place can handle both conditions. We were there when Tampa has been rain for a week. I actually like to play when it rain in summer time. Summer in Tampa for outdoor is brutal even with the sun down. Rain actually cools it down for this cover open air activities. We like the food there with bite can be share with many people. We have steak flat bread, Mushi, and buffalo chicken slider. The Mushi is chicken roll in jalapeño tortilla. They have many pieces to share. I would consider they have many selection of the party food. My friend shows me the games system of the golf. I am just a recreation golfer may be golf 1 time every three years. You will know I am not the skill golfer. My friend indicate to me that is better for me since I am not the serious golfer and I will enjoy more in Top Golf games. Serious golfers loose the fun of this place since they ask for their perfection of their skill. They also have games indoor with pool table, games console with motion and more. Topgolf is everything I hoped it would be! I went here on a Wednesday afternoon with my work group for an outing. We arrived at 1pm and it was actually pretty full! They have a large parking lot that accommodates plenty of vehicles on the weekdays but I imagine that it would be totally full on the weekends or a Friday night. It appears that they are doing some construction next to the facility which may lead to more parking spaces. Topgolf is located next to Bass Pro right off of I-75 in Brandon/Riverview. Topgolf has 3 levels of bays for you to choose from. If you've never been here before, you'll need to go to the front register to buy a member card (which is only $5). The cost to play varies based on when you go, but includes up to 6 players! The prices are as follows: Monday to Thursday, Open to 6pm = $20/hour Monday to Thursday, 6pm to close = $40/hour Friday to Sunday, Open to noon = $20/hour Friday to Sunday, noon to close = $40/hour I've heard some people say it's expensive, but if you have a group of six the most you'll pay is a little over $6 per person. And heck, if you bring this group on a weekday morning/afternoon, you're only paying about $3 per person! The range has several targets to hit with different colors and sections that track your points. The golf balls are all equipped with tracking technology that relays your points back to your bay TV screen. So awesome! There are thousands of golf balls!! I was impressed. Clubs are provided and the staff does a great job explaining which ones are for what type of player. There are large couches and chairs, table space and big oscillating fans to keep you cool. The food was also very delicious and reasonably priced in my opinion. Our group of 6 shared many menu items. We had pickle fries (I did not try these), guac & chips, Mushi, Buffalo Chicken flatbread, Cheese flatbread (there was a vegetarian in our group and the kitchen crew could accommodate!), Prosciutto/Artichoke/Olive flatbread and one person had an individual Spinach & Goat Cheese Salad. I really enjoyed the flatbreads as they were perfect sharing size and priced around $10 each. The guac was delicious and there were plenty of chips provided! I also enjoyed Topgolf Tea (LI Iced Tea) which was $9 which is comparable to other restaurants in the area. I really had a great time and can't wait to go back!
