We visited the Tiki Hut on Hilton Head Island during a Memorial Day weekend vacation. It has a fun…read morebeach‑bar vibe, and the live music definitely adds some great energy to the place. The outdoor seating is a nice touch, with a mix of open-air tables and some covered spots at the bar for shade. The drink menu is decent, with plenty of tropical cocktails to choose from, though the beer selection is surprisingly limited for a place that stays this busy. Most of the service seems to run through the bar, and while the bar staff was friendly, upbeat, and doing their best despite being absolutely swamped, the table service was pretty spotty. The food menu is just okay--nothing terrible, nothing standout. I ordered the Caribbean Jerk Chicken sandwich at lunch, and unfortunately it did not sit well with me at all. It upset my digestive system enough to derail one of my vacation days, which definitely colored the experience. One thing that stood out was the presence of armed security guards. Not necessarily a problem, but it does create a different atmosphere than you might expect from a casual beachfront bar. Many reviews have mentioned the parking. We stayed at the hotel, so it wasn't an issue for us but somebody sitting next to me at the bar was ejected by management for something related to parking. I'm not sure of the exact details because I couldn't hear the conversation well, but it seemed to have to do with either buying or selling a parking pass with someone else. There was another incident where an unruly patron had the police called on them after engaging with one of the aforementioned security guards. That said, these seemed to be atypical of the total experience. Overall, it's an entertaining spot for drinks and music, but the unpleasant food experience land it at a middle-of-the-road three stars for me.

It truely was pretty awesome. It came in a sizable bowl and was just the right temperature, too. The grilled cheese not so much. It was good but had only one measly slice of cheese. It could definitely use one more piece. I ordered the Mexican corn and there was nothing Mexican about it. It was just canned corn that had been scorched a little with no seasoning at all. The waitress was kind enough to take it off the bill. I like this restaurant atmosphere. It has a pretty good menu and a full bar. The service was great too!

We got there and it is literally an outdoor bar and grill. The ocean air was blowing nicely and it felt good. We grabbed a menu from the cashier's area. Debi was super kind and she helped us get some lunch. We both ordered non-alcoholic smoothies - he got pins colada and I got mango, and he ordered a club sandwich with onion rings and I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap with chips. We paid for our meal and sat at a table overlooking the pool area. It didn't take long for Debi to bring our food out to us. The portions were really large for a lunch, and the food tasted amazing. We got two ice cream cups from the freezer (creamy and refreshing) and some water to go. Debi asked us to come back, and we may get a chance to go back before we leave town. It's pricey - cost us almost $70.00 for two people - but the portions made it worth it.

He asked us how we were thinking of cooking the fish, and what we were making (ie- pan, fish tacos). He then gave us some recommendations and told us about each of the selections. We were impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly he was. We went with the triple tail and it did not disappoint. It was a perfect for blackened fish tacos and cooked quickly. High quality fish and tasty! A great local fish market, will definitely be back.

The store also had some frozen options and there were some souvenirs. The guy at the counter was friendly. The only reason I don't give this place 5 stars was the price. I just went to the local fresh fish market at Platt's in Myrtle Beach one month ago, and most prices here were almost DOUBLE what I paid there. My husband and I discussed that the rent is likely much higher on Hilton Head and they likely have a more affluent clientele that affords these prices. I got the cheapest options to take back to Charlotte in my cooler. I bought 1 lb of tuna ($23), 1 lb of XL shrimp ($16), and 20 of their $1 oysters in season. The gentleman generously gave me 24 oysters for $20. He also offered ice for my cooler. Customer service was excellent. I spoke with one of the regular customers while waiting in line and they highly recommended everything. I'm adding a photo of the tuna rice bowl I made. Ignore the fact that I overcooked it, it was my first time. However, the fish tasted excellent. I really liked the Asian cucumbers I made to go with it !
