Always wanted to check Torchy'a out. I forgot to take pictures of my food that's how hungry I was. I am giving this place 3.5 stars because the food was a bit on the salty side for me. Tacos are a la carte which is fine. I asked the cashier which was his favorite and he told me the Trailer Park taco. It basically a fried piece of chicken breast, green chiles, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese and poblano pepper sauce. I asked to have the sauce on the side. The taco itself was very good but a bit saltier than I prefer. You also have the option to go without the lettuce and replace it with queso! My second taco the Democrat. I honestly like this one a lot; it was simple yet tasty. It had barbacoa, cilantro, lime, avocado with tomatillo sauce. All in all great place to grab a quick bite or even chill for happy hour where they have a full bar. read more

Torchy's will always have my heart! During my trip to Orlando, my boyfriend and I made a trip to this beloved taco chain and it was life changing. Unfortunately, in New York, there's barely any good options for tacos and it's sad to say this single handedly beat out anything we've tried. We had 6 different tacos and they were all great! I loved how each one tasted unique with different toppings, sauces, and overall flavor profiles. I wish I heeded the warning about the Diablo sauce because I doused my taco in it and instantly regret it after the first bite. The street corn was amazing, super unique in flavor and very cheesy. But THE CHURROS - absolutely unreal. Hands down the best churros I've ever had, I had to go back for seconds. They were so soft and pillowy with a slightly crunchy exterior and paired with that dulce de leche sauce.... Mmmmmm. Planning my next trip back asap! read more

Okay, my fellow beings and lovers of tacos. I thought to give this place a try. I have not heard of the establishment before it opened. I got to try it with my crew for lunch. I tried 3 tacos, and the tacos were good. The decor was nicely themed with lots of red and black. The line started as soon as you walked into the place, leading to the leading to the left. I ordered the salmon taco without any cheese. The salmon was cooked medium just the way I liked it.It came with some tasty mouth-watering guac. I tried the chicken fajita taco, which was okay. I wouldn't go for it again, in my opinion. I also tried the jerk chicken taco that had all the awesome spices but no flavor to go with it. Enjoyed the kick, though. I will say bravo on the house lemonade. I went back for seconds. I never finished my drinks but it was delicious. May want to buy some gallons. I would definitely give them another try. Perfect queso that doesn't solidify, hot sauces that provide the most delicious burn, and a variety of tacos with fun topping combinations. This establishment sits independently in a Publix shopping plaza with plenty of parking. On the date of my visit, it was very loud inside and out, and there was an annoyingly long wait for food. When asked, the staff explained the kitchen was backed up - not sure how often this happens as today was my first and only visit. This was a drive for us so not sure if I will return. read more

Even tho it was a long line to order food I was shocked how fast it went to get to front to order they do give you this pager to bring to your table and they bring the food to you! I got the republican and chicken fajita tacos and then queso with chips but the chips was too salty but both my tacos was pretty good. My 2nd time at TT and food is still really good. I love their street corn, very yum. Ordered taco without shell, just in a bowl although the amount you get is of course very small. First time at Torchys tacos in Altamonte and decided to try the shrimp taco. Myself and my wife ordered one corn taco and one flour taco and I ordered two flour tacos . She got two corn tacos and I got my two flour tacos. She ate the first taco which came really messy and wet. She was about to eat the second one when she noticed it was also corn which she didn't like. Told the girl at the cashier who told her to order the bowl next time At that point we left. Despite being suggested many other places, I gave Torchy's in San Antonio a try. I was happy to find so much flavor in an unconventional taco. However, when it comes to Orlando's location, you should've kept Torchy's out west. After 3 days of stomachache and filing a complaint with the department of health, I'm finally here to give a short review. The wait was long, but I was patient because I knew what I was in for. Brought it home, and taco after taco there was confusion. A lot of it was a sloppy mess, little flavor, and overpriced for what should be. I can't recommend this to anyone. Stay away. I am beyond excited that was have a Torchy's now in the Orlando area!!! I am from Texas and am a HUGE Torchy's fan and have been waiting for this location to open ever since it was announced!!! We went for lunch today and it did not disappoint. The food was SO good and it might have been the best batch of queso I have ever had. The guacamole was fresh and the tacos were loaded with all of the fixings. The staff was super nice and all of the food came out quickly. I really liked Torchy and their options available. I wasn't expecting much because it's a chain but it was much better than I had expected. I had the trailer park which is fried chicken pictured and the jerk chicken taco. They were both really good. I also had their Mango drink that was really good too. Their prices are affordable and the new building is really nice inside. It also has a patio and a really nice full service bar too. The people were friendly and helpful when looking at the menu and answered our questions without a hiccup. Great addition to the area and will definitely return read more

The options for the tacos and other menu items are fantastic. This franchise is mostly in Texas, but awesome to see this in other states. Each taco has unique toppings and ingredients as they are all custom made. I ended up getting the Grande Burrito with a hint of Diablo sauce. They do have vegetarian tacos with beyond beef, but I'm not a fan of it. The chips/queso is a fantastic sharable too, and the drinks are always fun to get. The prices (around $5-6) are reasonable as the tacos and burritos are pretty big and fulfilling. read more

I'm a little bummed at my first experience here. I went to the original Torchy's (food truck in Austin) and it was always a thing I did in Austin since then. They have unique and loaded up taco options. I ordered online on their website and the site charged my card but the order didn't go through for some reason. Had to call to get the order taken again and that whole process was an awkward interaction with the employee. She was sweet, just didn't really know how to handle my issue. She then essentially told me to come asap, that my food would be ready so I rushed over (so my food wouldn't get cold) and I waited another 20-25 minutes in the restaurant. The young man that helped me in-store was super kind and helpful. The food was alright. The democrat taco was tasty! Really greasy though. The corn wasn't fresh. The queso was yummy! The chips were good too but wayyy over salted. My salmon taco had this pickled onion or cabbage on it that completely overpowered the whole thing.. couldn't hardly even taste the salmon on it. Just pickle. My partner's Republican taco was good but the Trashy Trailer Park he ordered was missing toppings and he didn't like it that much. They have pretty diverse sauce options and they offer them on the side but minimal hot sauce options. We might try it again at some point.. people have off days. read more

Finally had the chance to stop by this restaurant and try the tacos. Had the green chili pork tack and the Republican. The green chili pork taco was good. A bit mild for my taste. We went to the opening day of Altamonte Springs' Torchy's Tacos location! We even earned a cool free t shirt and free queso and chips for a year for getting there early on opening day. We discovered Torchy's in Houston and loved it, so we were super excited about this location opening.... And we weren't disappointed! The food was ok, not great, I had the crossover taco and Mexican corn. Neither was bad but then neither was great. I thought the food was slightly expensive for what you get but then what isn't nowadays. We sat at the bar and the service was fine. The place just opened a couple of weeks ago so it was suffering from new place curiosity and was very busy. The Ambiance is on par with a fast food order at the counter restaurant of other restaurants of this style. If you would have stripped away all the signage it could have been a Chipotle or a Tin and Taco. Neither of those restaurants are on my list of restaurants to revisit often. read more

Multiple bad experiences here, which is a shame because we really wanted this to be a good location. We love torchys, have had it from various stores and always good. All good except this location. Mother's Day. Advertising free queso for moms. Very kind! Except we get there at 11:30am and they say they're all out of queso. They don't offer free chips and salsa or free guac. They just say it's not available. Annoying but whatever. Since they opened, the service has gotten slower and slower. Tonight we went and waited 50 minutes for our food. Saw 4 tables that ordered after us get their food, eat, and leave before we got ours. We asked twice about it and the servers said they're working on it. Seemed like they didn't care. Manager did give me some free taco coupons which was kind but seriously, this location is not good. read more

Meh. I lived next to the original Torchy's Trailer in the 78704 for years. I had high hopes for Torchy's now being now in Orlando. First the place smelled disgusting. I'm not sure if they have sewer issues? (5/21/24) They seemed really under staffed. All the employees were really nice but, everything took forever and the food was lukewarm. No problem paying $5 for a taco but the Trailer Park was a good sized taco but the green chili pork was really skimpy. Half our order was wrong but, the employees drop the food and disappear so just eat the food we were given. Queso was meh. Serving was messy and thrown together. Cilantro on the Queso was black. But, bad Torchy's Queso is still an 8. Makes me want to fly to Austin to hit up Taco Deli and Habanero! read more

Very, very disappointed in the service here. I paid $70 worth of tacos. 5 chicken fajitas, 1 steak, 1 shrimp. Everything was cold! I ask them to take it back and heat it back up and 10 seconds later everything came back out at the same temperature . We also ordered queso and it was colder than guac.... it's disgusting to eat tacos that cold so I figured we'd take everything home. I reminded them that I also had bought an order of churros and I waited 15 minutes before I had to remind them about it. I then walked to the bar to ask for them, they tell me I should take that up with the front desk. Mind you the front desk had a whole line of people taking orders. While there was no one at the bar....20 seconds later I see them both on their phone texting and on instagram. The churros were also over fried with barely any cinnamon on them. At that point it was just overly fried dough. Yuck. We will not be coming back here anytime soon. (I'm from Texas where torchys is originally from and it is nothing like this) . Do better. read more

We weren't particularly hungry, so we were looking for a snack, rather than a full dinner and something new. The moment I walked in I was greeted with an amazing aroma of the food! I got the house margarita on the rocks. I was strong but didn't taste like it was. It was refreshing! I ordered The Naughty Santa taco which had shrimp and chorizo, a combination that I wasn't expecting to love! The flavors paired so well with each other. I first tried Torchy's tacos about 10 years ago in Austin, Texas so was excited when I heard they had a location coming to Orlando. My husband, son, and I ate here for lunch couple of days ago and we had a good experience. The decor is pretty cool, location is clean, and to the service was fast. I have two complaints. The first is that it is hard getting into and out of of the parking lot where the restaurant is located. The second is that I feel it is slightly over priced. It was $2.90 for kids juice box, and for the 3 of us to eat with tip was approximately $60. The tacos don't come with any side, just $6-$7 for each taco. My husband and I started with the hillbilly queso, which was her favorite part of the meal. The chorizo had a good amount of heat, and the fact that the queso has a guacemole in it was my favorite thing from ten years ago and is still one of my favorite. My husband denies that the sangria which was delicious. For my son we got a cheese quesadilla, which he absolutely loved. My husband got a trailer park and Jamaican jerk chicken taco. He really enjoyed the trailer park, but the jerk chicken was way too spicy for him. I got the Democrat and the shrimp tacos. The Democrat had decent flavor, but the shrimp taco was by far my favorite and came with a zesty sauce. We might come back again. Rating from F to A+++, I give it an A+. Was looking up new places to eat and came across Torchy's. So glad that we did because this place was awesome!! We walked in and decided to sit at the bar. Bartender immediately greeted us with a smile and asked if this was our first time. We said yes and she began to explain what Torchys is and about some of their food. We started with a half order of the queso and chips, wow that was amazing!!! Next we ordered drinks, I got the Mexican Candy Margarita and my fiancé got Tito's Cherry Limeade. Both drinks were delicious! Next we asked about their "Secret Menu" , we used the secret word. Jk But we did order off the secret menu, I had the Ace of Spades and my fiancé had the Matador. Holy crap!! Hands down one of the best tacos I've ever had!!! Food, service and atmosphere were all top notch h!!
