I like Torchy's but this one was seriously disappointing! Nice new building, lots of people, well kept inside... but just way over salty food! Everything tasted like a pound of salt had been dropped on it. I had the queso, trailer park (trashy) and the Baja... it all was loaded with way too much salt! I'm not a purist... one of those raving goofs who thinks Torchy's is only good back in a food truck or at their home location in Austin... but this particular location makes a point for both! The place was full of people... obviously either they didn't get the salt treatment or they had lost their tastebuds! Whatever the case... yikes... I need some real Torchy's! We went here for lunch today, the staff was rude. After waiting in line we got up to the register the girl walks away and says the other person can help us. so we have to wait in another line. We get 4 tacos and queso it was $45.00?????? The tacos are the size of street tacos. They didn't make the 2 tacos I ordered correctly. I had to flag down one of the workers to ask them to please bring me the correct tacos I ordered. No apologies, the manager brought the correct tacos back over and just put them on the table and said here. And then walked off. It had been a while since I'd been to Torchy's so this was a new location for me. Parking at this location is not the easiest so have some patience and take the first spot you find. When we got inside the line was to the door. I was worried it would be a long wait but within 10 minutes we were ordering. I did notice that the prices of everything had raised at least a dollar since I last visited a Torchy's so that made it a lot more expensive. For six tacos and a two drinks it was about $40. I got the fried avocado and two of the baja shrimp tacos. For the price they do load up the tacos with fillings so that was a plus though overall it was pretty pricey for tacos. They do fill you up though. The avocado was so so. It wasn't as flavorful as I had remembered and I probably won't get it again. The baja shrimp tacos were good but the breading was a bit weird and splotchy. Overall I won't be going out of my way to hit up a Torchy's anytime soon. The price just doesn't justify the food. However if you don't mind pricey fancyish tacos here's a good place for you to go. read more

Let me start out by saying people do the best they can do and appreciate their service. I've been to several Torchys from Austin to DFW. This location everyone was friendly. I was disappointed, however, that when I asked for a dairy free sauce option that no one seemed to know the answer. I have been to several other Torchys and never had it suggested that I go without because of cross contamination. I get it, cross contamination happens but really? They suggested the tomatillo sauce. So I looked it up on the Torchys website to make sure it was dairy free and it's not. I went back to the register to request avocado sauce as it was dairy free. Take away, to avoid disappointment anywhere, make sure you know what's in the food as the servers might not. read more

This place is great - should have gone to one when I lived in Texas! They are in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma plus one more state but sadly not Missouri. I had the trailer park which was a fried chicken taco with a great green salsa and flavoring (I didn't get extra trashy which is hold the lettuce and add queso). The Crossroads taco was on 3 soft corn tortillas that didn't break when folding to eat and had brisket as the main item and a delicious sauce and salsa. The brisket was soft and had a slight barbeque flavor - Texas brisket is always smoked and is the best. The chips come with a choice if salsa and the roja was slightly hot like a medium and was wonderful. You get your own fountain drinks. They bring food to you with locators you put in table after you order at front counter. read more

There are literally hundreds of places in Fort Worth that are better than this joint. I've patronized Torchy's Tacos since 2015. After last night's experience I would rate them a negative 5 if I could. I have decided I'll never patronize this place again. I ordered the Baja Shrimp, the green chili pork and the Mr. Orange tacos. I took one bite of the Baja Shrimp and it was so unpalatable, I threw it out. The green chili pork was just a chunk of meat and a tortilla without the advertised fixings. The salmon in the Mr. Orange was tasteless and barely palatable. The corn tortillas were taken right out of the bag without being toasted. The queso dip wasn't as good and the chips were stale. Whoever is working the kitchen is obviously not a chef. read more

The first impression when talking to cashier she could have been nicer. The card that was being used was locked and we said that after we realized that and she proceeded to loudly say the card was declined can you try that again. The chips and queso arrived quickly. Then the tacos came out(four chicken and two beef) when eating the first two tacos both of them had raw chicken in them. The beef tacos tasted like lime juice was dumped all over them. This was brought to managers attention and he was prompt with removing the food off table and offering other items. At this point we could not stomach to eat anymore food from this place. In need of a taco fix we came to Tourchy's. It was highly recommended and conveniently just steps from our hotel. We were excited to try their tacos. Upon entry on this dreary day, we were greeted by heavenly smells and a huge crowd of patrons. With a huge menu and many choices, we were really excited to try the tacos we had heard of. To start we ordered, queso and chips - ouch, where was the cheese. It was more like cheese soup. Hummm not a good start. Then for tacos, we ordered the: Catfish taco Tuna taco Barbacoa taco Shrimp taco Green chili pork taco Alabama shake taco Fried avacodo taco All in all everything was a huge disappointment. We tried everything and it was disgustingly over salted to the point of swollen tongues. Brutal I know but something was not right. At first I thought a taco was bad. Then ok maybe my taste buds were shot but after discussions with my guests, unanimously we were all in agreement these were the most salty, worst tacos we had ever had! We were not able to finish any of our order and parted ways with salt burnt taste buds and hangry stomachs. Maybe, if we were drinking beers and shots of tequila we would have needed the salt lick but drinking water and looking forward to tasting something, we were highly disappointed. Even after waiting for my tastebuds to settle down because of consuming much needed beverages, I tried just the meat and ruined my palate yet again. Sad really not a happy visit. Delicioso!! Grab an ice cold Bottle of Coke and order up about any Taco on the menu. I lean towards the Chicken Fajita taco and I'm Tellin ya it was awesome. This place is Right up there with comparable places in my book...great taste, not too spicy unless you want it, then yea it's freakin spicy, and fluffy flour tortillas to boot (or corn if you prefer). I gave 5 stars for a stellar establishment performance but almost had to lean towards a 4 Star because their rice and beans were just ok. Surprisingly because everything else was so good, even my colleagues noted other Tacos and salads were some of the best they've had. Thus I had to go 5 stars. This Torchy's has saved us on multiple occasions. The tacos are great, the atmosphere is chill, and the service is always quick and friendly. The only downside I would give this location is the parking -- there are rarely any parking spots in front of the location so you usually have to park next to the Jason's Deli next door. My recommendation is the brushfire. It has a great balance of sweet from the mango and heat from the grilled jalapeños. Also, get the chips and queso! You won't regret it. read more
