The food here is very standard teriyaki chicken, the chicken was a little dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for a bit which I assume it had since it came out immediately. The rice was a bit clumpy and the salad was very standard. Overall for the price it was a very standard Seattle teriyaki with a good price of $13. Meh... Not the best, not the worst. I ordered the Vegetarian and the Chicken & Beef Teriyaki, both came with two scoops of white rice, and they added a salad to our order. This place frankly surprised me, but I think that's because the reviews for here were all over the place. Maybe because of that, my expectations were low? Just grabbed a chicken yakisoba on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The man behind the counter was friendly, and got me in and out of there in 10 minutes. I haven't had standard fare teriyaki since moving away over two years ago. 'Tis sad but true, teriyaki shops simply do not exist in Louisiana. On a recent trip home, teriyaki fell to lunch on Sunday. Checked Yelp and drove to two 4-star places only to find that they were closed. Driving around feeling bummed that it would be another year without teriyaki, we just happened upon I Love Teriyaki and the flashing neon said they were open! -- on a Sunday!! I was a little skeptical of part of their signage advertising Chinese food as well, but realized this was it -- my only chance to have teriyaki before heading back to Louisiana. Thumbs up - the food was DELICIOUS and it was a typical, very fair portion for the price. Thumbs down - There were about 9 of us, so with appetizers, drinks and entrees, we probably dropped a Ben Franklin there. We accidentally ordered two full size orders of chicken fried rice (for two very young boys who could have shared one portion with another two or three kids). When we immediately asked for the correction, the owner said that the rice was already made? Huh??? You expect me to believe that you just now made the rice especially for us? Do I have stupid written across my forehead? Secondly, one person remembered her healthy choices and quickly asked for brown rice instead of white--before her meal had time to even make it onto the plate in the kitchen. He would not change that either. I guess it is just that serious for him. Bottom line - I'd definitely go back because it was very good food. I would just be sure of what I order because if it comes out of my mouth and I pay for it - there are no go-backs. read more

This business has been here for years, I grew up within 6 blocks of this place and still never tried it. So on a sunday my mom decides that we want teriyaki and that sounds great! but it's sunday... All the regular places are closed except I luv teriyaki is OPEN! I figured it's been here for years and the parking lot is packed. That has to say something about this place. I was wrong... The service was just shy of being rude but tolerable if the food had been good. The teriyaki was mediocre. If you prefer a teriyaki with a ginger/soy type flavor than you might like it. You really can't go wrong with rice... Unless you pick up a bottle of what you think should be teriyaki sauce only to find that it is mostly soy sauce. The salad was fresh and crisp which I really liked, however the salad dressing tasted like it had been watered down. It was very bland and runny. I also ordered egg rolls. I have had bad egg rolls before. I have never had egg rolls that were so bad that putting sweet and sour sauce on them made them taste worse. I almost put 1 star but I have to give them a little credit for giving me edible food and a crisp salad. read more
