The food was really fresh and you get a great amount of food. The veggie yakisoba was delicious, just needed more of the seasoning sauce- little bland. We also ordered the general tso and it had a great flavor profile with a good crunch. Overall, it's a good value and cashier was really nice

Chicken Teriyaki & Katsu

I drove by this place and thought yeah why not grab a bite to eat. Food was descent at best. It's teriyaki so not much to write.

The food here is very standard teriyaki chicken, the chicken was a little dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for a bit which I assume it had since it came out immediately. The rice was a bit clumpy and the salad was very standard. Overall for the price it was a very standard Seattle teriyaki with a good price of $13. I like that they had sauce bottles available for dine it.

Made it 30 minutes till close and they were happy to see me!

Meh... Not the best, not the worst. I ordered the Vegetarian and the Chicken & Beef Teriyaki, both came with two scoops of white rice, and they added a salad to our order. With 1 Dr. Pepper, the total was less than $20. I've read other reviews where someone paid a lot more for one meal, I'm not sure he are at the same place we did. Cleanliness:. You would be hard pressed to find any dirt here. I didn't use the restroom so can comment there, but as for the restaurant itself, it was very clean. Food: here's where I find myself pausing... Nothing was bad, everything treated fine. I guess it was just that, fine. Vegetables are way cheaper than meats, I think I was a little shocked at the miniscule amount of broccoli and carrots in my cabbage stew. My husband said the beef was better than the chicken, but when pressed he just glanced up and gave me the "I'm eating, not giving you an interview for an article" look. Would I go back? Yeah, it was affordable and a pretty decent meal. I wouldn't drive in from Seattle or Renton for this however. All in all I think it's a good meal at a great price, in a clean atmosphere. Sometimes all you want is basic.

Lmfao my salad with not a single carrot stick or piece of purple cabbage for $4.99

Been coming here since I was a little girl. Me and my mom used to buy the salad dressing out the sriracha bottles... Even when I went to HS I used to stop by during lunch and get a chicken bowl. I been a loyal customer!! But for y'all to charge $5 for this salad lmfao, y'all really smoking CRACKKKKKKK like I drove all the way home to not even find one carrot or one piece of cabbage in my salad... do you know how much lettuce cost I am appalled lmao.

Chicken yakisoba

This place frankly surprised me, but I think that's because the reviews for here were all over the place. Maybe because of that, my expectations were low? Just grabbed a chicken yakisoba on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The man behind the counter was friendly, and got me in and out of there in 10 minutes. My yakisoba tasted good and had a fair ratio of meats and veggies, so I'm pretty pleased. Doesn't beat out my top joint, but it's a great place to stop by on a Sunday when you're craving teriyaki. Hopefully the owner has read the past reviews and adjusted accordingly.

Even the soda fountain machine doesn't work.

The teriyaki was fairly middle of the road and the sauce wasn't as good as some of the other places in town.

Price Point - There are several meat options served here that are very expensive but we tried it all. My personal favorites were the Spicy Pork Cutlet, the Salmon and Rice Bowl, and the wagyu sirloin skewers. Being from Missouri I knew that the prices would be a bit more than what I was used to but it really wasn't that significant. For 4 people who ordered a little bit of everything, we spent 140$ That's three appetizers, 2 sides, and 5 main dishes. For special occasions, celebrations, corporate dinners, this place seems like a great option. Now, in regard to the portion sizes. Pretty simple explanation, they do feel a bit small. Lastly, do they have options for children? I would say no but that depends on what kind of food your kids eat Hahha. This is more of an adult restaurant not particular organized for kids meals. Overall, I definitely recommend everyone check this place out. The food is so fresh and flavorful. We lived the experience and would definitely come back if we find ourselves in town again.

Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.

However, expect slow or inconsistent service and just an okay environment. //CONTEXT// Came here on a Friday evening as a party of two. Found a seat immediately //ENVIRONMENT// Honestly the environment felt a bit sad. There was no music, it was super quiet and just not a typical restaurant environment. Even when I ordered I went up and had to write down my order on their receipt lol. //SERVICE// The service was really slow. I understand that rolls take a while to make and they have a lot of takeout orders but I would hope they'd improve based on what they're seeing. Here are some examples: - When we got there, there was another couple who already ordered and was waiting for their food. Three other parties came in and we all got their food before them. This couple never got their food, had to check and then waited more and then just left. We were there for 45 mins before we got there so they were waiting even longer. - Another party got their food before we did and we ordered before them. Also it was interesting in that this person got their order placed with the owner but we had to write our order down - As mentioned it took us about 45 minutes for 3 rolls. I thought this was kind of long. //FOOD// Food was amazing! If you can get past the wait the rolls are so good! They're fresh, tasty and not too large or too small! I got the Akron, Newport, and the Juneau! These were all so good! The tempura and fried soft shell crab was perfectly crispy and not soggy at all. The fish tasted so fresh! The Newport did lack a bit of ponzu. Aside from that these were great rolls Overall, the rolls were good but the service and wait does make me hesitant to come back.

Been going here for several years now - poke has always been solid and the Hawaiian dishes were good not great. But today it was all different - everything was outstanding! Wife got a 2 salmon scoop poke : fish was great as always, but the seasoned potatoes (gamja jorim) she chose as 1 of 3 sides was very good. Dad had the hwae-dupbap (think of it as Korean bibimbap but with poke instead of meat) and the Cho-gochujang sauce was excellent. I had the loco moco and it was better than in the past. Also the banchan with that were fire (seasoned japchae noodles, spicy shredded radish) both better than in the past They sell most of the side dishes as banchan and as a Korean I fully endorse them. I am a huge Korean banchan snob and I will absolutely countersign their cooking I don't know what's going on but like I said - everything tastes better than before. The ajumma who runs the place said business is getting slower as the economy is imploding so let's support this awesome local business so we can keep this place around.
