    2. Chicken Teriyaki
    Kathryn J.

I'm not from Seattle. I had a local give me some recommendations, and they said I had to get teriyaki- specifically Toshi's Teriyaki. They were right! I ordered delivery to my hotel. The menu is large but the teriyaki part is pretty simple. I got shrimp teriyaki while my friend got spicy chicken teriyaki with veggie fried rice. We got gyoza to share too. We could have split one chicken teriyaki and had leftovers! I had no idea how much food was included! For $17, it's a great deal, especially considering food everywhere seems so expensive these days. The shrimp teriyaki included 10 large pieces, which again I thought was really generous. The portions were large but it was also delicious. I preferred the shrimp teriyaki. It was sweeter than the spicy chicken and the shrimp was delicious. The spicy chicken teriyaki was still so good! The highlight was actually the gyoza. They were light and not too greasy, meaning I ate way too many! I wish I lived closer because this would be a regular for me! But I'm glad I got a great recommendation for a great meal.

The note to my nephew that she wrote on the box for me

I HIGHLY Recommend this place!!! The food was delicious, the portions are HUGE and the customer service was amazing!! I had called them to ask some questions and they were so sweet and answered all the questions so patiently. I had ordered the food through DoorDash to have it delivered to my nephew in the hospital. I had asked if she would be willing to write a note for me to him and she didn't hesitate to do it. She said "Oh sure, no problem!" And then asked me what I wanted to say. She wrote it right on the lid of the box. She went over and beyond in her sweet customer service. Between the amazing customer service and the delicious food and large portions, this will now be my go to teriyaki place!!! And the prices are good too!

Advice to everyone here. Check your bank statement everyday. This place will double charge you and even charge your bank when you didn't even buy their food. Will be filing fraudulent and unauthorized charges. Last week I only buy one spicy chicken and they double charge me. Yesterday (08/05/2026) my company bought me lunch but my bank show this place charged me $16.71....

Felt like some Teriyaki and found this place. Walking in there's a decent amount of seating. Walked up and someone was there to take my order. I was told there wasn't much food available because I came 30 minutes before closing. I ordered a Chicken Teriyaki......I grabbed my food at the counter and the young lady said by have a good nite. I put my food down real quick to take a picture and she said have a good night again. I look back and she's staring at me. So put my food back in the bag and left. I see they're closing early now and all but ok. Far as the food goes the Chicken was good....Rice with Teriyaki sauce was good....Salad was good too. If you're in the area stop by.

Attempted to access their menu to order and the website says they are no longer affiliated with them, I called to see if they have a menu online so that I could place a to go order for pick up as I live in the area, and the woman working was absolutely no help and said I don't know what to tell you. Guess I won't be dining here at any point.

Food was phenomenal. Large portions enough to take home for yummy leftovers, and free hot tea!! That really gave it the mom n pop teriyaki spot vibes i remember as a kid. Will definitely be back and highly recommend. The gentleman taking our order was a super dude as well. Very very clean, you can tell from the sauce bottle tips and restroom they're clean.

This was a spot recommended to us by our rental car buddy, Francis. Nice suggestion, my guy. This spot is a small tasty lil joint. We did a family combo meal for around $22 (pre tax). The waitress was the sweetest, petite lil lady. She brought food out to us quickly. She fed my other half compliments on his ink work. She really was so sweet. If you get teriyaki chicken, don't forget the ranch!!! The teriyaki chicken is plentiful and cooked very nicely. The sauce is thick and costs very well but it isn't toooooo sweet. The sweet and sour chicken was also very good. It was not quite as crispy as I would've liked, but the flavor was there. The sauce was good. Our meal also came with. 5 pieces of gyoza. The sauce taste like the one out of the bottle, Maggi. Still, that's fine. The value for the amount of food that we received was actually really good. One entrée of chicken teriyaki is about 12 or $13 alone. So for two people to share this meal for $22 or so is quite a deal. There's a cute little mix of K-pop music as well as some trendy pop music playing. The wall is covered in very cute prints as well as quotes that are very positive and uplifting. The beverage selection is pretty extensive. They have cans of Sprite and Pepsi, diet Pepsi, a few Hawaiian sun beverages. They also have bottles of Snapple and Gatorade. They carry Coke products as well. There is a good variety. The restaurant is very clean. The waitress cashier does a really good job of maintaining the cleanliness year. This is a cute little spot. I would try it again.

One of my greatest meals in Seattle! We got the spicy beef chicken and Katsu combination and everything was incredible. Portions were huge and everything was cooked to perfection. This is definitely a must try when visiting Seattle!

Made a pick up order. If you want value from your meal, this place will give you portions that will promise leftovers for you to work on later. Two generous scoops of rice and large cuts of one to two proteins. I highly recommend their chicken katsu paired with their teriyaki sauce; it's juicy in the center and crispy & flaky exterior. Another plate that will satisfy you is their short ribs, chicken and marinated beef cut; drizzle some teriyaki sauce and expect to be unproductive for the next few hours. Nicely seasoned beef and short ribs, tender and carefully grilled. I'll be coming back soon if i want a teriyaki fix.

Finding a good teriyaki place is very hard to find . However this establishment deserves a 5/5 The staffs customer service was great and very welcoming. Food was delicious and rich in flavor. Portion was very generous! Restroom was very clean. Next time I visit Seattle I will definitely be coming back.

The people working here were very aware of customers coming in to order and were happy to serve people it is a noticeable difference from other places The Teriyaki was delicious it came with two large scoops of rice And a side salad And the chicken portion Was very large And tasted Fresh. It was not drowning in sauce, which is good, and the sauce that they did use had a good flavor

Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.

However, expect slow or inconsistent service and just an okay environment. //CONTEXT// Came here on a Friday evening as a party of two. Found a seat immediately //ENVIRONMENT// Honestly the environment felt a bit sad. There was no music, it was super quiet and just not a typical restaurant environment. Even when I ordered I went up and had to write down my order on their receipt lol. //SERVICE// The service was really slow. I understand that rolls take a while to make and they have a lot of takeout orders but I would hope they'd improve based on what they're seeing. Here are some examples: - When we got there, there was another couple who already ordered and was waiting for their food. Three other parties came in and we all got their food before them. This couple never got their food, had to check and then waited more and then just left. We were there for 45 mins before we got there so they were waiting even longer. - Another party got their food before we did and we ordered before them. Also it was interesting in that this person got their order placed with the owner but we had to write our order down - As mentioned it took us about 45 minutes for 3 rolls. I thought this was kind of long. //FOOD// Food was amazing! If you can get past the wait the rolls are so good! They're fresh, tasty and not too large or too small! I got the Akron, Newport, and the Juneau! These were all so good! The tempura and fried soft shell crab was perfectly crispy and not soggy at all. The fish tasted so fresh! The Newport did lack a bit of ponzu. Aside from that these were great rolls Overall, the rolls were good but the service and wait does make me hesitant to come back.

The chewy bounciness at my favorite Japanese locations is almost physics-defying. The texture is simply divine. In comparison, this mouth feel is a cheap knock-off. The broth is not bad. The dashi is not as satisfying, but this was drinkable without being bland or too oily. I was more impressed by the fried sides. The giant potato croquette was excellent. The level of crisp and mushiness of the inside was on-point. The chicken was also nicely crispy and juicy. Of course, the fact that it was dark meat automatically gave it a head start over a lot of American fried chicken filets. The zucchini was good. The pumpkin was a bit dried out, but I think that was partly because I ate it last. Overall, this is quite authentic, from the way the noodles are prepared, to the way customers self-serve the sides. They even have a tray return. There are certain Japanese main-stays that I wanted to see, which are missing. Like, some kind of fish in the tempura line would've been nice. One of the biggest localizations is probably the veggie udon, which is violently un-Japanese looking with its carrots and broccoli and would certainly ruin the mouth feel of a smooth bowl of udon. If there's one plant root you want in an authentic veggie sanuki udon, I'd argue it should be grated daikon radish, which I don't think they have. But well, having too many unfamiliar things might be off-putting. That grated ginger at the end is already dangerous enough lol.
