MY NEW FAVORITE SPOT !!!!!! oh how I've wanted to find a mom and pop family run place in Seattle! I'm so tired of hotel food! I came across this place a few times but never ventured off to grab food from here until tonight. I read the reviews and PLEASE please don't let those fool you. This place is such a hidden Gem ! First off right when I walk in I'm greeted by the owner she was SO NICE the biggest smile on her face she made conversation with me and made me feel so welcomed. I asked for the spicy chicken teriyaki and spicy beef teriyaki (I asked for EXTRA EXTRA SPICY) if you love spicy ASK FOR EXTRA SPICY! I heard her husband in the kitchen asking me if I wanted it REALLY spicy and we laughed cuz I wasn't kidding when I said I love my food spicy lol! The food came out hot and ready I got picked up from my hotel shuttle as I'm staying at the Hilton garden inn so it was perfect. The food is SO GOOD the spice level was perfect! I also ordered the egg rolls and kimchi with my order and a side of spicy sauce. The order came out to $35 not bad but I wouldn't care of the price I love supporting family owned businesses! Sadly there weren't a lot of family friendly Asian restaurants near the hotels outside of SeaTac. We saw Masae's was a 5 min walk so went for take out. It is next to a 7/11 in small rundown lot. There is 2 small tables in the dining room, but I would recommend take out only. We ordered egg drop soup (disgusting, it was salty water with some egg swirled in and a small handful of frozen mixed veggies), chicken katsue (not bad for fried breaded chicken and rice) and chicken yakisoba (generous portion, but very greasy). Overall not a great meal and I would only recommend if you are desperate. read more

Was craving teriyaki takeout on 4/17/26 and while driving around SeaTac noticed this restaurant near 7 Eleven. Ordered 2 chicken teriyaki dinners. The young lady who greeted me and took my order, made me feel at home, asked if an appetizer or extra sauce was desired. Ended up ordering gyoza too. The meal to go was prepared within a very reasonable amount of time with good portions of everything! This was a pleasant surprise with the kimchi! My beef was the amount of protein. There was only about 8 small maybe 10 pieces of chicken & mainly cabbage. So in my opinion it was very light for a main meal at a teriyaki spot. Had I ordered teriyaki chicken it would have been a lot of more.., the veggies don't justify the small amount. But i loved the kimchi. A must get with rice. Overall I was happy. read more

I asked the woman who was working behind the counter if the teriyaki chicken had any of the allergens. Without even looking at me, she said "Then you go somewhere else. We mix everything together". Ordered Chicken Katsu, $16 for a plate yet it came out burned, dry and almost hard to chew like it was from yesterday but they reheat it up again. Rice not fully cooked as well. Spent $60 for 3 plates and am very disappointed. read more

I used to really love the food here but it has recently taken a dive. The rice is often overcooked, the teriyaki sauce is jelly like and they have recently change from lettuce salad to cabbage. It seems like it is also very unorganized inside with random chairs sitting around and so many cases of soda it would take an army to drink it all. The prices have increased which I can live with if the food quality stayed consistent. The portion sizes are huge but the food taste makes you not want to eat it. So sad. read more

You can always tell a great teriyaki spot by the plum sauce for the salad. Creamy smooth and sweet, perfection. The portion size on my spicy teriyaki was incredible, flavored to the heat I selected, all the spicy. Makes the nose run which what I asked for. Pork fried rice to top it off hit the spot. This is a hidden gem, confidently located near several airport hotels. I ordered the beef and broccoli with a side of egg rolls (see pictures). The staff/owners were so nice! All smiles which made my day after a 4+ hour flight. I ordered beef and broccoli with a side of egg rolls to go. They freshly prepared my meal, which was still steaming hot when I got back to my hotel. You will see from the pictures that my order was a lot of food. They would deserve a 5-Star review, except for these minor items. The beef was a little tough and overdone and the egg rolls were a little greasy. This was in all likelihood, the very worst noodle dish I have ever ever in my 70 years of life had. The chicken that was mixed in with the noodles was the only editable part. The noodles were gummy and stuck together and had an odd flavor and an odd smell. read more

Masae's Teriyaki is my favorite place to get my lunch/dinner when I stay in Seattle. My favorite is Tofu Teriyaki! Many teriyaki restaurants in US put too much sugar and other things, but Masae's one is perfect taste for me, not too salty and not too sweet! This restaurant is located near most of the SeaTac airport hotels. I stay at Fairfield, Country Inn, Aloft, Hilton Garden Inn, and Comfort Inn, so I can just walk to this restaurant. I believe this is the family owned restaurant, so you need little patience while their peak time! read more

In a word, disappointing. I stopped here for take out while overnighting near seaTac airport, and sorry to say I won't come back. The place is not in a great location which doesn't bother me, but the food was second rate at best. The Gyoza were fine, however my teriyaki chicken was overdone and hard to eat and the sauce was nearly flavorless. I was very disappointed. This use to be a "GO To Place" for teriyaki. I had been going there for years & the food quality / quantity & price was great. Went today & Masae's is under new management & everything has changed for worse & I was extremely disappointed. The new owners habe increased prices and are using lower quality meat, the teriyaki pork / beef were tough & lots of gristle found in lower grade meat & was also over cooked. They have changed the Teriyaki sauce/ Marinade & it's no longer tasty. I would suggest everyone to find a different Teriyaki Restaurant . . Went from 5 stars to barely 1 star. . IMO. . read more

Came here before my flight down South as it was the closet Asian restaurant to the park where we were. Based on the reviews and from the look on the outside, I was expecting it to be a fancy place or anything. We ordered the chicken gyoza and vegetable yakisoba with chicken along with a Sobe drinks. There was a couple of older Asian people; the man took our older and the lady cooked. Our food came out QUICK and it was big portion for what we paid. There was complimentary egg drop soup that was next to the counter. Everything was delicious; standard is better than a fast food restaurant. It was more of a hole in the wall mom and pop restaurant. The employee at the car rental business recommended coming here indicating that they had some pretty good teriyaki. I questioned his taste buds... We walked in and there was only about 5 small tables - literally a hole in the wall in a strip mall. They offered free soup. Cool... Veggie egg drop soup. We ordered the chicken and pork teriyaki plate, bulgogi and a side of gyoza. The chicken and beef teriyaki was the best entree offered. The bulgogi is fairly new to the menu. The meat was tough and definitely needed more seasoning. The gyoza was mediocre. The portions are generous and prices are on par for the lunch specials. Stick with the teriyaki. read more

What I witnessed at this restaurant yesterday was heartbreaking. The lady at the register was discriminating against a transgender human being who was only trying to pick up her food order. I heard her the hurt & pain in the woman's voice as tears rolled down her cheeks. The lady at the register was so cruel and just wouldn't stop . I can't believe that this discrimination is happening. I came to this restaurant for a quick bite during a lunch break, and It was walking distance from my job. To start this place was like your typical take out restaurant, I lucked out as there was no line upon entering, so II was able to order my food upon entering. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and gyoza lunch special, which was $8.95 (can't beat that for the amount of food given to you) the food was pretty decent for the price.
