I wish I had taken a pic of my meal. I ordered the shrimp with egg noodle shells with broccoli. The sauce was fine, the amount of shrimp (3) for what they charged was absurd. The shrimp were small and one of them wasn't even a full shrimp. There was a long wait between ordering and receiving the dishes we ordered. The other dish we ordered was the fish "special", a nice sized filet cooked well with pasta and veggies. Dessert was creme brûlée and it was really good. Drinks were fine, one glass of wine and two martinis, one which they did not sugar the rim for the lemon drop martini. Not sure I would go back, I really wanted to like this place, just not sure it was worth the amount of the check. read more

Small little intimate Italian restaurant in a local community with ample parking we went with party of four and I ordered fettuccine with smoked salmon and my husband had sausage with pasta brother-in-law had steak. The fettuccine appeared to be homemade but the sauce was atrocious it was just olive oil with flakes of salmon rather than a piece of salmon my husband and I had a glass of wine and a beer and our total including chip was $70 for two plates of pasta. I might add my brother-in-law steak was three bites literally on a bed of mashed potatoes and squash with gravy. The presentation was attractive but more time was spent in the presentation then I believe in the dish itself. read more

Wow! The owner Barry really hit it out of the park on this new restaurant of his! I'd been for lunch a couple of times which were both awesome, but tonight was cocktails and an amazing dinner that wow'd me! I'm a good cook so when I go out, I want something BETTER than what I can make. His mushroom ravioli with Sherry Cream sauce did not disappoint! I'm sad I forgot to take a pic but my mouth is still watering... my two friends were equally happy with their orders as well - we all got a gold star for finishing our plates! A tucked away, delightful restaurant. The outdoor dining experience was lovely with but one glaring negative. Our guest, as well as other outside diners, spent a significant amount of time swatting away flies. This is a simple, easily corrected. sanitation oversight. Not seventy-five feet from our outside table is a dumpster with open lids. Needless to say, this situation draws large numbers of flies into the general area. Then the aroma of the wonderfully prepared meals simply beckons the uninvited guests to join the rest of us. While keeping the dumpster lids closed is not a total cure, for an outside environment, it will yield a significant improvement. Also, there are an unlimited number of outside fly trap devices available online. read more

Once again Barry and his staff knocks it out of the ballpark. Our food was exceptional. My cousin and her husband were visiting us in Prescott, Arizona. I took them to one of my favorite places "El Gato Azul" for lunch. I found out they are closed on Tuesday. I have been living under a rock. (I have been busy with my Angel business the past 18 months) We decided to try Barry's new place "Torme". The food was excellent. I mean the very best ever!! The service was the great. Great little spot for some elevated food choices. It's more than I like to spend on a random night but if you want to spoil yourself or a special occasion it's great. I will be back. I have been to this location when it was Rustic Pie, and Rustic Cafe. The space was always tight, and it was just OK. Barry Barbe has created a wonderful restaurant with a delicious menu. We had dinner tonight at Torme in Prescott, AZ and after being in Prescott for 13 years, while there are other fine restaurants here, Torme is THE BEST we have dined in! The atmosphere is excellent, the service was EXCELLENT and the food was better than EXCELLENT!!!! It was my wife's birthday and the restaurant knew that and our desert (Creme Brule) was "on the house"! The Caesar salad was perfect as were the scallops and the cheese stuffed ravioli. We ate there opening night and the owner Barry was there to greet us. I am a first generation Italian and the food was over the top. Not just another Pizza, Pasta place in Prescott. This food is Gourmet Italian, with many of the dishes created by Barry himself. A must if you like High End Italian. I can't wait to go back. read more

Had dinner Friday night with a girlfriend at Torme restaurant here in Prescott. Our server, Grace, was wonderful! Extremely detailed in going over the menu, the specials, etc, wine list. We had so many questions because all the dishes look sooo good! This was my third time eating at Torme and Barry did not disappoint. All the pastas are made in house, along with sauces and sausages. Started with homemade focaccia bread and spread - yum! then ordered the scallops served over risotto, delish! Large enough for a meal. Then we ordered one of the specials, Mediterranean shrimp scampi served over fettuccine in a light sauce, also came with a great salad. So good I asked Barry to keep it on the menu! The shrimp were plentiful and huge. Fettuccine cooked perfectly to al dente! All the dishes on the menu that I have ordered, none of them have disappointed! Had lunch at Torme on June 1 and sat outside. We were a party of four and were served promptly, and I chose to have the special luncheon which was shrimp scampi, which was very nice except it only had three shrimp in the dish, (for a $22 lunch) and the dish was only warm. I kind of expected more for their special and at that price. read more

We had a negative and then a positive. We had reservations to sit outside because this time of year in the evening is just so wonderful here. As soon as we were served our bread the fly's found us. We loved the bread and we had some of the best scallops we ever had. Unfortunately the flies liked the scallops too. We were fortunately able to be seated inside, So yay. I had the "Noble" pork chop. OMG it was cooked beautifully. My BIL had the wheat pasta with mushrooms, my sis had the salmon and spinach. All of the dishes were great. The sambuca (which I did not order, but had a taste that stole the show). Thank you to the owner who gave us free desert (I do not think we deserved it, but it was much appreciated). Our server was wonderful, the place was clean and everyone seemed to know what they needed to do to keep the place running. I didn't even know that this place was around. I called to make reservations and asked to be seated inside because one of our guests is disabled. He is on oxygen and cannot walk far. We were told that they can't "guarantee it". Really? So it's all about filling up the tables? Adios. FYI, we went to Augies instead and they allowed us to drive to the back and escort our friend through the back door because it was closer than parking and going through the front door. Let's be frank - great food, service and ambiance are really hard to come by in Prescott. Not only does Torme fill the bill, it exceeds in every area! Although not in downtown (which is fine and way easier to park), it offers nothing less than fantastic food and service. Our waitperson, Lily, was one of the best I have EVER had the pleasure and knew the menu, recommendations and parings that were perfect! She was attentive, very friendly, not overbearing at all, but just a pleasure, which made the meal just that much better! In fact, speaking of the food, not only were the portions LARGE, they were perfect, came out hot and the flavors were also great! If there is ONE place in Prescott that should be on Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives, this is it! With everything homemade (pasta was great and I have tried some really good ones), the apps, salads, everything just wonderful! Highly recommend! If you happen to have Lily for your server, all the better! We will be back time and time again and cannot wait for the next experience! First, they couldn't find the reservation i made two weeks ago. Then they seated us outside in 90 degree weather. The amount of flies that descended on us with the arrival of our food was horrendous! I used one hand to try to eat my COLD pasta, and one hand to wave away flies! Two tables left due to the flies, and another group was able to move inside. In all fairness, I would have asked to have my meal remade but I was in such a hurry to leave that I didn't bother complaining. I won't be going back again. read more

I ate at Torme several months ago, and it was delicious. The service was great, as chef Barry was orchestrating everything on the night we were there. Fast forward a few months and we took friends there as a thank you. Unfortunately, Barry wasn't working that night (he deserves time off like anyone else) and the food definitely suffered. Our friend's pasta dishes were "ok" and my special of the day was so salty I could barely eat it. We were disappointed, as we had told our friends how good it was. We love to support local, and Barry gives a lot back to the community. We enjoy many dishes at his other restaurant El Gato Azul, but we aren't sure about the consistency of Torme. We would love to be proven wrong! Servers were great both times we have been there. Very friendly and accommodating. read more

Me and my husband have been to Torme 3 times for lunch. Food is delicious. Pasta's burst with flavor. I celebrated my birthday there recently with 6 of my girlfriends. I made reservations for New Year's Eve a week ahead and the person that tiik my reservation said they'd be posting the menu online. I kept checking for it but it never appeared. we went ahead with our reservation and we were seated in an outside, covered patio where the plastic tent was billowing in the wind the entire evening which certainly dampened the mood. The menu was prix fixed and the appetizers were excellent but it went downhill from there. The crab bisque was not great and the entrees were average at best. Our meals were $80 each and that didn't include dessert. This was an extremely disappointing dinner in a very lackluster environment . Never again! read more

Just one more reason to love Prescott, AZ. Every time I think it can't get any better or the people can't get any nicer - it does get better and they do get nicer. This past Thursday was our second visit to Torme Restaurant. I will come back to the food and restaurant itself later, I have to start with customer service. I was completely blown away by the exceptional service I received from John. My husband and I had recommended the restaurant to our friends who joined us on Thursday evening. We were getting together for dinner at Torme prior to going to the Josh Turner concert at the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center. I had the Chicken Roulade, which was excellent. It comes with a nice side salad, so by the time I got to the chicken I was only able to eat about a quarter of it. They nicely boxed up the remainder for me to take home. Unfortunately, I left the restaurant without it and called them as we arrived at YCPAC. They agreed to put my name on it and put it in their refrigerator until the next day when I could pick it up. I arrived on Friday morning at 11 AM, when they opened for lunch. They were unable to find it. They looked through all of their refrigerators and it just was not there. I understood and expected that would be the end of it. But John, a wonderful member of their exceptional staff, said that he was sorry and that they all felt bad they could not find it. He offered to make me something to go. I was stunned for a moment. He asked me what I would like and I said I really enjoyed the Chicken Roulade which I had the night before. He said please give us a little time and we will prepare one for you to take with you. He then insisted I sit at the bar, have a glass of water and make myself comfortable instead of standing in the entry. It took about 10 minutes or so to make the meal, they boxed it up and I was on my way. The entire staff could not have been more kind. A truly exceptional level of customer service. The restaurant is small and nicely redesigned from the previous owners The Rustic Pie. It is small but not crowded with a decent sized outside eating area. The bar is sufficient for the size of the restaurant and you can eat at the bar as well. Our first visit to Torme was the week prior. Our friends had heard about it and asked us to join them and their son. I had the Primo Ravioli, an Ode (an appetizer - which is one oversized ravioli with crostini) and a side caesar salad. My husband had the Pasta Pizzaioli. Our friends' son had Fettuccine De Spinach Con Salmon. Our friends had Shells Fumo con Gombero and Sherried Mushroom Ravioli. Everyone enjoyed their meals - absolutely no complaints and every morsel eaten. We all shared the Sage Brown Butter Scallops appetizers. They were absolutely outstanding. I think you could easily have them as your dinner entree and maybe add a side salad. On our second visit my husband had the Pasta Pizzaioli again (he really likes it) as did one of our friends. Of course, I had the Chicken Roulade (as mentioned above) and our other friend had the Basil Tortellini Rosa. Once again no complaints, everyone enjoyed their meals and I was the only one that did not finish my meal. On both visits the service was extremely cordial, pleasant and timely without being intrusive - very enjoyable evenings. We definitely plan on having return visits. So, all and all Torme is a great addition to "Everybody's Hometown." I have included the menus below. read more

We had high expectations of this new restaurant by Barry Barbe, who works hard to raise culinary standards in Prescott and is civic-minded business leader. We were disappointed. The menu bore no resemblance to the online menu, and the dishes we'd looked forward to weren't available. My Pasta Pizzaiola was a generous portion of underflavored peppers, chicken cubes (one was cold) ad a scant ration of sausage. My wife said her chicken dish also was on the bland side. Our server was smiling and courteous, but, inexplicably, we didn't get our entrees until 50 minutes after we were seated. Should have been better. read more

Food was delicious. Service staff was very nice but seemed inexperienced. We sat on the the patio which initially was lovely but as soon as the food arrived,so did dozens of flies. Summer is not the best time to visit Torme but will surely frequent this establishment once they (or the season) get the flies under control. read more
