My only wish is that they carried a wider selection of larger succulents in 10 gallon planters. The nursery in front of Toro has beautiful succulents in 10 gallon planters. They are a bit pricier. We had a list of plants that we needed so went to several nurseries around the area. This is a place where you can drive through, pick up your plants and pay from your car on the way out. If you want there is also the option to get a rolling cart and walk around the place, which is huge. We picked up lantana for $4 which at Home Depot, on sale was $7.98. They also had herbs which is hard to find. At about $1-2 each, it's a bargain. We bought about 10 rose bushes of different varieties at $14 each. This is a no frills place with great prices. This place is amazing! They have a great selection and another nursery in case you don't see something at the Torrance location. I did a huge transformation on my landscape and had a time crunch for a big party I was throwing. Toro Nursery delivered and early and provided me with hedges, plants and even sod! Recently I came and masks are enforced as well as social distancing but it didn't take away from the experience here which is always nice, peaceful and quaint for me! Wow!! This is perhaps the largest nursery I've been to yet. It's amazing how they have tents of plants and then beyond them are huge fields of plants! Prices are reasonable, and they sell cute pots here too. Didn't see any indoor plants (like I said, this nursery is HUGE), which was what I was looking for, but it was super fun walking around and admiring all the plants. Unfortunately, we went there one hour prior to closing time so we couldn't spend hours there. If I were to mention any cons, the only one would be their driveway into the nursery, which was a bit of a challenge to drive through (loose rocks, gravel). read more

If you ask any of the individuals out there who are taking care of the plants, they either try to avoid you unless you corner them and then they reply that they don't know. I walked up to the front and no one was to be found as well. Your best bet, walk into The trailer that says office. The selection is pretty good and varies on the day you go. If you're looking for fruit trees, they offer a variety. The nursery directly in front, has more exotic plants and an interesting selection. However, it is closed on the weekend. We went in today for a quick flowers shopping. Just picked up some marigolds and salvia. The nursery is big and have lots of different kinds of flowers. The younger guy who works there was very friendly and helpful. Also, the Hispanic gardener was very helpful even we could not communicate in language (body language helps!
