The food here is amazing! I gave it 3 stars because the service here ruined the entire experience for me. I'd rather DoorDash food than dine in. The hostess quoted us a 25 mins wait. However, we waited over an hour and a half. When we finally got seated, we felt rushed throughout our whole dining experience. Not to mention, this was the first time we ate here. After we paid our tab, we were waiting for one of our friends to finish her cocktail, the hostess gave our waiter a look, he walks over to our table and apologizes for rushing us but they needed our table for a different group. Idk how this place has amazing reviews when every time I came the experience just makes me not want to come back. Precovid, the micheladas and birria plate was all amazing. But now everything went downhill, I took my bf here 2 months ago and the micheladas was mediocre but the shrimp was very cold. Also our food wasn't fresh, the rice was pretty hard as well we just figured since we came very late we got the scraps of the food and drinks. So we decided to come back sometime in june and still the same thing our micheladas was mediocre and I had ordered the birria plate again. Not only was the rice a bit stale but the birria had hair in it! Deep inside the birria there was hair and it was cooked inside the meal. Of course we told a staff and they comped the meal. I was super upset because I honestly wanted to take the remaining home and eat it later on the night. 3 weeks ago we decided to come back for their breakfast, the chilequiles was very soggy and did not taste good at all. This is my first Yelp review ever, however I felt inclined to write this review because I was blown away by their waiters customers service. I don't want to explain all the details but in short... there were a few exchange of words between my bf and our waiter that I didn't find to pleasing. After the exchange of words, me and my bf discussed how the waiters response might've been a bit inappropriate. We then received our food and I told our waiter how his conversation with my bf was a bit "rude" but I didn't want to judge his actions, as I could tell he was stressed from other customers around him. We then proceeded to have a conversation about how he could've responded better to the situation, and instead of him getting all defensive about my criticism he took my criticism and created it into something positive!
