DON'T USE THIS COMPANY....HUGE RED FLAGS. We spent 50K on a geothermal system that is trash. The team is sketchy and we found several holes in the vents and tubes during construction. Years into a living in our home, half the bathroom fans were found not to work and have caused mold in our windows. They installed WAY too small of a system for our home size and it's severely underpowered. I genuinely believe the positive reviews on here are fake or written by them as we've had several other people echo the same things as us. Selma is impossible to get ahold. Even Forest who works for her said the same thing when we asked him to help us troubleshoot the faulty system. They scratched their heads wondering how to add more power to our system and then said to just "disperse" the weak air throughout the home instead of adding more power and a better system to it from the beginning. John is not problem solving either and only repeats the same sentences of what did not help to fix it. We still have a faulty system and are going to go through a 3rd party to fix it ourselves. DO NOT go with these guys. From start to "finish" it's sketchy and NOT good work. Severely disappointed. Anyone in our shoes would've sued them but we're moving on and just want to warn others. Since Total Energy Concepts replaced our very inefficient Trane heat pump with a Geothermal heat pump 10 years ago, it has provided efficient, reliable heating & cooling AND reduced our electric bill by an amazing 25%! They recently completed a check-up and the system is still working perfectly! I would highly recommend Total Energy Concepts to anyone considering replacement of their conventional heat pump with a super-efficient Geothermal system! Get rid of that noisy outdoor fan, that expensive-to-operate back-up heater burning up dollars on cold nights and enjoy dramatically improved heating & cooling while saving money! Our ONLY regret is not installing a Geothermal system sooner! read more

Total Energy Concepts installed a Water Furnace heat pump for us 28 years ago and it has worked flawlessly until yesterday morning. I discovered it wasn't working in the middle of the night and left a service request on their website at 4 AM. At 7:06 AM I got an email saying a tech would come out right away. A few hours later my problem was resolved. The technician, Forrest, was knowledgeable/polite/friendly - just everything someone wants in a situation like this. I can't say enough about how happy I am with this company, from the original install to my emergency request yesterday. Because my unit is nearing its end of life I'm making arrangements with them for the installation of a brand new Water Furnace later this year. These folks are wonderful to work with. read more

Total energy concepts installed a Waterfurnace geo unit for us in 2010. I interviewed 3 different installers, and we're really happy that we chose TEC. It's a family owned business, they take pride in their work, and the quality of work and attention to detail were excellent. I highly recommend them to everyone whenever I talk about how happy we are with our heating/cooling system. It's incredibly efficient - cooling costs us a dollar a day in the summer for a 2800 sq foot house, and heating costs are lowered about 5x or more relative to propane heating. Our house is more comfortable, and it's great for the environment. The upfront cost is significant, but it's a great investment for a home. I would do it again if we ever move to a different home. Service has been great, too - we've had 2 repair/warranty issues in the past 8 years, which TEC didn't charge us to resolve. We live in the Seattle area (apparently TEC does a lot of installs in northwest WA), so sometimes it takes them a little bit of time to get someone out here, but I can't hold that against them. read more

Total Energy Concepts replace our Water Furnace for 3/4 the price of the other Water Furnace certified bidder in the area. They were fast, flawless, and trouble free. Their installer know to warn us about not interfacing with our solar hot water system. Maybe because we're computer savy, our Symphony app has worked fine with our wifi router and we LOVE being able to set the temperature remotely. They seem too good to be true, but they are as good as they appear. read more

These guys are AMAZING!! My system has been up for a couple of weeks now and the heat is so even and steady. I have a BIG house and all the cold areas are gone. John and Forest worked very hard to balance out the existing system and they did the most professional job. I have been sharing this system with all my friends and neighbors and I just would not want to go back to my cold and drafty system. It is quiet and efficient and the amount of hot water I now have is amazing. LOVE LOVE LOVE my new system. read more

Woke up to no heat on the coldest day of the year.. called Dans TopNotch and they definitely were NOT top notch. Said they couldn't get out to see me until 5 days later. I was upset so I asked if there was some other company they could recommend & gave me Total Energy Concepts number..... what a mistake on their part but what a BLESSING for our family. Selma talked me through putting my geo thermal unit into emergency mode, then told me she'd have her guys come help me that day to run a diagnostic test on our unit. Forrest & his 2 guys showed up (snow storm and all) and got my unit back working. I don't even know what to say except the customer service from this company is OFF THE CHAIN.
