Would give 3.5 stars if we could do half stars tbh I hired 4 movers for my 1 bedroom apartment - it took them 6 hours. Before tip this was about $1200 This was the cheapest quote I got and I figured "how different can it be". This is only my second time using movers but I believe they could've done better. Overall: it was fine. The guys are very nice, they took their shoes off for the carpet, they took time and care to wrap up fragile items like tv and glass tables, and I would probably use them again if I had to! Now into the reason for the -1.5 stars The weird part is: they asked me, in the middle of the move, to buy them snacks, coffee, and water - because the move started at 6:15am and they "didn't have time to eat". It's not my responsibility to feed you.... I don't care that the move was early in the morning. Wake up earlier. But I'm ANXIOUS - So I go and spend $50 to get these guys breakfast Then at the end they ask for /pressure you into a tip. Which again, is very weird behavior. I wish I would've taken the $50 breakfast off the tip to be honest. But again: I am anxious and a people pleaser so I gave them each $50 for a total of $200. In my opinion: They did not take time or care to properly reassemble furniture. I had to ask them to clip the sectional couch back together, my bed drawers were put together wrong, we keep finding random screws around the house that got left out of things. Etc And WORST OF ALL They didn't take care or time to read any of the boxes that were labeled. At the end I had to tell them to put the boxes in the rooms that were written, clear as day, on each of them. The boxes with big red fragile stickers were ignored. One guy says "where do you want this" because he things the box is blank, and I turn it over, hear all the glass clattering, and the top of the box is covered in fragile stickers with arrows along the side pointing to keep that side up. Assuming the best in people, I think there was a language barrier and that's maybe why they didn't read the boxes. However, the big red sticker w glass breaking on it should be universal

Prior to the move, I discussed pricing and payment terms directly with the owner/manager and confirmed the agreed-upon amount. However, when the movers arrived, they immediately demanded cash up front and refused to provide any services unless payment was made on the spot. This directly contradicted the prior agreement. After loading the couches, they demanded an additional $100 that had never been disclosed or authorized. The situation felt coercive and inappropriate. In addition to the payment dispute, the movers caused multiple damages: * One of the couches was damaged. * The garage door was damaged. * A component of the security system on the back door was broken. Furthermore, one of the workers raised his voice and yelled at my wife and daughter. This behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. When I contacted the company to request information regarding their insurance coverage for the damages, they refused to provide any details. This company demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect. I strongly advise others to proceed with caution.
