Just had my first appointment here and I am pleased with their service. The girl at the front desk was cool and helpful. I personally like casual environments and where I don't feel bullshit being thrown at me. My last optometry place they were so busy trying to sell me upgrades I didn't go back. When I first came in I showed up on the wrong day but they still saw me. Also I had my wrong insurance name provider and she went out of her way to call and figure it all out and find my insurance. I actually came here on a whim yesterday while getting frozen yogart. I had my daughter and her friend with me and the Dr came out very friendly even with the kids, brought them popcorn and didn't act bothered AT ALL that I had too kids with me. Both the Dr and front desk girl were super pleasant. Also I don't know anything about eye dr stuff but I feel like they had all cutting edge equipment that I didn't have at the last few places I have been. No eye blowing thing. He was very knowledgeable and personable. I felt confident he knew his stuff when it came to eye balls. =D I was looking for a optomerty office that had a good selection of glasses that were in style and they had a good selection and I like the office people didn't follow me around and give me unwanted advise. When I was done she came over gave me her opinion when I asked. She did not try and up sale me just gave me facts and I was able to trust her advise because she didn't try to sale me. So the fiancé was persistent to go back to Dr. Hua even after we relocated- good thing I went with her! I have no insurance coverage and they had a promotion going on! I only paid less than $200 for a contact lens check and I even got a pair of glasses! (It's not those designer frames but heck! This is THE DEAL). Dr. Hua was very patient with me and explained everything. When i came back to pick my glasses up, he checked my eye again and my grade changed. He said he will change my lenses with no extra cost! Great! He even gave me a pair of contacts to wear while waiting for my order. This doctor is very down to earth unlike the optometrists of kaiser and lense crafters who are proud and have the "you owe us your sight" attitude ( and yes I went to these 2 stores when I had coverage and would still pay at least $300 for a cheap frame). Dr. Hua is fantastic! He is always cheerful and his staff shares the same enthusiasm he does. i-Care's customer service is above and beyond and they truly do their best to make appointments easy on their patients. I have been going to i-Care for years and they keep getting better. Dr. Hua recently added more designer brands and started carrying Oakley's again too. But Dr. Hua was recommended to me by s friend and he exceeded all my expectations as an optometrist...the staff is friendly and helpful and the office conveniently located with plenty of parking. I was in the area running errands with my 2 boys and decided to stop in to check if my insurance was in-network. Right away, Dr Hua informed me they were, and had a few slots open for us right then. The service provided by Dr. Hua was superb. Both of my boys are quite young (6 & 7) and one is EXTREMELY afraid of doctors, dentists, etc. Not once did either of them showed fear while at i-Care Optometry. Dr. Hua also explained very thoroughly each procedure to all of us. He even joked around with the boys and provided them with popcorn and a movie while I was getting my eyes exam. When I got home, I had some questions I forgot to ask in person. Not only did Dr. Hua call me back regarding those questions, he also emailed me to reiterate for my records. Dr. Hua is definitely an optometrist who cares about his patients (he's stuck at that location for another 20 years, so he has to...kidding). I just made an appointment for my husband this weekend. Dr. Hua was recommended to me by a family member who also goes to him for eye care. His receptionist was friendly and courteous, and Dr. Hua is a pleasant person and easy to get along with. He did a thorough job of examining my eyes and explaining to me which part of my eyesight each exam evaluated. The ordering of my eyeglasses was prompt and I am enjoying my new prescription. Did you know that Dr. Chang, who is at Family Eye Care is also at i-Care Optometry? I was a bit skeptical after my first visit, but CeCe made such a great impression this time that I may not have to drive across town to get the same excellent care. Dr. Chang is sincerely interested in his patients and remembers things that most acquaintances forget. He truly wants to give excellent care. I mentioned a concern from my last visit and he was quick to respond to the concern and then introduced me to CeCe for my frame selection. She is very personable and put me at ease immediately and helped me pick out the perfect frames and lenses that are warranted for a year. You can't go wrong with this team! read more

I was very happy here with the optometrist Dr. Chang. He was very good. What I wasn't happy about was the staff. They weren't especially friendly or welcoming. I know this isn't the reason you go to a doctor and it shouldn't matter, but somehow it does. I have to say that I was very spoiled by my previous optometrist Dr. Feldman. I went to him for 15 years but he retired a couple years ago. His staff was small but extremely caring and nice whenever I was there. They really went out of their way to be kind. Yesterday I went to pick up the glasses I ordered a month ago (which they said would come in 2-3 weeks), I was never allowed inside the office. (I religiously got my glasses back from Feldman in two weeks.) A girl met me outside and handed the glasses to me. Dr. Feldman's assistants would have sat me down and had me try on the glasses and check them out. This is apparently a Covid protocol thing but I've had both shots and was wearing a triple layered mask. I'm sorry, I just don't feel this is good customer service. They had 4 ladies working in the office and I don't think any of them smiled once. I will now tell you about the good things. They are very strict about the Covid protocols. They have you fill out forms on dry erasible plastic (good), they sanitize the frames after anyone has touched them, you have to knock on the door to get into the office, good selection of glasses. read more

I was referred here by a friend and it was a good thing too because I seriously didn't know which eye doctor to go to. I needed new glasses at that time so when my friend referred me to here, it helped me a lot. It took me a while to write a review. I love the fact that he opens on Sundays, he's got the fancy machines, and lots of choice in style of glasses. Dr. Hua is the most personable intelligent optometrist I have ever seen. He is very honest upfront and will tell you exactly what is best for you. He recommended options for me I never heard from any other doctor before. He always goes out of his way to make you have the best experience possible for each patient he sees. We have tried different optometrists for years but now we can finally settle for the best one we found. Dr Randy is very thorough, friendly, accommodating, flexible and amazingly very knowledgeable. He is great with kids, he takes time to explain his diagnosis and will even tell you his honest opinion about the pair of glasses you pick. Even if you chose a very pricey pair of glasses, if it does not look that great on you, he'd rather you choose something cheaper that will give you the best comfort, fitting and look. If you are somebody who only wants to hear what you want to hear to boost your self-esteem, he won't be the best doctor for you BUT if you appreciate honest input, family-like treatment, don't miss out! The customer service here is horrible. Dr. Randy Hua is sassy and snippy. HE made a huge mistake on the lenses we ordered and instead of apologizing he kept blaming the lab. He took no ownership for HIS mistake. Dr. Randy Hua is arrogant, rude and extremely unprofessional. He doesn't even give his patients an invoice! He is a scammer and all of his frames are at least $100 more expensive than at other Optometrists. He does not offer rush orders and a typical order takes 7-10 business days. In our case, it took 21 days! He does not deserve anyones business because he does not know how to appreciate the few patients he does have. I am shocked and dismayed at how poorly he treated my family. Two thumbs down! read more

What a great experience I had with Dr. Hua and his staff! They make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. They are all knowledgeable and are ready to help with anything you need. Dr. Hua took his time with me explaining everything, helped me learn putting in and taking out contacts. His prices for the glasses and contacts are the best around. I looked online for glasses and contacts and his prices beat all of them! They have a HUGE selection of glasses by so many different manufactures. The possibilities were endless. First time at i-Care today and was very happy with Dr. Hua and his staff! They were wonderful with my toddler who accompanied me (they played a movie for her while we waited) and I learned a lot about my vision as well as how to better care for my contacts. I appreciated his thoroughness, ease of interaction, and the cleanliness of the facility. I feel that he was very knowledgable and accurate with my prescriptions, too. I went to see Dr. Hua today for the first time. My vision is getting to where I need glasses, and my wife loves him so I went to see him. Holy customer service! This was my first time getting any kind of serious eye exam other than reading a chart. Not only did they explain everything, but they were super friendly and very nice to my two year old who was with me. I got my vision checked, glasses ordered, and I could not be happier. Absolutely horrid service - they said the glasses would be ready in 2 weeks. Three weeks later (after constant follow ups from our end!) they claim the glasses are on track and that 3 weeks is the normal duration. Four weeks later, we still don't have the glasses. No proactive phone calls from their end to let us know of the delay. And right now they have no clue when we will get the glasses. Never again! read more

Amazing experience with my 2 year old son! Dr. Hua provided us with i-Care's complimentary screening for him and helped alleviate my concerns that my son was having vision problems! Dr. Hua and his staff are fantastic. The hours are extremely flexible and Dr. Hua is open, honest and funny. No problems at all with my insurance and they have a great selection of frames and sunglasses. There are few optometrists in this world who would openly admit that you don't need glasses.
