While I'm not a huge fan of TLJ, one thing I'm impressed with is their consistency--as a chain they've managed to open coast to coast now in the US and maintain a stable standard, while bringing Asian-style western pastries to many markets that previously didn't have as much exposure. That being said Seattle's not one of those locations that specifically lacked in Asian bakeries, but certainly there was an untapped and growing demand for more, and TLJ was one of the ones to step in and fill the void. This location carries all the basic options and more, their cake menu for pre-order shows the entire range of cakes, something I don't necessarily see in some of the other smaller locations I've been to. Cakes depending on the size will run you about $40-80. Average pastries range from $3-8. Hot coffee and tea beverages are available though I haven't tried them at this location, and also some chilled drinks and desserts. This visit out of the purchase I tried the spinach cheese pastry which was a'ight but could've use a bit more filling and the Mont Blanc bread with was kinda like croissant dough baked in a loaf--lovely, flaky with a slight crisp and sweet brush of sugar on the outside. My co-purchasers got more of the whipped cream-filled pastries which weren't really my thing. Like other Asian bakeries they provide trays and tongs for self-service bread and pastry selection, then bring it up to the counter to pay. popped in to tous les jours after an hmart run and got the pumpkin spice filled doughnut. doughnut was alright, filling a little bit sour? unfortunately service was abominable. we stood at the check out counter waiting for someone to help us pay our bill, and just got stared at by at least three employees. they basically just turned their back on us and we stood there for a few minutes. we had to prompt them to help us and still waited even after asking. not hospitable or welcoming at all. very disappointed!! read more

I'm not sure how I felt about this whole experience. I had a few people comment that Tous Les Jours cakes are really good... I even tried a bite once. So for my husband's birthday I thought I would make the trip out to get him a TLJ cake. I called the afternoon before to check if I needed to make an order prior or I can pick up one in the display (usually what I do at bakeries). Just in case I drove all the way to Bellevue and didn't have any available, figured it was best to call. The lady barely spoke English and I tried to confirm over and over with her what I was ordering. She said my first choice wasn't available because they didn't have the ingredients (which took me a whole 5 minutes to understand in the first place this is what she was trying to tell me) so then I said, well mango would be second and I'd be happy with either or. Initial pick up time was 2pm. Then she called back to ask if 3pm was ok, I said ok. Then she said 3:30 ok? I said sure. Then she pushed to 4pm and I'm like that's fine. So I came to pick it up today, the cake was pretty and I was told 6" is the smallest. I get rang up $39 before tax. Total was like $42 and some change. I get home, I sort of get the vibe they put in half the effort? I don't know, I also thought they would have written Happy Birthday on it but it could be my fault for not asking them to write it on there. So I love all things mango, the first bite I took of the mango on top, had a good thick layer or either raw or close to skin part of the mango so I had to spit it out. The inside, I could only find one layer of the fluffy cake part (normally most Asian bakeries have 2 layers) I know because I don't like cream so my ratio to cake:cream is distinguishable. This one just felt like 80% cream with some mangoes chopped up. For $42... I don't know how I feel. The worst part? I go in to cut the cake thinking the yellow on the outside was cream decorative! BUT IT'S PLASTIC! When I unwrappped it, straight up just white cream. Also ruined the look of the cake. That I think was just the biggest disappointment leading to this 2 star review. TLDR: paid $42+ for a 6" cake, drove 2.5 hrs roundtrip in traffic, and got a disappointing cake for my husband's birthday. Don't let the pretty appearance deceive you. read more

The cashier was very kind and gave me extra candles! She told me they were selling mostly holiday cakes, so they didn't have some items from their usual menu in stock. My husband went to store to redeem my birthday free slice of cake around 12:40 PM on 11/09/2025. I didn't even know about this birthday offer until I got the email today. The first cashier tried to help, but said the coupon showed as expired. I asked over the phone how that could be since I just got it and never used it. She then asked another lady to check, and that lady spoke to me in a really rude and dismissive way. She said, "It's expired, and I can't fix technical issues," in a very unhelpful tone. Her attitude honestly made me feel like she didn't want to help at all. And the situation really ruined my birthday experience, which was disappointing because I was just trying to enjoy a small treat. $41 sweet potato cake! If it's for a birthday, don't forget to mention it. They will include candles. The cake is pretty with its cloud-like puffs of frosting and sweet potato slices on it. The cake wasn't too sweet which we liked. The texture was soft without being greasy. The mousse part was good too. Not sure if we will return because it was rather expensive. I expected the Sweet potato slices to be crispy but they weren't which is fine. It is a nice change from all the 85c cakes and maybe healthier (wishful thinking). Their knife is cool - had a built in slot for matches! Brilliant! I found this to be more aesthetically pleasing than the bakery in hmart federal way but the cake is way smaller here. I am not sure how much it costs over there since it's been several years. The selection isn't that great. We ended up getting some green tea pastry, croissants, and cake. If you're looking for more selection, head to 85c. However, I think this place is less sweet (which I prefer). I would agree with the other reviews that the customer service skills are less than stellar. The lady behind the counter seemed less than friendly. I think that she may be tired of answering the same questions. I found that the labeling of the cakes and pastries could be improved. It wasn't clear to me what cake was what and how much it is. After a second look, I figured out that there were names of the cake and prices but they were taped around the top of the glass. Some of them had pictures but most were so old that the color wore off. They weren't in any kind of order that I could tell. It didn't seem professional how they set up the display of cakes. At other places, they have clearly printed name and price under each shelf. Some labels tell you if there are nuts or gluten-free..etc. It was confusing, so we had to ask the lady. We've been buying from Hmart & the bakery inside it TLJ for years. Don't know whether the owner of the Hmart & TLJ are the same person or different. Never had any complaints with Hmart employees but the lady at the bakery, looks like she's the owner is always rude. She is so arrogant. Whenever she's there, she behaves as if she's obliging us by selling the stuff. In this economy people are buying your expensive stuff, you should be thankful. She very rudely told us today that we can't get the Hmart cart inside TLJ. There's a way to tell something. You can politely ask someone that please don't bring the cart in. I have been here many times during the past 2 years and the customer service gets worse and worse. The pastries and cake are mediocre-- my favourite is their mango cake-- but I keep coming back because it's comfort Asian pastries and there aren't too many around. However, this time around I called on Wednesday to order a mango cake for Sunday. They told me that there were lots of cake in stock and I could just go and pick one up whenever. So today I drove all the way there to pick up a cake from their selection and they told me there were no cakes available because "the person who makes their cake is out right now". They had a few old cakes on display but they did not look fresh at all. This was an hour total drive for me there and back and it could've been all resolved if they would just take my order in when I had called a few days prior. It's truly frustrating. I just love the fluffy donuts with airy custard (or chocolate). And by the check out they have these twisted donut with cream cheese and custard, I believe, and they are all awesome! I also love that it's basically the same donuts as some other places where you have to wait in long line for and pay more for it. This is more of a 3.5 Stars review. Things didn't stand out enough to bump it up to 4 Stars yet. Maybe a future update. I've been to this Tous Les Jours several times now. Usually, it's later in the day so selections are typically moderate or downright slim pickings. That's on me, not on them. It might be for this reason that nothing we've bought thus far has been awe-inspiring. It's usually yeah-that's-pretty-good, not oh-wow-what-is-that-need-to-get-it-again. Because of this, I can't hardly remember what pastries I have had, and certainly don't ask me to name any. Forgettable pastries, yum (said sarcastically). Having said that, the pastries aren't bad, as I've returned multiple times. Thus far, I've had mostly pastries, none of the breads nor the cakes. I've heard good things about the cakes, so maybe one of these days. Having said all that, I recently bought some pastries that was memorable enough for me to finally write a Yelp review. Their croquettes. I bought all 3 flavors that they were selling - Classic, Kimchee, and Curry. I really like savory pastries, and they can be hard to find so I was excited to try these. All in all, I like the quality of the bread itself which is crispy, flavorful, with bits of bread crumbs (I think) that adds a lot of texture. The flavor of each was not as distinctive. I liked the classic the most. The curry was crazy greasy; just picking up the bagged pastry in the store left my fingers greasy. They handed me a bunch of napkins to wipe my hand. The kimchee was pretty good too, but the flavor didn't stand out. I would still buy it though if they are out of the classic. A note about the service. A few reviews mentioned aloofness. I agree, especially when I encounter one of the Korean ladies (might be the owner?). It's much better when it's one of the younger staff that's helping me. That's my tip. ;) read more

Located inside H-Mart (Bellevue), a Korean supermarket (which is probably why it is unknown to more customers since it is at a corner), "Tous Les Jours" sounds like a French brand and is actually closer to Asian style (or "Western" style in China but not found familiar at American bakery store). Competitive to larger merchandising branch (e.g. 85 degree), it is a very small store. For years, the biscuits, bread, and coffee/green tea rolls are mostly a family can pick up from its shelf area. I ordered 3 cakes for a birthday party - serving around 30-40 people. At pickup, they were very confused and they did not have a record. Extremely lucky the three cakes happened to be on display but unreliable. The cakes are good and overall it's our go-to place since we like the taste. There was one instance that there was mold on the blackberries on the cloud cake. If you order from them be extra cautious on confirming order and check the quality of the cake. Really disappointed with my experience here today. Decided to come here for a birthday cake because we liked the mango blueberry cake we got earlier this month. My daughter pointed out that a cake was 20% off, and we thought it looked good, so we picked it. The 20% off sign was clearly placed in front of this cake. I told the employee (I will call employee #1) that I would like that chocolate cake, and saw her remove the cake along with the 20% off sign. We picked a few items from the store and when it was time to check out, the cake was not discounted. When I asked if she was going to take 20% off, she acted surprised and said, oh, this cake can't be 20% off, it was made today! Another employee (employee #2) who was also behind the counter also was surprised and went to look at the display, asking "where is the sign?" Well, the sign was removed by the employee #1, which I took as an acknowledgement that she knew this cake was 20% off. Employee #1 wondered, "maybe the sign was put in front of another cake." No, it was clearly in front of this cake. If it was not clearly in front of the cake, why was the sign removed along with the cake? Employee #1 then got out her phone to show me pictures of the display, supposedly taken earlier today, to show that the cake was not there earlier. It all boils down to a matter of principle. Who cares about the actual price of the cake, which was not even displayed to begin with. I didn't come here to buy a cheap cake, nor was I planning to buy a discounted cake. The cake was marked as discounted, and then when it was time to purchase it, it was basically a bait and switch. Nobody was held accountable or owned up to the mistake. If you can't really trust a business when it comes to making purchases, good luck keeping customers. read more

I stoped by this bakery after shopping at H-mart. It is shop in shop so easy to go but it has been a while for breads. Sweet Cream Twisted Donut is always good. MACARON REVIEW ONLY! I am obsessed with Macarons and am on a personal journey to try every offering on the east side. I have my two favorite places but I had to try Tous Les Jours because they are very famous in Korea and are known for having put a true French bakery out of business, or something (husband told me). Anyways, they have a small location inside of H Mart in Bellevue. Their Macarons caught my eye. They were on the pricier side as I don't like to pay more than $2 per Macaron (the average is anywhere from $1.50-$2.00) but $2.50-$2.75 is really pushing it for me. Due to that, I expect them to taste like perfection. These didn't. They were alright, nice texture on most (a couple were clearly older and got too dry and crumbly) but what was lacking was a more intense flavor. The best by far was the green tea. It actually tasted like matcha and that is a hard flavor to find. I would probably purchase that one again. Otherwise, I'll stick to my favorites. read more

Tous Les Jours is an international bakery from South Korea, which specializes in Asian, French and American baked goods and desserts. The Bellevue location is based in H-Mart, and I remember seeing a Tous Les Jours when I was in South Korea last fall, so decided to check it out. The space is small inside; but with that said, they make very good use of it, offering a variety of several, different items. There were baked goods already pre-packaged, some baked goods that you can help yourself to and bag yourself like the donuts, and of course, the cakes and tarts in the display case. When I inquired about getting a tiramisu slice for my boyfriend, which they didn't have any in display, but saw the sign for, the employee was able to get a slice from the back and package it in a box. She even mentioned that they do tiramisu cakes that take an hour to make. Good to know for bae's birthday! For myself I bought a chocolate hazelnut pastry and thought it was pretty good. Nothing spectacular nor anything I'd crave again, but it was tasty and the custard in the pastry was nice and light. I just wished there had been more hazelnuts on the pastry, since it made such a great flavor with the chocolate powder on top, just like Nutella! I'm glad I checked out Tous Les Jours and can see why it was so popular when I walked by the one in South Korea. Anytime I'm at H-Mart I'll most likely pay a visit, just to see what new baked items and desserts they have, especially since it's so conveniently close to where I live. read more

The pastries are as flaky and delicious as you'll find from other TLJ locations, I'd definitely recommend getting ones filled with milk / cream / custard style fillings as those are really the best specialty (they are alright in standard chocolate / nut style pastries, but there are better options). read more

OMG heaven? I walked into Hmart and couldn't wait to make my way to the case! The cakes are beautiful and the pastries are so tasty. My husband got the blueberry tart. My husband also got this hot dog pastry that he really enjoyed. The milk bread loaf I bought was exactly what I wanted.
