Avengers Assemble! Walking into this place feels like entering the throne room of Asgard... it is just so bright and shiny (but we didn't need to cross the rainbow Bifrost Bridge with Heimdal's permission . The location is right on the corner and has these massive tall ceilings and windows that give it serious Stark Tower architecture vibes (posh, butnot oger the top). The white color scheme makes it feel super open and airy. definitely not cramped like the Quantum Realm lol. They have an excellent setup for chilling. Plenty of indoor seating but the outdoor area is the real win. It feels peaceful... kinda like Thanos's Garden at the start of Endgame. you know, just relaxing with a grateful universe. A great spot to sit. The selection is vat. It's like the Multiverse of Madness in there... just endless variants of pastries and cakes. Service is great too, the staff has that friendly neighborhood Spider-Man energy. Super nice and helpfull. Also... parking is easy (plenty of room to land the Quinjet) And they are open till 9 PM?? My mother's friend bought the taro cream loaf and we just had to stop by and get it but we went late because I was working but anyways don't go before they close or towards the time they close because they don't have much in the bakery . After grocery shopping in the same plaza, decided to cool down here as I thought it was nice they had a $1 off drink if you check in. (I remembered because Yelp sent out an email blast to highlight current places with check in deals a week or two ago, where this TLJ location was included) A dollar really isn't much nowadays with inflation, but still thought I'd come by to give the store some business and redeem that dollar. Haha. Ordered two drinks and some bread, then showed the cashier that I checked in to redeem the offer. He looked at my phone then scratched his head, asking the gal next to him saying he's never seen this before. The gal shrugged saying she has never seen it either, so he proceeds to go off to the back to ask the manager. A few minutes later, he comes back saying the check in offer is invalid. I thought it was strange to get denied of $1 off and for making it seem like I was at fault for redeeming an offer that was being displayed on their Yelp page. A better customer experience would have been to honor the offer this one time since it's their responsibility to manage their yelp offers and/or be more apologetic instead of looking like they've never heard of a Yelp check-in. Anyways, after the mini fiasco, finally sat down only to find their AC was not very strong in this 100+ degree weather day. It was very musty and smelled kind of bad (probably because of the heat combined with their poor air circulation). Overall, not a good experience. I never get anything because I felt the staff there have a staring problem. The kind that makes people feel uncomfortable. After hearing how yummy the green tea bread was, I decided to give it a try. I am glad I chose this location. This place is huge hahha I was filled with excitement when seeing all the yummy pastries. I am not sure about other locations, but this one had fresh bread outta the oven. I went to every section to see what they offered. So many lol If my focus was not on the green tea bread, I wouldn't be able to decide on what to get. Probably get one of each of everything lol jk not really. At first, I didn't see the green tea bread because I didn't know that this location offered the whole loaf. After I saw it, I wasn't sure if it was the right one. I was hesitant but got it anyway since it was the only green tea bread avail. She was right ay...the green tea bread was so good. The buttercream made it even better. It wasn't too sweet. Imo, it had green tea flavor as well, not just reg buttercream lol I enjoy eating it while sipping on the ube latte. Ube latte actually had ube flavor in it. It wasn't too sweet. It was the perfect cup of latte. Wish I got a large instead of a small. I also got the raisin bread. The staff was nice enough to allow me to buy the one that just came out of the oven. However, they couldn't slice it because it was too hot. Instead of the bag, they placed the bread in the box so it could chill. I tried the bread while it was hot. It was so fluffy and chewy. The cool part is hearing your name echo through the atrium too. And you're gonna want that type of service too, especially since most of the items here are more than what you would get at typical asian bakery spots and drinkeries! I have been here a few times and it's usually been a quick stop to pick up some pastries, so I've never thought of leaving a review. However, because of my many short visits, I realized something about the staff here. Although I have not had a bad experience or have had anyone be rude, I notice the staff here are pretty robotic. I don't feel any type of personable outwardness. It's what can I get you and the total is... Not that, that is bad, but I don't feel any friendliness. They are polite. Maybe that's why I just come in, get what I need and go. I don't feel welcomed or the reason to stay longer. The reason I came for on this visit was to try the cloud cake. It was highly recommended that I try it. The one thing I have noticed about Tous Les Jours is that most of their items run a bit more expensive than their competitors. Came in three times in a week since it was convenient with ample parking and very close to where we were staying. The first visit was great. Service was good, there was a good selection of pastries and pre-made sandwiches to grab and go, and the place was bright and clean. The tuna sandwich, egg sandwich, caprese sandwich, club sandwich, ham and cheese croissant were all good. Fave was the Portuguese egg tart. The summer breeze drinks were refreshing. Unfortunately, the next couple of visits were a bit disappointing. We came in about the same time as the first visit and the place was not as busy. There were hardly any sandwiches to choose from around 1:00pm. Service got a bit slower and slower. At the last visit, my drink took a long time. I stood there watching how the two barista (per se) were just playing around while making the drinks. It literally took 15 seconds to pick up one piece of frozen mango chunk to garnish the drink!!! My warmed up sandwiches came out faster than that drink! I want to be back but not sure if it's worth to just drive a few miles down to another similar establishment with better service. It has an extremely clinical feel to the interior ambience. The inside is extremely gorgeous, but parking was packed on a Friday afternoon. I got the salted butter rolls for my mother because she's always craving them. I tried the honey lavender matcha latte at the Fullerton location a while back, and the Cerritos version tastes sweeter. Maybe it's the packaging, but I prefer the Fullerton version. I feel like the plastic lid is the only thing I'm tasting... It's very clean inside, and prices are reasonable. I guess I would come back, but I think the customer service could be a bit improved. This asian-french bakery has the best pastry breads. Every pastry that I tried so far is so good. I saw they also had online ordering available on their website. It was my first time ordering online for pickup and by the time I arrived, I got a message notification from the app that my order got cancelled due to stock availability. When I went to the cashier and told them my order got cancelled, he didn't know the reason why it got cancelled and they never got my order. The pastries I ordered were luckily still available inside the cafe, so I just picked them from the pastry aisles and made my purchase. Great coffee and bakery. One of the best looking restaurants. Large and bright with a lot of natural lighting. The only issue I have is with the coffee ordering. When you order a drink they don't provide a number and they don't announce a number so people grab the drink they first call out. Even if you ordered first you might end up getting it last. Not a deal breaker but why can't they be more organized and provide a number. They should take notes from Starbucks with their tv screen that shows when your ordering is being prepared and ready. read more

Hubby says as we walked in, it feels like 85° here (the bakery). You walk in, get a tray & pick your goodies. Got: we need to ski, sweet potato pie, milk, cream, bread, sweet potato soboro, premium, Castella, green tea cream cake, and four beverage, Ube coconut yogur-tea. It all totalled $33. Had to try the green tea cream cake....oh my, heavenly! It's like biting into a fluffy, yummy cloud-the perfect sweetness, a hint of green tea.... The ube coconut yogur-tea, refreshing but too sweet for my taste. Service was efficient, you pay at the counter and you're all set. There are tables & chairs available indoors, AC is adequate. Outdoor seating is available as well with shady umbrellas (it's 90 in Cerritos). It looks overcast at times & when the sun peeks out, it's hella hot! It was my first time going here and probably my last. I went in after looking at pictures of the pastries and the coffees and thought I'd give it a try. I bought a cake for a work function and everyone there first of all looked miserable . It was morning. No one said good morning or greeted anyone . I don't know if it's in Asian thing because we are known to be very stoic. But it's not a good first impression, and I've been to other Asian bakeries and have been greeted happily for my business. This is my sons favorite cake so far for 2 years already. This is my first time going to this private location. This location is very big. This location almost has everything on the menu listed on their website (Be sure to call in advance if they have your desired products available.) Their service is very prompt and professional. I highly recommend pre-ordering your cake here well in advance (at least 3 days or more, depending on the cake). There were a few occasions when I pre-ordered a round Matcha cake at least one week in advance. Please note they do prompt you to pay on the phone using card if you decide to pre-order a cake. It was ready prior to the selected pick up time. Their cakes are very moist, not watery (compared to their direct competitors), flavorful and not too sweet. This morning, I came by for a quick breakfast to eat their signature red bean bread. Their red bean is gewy, chewy and tastes perfect. The bread itself is so moist, not stale and chewy. I also bought a few more pieces to go. Their ambiance is very impressive with high ceilings, tall windows looking east and it makes it more vibrant with the morning sun. There's plenty of seating whether you're here solo, as a pair or group. I am also fond of the gray chairs and marble tables on the side. The array of breads are a carbaholic heaven or nightmare if you are watching your intake of carbohydrates. Upon entering, you feel the buzzing of bakers turning out pastries and humming of coffee machines creating made to order lattes. The wooden trays are ready for you to grab the bread along the assembly lines -- the classic (check), the flavors you wished other bakeries offered (check-check) and unique breads only to Tous Les Jours (got those, too)! We ordered: (1) Ube Latte (4 of 5) - Nice shade of purple hue, a bit sweet for me, but good. I like it cuz you can taste the nutty ube flavor. (2) Honey Lavender Matcha Latte (3 of 5) - You cannot taste any lavender note so that was a bummer. It's okay. Another factor for the low star, the drink wasn't as piping hot that I would expected for a "hot" drink. The drink was lukewarm. (3) Matcha Loaf (3 of 5) - Very disappointing. Came in for our needed Day fix. Am surprised they had a whole lot of baked goods selections available and they all looked delicious. We even saw some baked pizzas, my husband didn't hesitate to try one but he was worried that he would have to try it cold.
