If you craving unique baked goods you can probably find it here. My craving was Portuguese Pasteis de Nata and to my surprise Tous Les Jours has them and the taste is amazing. They have a lot of options sweet and savory, everything is fresh and cocked to perfection. They also have cakes and macaroons, hot and cold drinks, oyster oven to warm your food. I stopped in here a few weekends ago on 9/26; I happened to be walking by and have heard great things about Tous Les Jours! After taking a look at their display case I decided to get some macarons. I had a hard time deciding which ones to choose (there are so many!), and the man working behind the counter was SUCH a big help. He told me his absolute favorites, so I got them all! He was just so friendly, and made stopping in there such a joy. I went home went with the half dozen macrons, and ate them later that night. Let me tell you... these were incredible!! Definitely fresh, not too sweet, and I loved the flavor options. Everything was really unique! These macarons were so good.... that I ate the whole box in one sitting. No shame at all, these things were delish :). I hope to be back to try some of their other options! read more

Dont get me wrong, i love tous les jours. This is the second time I visited since quarantine and I got some of their pastries and a slice of cake. Im giving it a 2 star because when I visited before, it tasted fine but after today's visit, I'm questioning how fresh their quality is. The ham and cheese pastry was super dry inside and there was slight discoloration in the ham. In terms of the cake, it was so dry and hard that when I was try to fork the tip, the middle of the bread broke (photo attached). The strawberries were dry, dark and super sour that I ended up taking all the strawberries out of this cake. I'd give it a one star, but since it was pretty good the first time, i hope their quality improves admist this chaos. read more

Came here in the afternoon around 2PM and it was relatively quiet inside. I've been to a couple of other Tous Les Jours and in comparison this place is very clean, well kept, and organized. If you see something that looks good, you really can't go wrong! This is a nice place to pick up a pastry and/ or drink and just chill for a little while or go with a friend and have a chat in a Parisian cafe like setting. I wish the labels were maybe a little more descriptive. I picked up a cream bun thinking it'd be like some of their other cream puffs with thick cream inside, but this one had more of a whip cream with artificial sweetener like flavor which I had not anticipated. read more

Their Kimchee croquettes have to be one of the best I've ever had...coming from miami! These were bomb! Large, filling...a crunch on the outside and a slightly salty, chopped up kimchee inside. Yes! I could just eat these! Their cakes are divine...the blueberry yogurt cake...the frosting which seems to be whipped yogurt will make anyone a fan. The thing I liked least was the chestnut bread. I love that Tous Les Jours is in the Wicker Park neighborhood! There are other locations in the suburbs and in Chinatown, but now the one on Division is close to my home. I can swing by on foot while walking the dog and pick up a pastry or two. Their pastries are ~$3. What I like to do is grab coffee at Philz and then pick up some pastries at TLJ. Their baked goods are cheaper and I prefer to pair a lighter, savory breakfast (like TLJ's ham & cheese croissant) to a heavy Philz bagel or dense scone which also sets you back $5/6. On special occasions, I like to pick up cake slices for a birthday or gathering. They have whole cakes, but I prefer to slices because you can choose different flavors like matcha, strawberry, ganache mousse, chocolate cream, tiramisu, and cheesecake. They serve espresso drinks and while initially skeptical, I had their pumpkin spice latté and it was really good. Currently there is a check-in deal for a free small coffee with a $4 purchase. It's more of a pick-up spot to me than a café where you linger in the space, but... their croissants, sweet potato pie, pain au chocolat, croque monsieur, and milk bread... it's myriad of all the best things under one roof. Very cute cafe with lots of treats - both sweet and savory, in addition to good coffee. They have a toaster oven so you can heat up the treats best served warm if you dine in. Zero star. First of all when I put in the order for this cake I specifically asked if they provide candles, they said yes. So we didn't go buy candles. On the day of pick up, they wrapped the cake up in a box and my husband asked to be sure did you put in candles, the guy said yes; guess what? NO CANDLES!!! Why do you tell customers you put in the candles and turned out you didn't?! Do you know how it completely ruins someone's birthday?! Also , the cake is extremely small. Bonsoir tout le monde ! First off I gave this place a two star because originally it was going to be one, but the kids said he just started. However not only did the kid not possess any knowledge of coffee, he did possess a bad attitude ! His supervisor wasn't any better! He acted like he couldn't hear me, and was being very nonchalant, like I was putting him out. This place could use new employees, as I believe it has a lot of potential. The attitudes stewed from me speaking French to the kid, I even said " merci " at the end, and that made it clear to me that he hated that. I'm disappointed that a French named and themed café isn't French friendly, nor do they try to cater to any language needs. Finally, the coffee was absolutely terrible. Me and my friend came upon this gem of a place after brunch. I ordered mango milk tea with bursting passion fruit bobos. We tried the lavender macaroons which had a beautiful flavor and smell of lavender with fresh lavender on top of the macaroons. We also tried the almond croissant which was the best croissant I've ever had. It was soft, chewy, moist and slightly crunchy with thin slivers of almonds on top and lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar. They had a lot of other cool thing I definitely want to go back and try. They had nice outdoor seating with heated lamps. They also have a little window if you want to wait outside for your order that they will bring out to you. I love this place a little too much. Everything we get from here is delicious. What I love most about the Korean pastries is that they are lighter and not as sweet. Most of the frostings that you find in the donuts or cakes are a meld between traditional frosting and whipped cream. It's so fluffy and just the right level of sweet. All the savory pastries are delicious but we're big fans of the Kimchi Croquette and the Flower Sausage Pastry. I don't have any photos of the Melon Bun but that's also another big favorite. Sounds weird to have Honeydew in a pastry but once you try it you will want it again and again. The location is right in the heart of Wicker Park which makes it a nice place to stop while you roam around Division and the surrounding neighborhood. The owner is almost always there. I think I've only been once when he wasn't there. He's incredibly nice and hard working; his staff is great and seem to really like him. I'm very impressed with this bakery and cannot recommend it enough. Also, they have all the alternative milks for their drinks so just FYI if that's something that's important to you. I've never been disappointed in anything I've purchased from TLJ so have fun and try something new every time! read more

Five stars consistently in food and service. Stumbled upon this place when my sister was in town and heard a friend rave about it before so I knew it'd be worth the try. This is one of those places that makes you forget how good it is until you have it agin if you know what I mean. I'm not going to say I absolutely love everything I've had, but, I'll mention my favorites. Their croque madam! Yum! Takes me right back to Paris. I don't know what it is, but it's such a special tasty combination and I love that TLJ gives you can option to warm it up. One time, we even added an egg and DOUBLE YUM! The egg could've been cooked slightly longer but wow was it a delicious addition overall. When the weather is nice, we like to walk over there after grabbing coffee from Philz. However, my boyfriend ordered the banana strawberry smoothie and it was 10/10. Another savory pastry I really like from here is the sausage roll. It has a slightly sweet taste to it and it's the perfect balance of sweet & savory (my favorite way to eat breakfast!). Enjoy! read more

My friend recommended this place and we ended up stopping there for breakfast. Let's just say.. Food and service is 100%! I love the self serve n pay! They have trays and tongs for sanitary purposes which is a plus! (Most places only use napkins) The pastry was delicious. We got a variety and not one pastry went unliked! YOU'RE DANGEROUS... for my wallet & my diet! I can't help myself when it comes to eating almond croissants or pronouncing them wrong. Anyway, after having tried to find bakeries nearby my apartment that sells them, I finally found Tous Les Jours... and boy is it close. I came here on a weekday evening and they had seating open in the patio. I think they had some chairs inside as well if I'm not wrong, but the street is so pretty & bustling that you'd want to sit out. I got their fruit & cream cake slice & almond croissant. I also tasted their chocolate croissant & chocolate cake slice. Everything was delicious and fit perfectly for a little evening treat. They have so many goodies...both savory and sweet. The worst decisions I have made the 1.5 years I have lived in Chicago is ordering cakes from this place. Last year, I had ordered a birthday cake a few days ahead. When I arrived on the pick-up day, they told me they forgot to make mine, but I could wait for the next one and it would be a different flavor. So I waited about 1.5 hours at the store, because I didn't want the birthday boy to be cakeless. Last week, I gave them another chance and ordered a mango cake (shown in the picture) at least 5 days in advance. And here is what I got: a cake that looks nothing like the picture and has mushy/off color mango on the top. There was also some kind of clear liquid leaking from the mango and has spread onto the cake (super gross). They told me the liquid is on there because they had to sugar glaze the mangos to prevent browning (well, then just sugar glaze the mango, NOT the cake). And that my cake didn't look like the picture because they had to write "Happy Birthday" on there. Wow..... I returned the cake, but apparently, they cannot do a refund without the store owner/manager being there. Supposedly, the owner will be in the next day to do the refund. But till this day, I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY REFUND AND NO ONE HAS CALLED ME TO ENSURE. I am very upset and will not be coming here ever again. read more

For a bakery that advertises their coffee and drink so much do not get any drinks from here. I ordered an iced coffee with vanilla and an iced Matcha with vanilla. My iced coffee taste like water. And my Matcha taste like watered milk. I could not taste any of the Matcha and in both drinks I could not taste any of the vanilla. I asked for another pump of vanilla and the barista told the other barista. There's already three pumps in there. I've been chimed in and said that I apologize. I just could not taste any of the vanilla maybe because the drinks were 3/4 water. Total came out to $13 I had to throw the Matcha away. read more
