Wonderful!! The smells and sights are a delight. This French bakery is a nice addition to the neighborhood. I stopped by and bough some rolls and macrons to go. I would have loved to stay as they have a cafe and lunch items too. I saw some milk cake that looked delicious. The rolls were tasty too. My daughter loved the birthday cake macron. I've been wanting to go to this place for a while since they opened so I'm so glad I got to come here today as a bit of a late birthday celebration. When you first come in, there are trays to the left of the door if you're facing into the store and you can pick up a tray, parchment paper and tongs before going through the bakery area and picking out your treats. The front area is for the fresh baked pastries, and then there's a hot cabinet where my hot dog croissant was in and a fridge area with some drinks and cold sandwiches. At the front counter are the cakes and that's also where you can order your custom drinks. I got a cheddar jalapeño croissant, hot dog croissant, yogurt raspberry danish, and a ham and cheese sandwich that were all absolutely delicious. My favorite was probably the cheddar jalapeño croissant it was perfectly light and fluffy. To drink I ordered a 16oz ube latte and it was amazing. Most of the drinks come in hot or iced and in various sizes from 12-20oz. My friend got the matcha latte and macaroons and also loved them. The staff was also super nice! The inside was really cute and the seats are comfortable. When you walk in all of the seating is to the right. Theres a long booth on the right wall with tables, some free standing tables in the middle and then some fancy chairs with side tables. It was easy to walk through even though it was crowded. Some people did end up having to wait to find a seat. It can be crowded since it's so new and popular, but usually the table turnover wait time is pretty good in my opinion. There weren't really that many people who had to wait for seats when we went around 2pm. I've also ordered the green tea cloud cake from here before and that is also an amazingly light fluffy and moist cake absolutely delicious. It is a little expensive price wise, but I think it's worth it for the quality of food and drinks you're getting. read more

We stopped in quickly after lunch on Sunday, and were able to place our order almost immediately. There were quite a few tables opened as well. Some of their pastries were sold out. I ended up getting the mango cloud cake slice to go. It was light and fluffy like most Asian cakes. I really liked that there were actual mango slices in the cake. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon around 1 PM. I'd been trying to check this place out but the line was always so long. I finally had a chance to check it out. The concept is cool, but unfortunately they were sold out of a good amount of items. I did try some things that were in stock. Beautiful selection of well crafted pastries. Excellent service by their knowledgeable staff. We appreciated all the allergen tags as we have a peanut allergy in our family and it's hard to navigate bakeries. Our favorites were the spinach and feta danish, strawberry croissant & coffee bun. Really excited that this bakery opened a location in Pittsburgh! I came in around 3 on a weekend, so they were sold out of a lot of stuff at this point in the day. We ordered milk cream bread, cheesecake, yuzu pie, croissant, and some lattes. Overall, the pastries were really good! I am excited to come back and try their cakes and sold out items. The bakery was clean kept with a decent amount of seating. However, when my party ordered our drinks, they ended up mishearing our three orders and we ended up with slightly different coffees than intended. Since this is a new location, I'm sure the staff are still finding their footing, so I won't fault them too much for this since this was ultimately a good experience! read more

I've been trying to go to this place for weeks and wish I came earlier! This place has an amazing selection of asian European (French) fusion style pastries. I haven't seen these types of pastries since I lived in Japan and will be coming back here a LOT more! The service was great and the wait wasn't long. The space is big and has a fresh modern look to it. I'd recommend coming with someone that would split items with you since there are many great options and to pick only one or two is difficult. I personally would recommend the Portuguese egg tarts (pasteis de nata) but that's because I grew up eating them. Macaroons: I got 6 different flavors and they were so flavorful and actually tasted like the flavor they were haha! Sometimes they run out of the more popular pastries by noon, probably because it's still so new, so business is booming. They restock every now and then though. Loved the strawberry croissant, the whipped cream was perfect! I've had the Honey Lavender Latte and the Ube Latte, and they were both delicious, but they are both very, very sweet. I really want to love this place so I kept going back hoping that things will change. First, I will say that the pastries are delicious and each time I've been there I've purchased about $50 in pastries for our overnight guest so I've had a variety of items and they have all been so flaky, fresh, and tasty. I have two problems with this place. 1. The people who work there just aren't that nice. They never say hi when I walk in and when I ask questions they are usually very short and unapologetic. 2. They have very few pastries to choose from and oftentimes they don't have what I would imagine would be the most popular items (regular croissants for example). I do arrive early and most reviews say they sell out by noon so I'm not exactly sure when the sweet spot is for them- but I feel as a bakery at 8:30 am they should have more options. The glass cases are usually around 30% full when I get there. I have decided that I won't be returning but I hope they get it together because there is so much potential. read more

I have never been disappointed by any of them, the best pastries, delicious coffees, polite staff, clean stores. When I tell you I will always visit a Tous Les Jours when I see one I'm serious.
