It was outstanding and easily one of the better versions I've had in quite some time. My partner ordered one of the entrée salads, which looked fresh, generous, and every bit as satisfying as my fish and chips. I paired the fish and chips with a Smithwick's Irish Red Ale. The fish was crisp, flaky, and satisfying--the kind of pub meal that's hard to improve on. The service added just as much to the experience as the food. Our waitress was also tending bar and happily shared the story behind both the historic inn and the restaurant's unusual name. As we learned, "Onion" is actually an affectionate nickname for Bermudians, a nod to the island's once-famous onion exports. Since the owner is half Bermudan, the name fits perfectly. She was one part bartender, one part server, and one part docent, and it made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Onions is a little quirky in all the right ways, with good food, welcoming people, and a setting that feels like it has stories to tell. This Stevens Mill location offers a limited menu of tacos, quesadillas, rice bowls, and nachos with choices of chicken, pulled pork & brisket, plus chips & salsa. I stopped by Kettlehead Brewing Stevens Mill recently and there was trivia going on when I arrived here. For takeout, I ordered a Pulled Pork Nachos ($12 plus tax) and listened to the trivia Q&A as I waited learning about more about US geography. The good sized nachos were boxed and ready to go in about 12 minutes. The nachos were comprised of crispy nacho chips loaded with tender roasted pulled pork, tomato salsa, melted cheese, mixed veggies, and a chipotle crema sauce, very well made and tasty. I will definitely get some tacos from this Kettlehead on my next visit!

The decor is all very tasteful and clean; everything has a smooth, sleek, well-maintained look that makes you feel like you're in a place where details matter. If I were looking for a venue to book a wedding rehearsal dinner or a business lunch, this would be my first choice of all the restaurants within an easy drive to where I live. The second thing I noticed was that the staff was friendly, attentive, and quickly noticed whenever our drinks needed a refill. That seems like a small thing, but to me, it's one of the indicators of employees that take their jobs seriously versus those who do the bare minimum. The Junction is absolutely the type of place where everyone there takes genuine pride in what they do, and it shows. But on to the food... I'm a sucker for Brussels sprouts, so I had the try the Crispy Brussels on the appetizer menu. They were fantastic, and I will absolutely get them the next time we go.
