I've been eating at Tower Burger for many years, and their food is excellent. The burgers are tasty, the fries portions generous, and they almost always cook them the way I order. I highly recommend their food. It's not gourmet burger, just a good solid dependable burger. I've never really like their shakes however, always found them too thin and watery, even though they use Mitchell's Ice Cream. Mitchell's will not produce a thin shake unless you use a lot of milk, but that didn't explain the watery aspect. Too much milk gets you a thin creamy shake. Well the other day I got a shake and discovered a lot of crushed ice in it, so I figured they must be using the ice as filler, which explains the watery taste and lack of creaminess. So it's almost like a shake meets a slurpee. The shakes aren't cheap, and other places don't do this, so hopefully they will change this recipe. Still I heartily recommend the burgers, but be aware of the shake situation. read more

An otherwise good burger seasoned to defection. They "can't" (read: won't) make a burger without their seasoning, which is very heavy on smoke flavoring. For those who don't know that's basically ashes and garlic. I'm leaving this review because ultimately this makes it something I cannot eat. I otherwise was eating here two or three times a week because they have a grill and put in the effort but unfortunately this is more or less ruined by the seasoning. It's funny how, growing up, a burger was a burger. Then, a burger became a Burger... and then a BURGER! For me, there is now a three-tier system in discussing burgers. First, we have the 'let's have a simple one' burger which, to some, may include the most popular McD's, BK, Wendy's, Carl's Jr. and... yes, In 'N Out. Next, we have the 'I like a lot of toppings and meaty tasting' burger like Bistro or Custom Burger and, in the old days, Barney's. Last, we have the 'wagyu lovin', does it have truffles or foie?, where's dat beef from' burger. See Umami, Marlowe, and Burger Bar. Yes, this is a neighborhood place. Yes, this is a NON-chain business. Yes, there is little if any wait here. Yes, it is a less than a five minute drive from home. Coming here several times as a "let's get a quick bite" stop, I usually order a burger with their onion rings. They offer a variety of cheeses and topping, including my favorite mushrooms (shrrroooooms!). I've also had their chili cheese fries which are very filling and best shared. The vibe definitely fits the family oriented neighborhoods as you'll often find families with young children (after school sports activities) dining here. Popped in for a burger today. The place is nothing fancy, but it's clean and the workers were friendly. I had the Western Burger with Hickory BBQ sauce and a side of regular fries. It was largely unremarkable. This place is an old school hamburger joint where they don't season the meat or do anything special with the fries. The "Western Burger" was only "Western" because of the hickory sauce. I'm surprised in this modern era with the new, dynamic, and creative menu ideas that this place is locked in 1985 with its lack of flavor profiles. I work nearby and there's not a lot of lunch options in this part of town. I guess when I return, I'll have to bring my own sauces and ingredients to make a basic burger come to life. So Tower Burger. Dependable old Tower Burger. Been going there for years. It was always a decent burger at a decent price. Not anything special. I haven't been since Covid. Went last night 12/14/23 and oh my GAWD! They have stepped up their game. First off the menu is expanded. Secondly the prices are still great, $11.99 for the eponymous Tower Burger, Patty, cheese, bacon, shrooms, onion, lettuce, tomato slice, pickles. This was hands down one of the best burgers I've EVER had! It was perfectly cooked med rare as requested. It was juicy, but not SO juicy as to dissolve the bun. The bun!! Brioche, toasted. Get back to the burger tho. I have paid twice as much for a wagyu or special blend known only to a select few, none come close to this flame grilled beauty. It seems like the place is family owned. Our order was taken immediately. We ordered: 3 pieces fish and chips Tower burger Anchor steam. Fish was Cod, really bland, no flavor. I was really disappointed. It also came with cole slaw which I really didn't care for. Onion rings. 'Nuff said. I'm not even a huge onion ring fan, but man Tower's onion rings had me mentally editing my favorite foods list. In addition to ordering a plate of onion rings, my roomie for the mushroom burger (yuck! I hate mushrooms with a passion) and I got the California burger without sprouts (yum! I love me some avocados!). I asked for my burger to be cooked medium-well, but was disappointed to see it cooked well-done. However, I wasn't willing to make it an issue. This local burger joint is a must-try if you're ever in the Twin Peaks area! I came here a couple of times when I used to work nearby, and their juicy burgers never disappoint! The service is prompt and friendly, and their BLT's are pretty killer too! I'm simple when it comes to my burgers so a cheeseburger would be my go-to here. Bathroom's always clean, the tap water has no metallic aftertaste unlike other places, and the dining area is spacious! Whether you're dining in or in a rush, the staff here is happy to accomodate you! Everything was delicious, altogether 3 cheeseburgers, 2 Hawaiian burgers, onions rings, cheese fries, garlic fries and strawberry and chocolate shakes. Oh almost forgot, fish and chips. All were absolutely delicious and the staff were very cordial and the orders were out within 6-7 minutes. We were the only ones dining in but they did have some called in orders.
