I came here for dinner with family. We waited for about 10 minutes before anyone even offered to help us. The food was not worth the price. We ordered the calamari for an app and it was delicious. Two people in our group ordered the paella, it did not look nearly was good as the waitress made it sound. It was a small portion with the rice or whatever it was, was very over cooked and sticky. It had no seasoning to it and there wasn't even any veggies with it. We also ordered the duck which was pretty good. For dessert, We ordered a cookie dish, the brownie, and something with banana. All three were excellent. I would say this place is great drinks, apps/dessert after work, but I wouldn't come back here for dinner. read more

Had a great experience here. I have been a member of the Cambridge Wine Club so I was anxiously awaiting the opening of this place. I called many weeks in advance for a reservation so we had no problem getting seated when we arrived. You basically have no shot of getting in here without reservations. The place has a really cool vibe. We ordered a bottle of red which was not available that night - bummer. One of the owners happily came over to talk me through some other options that were similar which I thought was great. Now for the food. I ordered the scallops which were AMAZING. I love scallops and order them almost everywhere I go, and these were some of the best. Since they are both smoked and seared the flavor was incredible, and they were cooked perfectly. The cauliflower and sweet potato puree complimented the scallops nicely. My boyfriend had the burger. He also loves burgers and orders them almost everywhere we go. Place looks nice and fresh. But the food/drink is mediocre, at best, and expensive. I've had a few meals here, and even stopped in for just drinks. Disappointed me each time. They are trying to be modern and creative with the menu, but just aren't delivering. Worst of all is the service. For a place with a nice ambiance and very high prices, I expect way more. The ambiance and decor certainly set the tone for this place. Parking can be a pain in the ass depending on when you arrive. There's always vibrant music playing as you come in and almost has a lounge vibe to it. Great downstairs bar with very simple but modern and chic decor. Love that a place like this is local in Morristown. Great bar to come to for happy hour and some apps. I've been here several times and everyone is very friendly. I have usually had good experiences here. For dinner, the food is good. I wouldn't say amazing but it's solid and the ambiance balances that out. There's a dining area downstairs (near the large bar) and another one upstairs. Upstairs there's a service bar and a glassed off dining room which is more quaint. They also have a small outdoor area upstairs, but I haven't sat there so can't really comment further. One time the waitress forgot my drink and when I reminded her she immediately apologized, brought it out, and took it off the tab without me even saying anything. Little things like that do it for me. They clearly value their customers and focus on customer service. Once I had a waiter who was clearly wet behind the ears but was very friendly. So basically this restaurant looks very nice. The interior is actually very surprising. We really enjoyed the vibe. We had a reservation at 930 and got there around 830 so we went to the bar. The bar tenders were great. Probably the high light of the place. The drinks were good and strong. We thought about ordering food at the bar but the hosts kept saying we'd be seated soon. It was 9ish so we asked again and then again said we had to wait till 930. 930 passes then they said we needed to wait more. I honestly believe they forgot about us for some reason. People came in and they were seated immediately. My friend asked one more time and they said they had a reservation canceled so they had room for us. Which I don't believe because once wee got upstairs there were many tables free. We waited over an hour so we were starving and did not want to complain. One thing this place is definitely not vegetarian friendly which is pretty sad for this day of age. Other than salad there's really nothing else I could eat. I ordered the kale and potato gnocchi. Which was okay, had too much cheese for me. So I was still starving when I left. My friends got the burger and they enjoyed it. The restaurant itself is beautiful with very cool decor. But other than that our entire experience at TOWN was lackluster. The service was barely there- no menu suggestion or specials explained. For the price of the entrees we expected top quality meat and fish and everything was just average. This was my first time going to Town and I will DEFINITELY be back. The service was spot on. Our server (I think his name was Gregg?) was super attentive and recommended the most delicious appetizers. He told us to go with the lobster Mac n cheese and coccoli-- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The Mac n cheese was absolutely incredible. It wasn't too thick or rich but also didn't lack any cheese!! Hands down the best lobster Mac n cheese i have had. The coccoli came with delicious cheese and prosciutto and was also incredible. We also got the grilled octopus which was grilled to perfection. Often times grilled octopus ends up being served chewy which is quite repulsive but the chefs cooked this dish to perfection!!! I would 10/10 recommend this restaurant to a friend. I had the absolute best experience at Town Bar & Kitchen. My boyfriend and I wanted to try a new a place in Morristown, and I had heard great things about this place. We were immediately welcomed by friendly hosts. We ordered the Rosemary Bourbon and the Kiwi Kocktail and it was delicious!! The food was AMAZING! In the middle of our meal, the sweet manager, Sajal, brought us two full glasses of french champagne at absolutely no cost. She also continually check up on us throughout our visit to ensure we were okay. Our server Taylor was super sweet and attentive. She knew what we needed before we even asked. This restaurant is newer in town. Two floor space with parking on the rear. The atmosphere is great here, and the space is beautiful. We usually sit at the downstairs bar and come for lunch on the weekends when it isn't overly busy. On busy nights it's tricky to find space at the bar or table service so reservation is often necessary unless you have time to wait. The food is great and their cocktails are strong! Please do yourself a favor and try their Cookie Monster dessert! It's delish. It is pricey but we've always had a nice experience. Visiting from out of town for a wedding, we were looking for a good place to eat. Town Kitchen + Bar fit the bill. The food was over the top killer good. We started with the tuna tartare and Brussels sprouts salad. Entrees were spiced shrimp with saffron risotto and cacio & pepe with a twist- literally twist topped packages of homemade pasta filled with pear & ricotta. Each bit a burst of flavor bringing together the sweetness of the pear and saltiness of the cheese. For dessert we had the brownie pie- brownie batter baked in a miniature black iron skillet topped with chocolate peanut butter ice cream. Yum! All of this served by Nadia in a friendly and personable manner. She was also knowledgeable about the food, wine and spirits offerings. It was tough to give this place 4 stars, when it may deserve 5. The reason that I gave it 4 is because there was a noticeable drop off once they were bought by 40North. I would give it 4.5 stars if allowed. It is still really, really good though and possibly the best overall restaurant in Morristown. 40North removed some of their staple items, like the Town Tonic & Gin, Shrimp Cocktail, Oysters, etc.. They also made some changes on some other fan favorites, like the Tuna Tartar, by either lowering overall portion size or slightly altering it. Everything was still really good, but isn't quite what it was. We went back recently and, alas, they brought back some of their legacy items! The Town T&G is still gone, but most everything had returned. I've eaten here several dozen times and it's honestly been good every time. read more

Went here last night on a Saturday evening. Place was crowded, all reservations taken but we were lucky to find an open high top near the downstairs bar. Really loved the atmosphere, upscale bar downstairs, and really cool seating upstairs, with an outdoor fireplace patio. Drinks were really good, and service was good despite this being the first few days it was open. Food was excellent-- had their lollipop chicken wings and tuna tartare, and we both shared their burger which was AMAZING. In the end we were really happy, and can't wait to go here again. read more

I have been here twice and the food is decent. In the summer, I came for a business dinner, where there was a fixed menu... Looking at the menu now, it appears Town may have a seasonal menu since I can't find any of my dishes. I tried a few appetizers which were pretty disappointing - wings were like mini creamy buffalo with fatty skin and no crisp, empanadas were ok, and the arnachi balls did not have much flavor to it. The steak entree that I ordered medium, was way overcooked and chewy. Several of my colleagues seemed to really enjoy their tuna entree, which I could not find on the menu during my second visit. The salads are pretty good although they do not completely match their description (the salad I had was a lot of arugula and mozzarella) and their fries have potential (mine were stale). The atmosphere of this restaurant is really cool... I ate upstairs both times and sat by the window, which is overall nice, but the temperature in that section is uncontrolled - gets very warm then very cold. Service was friendly, however, water glasses are tiny, empty quickly, and rarely refilled unless you ask. As a business dinner, this was fine... Maybe I would return on my own for lunch or drinks, but prob not for dinner. read more

It's unfortunate because most every component of the sandwich was fine: the bread was great quality, along with the veggies and sauce topping the sandwich. The fries were yummy as well. However the chicken itself was terrible- it tasted like it was days old chicken left sitting in the fridge, and reheated: it was tough, dry, chewy, and completely bland.
