After a being a long time customer and as is probably unhealthy I usually order from here at least once a week. But over the last few months the food is just overpriced and skimpy. Had friends over the other day and my friend made the comment that the steak and cheese grinders from cumbies have more meat on them. (True statement). In the past I have had very good experience. Not so much now. Last weekend we ordered a calzone for lunch. Boy was I surprised! Pretty much no cheese, no ricotta, not much filling at all. I can remember getting excellent food from here. Never had a complaint. Now we just ordered a small pizza, which was very good too bad it was cold, A large Grinder which has no cheese (Doesn't your grinders come with cheese anymore, didn't realize Inhad to request for it), and Mozzarella Sticks. I've read other people's reviews and just want to add my own. I stopped in while I was up visiting family. I went alone and didn't at first feel like I had made a good choice. I ordered an appetizer and a grinder. Although I really wanted the appetizer first it all came out together. At first I was put off by this but you know, things happen. I was pleasantly surprised with the food being so yummy. I could give five stars only because the place feels unwelcoming. I like it...I usually get the spinach pie which is pretty much a spinach calzone and I enjoy it very much. My old lady usually gets a greek salad and buffaque wings and I usually steal some of both. This place rocks. The food is amazing and the service is wonderful. While their pizza is good, their Calzones blow it out of the water. The buffalo chicken one has a wonderful crispiness to it, and looks more like slices of an inside out pizza instead of the giant pastry looking ones you normally see. They are filled to the brim and come with a side of gooey blue cheese. Its cheap and easily feeds me for two meals, whats not to love? Aside from the Calzones, the Burgers, Grinders (Especially the Italian), and seafood platters are wonderful. I also love to get a couple of stuffies when I go, they use a wonderful stuffing that has a nice kick to it, and tastes amazing right out the oven. My wife and I have lived in Richmond for close to 13 years and we frequented the old location of this restaurant when it was located next to Cumberland Farms at least twice a month. When I heard that they bought the old Tim Horton's and would be relocating there, I was happy. But something has changed, alongside the new building, as the food is a hit or miss venture now. Sometimes you get a good meal for the price, while other times, it seems as if they're trying to recoup their costs of relocating by skimping on accompaniments. Tonight, I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and asked for fries to accompany, so there is a two dollar charge to make the burger a platter. With the added Bacon, the cost of my burger was close to $10. When I got home and opened the box, there were exactly nine (9) French Fries in the box. My wife ordered Fish & Chips, and the amount of fries she received was only slightly more in total. She used to get the Buffalo Chicken Salad every time we went here, but she told me after I got home and noticed the lack of fries, that she doesn't get it anymore because it's not as good as it used to be at the old location. The one thing I remember most about the old location was that the owner was almost always there went I went in at peak times. I've now been to the new place three times, and have not seen him once. Don't rest on your laurels, because good faith is fleeting when it comes to return patronage. read more

I ordered the Baked Scallops Special & my wife ordered Fried Clams. I had maybe 3 or 4 scallop pieces & left the rest. Thought they would be Bay Scallops but I think they were pieces of Sea Scallops. The scallops were nice and chewy and I found it easier to try and swallow them whole. After the 3 or 4 I really couldn't take any more. The clams my wife ordered looked good but after wife eat three or four of the clams and had to stop. The clams were soggy and chewy. Haven't had these problems before but suspect it will be a long time before we return again. read more

Nice new building. Unfortunately the food has not improved. I decided to stop going to the old storefront after I found a cooked bug in my pizza. I decided that the new building warranted another try. Very disappointed. When I got the pizza home I couldn't get it separated from the bottom of the box without ripping apart the pizza dough. We moved to Hope Valley in November. We needed to find a good pizza place for every Friday and huge parties that we host through the month. They have not once got our order correct. Very simple request...... can't even be done correctly!!!!! We have tried this place several times and they never get it right. I know they have no respect for paying customers who will not return. Do not go here for pizza or anything else. Food is not up to par. I feel sorry for unsuspected customers who go there because of location of the highway. STAY AWAY. Find another place. read more

I just had a delivery from Town Pizza Two. The calamari was bland and tasteless. There was not a speck of any seasoning in the batter. The fish and chips were undercooked, both the fries which were still cold in the middle and the fish as the breading fell off the fish and I could scrape uncooked flour off of it. I made the switch to Town Pizza 2 when it opened and I've been going there for the past 15 years since! Definitely the best pizza place around, and their new location is extremely clean and makes you feel like you're actually "going out" to dinner without the "going out" prices. Perfect for casual dinners with college friends or where you can take your parents out to dinner for their anniversary. The staff are all very nice and really make sure you have an experience that would make you want to come back. The food is excellent as well and they always have interesting specials to mix it up each week as well. Definitely would recommend giving it a shot you won't be disappointed! read more

The food is OK, but just OK. We usually order from them just because they deliver. However, several times we have gotten the wrong order or our order was cold. My wife and I stopped in on our way back to Connecticut last summer. I had a pepperoni and roasted red pepper pie while my wife had a caramelized onion with roasted garlic. We were amazed at how good our pizzas were. Living close to New Haven, CT which is the "unofficial" Pizza Capitol of the World, we thought that our pizzas compared very favorably to Pepe's or Sally's. We told our waitress to tell the chef, who came into the dinning room to speak to us personally. We plan to go back to Town Pizza Two this coming summer and can't wait. Complete awful experience. I have a milk and egg as well as wheat allergies. I called on a Friday night and asked if there gluten free pizza had any egg or milk and the girl on the phone assured me there wasn't any milk or eggs in the crust. So I proceeded to order a gluten free veggie pizza without cheese. Warned her to be very careful. After I ate I began to feel very sick. I spoke to the manager the next morning and he told me I didn't have an allergic reaction. And it wasn't from his food. He also began to say how all there gluten free crust is free from everything then I asked him to read the label and he told me both milk and eggs were in the gluten free pizza crust. He was extremely rude and unapologetic. He never apologized or offered me my money back. I proceeded to have an allergic reaction for a total of 72 hours. Completely awful with food allergies or customer satisfaction. I will never go back to this place for as long as I live. I am baffled by the ignorance and lack of awareness within this pizza place. I've been a faithful customer for over 2 years , in person/delivery and gave a lot of business to them but anyway as of 2 months ago they decided to stop delivering to Canonchet Cliffs apts., their reason was that a few people bounced a check so they wont deliver to anyone anymore in these apts. To me that is a bad business. I understand not to those people that write bad checks but faithful customers(SMH). I tryed talking to the manger and she was just rude on the phone to me about it. Ordered 2 Fish & Chips on a Friday night as we had not had them in a long time. The price was high $23.75 and quality was low. I know fried fish is normally a bit "greasy" but this was ridiculous. When we removed the food from the "box" you could pour oil from the box. Yuck! Very little fish inside crusty/overcooked and over greasy batter. Fries were greasy and "limp" VERY disappointing. On our way from Newport to NYC we had to stop for a quick bite. Fast food is never our preference, but sometimes necessity is the mother of compromises. We started to head into Wendy's when we noticed Town Pizza Two right next door. We decided to give it a shot and we were not disappointed. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised. The wife just wanted some soup. She tried the New England Clam Chowder which she said was delicious. I ordered the Meat Lasagna. The cheese on it was great. The garlic bread had tons of butter on it, which of course made it delicious. You might want to ask them to scale back the butter, if your watching your caloric intake.
