This spot was pretty delicious! The menu is not big but everything we tried was super good! The tacos were loaded with meat. The carne Asada fries were bomb. We even fried the left overs the next morning added an over easy egg on top and viola! Breakfast was served!

If you're looking to spice up Taco Tuesday, look no further. Tacos are SMACK! First time having this style of tacos with the soup to dip into. Delicious. The staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. Enjoyed the layout of the space, seating area and upstairs dinning. Also with the music playing and open kitchen style, this beats many taco spots. I will recommend this to all my family/friends and I'm returning soon to this fine establishment.

Had the honor to be apart of the grand opening for this amazing restaurant & let me tell you the food, the staff, everything about this place is a vibe!! Love how they're trying to uplift the community & what better way to do that than with food?! Hands down birria tacos & asada fries are probably my favorite items on the menu along with the Cookie Monster from the desert menu. Also love the accent walls/art they have. Definitely a good place to eat if you're in the area!

If you're looking for delicious authentic food you've found the rite place, the spices and salsas that they incorporate into their dishes are so rich in flavor... I had a chance to speak to the owner & he gave me a little background history of all the dishes they would make in Mexico, so it's amazing that he's brought those Recipes over to the Bay Area for us to try! Along with that the customer service is great, they're very helpful and hospitable. From the moment you walk in you can see how much work they've put into it, starting with the food and also the beautiful building! A Big thank you to the management team/ owners for being so kind and taking time to converse with us and share their stories.. they're motivated hard working men that express the love of their culture with the food they make ! Hands down, 5 Stars!!!

I ordered a late night dinner from here and wow it was an experience. The place serves the kind of food that my middle school self would dream up. Almost feels like county fair food in a way. Not the healthiest, but very good! After eating the CBR burrito I basically fell asleep immediately. Didn't eat in store so can't comment on vibes or service! I'd order again but I'd need to be in a "I'm looking for a yummy sloppy meal" mood. read more

Man VS Fries. Baby loves this place. He swears by it. He likes the thought of hot Cheetos in his quesadilla and burrito and he loves fried anything! They have deep fried Oreos. I personally am not a fan.. but I dont dislike their food, I just don't like their sauces.. sauce is everything to me, but the hot Cheetos burrito was good, FRESH. You can't let them hot Cheetos get soggy! It won't hit right. Every time we come there's never a line. Inside is always super clean! Staff is just sitting around on their phones. But they do welcome you in. Parking is very limited! I would recommend anyone to come out and try them if you're in the area but I wouldn't make the drive if you live far. read more

We've been here a few times and every time we get the Quesabirria tacos...And let me tell you, they ‍ delicious! They aren't the run of the mill $2 taco tuesdays where you can throw down 3 to 5 of em (no judgment lol). The portions are large! Usually I'll have 2, on a good day 3. Quality: 5/5 Flavor: 5/5 Portion: 5/5 Value: 5!/5 I always say I want to try the CBR (chicken bacon ranch....how can you go wrong here) or the Hella burrito (hella of everything...again how do you go wrong). Then I order and think stick with the tried and true since the Quesabirria tacos hit the spot. If you're hungry, want a good value and leave with a happy heart, definitely would recommend! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The manager is disgustingly rude and I heard her yell at her employees. The manger is on her phone and goes back to cooking on the grill . Y'all go find a better place. Place needs new management and more attentive employees. Yuck read more

Town was closed/locked. windows and door had white sheets covering the inside. no signs indicated what lies within. no hours posted. notice on door solicits workers in the food industry. website features entrees from Man v. Fries. Beso(coming) and Mac & Mischief (coming). -room for 5 vendors available on a "popup" basis. (East Bay Ex.) limited parking on street. construction is ongoing. not as clundered as last month. read more

Town Popup currently houses Man VS Fries. This is a casual place to grab some food and chill with a few friends. You are able to get tasty items like fries, burritos and even dessert. During this visit ordered the Flamin' Cali Crunch which included Flamin' Hot Cheetos that added the perfect crunch to a classic tostada and Cookie Dough bites for dessert. Each item came with sauce on the side that was cleverly named "I HELLA Love a Side of Queso" and "I HELLA Love Chocolate". Definitely paying homage to California from the menu item names to the options of NorCal and SoCal. Will consider going back to try the fries even though order was amazing. A must try! read more

Came to this place I found online. Host and staff were extremely nice. I order a bunch of food burritos, crunch wrap, and tacos all came out fast and great. One of the better bierra taco places I've been too. The inside of the location was very hip and brought out great vibes while eating. Definitely will be making the hour drive to come here. read more

You and a friend could easily share. The space itself is nice. It's modern and bright with jwarm wood and jaz playing in the background. There is seating at the bar, and a few outdoor tables in addition to the main room. I enjoyed my experience. If I had a criticism, it's that I wished for one or two more mains. They really have what I consider a grazing menu. It's not a bad thing, just something to consider. Only go if you love seafood. They have the obligatory burger, but not much else. It is more of the sweeter side if you're looking for something that's spicy. I appreciate that we were given large pieces as well! The fried rice with shrimp is amazing - I love the crunch of the green onion, the softness of the fried egg, and the texture of the rice and veggies which weren't soggy and still held a nice bite. Last but not least, the hot spicy eggplant was a great choice because it's usually the trickier dish to cook as eggplant can turn really soft and mushy. I was delighted that with the way it was prepared, the large eggplant pieces still held a tender texture that did not fall apart. I also enjoyed the sauce that was paired with the eggplant, which is oyster-sauce based and added a pleasant sweetness as well. The attached parking garage charges $2/every half hour. Granted, this is no where near SF parking rates, it's still an additional fee. Street parking is super hard to find, and the streets are hectic, but you can test your luck (and patience). They use little tokens now that you have to pay for before exiting. Make sure you hold onto it because a lost token will run you $48 for the day rate. 2. The spot is poppin. It's not a complaint, that's a great thing! However it's really small inside so if there's a wait, you do have to line up in a single file line along a divider wall, where you can watch diners eat. Right next to you is the take out line for BBQ orders. It can get really claustrophobic. Tables do move fast as they're quick to bring out food, however you may be asked to just share a table with someone else. They have a couple round tables for the communal dining, or larger groups (up to 8). This is an ideal spot for 2-4 people. 6+ may cause you to wait longer for seating. 3. The tap water tastes kind of weird. They bring you a hot cup of tea too but the herbal taste is a bit too strong for me. 4. The bbq items are just okay :( I did a 3 item bbq combo with rice for about $21. You get a generous portion of meat, rice and a few pieces of steamed Chinese broccoli (gai lan). No sauce to dip or anything, but they do have a black bean sauce on the table to use. The sauce is pretty salty though, so just keep that in mind when you're adding it on. No spicy condiments on the table unfortunately. The duck was decent, but the bbq pork was a bit too lean for me. It wasn't overly sweet though so that was nice. The roast pork wasn't crunchy at all!! For some reason, they thin sliced it, instead of cut it into cubes. I love roast pork for the crunch so this was disappointing. The skin was more chewy than crunchy. All of the meats were tender though! 5. Fresh shrimp rice roll was hot and steamy and the price is cheaper than some dim sum spots ($7.50 for this one i think). However, you also get less shrimp. The sauce poured on was also kinda thin, and not sweet or umami enough. The rice roll itself had a good chew though, silky but a little thick. It holds up well while eating. The proportion go shrimp to rice noodle is waaaay off though. 6. Wonton noodle soup was good! This seemed like the crowd favorite as most everyone ordered this. The noodle could have had a bit more chew to it, but the wontons were bouncy and the broth comforting. You get a couple pieces of chinese broccoli with this too which is nice. The service was efficient and our main server was nice. She spoke english and actually smiled back. They take card payment too, so that's convenient. You really get some bang for your buck here, but I'd probably stick to taking food to go.
