I don't normally leave reviews, but I felt I needed to for this business. I was looking on YELP for Toyota dealers in the area and their reviews. I always went to Crown Toyota, but had 2 bad experiences with their service department, so decided to look elsewhere. I found all of the great reviews for this place and decided to give them a try. I can't say enough good things about Alex and his shop. He is honest, very responsive and his prices are extremely reasonable. I paid about half of what I would have at the dealer. He goes above and beyond. He performed a specific service on my car that really only took him a few minutes, and he didn't charge me anything for it. The dealer had quoted me $200 just to look at it. I was having problem with adjusting my parking brakes on my SUV. Started looking at yelp and toyotek was highly recommended based on reviews. Sent a message Friday night for a quote and owner replied back within few minutes with an excellent quote. Owner asked me to bring my car in the morning but was not able to get to the shop till afternoon on a Saturday. Owner immediately worked on my car and was out of there in an hour. Do not hesitate to bring your Toyota here! I helped my little sister get an older Corolla from a private party and I noticed the AC only worked when going 70-80mph. He was able to diagnose everything and fix it the same day. I'lol say this now but it's so hard to find a mechanic that will properly work on a Toyota Prius apparently. I found Alex on yelp and I will say he has done an amazing job on my rear brakes. I had them repairs a year ago by another shop and never noticed that they didn't adjust them right. Alex saw the problem and fixed it. My rear brakes feel great and now I feel safe driving my car. I found this shop after taking my daughter's Toyota Corolla to a Toyata dealer, which refused to even attempt to fix my problems, because of a few loose parts. So I searched online for an independent repair shop near me, and found Toyotec. I had the car towed there, where the owner Alex asked me a few questions about what the car was, or was not doing. And told me to leave it for him to check it out. A couple hours later he called me to discuss what he'd found going on with the car. Long story short, he diagnosed the issues, then proceeded to fix them. And fix them well, he did. I am thoroughly pleased with his service, attention to detail, and the pricing was very fair, and he is indeed a gentleman. I went in for an oil change and and 100k service and not only did he take care of my car he let me know of things he saw and I should consider to address before they go bad. I was having issues with my 2014 prius plug in and had a difficult time finding a mechanic that would work on this type of car. I called Alex and he was very friendly and said I could bring my car in that day. He did some research and found that what he believed to be the problem, should still be covered under an extended warranty. I have had my car for 9 years and it has over 140,000 miles. No way did I think it would be covered. He told me what to do and the next day I took it to the dealer. The dealer was giving me a bit of a hard time and I called Alex back for advice. With no hesitation he provided me with advice and made me feel very comfortable with pushing back on the dealer. My car is now being repaired for free under warranty! A fix that I am told would have cost me at least $2k! I am very thankful to Alex and will be brining my car to him from now on. I was very happy with the work and service at Toyotek. I've worked in the auto industry and have been in and around shops for 20 years. My f150's ac stopped working in the middle of the heatwave this summer. Upland ford couldn't get me on the schedule for two weeks. Alex at Toyotek got me in the next day and diagnosed the compressor was dead. He got the parts ordered and installed in a few days and was able to do it under my extended warranty. Sent my brother here for here for a diagnosis, got quoted a new engine.. Brothers car was overheating on him, being a hybrid, I recommend he come here to get a professional diagnostic to not waste any time on solving the problem. He gets quoted a head gasket repair or better yet a new engine. Being a $4k repair, we brought it back to his house. I reviewed the diagnostic paperwork, didn't see any compression testing, leak down testing, just codes pulled and the recommended new engine repair. We ended up doing the testing, and didn't find a leaking head gasket. Pulled all the codes, ruled out a few things and ended up replacing the water-pump, thermostat and a coolant flush all in a weekend. All around $350 with parts from the dealer. Engine is running great now, no problems and about to go get it smoged for registration renewal. Not sure if this is usual practice, but It's concerning getting a new engine quoted right off the bat. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Alex, is the rare mechanic who is honest and reliable! Had another shop tell me that they could not diagnose what was wrong with my 2011 Camry and that it would cost thousands just to get it running again and that they would buy it for a couple of hundred dollars if I wanted sell it?? Huh??? Took it to Alex and it just needed a new alternator and battery for a few hundred dollars. Got it back running, recommended the extra needed repairs and now it's good to go! Alex is great. He is the owner and is a one man show. I called him on Tuesday for an oil change on my 2017 Lexus NX 200t either on a Thursday or Friday. He said Thursday would work and asked me to call him Thursday morning to set a time. I called him Thursday at 11am and he said to bring it at 11:45 as he was working on another vehicle. He got me in and out in 30min! It was $105 for synthetic oil change, tire rotation, checking my engine and cabin air filter and topping off my fluids. He is thorough yet fast. I had a lot of masks in my glove box and he mentioned that some masks got stuck near the AC duct and warned me that if they block the duct it can cause the motor to overheat. He also told me my rear brakes still had some more use but would need to be changed in 6months. I had actually taken my car to the Lexus dealership 5000miles prior to this to get my oil change and the dealership told me I needed to get my front brakes changed and that my rear brakes were close and they could change them too. I'm glad I didn't change them because I obviously had a lot more time left. Alex is honest and hardworking. I spent some time talking to him about the shop and his previous work experience. He used to work at a Lexus and toyota dealership and would work hard staying after hours busting his butt for the dealership. He would do side jobs for friends on the side and then decided to open his own shop 2years ago. He has invested his savings into this shop and has gotten new lifts and equipment. He starts the day at 10am but told me he will stay till 9pm some days to make sure everything gets done. He wastes no time and seem knowledgeable. I was reluctant to bring my car to an independent mechanic but I was tired of paying extra $$ at the dealer. Alex put me to ease and I will trust him to take care of my ride not just for oil changes but anything else that needs work like my 120k mile service. read more

After doing some research for maintenance work needing to be done on my Ford truck, I wasn't happy with what the 'Ford specialists' were quoting me. I found Toyotek and decided give it a shot on seeing what Alex would offer or if he would even take my truck in. All the other reviews were raving how he did great service on their Toyota vehicles. Plus, there is no mention of Ford on his profile. However, I'm happy to say that Alex does indeed work on Fords! The quote he gave me was more than reasonable and I'm glad he was able to take me in.
