I've been in to the TPS Santa Clara shop a few times over the years. Mike (the owner) is a serious car guy and supports many local events & charities. With my C1 LS3-powered vette, TPS added a new intake, coil covers, exhaust cut-outs, and power steering cooler. Plus oil change and dyno tune. His guys definitely know their stuff and do quality work. With my reproduction Subaru-powered 550 Spyder, their resident "Subaru-guy" did an oil change and general service. It was fun talking with him about cars. He clearly loves what he does. Nope! Unfortunately, I didn't do my homework on reviews regarding ordered parts-others have had similar experiences to mine. This type of business practice is disgusting and violates consumer protections. Let the work begin! Here is the timeline. Four emails from me and one from Mike. As you can see, my pacing and patience was reasonable. 4/28/26 - Purchased item, cc charged $1200, invoice downloaded 5/5/26 - Sent inquiry email regarding tracking info 5/6/26 - Mike responded saying he'd look into it and that there was a PRICE INCREASE on an item I had already purchased thru his website 5/8/26 - Sent a follow-up email asking for an update 5/11/26 - Sent an email asking for my item to be sent and tracking info or I would be reviewing his company on every platform I can find. 5/12/26 - Still no word from Mike On April 28, 2026 I ordered XB Headlights for my Tundra which were listed "on sale". My card was charged, I downloaded my invoice and waited for tracking information. Nada! On May 5th I reached out via email asking for an update. On May 6th Mike emailed me back with, "We are checking on status for you as there also has been a price increase unfortunately." PRICE INCREASE??? WTH? I wait for his update. Nada! 2 years ago. Mike and team installed a Supercharger in my 89 Foxbody when no other shop would touch it. Also installed a boat load of suspension parts ( subframe conns., Koni shock/strut, camber plates, Steeda sway bars & control arms etc.). Mike recommended parts but offered option for me to choose and purchase my own (I went with his recommendations). It took a long time in the shop, but worth it. I was looking for red calipers to replace the dull gray calipers on my C6 Corvette GS. Unfortunately, new calipers for a C6 GS are unavailable unless you want to go with Wilwood, Brembo, etc. I'm an OEM kind of guy so I was looking to stay stock. In my search I came across TPS Motorsport. I selected the red calipers and chose the option to NOT send in my caliper cores but to wait. This option meant I had to wait for someone to return C6 GS calipers. It took a few months for them to final get finished - BUT IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!! They look AMAZING!! After discussing possibilities and options w/Mike, I had TPS order and install a Magnuson Supercharger in my Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon V6. While there were some delays and technical challenges in unlocking the Jeep's PCM (black box computer) and shipping back and forth to the tuner's facility, things were completed and all worked out. I read on-line these Jeeps can often have this issue and sometimes this de-bugging is needed. The overall performance of the now more powerful Jeep is excellent, the tuning and fueling is great, this previously weak 3.6L motor really exceeds expectations. It's a big improvement and the power, acceleration, and sound is really satisfying. It was not a cheap project but the upgrade was worth it. At the end of a delayed process (due to the computer de-bugging), they delivered the Jeep detailed and very clean in and out, and a month out, it continues to run well and impress. I'll be bringing another performance project for another vehicle to them next. read more

I had my 2015 c7 lt1 stingray brought in for a possible broken flexplate since the car made a clanking sound when shutting off the car. I called Mike at TPS and Mike said he would also check the torque tube as well. He gave me a price over the phone and I agreed. Brought the car in before the long memorial day weekend and was told by Mike that my torque tube couplers had gone really bad. Not only did they find out the issue but rebuilt it. They also reprogrammed my transmission since prior to bringing in the car it felt sluggish when shifting . The car is done and shifts a whole lot quicker than before. It was worth the wait and even gave me a loaner car so I can drive to work. Highly recommend TPS Mike and his team.
