I am 86 years old retired and had to buy a new lawn mower, I have shopped there in the past and have invested quite a few dollars over the last couple of years. The mower was a cub cadet and is less than a year old. I also purchased a set of mulching blades for the lawn tractor through tractor supply. Apparently I was sold the wrong style blades which stripped the spindle assy causing the blade assembly to fly of the deck and get lost in my yard. I eventually found the blade and nut but dealing with Cub Cadet and Tractor Supply was aggravating and completely useless. Tractor supply wanted nothing to do with the issue and gave me a couple of phone numbers to call to try to get warranty. Both phone numbers were called repeatedly, only to be put on hold for over 1/2 hour at which point I hung up. After researching new spindle assy's and blades it appears the mower came with the wrong fitting blades and then I was given an even wronger set of mulching blades with caused the spindle to strip. NO ONE was interested in helping me with this, service was HORRIBLE from both Tractor supply and Cub cadet. I had to order and purchase new spindle assy's and blades on my own and pay for them even tho tractor was still under warranty. will not puchase even a nut or bolt from tractor supply again! read more

Tractor supply store is very attractive for so many reasons, from pet supplies to garden supplies to car products and even filling up your propane tanks. The staff here is always nice and helpful, I never had a problem, shopping here, but the reason why I give them such a low score is because of their pet wash service which I have had to use countless times for three big dogs. First off let me begin by saying I never come to do this on a Saturday, because the store is absolutely maniacal and generally, there's quite the clientele with dogs. Having said that, I'm a weekday bather... The place is always clean, but for whatever reason, it is never properly stocked with towels and the supplies they give you are completely diluted to the point that they're absolute liquid that you can't even lather your pet. Today I was at my wits end, as this had to be the fourth time that this has happened. You come here to pay for a service and true $10.62 is cheap, but if I have to bring my own supplies and all I'm doing is just using your facility to wash my pet what good is it? I went there to only have one towel and I have big dogs as I mentioned 100+ pounds. To find someone around the store unless you go all the way up to the cashier is impossible on a weekday. Again, I stress weekday because this is when I choose to do this, but they also need to man that area and make sure it is properly stocked and perhaps make a visit as soon as someone checks their washed pet to make sure the towels and products are still fulfilled. I did ask to speak to a manager, and the manager apologized, but again, when you go there so many times and the same stuff happens and you say the same thing over and over again, gets a little tiring. I'll go back and visit and check out the space one day and see if it's stocked and then I'll update my rating! Other than that, the store offers great products and fabulous sales. Even their clothing is a great find! I just wish that they would get their act straight with the pet wash station. This location also offers curbside pick up and has a huge parking area so parking is never an issue. read more

Helpful and friendly service, I was greeted by Sophia as soon as I arrived and I was so impressed with her knowledge of the Tractor the I was looking for. She arranged next day delivery at no cost to me and recommended 0% financing for 48 months. My new Cub Cadet arrived at 10 am the following morning fully assembled and ready to go. I have found a new store for all my yard work equipment. I called ahead asking for salt which I was told they had, but when arriving to the store they had no inventory and did not sell what I was looking for. This has happened to me several times. I try to shop at smaller chain stores opposed to giant corporate entities like amazon or Home Depot, but tractor supply does not really hold up as far as the small town customer service environment. Prices are also higher then other stores... I suppose it beats driving 15 minutes to Trumbull or 20 to Danbury, but I don't think this Tractor Supply is a great store. read more

I don't own a tractor, but I own a charcoal grill. And that charcoal grill needs cleaning. So in a way it's kind of like a tractor, right? Anyway, I needed a brush to clean my grill. And this place had like ten different brushes. Brushes with one scrubbing head. Brushes with three scrubbing heads. Long handles, short handles, nylon, metal, you name it. I purchased a pair of thier RIDGECUT toughwear work boots # YMF-1104 on Dec 18th, 2021 and 9 weeks later ,the sides of the boots split open, rendering them useless in the snow and rain as they leak...DO NOT buy these boots ,they are defective.....the Schmidtt boots they used to sell wore like iron and lasted 2-3 years , not these Ridgecut boots - and the store retrun policy on footwear is only 30 days...thats B.S...... read more

You should have more than one cashier on a busy spring Saturday at noon. One girl on the register all flustered because there were 10 people in line. Some old guy that works there decides to come up to her while she's waiting on people and jokes "hey you look busy" as he's laughing with his hands in his pockets doing nothing. I said to him as we were leaving "why don't you get on a register and help her out?" They both looked at me like I had two heads. And where's the manager? But maybe that guy was him. I've been there about 5 times and never leave satisfied. They never have what I'm looking for and don't even bother selling plants when even the grocery store has a better selection. I won't be back. I'll deal with the Home Depot crowds. At least they know how to manage them. Tractor Supply Newtown staff is not helpful even asked one guy working there if they sold lightbulbs and his answer was "gee I don't know" but didn't offer to find out btw the answer is no. And I don't get that store it's like some tractor stuff plus some redneck chachkis in case the old lady comes along? And some bug spray so the hound dog don't get fleas. The parking lot is too small and there's always a guy driving a fork lift around for no apparent reason. read more
