Worse service department ever! First, no acknowledgement when I entered, so I was standing there like what/where do I go. Next, he asked me why I was there, I said an appt for a Safety recall and an oil change and he looks at me and says I do not need an oil change. He says is the maintenance light on, I said no, but I am going out of town and I want a oil change. He asks for me keys and takes me outside and starts asking me about my trip bc I don't need an oil change in his opinion and they won't do it for free. I said, I didn't ask for it free, I asked for an oil change. He stands there starting at me. I asked if he was going to do the maintenance and he said no. So I asked for my keys. Called the service manager, Jeremy and he starts in on the same thing about the free oil change and then he tells me that they do not have the parts for the safety recall, which the first guy never said anything about bc he was hyper focused on the oil change. read more

It was the time we all dread....time to search for a new car. I was referred to Tracy Honda as I heard not only are they professional and know their stuff but there is no hassle and pressure game. From the moment we walked on the lot, we were greeted but didn't feel like we were attacked. We were able to look around and once we were ready to ask questions Dave came to the rescue. He knew about each vehicle including the different trims from Elite, to Touring, to Black Edition. He asked if we wanted to test drive the vehicle and it was in a genuine want for us to love the vehicle rather than the pressue of drive it so we can buy it. We asked Dave all the questions and he let us both drive the car to make sure it was what was best for our family. When we return Frank came out to ask us how it went and that was when we knew that if we not only had found our car but who we wanted to buy it from. The process was easy and they made sure to explain everything to us. We explored our options for financing as well as our trade in. To start, this review is for the service department only. I don't have experience with their sales department as I bought my Honda elsewhere. I brought the vehicle back on January 8, 2022. When they say you should pay attention to gut feelings, it's true. I was left with an uneasy feeling as soon as I met with my service advisor, and I should have left with my car at that point but I did not. I brought my car in because it previously wasn't blowing cold, and it was also in need of a routine oil change, etc. They recharged the system and added tracer dye, but a few days later it stopped working again. Because of COVID and other life commitments, I couldn't bring it in within the time frame for a free recheck, but I wanted to bring it back to them since they had looked at the same issue previously. They first did the routine service points and told me the engine air filter and cabin air filter needed to be replaced. I had them go ahead and do it. They replaced the condenser because it was leaking and was on a known service bulletin. They later said the leak caused the compressor to fail, but this would not be covered even though it was a direct result of the condenser failure. This still didn't solve the a/c issues, so they looked at the codes on the a/c system and found an open circuit for the ambient air sensor. They called me, told me, and I agreed for them to replace it, and they did, but this again did not solve the issue. The issue ended up being the wiring/pigtail to the sensor. I am frustrated this was not eliminated before I was told it was this sensor and had it replaced. At this point, I remembered that I purchased HondaCare when I purchased my vehicle, so I dug for information at home over the weekend while the dealership was closed. I found the number for HondaCare and called and asked if these things were covered. I was told yes they were but was asked why am I calling as it is the responsibility of the dealership to submit for approval. I told the HondaCare rep that was a great question, and I'm not sure why this process hadn't been started by the service team at the dealership. I have some serious, serious questions about why I wouldn't be told by the service team, but I will allow you to come to your own conclusions. It was at this time I realized that a leaking shaft assembly they were trying to get me to replace was also covered under the original drive train warranty. The service advisor argued with me over the phone until I read the warranty to him out loud. He then told me he would look into it. Needless to say, I had thousands upon thousands of dollars of covered work done here, that they attempted to charge me for before I had to point out that this should be covered. The wiring to the ambient sensor wasn't covered because it was chewed by a rodent. This was understandable. They wanted to charge me over $500 for the wiring, but I didn't want to pay this much and knew I could find a more affordable shop. When I took the car in for the wiring repairs at another non-dealer shop, I was told the new cabin air filter was dirty, the fasteners for the engine air filters were broken or missing, and the core of my brand new condenser was bent. Do what you will with this information, but I will not be back for service at Tracy Honda ever again. read more

My wife and I were paying over $1,100 a month for two car notes. We live in San Francisco and due to parking, one of our cars was stationed in the East Bay (meaning we never drove it.) My wife's car was a 2021 Nissan Altima and I had a 2019 Honda Civic, which I loved and had previously purchased from Frank and his crew at Tracy Honda. But due to me being an educator and her a health and fitness advisor, we fit in the "blue collar" category on the income brackets. Our credit also was not the greatest. We thought if lucky, we'd leave with a newer Honda Civic... When I say Frank spent HOURS working with different banks to get us the best bang for our buck. We also had a very complicated situation due to our trade-ins. Mandeep was very attentive and checked-in with us regularly to ensure us that they were doing everything they could to find us the best deal. While we were waiting, we kept staring at the Sonic Gray Pearl Honda Accord they had showcased inside. My babe kept saying how much she liked it. I told her "we will aim for that next time babe, let's just hope we leave in a different car from the ones we drove up in." Not too long after, Frank walked up to us and told us he got a bank to approve us. He got us the best deal he could with our complicated situation. He ended it with, "I am putting you in a brand new Honda Accord Sport, I have white or the Sonic Gray", I said "oooo white, what does the Sonic Gray look like?", he pointed to the car my wife had been gazing at the last few hours. I said "like that one?" He said "Just like that!" The smile on my wife's face and the excitement in my eyes was priceless. Frank was amazing and worked so hard to make sure we didn't just leave with a car that we were content with but with a car we could be ecstatic about! Mind you Frank had to fly out early in the morning for a managers training. He is an amazing manager, leading a great team!! Mandeep prepared our car for us, detailing, coating, setting the system up, and everything else that goes along with driving a brand new car off the lot. He made sure to help us get all our stuff out of our old cars. And answered any questions we had. I refer all my family and friends to Frank and his crew at Tracy Honda. Because I know Frank is not just a sales guy but a caring person who is going to make sure anyone driving off that lot is happy, comfortable, and most importantly, safe! If you are looking for a new car, have great or not so great credit, trade-ins, little money down, go see Frank and his crew at Tracy Honda. I initially texted Tracy Honda on Tuesday night about a 2019 EX-L Civic and Connor responded Wednesday morning. I was able to test drive the same day and ended up doing all the paperwork as well :) Connor had amazing customer service. He was very responsive to any questions we had about civics in general and even showed us all the other civics for sale after our test drive at our request.
