No coal for me this year! Santa was good to me and so was Tracy Toyota! I had the BEST CAR-BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER at Tracy Toyota and I can say with confidence that they have the best / most friendly team of salespeople and the nicest Toyota dealership in the Delta area. I can say that because I personally visited Lodi Toyota, Toyota Town of Stockton and Antioch Toyota before deciding to purchase at Tracy Toyota. After my 2009 Corolla took a turn for the worse last month, I started looking around for a new car and decided to focus on finding a 2018 or 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid (since they are top-rated for gas mileage and reliability and those are important for me since I'm a super commuter). This was my 1st new car buying adventure and I didn't know where to start so just started looking on Edmunds.com and Truecar.com. A bunch of dealerships contacted me after I gave my info to these websites and I just started visiting them and calling them back one-by-one, Tracy Toyota was one of them. When I finally got down to visit Tracy Toyota DEEPAK in sales showed me a bunch of cool vehicles and they had a great selection of 2019 Camry hybrids in a bunch of colors and options. I had already done a test drive at Lodi Toyota and knew I wanted that car but Lodi only had the white color option. Tracy had the same car but in the sleek Predawn Gray Mica color. I decided that was the one I wanted but they were only the 2nd dealership I had visited and I was still really anxious about getting a good deal, so I told Deepak that I was going to shop around with other dealers in the area before committing. Instead of trying to pressure me to seal the deal that day, he offered to hold the specific car I wanted (with a deposit of course) and zero pressure to buy, he just asked that I give him a call if I decided not to purchase. I was blown away by this and it made me feel like my happiness was really important to him. After visiting several other dealerships, I made up my mind to buy from Tracy Toyota and returned to pick up my beautiful 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid LE. Deepak again made me feel super welcome and he even told me how impressed he was with how much work I put into researching and shopping around. I knew I'd made the right choice. Finally, when it got down to the brass tacks / financing, RAMEN worked with me on financing and got me a low interest rate and a very low down payment, which was kind of unexpected because my credit is not perfect (student loans...wah wah)! And the process was FAST, I was only there for about 2 hours! But I also came prepared with my insurance info, registration info for my trade-in and my pay stubs. All I can say is that I'm SO HAPPY!!! My car was due for a 10,000-mile oil change and i will never go back here. They told me that it would take 2.5 hours just to get that done because at lunch time everyone stops and goes to lunch. I am sorry but we just do not have that kind of time to hang around and wait for just an oil change. Additionally, what surprised me is that the advisor got mad with me and started to lecture me about service rather than try to convince me to stay. He needs additional training on how to approach customers. At the end of it i cancelled that appointment and another that i had there for my other vehicle set for the next day. I really, REALLY wish I had viewed reviews for this dealership before buying a car from them. Never in my life have I had buyers remorse until now. I had recently been in an accident that had totaled my car and was in a bit of a hurry trying to find a new one. Not like needing to buy that day, but sooner rather than later. We ended up at Tracy Toyota. "Salesman" Nick, was nice from in the beginning. We were looking at a used car, took it for a test drive and just wanted to see what payments would be and if we could afford it. Nick seemed to be on board, checking it out for us. Next thing you know he's trying to close a deal, saying if we could just put down a little more money, make our payments a little bit higher, all of which made us uncomfortable. We decided to go and started to leave, saying we weren't sure we even wanted the car. It was the first and only we had seen on the lot. He then turned and said if we were to walk out on the deal, nobody would finance us due to our credit. One more hit on our credit and nobody would touch us, he said. We left with a car, however no loan paperwork. When I called to ask why we haven't received it when we left, Nick was insanely rude on the phone stating "Did you see me in the finance office with you? No, you didn't. How would I know why you don't have paperwork, that's your problem". Outrageous. Unacceptable customer service. We were scared into buying the car we weren't sure we even wanted and that's 100% our fault. However, the warranty the finance manager told us we were "given" (turns out later that we financed an extra two grand for it) covers none of the things that have come to light on the car after we drove it away. Car smells of smoke when you turn on the A/C. USB port doesn't work, driver side seatbelt won't retract, passenger seat squeaks when you sit on it after 5 minutes, gas gauge mysteriously drops to empty when it's not so obviously a computer problem. Back windshield wiper was missing a piece, the hatch handle was popping out of the car, foam behind it visible. Headlights need readjusting and new bulbs, ALL of which we were assured would get taken care of, no problem. After having our car for over a week and having gone back twice to pick it up, they in all adjusted a headlight, glued the hatch handle back in and replaced the back windshield wiper piece. Nothing else was "covered". Having gone in circles with the finance department, service department, management and even the "owner", nothing is resolved and this dealership is complete garbage. From salesmen to management, nothing but a headache. Do yourself a favor and buy literally ANYWHERE else. Also, make sure if you do decide to purchase from this place, they can keep your name and social security numbers straight. I've received multiple letters from loan companies with my name (spelled incorrectly) and my fiancés social security number and credit score information and vise-versa. When I asked, they said it had to have been an error on the banks end, took no responsibility. 3 different loan companies, including the one who financed me, same error? I don't think so. To this day, still struggling to get my name corrected on every single piece of paperwork on this car from my loan company to the god damn DMV because they misspelled it by a SINGLE letter. Too much headache due to this dealerships incompetence. Tracy Toyota, you are a hot, hot mess. How you're still in business is beyond me. read more

Wow, I'm shocked! I called today to see what time they would take the last car for a "speedy oil change" & the girl on the phone said they don't have an appointment till Sat or Mon. I continued to ask, "so you don't take non-appointments, like I can't just drive up for an oil change?"....she continued to talk over me and say no we are all booked for today, blablabla. I have always been able to just drive up (usually in the morning) and get an oil change, hence WITHOUT scheduling an appointment. I am caught off guard at the fact that you need an appointment to get the simplest service now! I keep telling myself , to never go back but because the convenience &price I still go. BUT I guess you really do get what you pay for. What a shame how bad the service has gone in the last 2 years! 9/30/2022- update!!! I received a call early this week from Bryan the Service Director at Tracy Toyota. He said he was made aware of my review and wanted to discuss the situation. I reviewed with him the circumstances and he researched the issues as well. He apologized for the challenges I was presented with and wanted to know if I would be willing to give the service department an opportunity to correct the situation. We made an appointment and I went in to meet with him. He was very knowledgeable about what I experienced and apologized. We discussed a resolution that would work and proceeded to make an appointment for my vehicle to get the repairs that I initially came in for and he honored the pricing that I was initially quoted. He also explained the results of the battery test and why the reading came up as it did. My car went in for service this week and he provided me with a rental car while my car was being serviced. He handled the entire situation extremely professionally and kept me informed of the process at every step. I truly appreciate everything he did to make this stressful process successful! Sent email from Costco to find best deal and Livermore and Walnut Creek Toyota were on the ball with an e-mail of all the details I needed. Not Tracy, they sent me an e-mail to contact them and then they wanted the information I already placed on the Costco site. They laughed at us when we told them the price we were willing to pay -- we bought from Dublin Toyota at our price and Tracy called 5 months later willing to give it to us at the same. Now, I am in Service. Had a warranty replacement and said I could wait for my car. Turns out I waited and then called for a ride home. It took 5 hours and then the 'guts' were hanging out of my car. I'm not driving like that! They fixed it at my insistence. Now, the replacement warranty part. No one called me. I'm busy too. From now on I'll go to another Toyota dealer to get the work done. Here is a good story. I bought a used 2019 Ford Flex (AWD) Black from them. When i took it for a test drive I noticed that the vehicle was pulling HARD to the right. I mentioned it to the Used car Salesmen who was riding Shotgun. He dismissed my findings and downplayed it. Thanks Bro. Then comes the money part and he just puts no more thought into the fact that this establishment is selling a vehicle that is not in road-going shape. I INSIST on getting it in writing that they will fix any issues related to Alignment. I get it in writing. Stupid me. So i drive away with the vehicle thinking since this is a reputable establishment with a reputation to defend and that they will do right, make me whole. Maybe take this seriously. An appointment is made with their service dept and they schedule an alignment. 1.6 hrs go by and I return 15 minutes after the max amount of time they tell me it will take. Nothing is done to the car and they ask me to hang out for another hour. I say no I can't. So they get it on their rack within 5 minutes. Ends up all it needs is 2 tires an a simple alignment. They cannot do it till next week. Took the car to Big O tires and they are telling me that the alignment is really off like the car had been doing serious offroading. Call the dealership and they tell me the car is "AS IS" Then after speaking with the used car sales manager they offer two new tires and an alignment but will not pay for parts. Wtf? Great so they are essentially cool with having their customer drive around in a car that has issues from the get go. I'm willing to bet the whole dealership is infested with these cockroaches giving each other high fives for pushing garbage onto honest hard-working Americans. Anyways I'm sure the Ford Dealership inspection will bring the vehicles issues to light. I will add that later. Ford Livermore inspects the car and tells me that the allignment is way off and it will need $500+ parts to get it up to standard. I purchased a Toyota Camry 9 months ago off of Craigslist and I brought it here for pre-purchase inspection because I thought that a Toyota dealership, who only wants to make as much money as possible, would detail every little thing wrong with it. When I dropped it off, I told the man (i wish I remembered his name) that the car reeks of gasoline and I wanted to know why. I also told them that I knew from the previous owner it needed shocks and struts. They told me SEVERAL times that they were extremely busy that day and it might take a while and I said "sure no problem." When I picked up the car, they told me that absolutely nothing was wrong with it and that I was getting a steal and the only thing it needed was shocks and struts and that they couldn't figure out why it smelled of gasoline but that everything checked out great so not to worry about it. Fast forward nine months, I finally have enough money to get some repairs done on it and I took it to my very highly regarded and honest mechanic who told me they have never seen a car worse than mine. It had a significant crack in the fuel tank and the entire underside of my car was coated in gasoline. They said they were extremely shocked my car had not been set on fire with me inside of it by now. That is just ONE of the many horrible issues wrong with that vehicle and they assured me that those damages had been there for YEARS. For nine months, while driving this death trap, I have experienced horrible medical conditions that were all written off by doctors as anxiety. I even had a seizure while driving this vehicle. As it turns out, I have been being slowly poisoned by carbon monoxide. So, it seems that Toyota probably never even looked at my car. When we called and politely requested a refund for the $150 inspection that was NEVER EVEN DONE, the man on the phone never once apologized and told us he would absolutely not refund us the money we are due. So, to you Toyota, we plan on taking this story to every media outlet we can find. Oh also, we'll be seeing you in court. The parts department is a joke. I ordered parts from their website that were advertised as available, only to find out they were on backorder. Most websites let you know that the item is unavailable or out of stock. Not these guys. Then when I question why I didn't as able to order these parts if they weren't available and I was told, "our website isn't tied into our inventory". How much sense does that make? Well after waiting for nearly a month my parts finally came. I'm not even going to get started on the BS I had to deal with over returning my cores for a refund. I don't know about the sales staff but if they're as incompetent as the parts department I wouldn't buy anything from them. read more

I took my car for an oil change and waited 3.5 hours for the service and they also told me that they accidentally broke the oil filter housing and they did replaced it but forgot to re install the screw cap under the oil filter (see pictures) that led to my engine oil leaking out. UPDATE: Brian, the service manager, has taken care of the issues described below and made right the situation. While there was a rocky start I am being taken care of well at this point. Original Review (1*): TLDR; I got charged for a part replacement I didn't need, a diagnostic procedure that should have happened the first time they looked at the car, then got promised a "diagnostic fee credit" for having to take my car in to them the *second* time that same day (didn't even leave the parking lot) that was never delivered when I decided not to go with their "repair" that was more than double the cost of competition. $430 down the drain and I still have the issue I checked in with. I booked an appointment for this morning saying "I have a high-pitched whine every time the engine starts and when I accelerate it increases in pitch and intensity. It seems to me that it's probably the serpentine belt." They change the serpentine belt, call it fixed, and charge me $250. I start the engine and *immediately* notice the high-pitched whine. Obviously, it's not fixed. I walk back in and the service rep tells me "Well, the guy that told you it was the serpentine belt was wrong. But hey, you needed it replaced anyway." No, doh - it's not the serpentine belt if it still has the issue. He continued: "Normally there would be a $170 diagnostic charge but since you just came in with the car I'll credit that to you." Fine, I thought, at least they'll correct it free of charge. However, a few hours later the call me back quoting me almost $1,000 for an alternator replacement, after parts+labor+tax. A quick call to a well-rated local mechanic places it at about $400 + tax, less than half. I go back to the dealership to pick up my car, and say I might be able to do the repair at a later date but am unable to do so today as it's a lot of money. I mention to the cashier that since I came in with the car earlier that my service rep mentioned he'd credit me the diagnostic fee. After some discussion behind the scene, I am still charged the $170 fee - though if I were to go with their outlandishly overpriced alternator replacement the fee would be credited back to the cost of repair. No dice. $430 down the drain and I do not have the issue I went in with fixed. Roughly $800 more to replace the alternator through the dealership, assuming that the $170 diagnostic fee is credited if I were to get it done through the dealership. read more

Excellent experience with the young salesman who helped us until it was time to sit down and discuss a sale. (He's too good for that place). The sales manager comes in and does not introduce himself and just starts yelling at me and my husband in front of my young child. Not sure how this guy got the sales manager position because he is unprofessional, rude and incompetent. Our offer was low but not unreasonable. We expected to negotiate and end up somewhere between our initial offer and their sticker price. He told us that they don't negotiate and the price is the sticker price. What a COMPETENT Sales Manager should have done was directed us to the vehicle that we hadn't seen yet that was the exact make and model with a tiny bit more mileage for the price we were wanting to pay that was right there on the lot. No one ever showed that vehicle to us. We saw it on their site when we got home, but of course we didn't go back because there's no way in HELL after being treated so appallingly that I would ever give that dealership my money. I guess they stay in business by taking advantage of their patrons and ripping people off. I will NEVER set foot in there again AND I will NEVER buy a Toyota. Have a 2014 Corolla S. One day out of the blue the center console had some software issue and stuck at a boot loop, basically it just keeps on restarting every 10-15 mins. Did some research on YouTube and it turns out it's a pretty common issue for this car. The only potential fix for this is to take it to the dealership according to the videos. So I take my car to this dealership since it's the closest to where I live. Heck, they actually charge $160 just to take a look at it or run a diagnostic, and it won't even go towards the repair. Not once did I feel pressured and I left there with a car that I love and happy I got to do business with them! It was also very easy to tell that they genuinely care about the customer and that they leave happy and satisfied with the deal they got (which I feel is rare to see in any salesman). If you are looking for a great place to buy a car, this is the place for you! Especially for a first timer like me! Bought a new Prius last Sunday. It was actually a very pleasant experience. I have bought quite a few cars and by far this was my best experience. I did my homework and worked with Tina Cea on this deal. She is great and I would encourage you to ask for Tina! The primary reason I did not give 5 Stars is that most people would not believe my review and might think I have ties to this dealership. I actually wanted to rate them 4 1/2 stars. There was over an hour wait to complete paperwork. We did have to wait a little longer then an hour to get to the Finance Dept but that was caused by the Labor Day Special financing that Toyota was offering and the fact that there were quite a few people buying cars. Once in Finance it was quick and they did not try the hard sell. They presented some options and accepted "no" when we passed on some of the options that were offered. I went to Tracy Toyota to get an oil change and a recall fixed for my registration. The first time going , they fixed the recall but failed to give me the sleep needed to deliver to the DMV. I realized this too late so I had to return. They filled out the paperwork but then filled it out wrong , but I didn't know so I had to send it in. Due to COVID the dmv has been backed up and they returned my registration application saying that the form provided by Toyota was incomplete. So I had to return a third time. This was and still is the most inconvenient thing ever because after a few months i still do not have my tags because of having to push it off so much due to Tracy Toyota just not giving the form the first time or filling it out properly the second time. read more

I took my mom here to get a car only two months after I bought a car from them. Tracy Toyota is a bunch of your typical "used car shady salesmen". They lie to get what they want. They do not care about you. They will stick hidden fees anywhere and lie to get you to sign the contract. Save yourself the time and go to Modesto Toyota. We made a huge mistake buying a car at Tracy Toyota, rather than Modesto Toyota. Let your friends and know. I'm also being nice by not personally naming the four people who "helped" us get a bad deal. They are good liars.. keep your guard up if you shop there and read EVERYTHING. read more
