The gentlemen came back to take my call and I gave him the part number for the part i was searching for. He told me within that minute that he doesn't have the part, nor could he order the part. I knew that was a lie from the start when a buddy of mine recently got some from the dealer. So I called up Livermore Toyota and they took care of me right away with no hesitation. Bought a new Prius last Sunday. It was actually a very pleasant experience. I have bought quite a few cars and by far this was my best experience. I did my homework and worked with Tina Cea on this deal. She is great and I would encourage you to ask for Tina! The primary reason I did not give 5 Stars is that most people would not believe my review and might think I have ties to this dealership. I actually wanted to rate them 4 1/2 stars. There was over an hour wait to complete paperwork. We did have to wait a little longer then an hour to get to the Finance Dept but that was caused by the Labor Day Special financing that Toyota was offering and the fact that there were quite a few people buying cars. Once in Finance it was quick and they did not try the hard sell. They presented some options and accepted "no" when we passed on some of the options that were offered. Brought my Camry for a routine oil change and everything went great, except for when I went to pick up my car. They'd called me & said my car's ready and when I sat in my car, I discovered that they'd broken our Jade prayer beads that were hanging from the rear view mirror. I can't fathom how nobody bothered to 1) Pick up the beads and put them in a cup and 2) notify me of the accident before I stepped into the car. Obviously the service tech that broke it just ignored what he'd done and left the beads where they lay and somebody drove the car and parked it for me to pick up, without any concern for care of someone else's property. When I brought the complaint up to the manager and said that beads are missing and they had sentimental and monetary value (they were genuine jade beads from Dubai), she apologized and said it was unacceptable but said they can't rectify the problem by paying to replace the missing beads because the owner wouldn't approve of it. I would steer clear from this dealership now and instead drive to Dublin Toyota now, where they even wash and vacuum the car for you. read more

Went in 6/15 to get my car serviced for 15k mile maintenance. I did a walk-in and it took an hour and a half. Ok sure - next time I'll make an appointment. Got my car back and the steering wheel and shifter was dirty - ok fine I'll clean it myself. Hood wasn't fully closed so I shut it myself. Technician forgot to put a maintenance reminder sticker...I'll be understanding - people have their off days. Ever since I got my car back, I feel like it hasn't been driving completely the same. Tire pressure monitor would go on and off intermittently at very random temperatures so I checked them to make sure they're inflated per manufacturer specs (36 psi). I checked and found the front left was 28psi, front right was 50psi, rear right was 50psi, and rear left was at 36psi. I drive my family in this vehicle on long drives. Tracy Toyota's service department needs to get their sh*t together because this is inexcusable. 15k mile service is a no-brainer tire rotation and proper inflation. How could a technician have messed up this much? smh. Update: Because I lost trust in Tracy Toyota's service department, I checked my engine oil and sure enough it was overfilled 1/2" above full on the dipstick. Yes I know how to check properly and I took multiple readings. Given that the service schedule indicates oil changes every 10k miles, I've been driving my engine overfilled with oil for ~6k miles. If I can't trust them to do minor low mileage maintenance, how can I trust them with major services? I'll be going to another dealership to get my car serviced. read more

Recently, my parents went to Tracy Toyota to purchase a 2019 Toyota CH-R. Customer service was so-so & my parents were able to reach a price/payment that worked best of them. However, I found some things to be particularly unprofessional at this location. So, fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, when we finally received our service agreement booklet and roadside assistance card. I noticed that the name on the booklet and the card was completely wrong. Which was no big deal because i assumed it would be an easy fix if all parties were willing to cooperate and collaborate to solve the problem. But this was not the case. First I called the dealership to see if they could fix the name change on their end and they directed me to call Toyota's corporate office. However, when I got in contact with the corporate office, they directed me back to the dealership because the dealership was the one with all my documentation which makes sense. When contacting the dealership again, they constantly forwarded my calls or connected me to people whom refused to pick up their phones and do their jobs. At this point, I'm pretty annoyed when I've left multiple voicemails. So I contact my salesman , who tries to tell me that it's okay if the name is wrong because "they don't even check that" smh. After hearing him basically tell me that he's just too lazy to do his job and help fix the problem that Tracy Toyota obviously made, I decided to just call corporate and see what I could do about it. Which they happily and efficiently helped me do. This situation was just very unprofessional and inconvenient. As adults and as a business, they should've taken responsibility for the error and helped to solve the problem as efficiently as possible and I just don't think that they did. There a few things that bug myself in life and this is one of the few. One of the cars I was interested in and was available online was perfect. I came in and looked at the paperwork and the salesperson said the car was in the shop and if i came tomorrow i could finish the paperwork and buy the car Next day came, and apparently the car was sold out a week ago and their system didnt update that. I was told the day prior from two separate salespeople that the car would be here tomorrow after the smog check. I wasted my time going in several times and being fakely positively re ensured that the car would be ready. Regardless of whether the system actually failed to put the car as sold, the salespeople failed to responsibly check to make sure the car was here. Literally if they cannot do that, what the hell are they being paid for! False promises- make sure you check the car itself and buy it the same day cuz who knows, the car might be gone the next even though you had the paperwork in! read more

So let me start by saying this, I definitely understand one person's experience may differ from the next. I hope what I write may change the views as well as help the next person who is considering buying from Tracy Toyota. I did not purchase a car from this dealership only that my wife and I helped her brother who is a first time buyer buy from Tracy Toyota. I recently bought my Toyota from another dealership and recommended my brother in law to that place only for him to come out of it without the car he wanted and completely let down/disappointed. He didn't deal with the sales rep I went thru but instead another rep he was recommended to by someone else and got the run around as well as poor customer service. More to this story as to why my wife and I were so involved in the first place is my brother in law recently went thru a life changing experience in where he has difficulty with speech but also new to buying a vehicle. We had been internet searching and a rep from Tracy Toyota contacted us back about a week ago, we explained the situation in which he was more than happy to help make things right, even lowering the price point of what my brother In law was asking for. This Tracy rep said they didn't have the car (2018 White Camry SE, black interior with all the upgrades and features) but that he would be sure to get it. Fast forward to today, speaking with that rep the day before he confirmed they would get the vehicle my brother in law wanted but that it would just be transferred from another dealership. He explained he couldn't get the vehicle transferred until the contract was signed. My brother in law agreed so we explained we wanted a smooth transaction as when we get there papers would be signed and everything would be good to go. Note: brother in law was already pre approved by his bank and had a down payment, easy right? No! When we got to Tracy today (@10am opening time) we looked around the lot my brother in law test drove the same exact car (10min overall) just to be sure which after the test drive he was, we let the rep know we were good to go. We sat in the dealership while he explained the car he seen yesterday that supposedly was for him to be transferred was sold but he was Working on getting another (same exact specs) car from another dealership. We waited in total about an hour and a half to two hours with that rep not once coming to check on us to to update of the situation(it was 12pm). By the time we were ready to walk out, my brother in law already stressed out and irritated as he was told everything was good to go, the rep had his manger try to smooth things out. The manager ask we wait a few minutes as they tried to secure the vehicle transfer, it took 15min before my brother in law told the rep thank you and goodbye. After two failed experiences my brother in law already having a bad taste in his mouth from everything that happened, said he was done with trying to buy a car and that was that or so we thought. I purposely left out the other rep's name from Tracy Toyota as it seemed we were done with them but then I received a call from another sales Consultant "Landon Cotton". Let me say this he changed two bad/negative experiences to now what I would say was the best experience I myself as well as my bro in law had coming out from this whole ordeal! Not only did Landon let us vent he was more than happy to take on the aggravation, irritation, and burnt out attitude myself and bro in law had coming back (it was around 5:45pm) as Landon asked we give them one more try. They end up getting the vehicle my bro in law wanted transferred, but also honoring the sales price along with having the car detailed and ready to go. Landon stuck by us through the whole process from the selling point (more venting point lol) to the finance point not once leaving us alone to wander in thought. He listened to every part of our story but also was down to earth and personal! He treated the situation with car, respect, and patience. Honestly it was exactly what myself and bro In law appreciated. I would like to throw in the Finance Rep Ray was also very helpful and took the time to walk my bro in law through the financing process as well being very energetic but patient with my bro in laws needs of what he was able to afford. I give both Landon and Ray five stars as if it weren't for both guys this deal wouldn't have happened period! I do believe in the saying "you have to go through a few bad apples before you find the right one" guess 3rd times a charm. I also believe there will always be a situation like this anywhere you go but if you find people like Landon and Ray it can definitely change your outlook of a dealership you buy from. When I first arrived to Tracy Toyota, I did not know what to expect. When my family and I arrived, I was looking to buy my very first car! I already had a car in mind to look at, when we walked towards the doors there was a gentleman, Nick, who greeted us. I was not impressed at all, he just awkwardly said hello and asked what I wanted. I stated I was looking for a Rav4, and to be honest we were not dressed to impress and I think he thought we were a waist of time. He just said "O ok, yea its somewhere in the back, you can look for it." and shooed us to the back and turned around and closed the door. ( Wow really?! Is what I thought) First of all I am a very big believer of customer service, and that was very rude and unprofessional. I made my way towards the back, couldn't find it, and honestly I told my parents lets go, I'm not here to deal with rude people. BUT LUCKILY, as we were walking out and ready to get in the car, the best employee Toyota has, SALVADOR, came out and actually showed interest and offered to help us. I am a very picky person, and it being my first car i wasn't about to just settle. Salvador truly went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I wanted! He took the time to listen to my concerns and complaints, he took the initiative to ask me questions, and showed me as many cars as I wanted. He even had the decency to ask our names, and we could tell he was genuinely trying to help us. He never at one point pressured us or made me feel harassed. ( I can not say the same for Nick, who then after he saw us actually interested, was pressuring, extremely pushy and hovering over us. Even after I told him twice to please let me talk to my family!) Salvador is a great asset to Toyota, because employees like that are hard to find. He truly deserves all the credit for my purchase of my car, and not a sales man who just said hello. Went in today and found a 2015 pre-owned leased camry with almost 16,000 miles that the dealership was asking $18,500 for. Went home and did some research found many vehicles in roseville comparable in mileage, make, etc. for about $1,000 less as well as some in Tracy and MULTIPLE 2016 camry's for $16,000 (newer, same low mileage but cheaper) in SO Cal. We expected to negotiate so we offered $17,000 out the door. Generally all the BS fees are around $2000 so essentially offered $15,000 for the car ($3,500 off). Instead of negotiating this "Sales Manager" came in all offended and yelling at me my husband and my 4 year old. Wouldn't negotiate, told us prices are firm talked about the location of the business and he stated he has to do most of his business online because it's not a boulevard out front. Tried to feed me a load of crap and sales jargon. I think he's lost as well because he kept talking about the "Bay Area." Maybe someone should tell him he's in the valley. What a jerk. I can't believe I got treated that way offering $17,000 cash for a vehicle. That's ok Tracy Toyota. You don't want my money and don't care about my business I will go somewhere else ... AND there's no way in hell I am bringing my car to your service department. I don't like or trust your dealership now and my husband and I will be glad to tell anyone who'll listen about the "service" we received from Tracy Toyota. But all they did was push me into the truck but didn't really help me with the paperwork side and understand how my loan would be able to transfer to my bank. It was my first time purchasing a car from a dealership and the salesmen was nice (Sam wali). But the finance officer was awful. After spending roughly 6 hours going through the process to acquire the truck, I was able to leave with it only to be receiving a plethora of calls from them saying they need additional paperwork and this and that. Some of the forms they requested I recall filling out at the dealership! None the less the finance officer decided to email me in all capitals and with improper grammar seemingly upset with me just for being a customer and new to the car purchasing ordeal. I would give them no stars but this site does not allow that. I have never bought from Tracy Toyota, but having had to deal with their service department, would never consider buying. If your service is poor how do you expect to a new sale. We made an appointment to bring my wife's 2004 Toyota Corolla in for the airbag recall 2 days ago, Brought the car in, checked in and left. Couple hours later we get a call the replacement part was not in... so they wasted our time and schedule. So the next day they called said they have the part. So I scheduled for today to bring the car in. Tracy Toyota needs to have someone that can answer simple questions. The service tech was off today and thank go o had her cell so I had actually made the return appointment with her by texting her as I could not reach her via phone. Never can you always get their VM. Too busy I assume. She replied though to my text that she would let Tatiana another service tech or rep know we were coming in. I wanted to be sure we had an appointment so I text her back to confirm we had an appointment and she never replied. I have tried since 8:30 this morning to just confirm we have an appointment, 3 calls and all transferred to voice message, I tried the chat box and was told Someone would get back to me yet 10:40 am no calls. So I try the service manager of course he is in a meeting so I get someone else, guess what they don't answer another VM. So I left a very strong hopefully not too rude of a message for her to call back yet half an hour later still not call back. All I want to do is confirm an appointment! Ridiculous. I am glad they are busy, yet it's not good service if customers cannot reach you. This is not the first time we have had trouble reaching service. They only have 1 or 2 people behind the counter. It may be more hassle but another dealer may be better. And their fee for an oil change $70 is crazy and tires???? Get the same service and tires from Costco or America's tires for less. So your can never reach someone, higher prices... does not make sense. Give excellent service and competitive prices and you will have a lot more customers but I guess they don't need that. If we get there this morning and have no trouble with getting the car in all will be well. However if they can't take us or say we don't have an appointment... not going to be good read more

If I could give no stars I would. Tracy does not honor the price on the Toyota website. They get you in there with that price and then have them listed at way over. When it was brought to the attention of the manager we were told there was nothing he could do to sell us the car at that price. My experience at Tracy Toyota was excellent! First off, ask for Deepak! I worked with Deepak who was courteous, patient, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. He was not pushy, and was willing to negotiate with me. Furthermore, he was just a fun guy to talk to and was attentive while I was getting my finances in order. The dealership as a whole was nice, clean, and had a large selection of vehicles in the newest colors and styles. The finance manager, Robbie, was very friendly and transparent, even while speaking to my advisor on the phone. All the other sales people were equally enthusiastic and willing to help, even if they were not personally involved in the sale. Service Department is the worst and one star is too many I took my Yaris 2007 for oil change and check the front struts for the clunking sound over road bumps. I always try to keep my car in a good shape and keep my service record. First, accepted the 160k mile oil change and engine cleaning kit for $160. Second, service adviser charged me $160 for diagnosing the issue. although I gave detail description of the issue and told him it is from my front wheel driver side and he said it sound like front struts. Service adviser called me 2 hours later and confirmed that front wheel driver side strut needs to be replaced. he gave me a price of $2300 for replacing both struts and from wheels alignment. I was shocked and said No. I would rather donate the car. Kelly BB value of this call is no more than $2500. Service adviser tried to convince me to do this but I rather cut my losses at this point. Service adviser called me 1 hour later and claimed he talked to his manager and cut the price to $1300. I refused. So, I picked up the car and paid $332 for and oil change and overcharged diagnostics. I went to Midas and got a quote for replacing front struts and alignment for $800. when I told them the story service people and customers shook their head Little background, I also own Nissan Murano that needed identical service. I took my Nissan to Tracy Nissan for Oil change and checking front struts as one of them was leaking. I paid $999 out the door for oil change, engine treatment, changing both front struts and wheel alignment. I took my paper work from Nissan to show the service adviser in Toyota but he had already left 3:30 Pm. I expected some honesty and fairness from Tracy Toyota service department but I guess that is too much to ask. read more

If this stealership had a middle name, it'd be Tracy Shady Toyota. Nick, the sales rep I met here, lived up to the fake salesman profile. I went on a test drive with him, when he acted calm but noticeably dismissive when I asked him questions and brought up my concerns about the used car. I spent no more than 10 minutes of his time and when I told him I didn't feel comfortable about purchasing a questionable vehicle, he became condescending and flat out rude and arrogant. If only I had this moment on camera, it was likened to a grown child throwing a tantrum. How can you sell me a vehicle you have absolutely no clue about, yet try to argue with the customer and act like you're doing me a favor? Be nice to your customers...they might actually want to buy your cars and you might actually get your commission. ...and it turns out I only got a glimpse of just how crooked this place is. Just read all the 1-star Yelp reviews and see for yourself--there seems to be a re-occurring theme of deceit that brands this dealership. Please, I urge you to do yourself and your honest, hard-earned money a favor. I have been getting my Venza serviced here since I bought in 2015 new. I recently went in for an oil change due to service light came on. I was told still had 5000 more miles before needed an oil change due to synthetic oil that is used. Just needed tires rotated I decided to have American Tire do that as I bought the tires there and they do it FREE. The service guy at Toyota said he would reset oil change light but he didn't do it so went back to dealer today to have them do it and they said Toyota would not reset light due to the fact I didn't do the tire rotation. WHAT! that's just crazy. OK fine I'll do it myself brought it home and fixed it myself after looking up videos on how to do it. Really Toyota 2 minutes of work and you wouldn't do it for a long time customer. NOW EX-customer! read more

Very disappointed in Tracy Toyota! Been working on the air bag recall for 3 months. They gave me a loaner car. I said I was nervous about it getting scratched. They said not to worry about it, they were only concerned if I had an accident not scratches. Now they tell me they are sending it to my insurance for a couple of scratches. That and still no replacement airbag! I don't recommend them. You can't believe what they say! read more

I found a car online and called the manager, Deborah, this morning to confirm that I would be coming out to the dealership later today. I later got an email from Maria asking if I would be coming. That should have been a warning that they don't talk to each other. I brought my family out to the dealership on time and was told the car had already been sold an hour ago. Really? No courtesy call? I had seen the low Yelp rating and reviews and already wondered if they were an honest dealership. Now, I know they aren't. My father has been a diehard 49er fan and a diehard Ronnie Lott fan this whole life. I had the pleasure to meet Mr. Ronnie Lott at Starbucks in Milpitas, California during an interview as Fixed Operations Director for his store. My father was a jet mechanic for the United States Air Force and used to watch Ronnie Lott on TV at 2 AM in Germany, I was a child my father used to tell me how great of an athlete Mr. Lott was, and he would show me pictures and videos. My father said if there is one athlete or famous person he could me, he would love to meet or speak to Ronnie Lott. Thank you for fulfilling my father's request. I got a call yesterday, 8/2/23, from Tracy Toyota saying that I am due for my maintenance, which I am aware of. The lady over the phone said they have a loyalty promo for routine service such as oil/filter change etc for 19.99 and she asked me if I wanted to schedule an appointment. I agreed and she booked me an appointment for today, 8/3/23. I come to the service department and explained to the service agent the call I got yesterday about the promo and he said that promo expired last month and my estimate for today's service is around $150. They should train their employees better before doing these calls because this is a classic example of a bait and switch tactic. I would've paid the $150 anyway but I really don't appreciate the misinformation that was given over the phone. On top of that, my car wasn't even due for oil/filter change like what the lady was alluding over the phone and it was due for other services instead. I usually have a good experience with this location but this experience really left a sour taste in my mouth. read more
