Had to have my Prius towed in to get an engine issue fixed by the service department. Usually I avoid dealers like the plague from past experiences with feeling like I was getting shafted. My service advisor Naider was super awesome! He was the most friendly and knowledgeable service advisor that I've ever experienced. Right away he was able to help us get the car into Neutral without starting the car since that was part of my issue, so they didn't have to drag it off the flatbed. He kept in touch multiple times through out the day letting me know how things were going or to check and make sure I wanted some extra work done (services that I knew I was due for) and I was OK with that. They were able to fix my problem same day, and get all the other services done too so I didn't have to keep borrowing my in-laws truck for commuting. If I could give Naider and the Service Dept more than 5 stars I totally would. Dealing with him has made me actually comfortable in going back to them when I need work done that I can't do on my own. I will be back for sure and continue to come back as long as Naider is there to help! read more

My husband purchased a vehicle from here in November 2013. He got the warranty coverage in case something went wrong before he decides to pay the car off. Well here we are in June 2014 and th ewarranty was cancelled but the check hasn't even been issued. I spoke with Mark the manager who assured everything would be okay well it's been a week since promised the check would be deposited. I would never recommend this business to anyone. We drove to Tracy as the dealerships in the Bay didn't have much inventory & what they did have had a $5,000 upcharge due to the chip shortage. After calling many dealers, I was told over the phone by Tracy Toyota that they would waive the $5K upcharge and when we got there, they honored this price! I called around the Bay Area for deals on oil changes - seems like all the Toyota dealerships are charging $39.95. Until I checked with Tracy Toyota. I spoke with a service advisor on the phone, who said their price was $29.95. Cool, plus their shop was close by anyway. I get to their service department early in the morning, and I'm told that they actually charge $39.95. What?!! Ten dollars is not a lot, but I was frustrated about the principle. Bait and switch anyone?!! And then I'm told it's going to take at least a couple of hours for the oil change, because service was deluged with recall work, plus I didn't have an appointment. Grrrr. Maybe a colorado omelette at IHOP will help cool me down? Well, I get back to the dealership, and surprisingly, my car was already finished. To top that, my service advisor apologized for the "misunderstanding" and charged me nothing for the service. What?!! Rewind please. I fully intended to pay, but I was comped instead? Wow. Impressive. Anyway, I was so ready to give these guys maybe ONE STAR, but at the end of the day, even a simple gesture like that can make you believe there still is some good in this crazy world. We broke down outside Tracy on a Sunday and had the car towed to Tracy Toyota, the local dealership. Even though I just had the car serviced before we left, it seems to have had a belt break and that caused the car to stop working. (I'm not an expert at cars, lights came on and we pulled over). We got up at 7 to get to the dealership when it opened. We talked to very nice service people (Victoria was one of the nicest people I've ever met at a dealership) who said they'd probably have the car in by 10 and if all went well out by noon. That worked great since our hotel stay ended at noon. So 11 rolls around and no word from them, so we call, just voice mail. I got the hotel to let us stay until 1:30. At 12 I called and they said they still hadn't touched the car. They said they'd call right back with a time estimate. I waited an hour and they never called back. I guess right back meant more than an hour to them. I called back and the service writer had just gotten back from lunch and said that the car was in now in the shop. The car was finished beautifully and the price was really reasonable. That saved the day for us. I really liked Victoria, she was great. I just wished they had kept in touch with us so we knew what was going on. read more

Be very careful purchasing a car form this dealer. I have bought and sold used cars for years since I need them for commuting to my office in San Jose. Just my experience but found a hail damaged car on the lot a few days ago. Hail damage cars can be offer thousands below blue book and i have purchased them before. Dealers love them because they buy them at a discount and sell them fast at a discount. Once i spoke to the sales staff on the hail damaged car ( lets be clear small little dents on hood and roof top ) they told me no discount ??? What !!!!!!!!!!!!!! They told me all their cars are 100 % top shelf used cars. I'm calling BS on this place and do your research before walking the lot with sales staff. High mileage vehicles and then hail damaged cars for top shelf prices common this car sales 101 folks, hail damage can cost 5,000 to 7,000 K to repair. That alone doing the math would cause the car to be totaled by the insurance carrier and end up on the salvage market and to a experienced dealer who wants to make a dollar. Watch your purse/wallet !!!!! they seem to want more than just making a couple of bucks on the average customer. read more

Bait and switch, unethical. Negotiated a price, went to sign the contract and the salesperson did not stand behind what was committed. I was told my price and my interest rate was based on taking the rebate which I agreed. Went in to sign the contract and the finance manager said that the rate he showed was in lieu of the rebate and the sell price would be higher. Dishonest service department. I changed the cabin air filter in my car the day before bringing in my 2017 vehicle for included scheduled maintenance. Pick it up and I am told the cabin air filter WAS CHECKED and needs replacement. This is clearly a lie. Had it been checked they would have seen the filter was new with the install date written in marker on the filters side you see as soon as you open the filter door. I informed the service lady of this fact and she insisted they can get dirty "really fast" and it should be changed. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I noticed that their customer parking was littered with company vehicles taking up all of the parking. The service center had parking when I drove around, but I didn't want to walk in rain. He couldn't answer any of our questions, was arguing with us, and finally we asked for a manager, who completed our sale and assured us that the first salesman would not be getting any commission on the deal. The second time we went back, a saleslady named Luda helped us out. (I'm always impressed when I see a woman selling cars). She was knowledgeable, helpful, not pushy, took us on a test drive, and when we told her we needed a few days to think about it, she was the person we asked for when we went back. Well, after taking it to another Toyota Dealer it turns out that they parts I paid for to be changed were never changed!!! My car's battery has been leaking for months now. Talking to the manager does not even help.. they will not take responsibility for their mistakes and they are very rude about it too. Not only they took my money but they curse me out, too. We have been going to Tracy Toyota for many years now but my last few experiences have not been very good ones. This last one I went to have my front end looked at because I was having some shimmying in the front end. I also asked for a new fob since mine was no longer working to lock and unlock the doors. Apparently my son who is a mechanic over in Menlo Park did something wrong when he did my brakes last time and Tracy Toyota Charged me 1700.00 for the Key Fob and the Brakes. That is front and rear with new disks in the rear, also they said I needed new parking brakes. I have done my own brakes many times and should have done them this time. I thought I would give myself a break and let them do them. Never again. We just bought a new Toyota Carola and will take it to Livermore for service and my Tundra has no warranty on anything so it will now go to a local trusted shop where I can speak to the mechanic instead of a service writer. I have dealt with some wonderful people at this dealership. I think Cynthia is tops, she has always been very professional and tried to make amends for bad service in the past. I know there are lots of good people here, policies make a company or break a company. read more

A few weekends ago, I was out in the Tracy area, when I stopped into Tracy Toyota to check out the dealership's inventory of Prius's and also stay out of the heat. I had no plans to purchase a car that day, but ended up doing so because of the deal I was offered, and the customer service that came with the whole experience. When I stopped into the dealership, I was greeted by a solo salesman, (in the bay area, there are usually 5~10 vulture car salesman that rushes over to me) who kindly asked if there was anything he can help me with. I explained that I just wanted to check out the prius, and was directed to the area they had the new shipment of prius's parked. I walked around, asking very detailed questions, and he was quite knowledgeable. When we got around to wanting to test drive, and at the same time talk briefly about numbers, I explained I had no intention to buy unless the deal was amazing. I briefly explained the expectations for pricing and terms and he explained that he will do all that he can. When he returned (with the keys for the test drive) he brought out the fleet manager (Luda), who took over working with us. She took us on the test drive, and afterwards, we went inside to discuss some terms that they might be able to accommodate. She was able to give us a number/term that we just couldn't refuse. We rushed back to our vacation home to bring a vehicle to trade in (gave very high value), and worked out the purchase of the car (very low price). We worked with Ramon in finance to complete the paperwork, and we were on our way. (very nice guy and very helpful). The whole experience was done in less than 2 hours. (including our 1 hr drive back and forth with our trade) A few days later, I decided to make some changes to the terms, and contacted Ramon directly. Not only was he kind and accommodating, he made some more magic happen, giving us an even better deal than we had before. All in all, I would say that this was one of the best experiences I have had while purchasing a new vehicle. (total experience in purchasing cars... 8 new cars over the last 4 years... so not too many I suppose) And when comparing the deal we got over other deals friends have gotten for the same car, I came in several thousand below even the lowest ones. read more

Bought a brand new car from this dealership and have had nothing but issues since. Most recently I took my car in for a service appointment, which took 7 hours, and when leaving for work the next morning discover a screw in my tire! I call and explain this, make an appointment, and then they try to charge me 250 for a new tire!! Service manager Bob was extremely rude and disrespectful from the beginning of the encounter including him laughing and telling me to go search his parking lot for screws. Eleven years ago I bought a new Prius here and enjoyed it until I sold it three years ago. I must say the whole experience was excellent and still kick myself for selling it. The car was totally trouble free and the service we received was great...we live about 45 miles away and there are several other dealers in between that we could have gone to.
