After using TrueCar to find the best deals, Samantha bested every other dealership out there and was very aggressive in taking my trade. Her follow-through and help was great and I never felt very pressured. Even during the paperwork process when most dealerships try to guilt you into adding Extended Warranties, Service Plans, and all kinds of extras, when I told them I was not interested, it was end of discussion. They never pressured me. I had my 11 and 8 y/o daughters with me and the were very engaged in learning about the car. I'll start off by saying that Tracy Toyota's prices were better than other places and couldn't be beaten. That being said, be aware that they will try to add on a bunch of perks and not disclose that they are additional costs. I nearly finished my entire transaction without having seen the final itemized sheet with my loan amount, which I had my finance manager stop and explain to me every single line item when I realized that the additional perks that were mentioned were thousands of dollars in addition. I ended up keeping some of these additions b/c I thought they were worthwhile, however, I did not appreciate how disingenuous they were. All in all, it was an OK experience. The salesperson was nice enough (though technically lied when asked if some of the add-on times were optional) the finance manager was also nice and chatty. But please be aware and make sure you ask for the out the door price and go over the itemized sheet. This is update to my previous reviews to T.Toyota. Found my original contract which clearly shows I did purchase the membership as previously mentioned. I paid $629 for lifetime oil changes, tire rotation, 30% off parts, etc. I stated it was the gold membership but in fact it was the Platinum Championship Membership. It was placed in the computer as having the membership by employee Shawn. Also, found the contract that Toyota the company sent me 9/2009 and it also shows the proof, but they denied that. This time, I had Shawn print proof and the information is again in the computer, but I will be keeping my proof til my car dies. I still remain with the same rating to Tracy Toyota. The low reviews of this dealership are REAL. Ronnie Lott - you have a screwed up dealership. Now, lets be clear - this isn't a one time thing, its a repeated concern with the handling of the service of my car and watching the same thing happen to others. Your people do not care. They simply move things through the system. No one is helpful, they just basically say, that's the way it is. An oil change shouldn't take 4 hours. All of the complaints about the car wash are accurate. They take at least 30 minutes per car to go through, so if there are ten cars there, expect to wait 5 hours. No joke. The best part is that while the car wash is OWNED by the same people as the dealership, its run as a separate company. They cant even deal with free washes properly. Its hilarious to watch runners fighting with the car wash guys over getting service vehicles back. The manager at the wash has no care at all. Service after the sale - I think not. read more

Ask for Johnny Aviles and Deborah Bruns because they are great managers to work with. My family went to purchase a car that day and Johnny took us around the parking lot to show us the different models of the car that we were looking for. Once we found the one we wanted, he was also able to match the rebates and discounts that we found online from another dealer. Can i give them minus stars?? A Tracy Toyota is a good reason to consider public transportation. I bought a used car from these people several years ago and was talked into the "extended 100,000 mile service" for $2500. I was told that if i didn't use it i would be refunded all but $50 of it or some such. The contract's fine print said i had to wait 7 years from the date of purchase to qualify for the refund. Yeah, i tried to get my refund but the "insurance company" that issues the warranty is out of business and i'm out the $2450. And i never asked them to come down a penny on the car!! The car i bought was a Camry Hybrid. Initially, no one would do oil changes except Tracy Toyota. I got oil changes done there for years for under $40. However it seems that every time i went there they'd find something else that needed servicing; it was always "sell, sell, sell". However I continued faithfully to take the oil changes to the tune of something like 4 every year at $30-40 a pop. The last time i took the car there i was told the oil changes had gone up to $79.!! I was told there was a new management company or some such taking over the service group and they saw fit to raise the price. I stated emphatically that that would be the last time they ever saw this car. I've been true to that, as that was over a year ago. I now take the car to Speedy Oil Change down the street from them and am back to my $40 oil changes. They're a good group, friendly, courteous, efficient. My wife and I went there to look at a Camry hybrid the she had here eye on but we ended taking the XSE. My wife fell in love with that car and Kacey the salesman that we had talked to on the phone, was quick to check on the other car my wife liked instead. Kacey is young but makes up for it by asking questions and doing the leg work other salesmen would just not want to do. SEE EDWARD!!Repair Service is the best and worth driving the hour from the Bay Area for the cheaper price. $159 diagnosis compared to $200. Plus the parts/labor repairs and service are much cheaper. Compassionate service man Edward will not make repairs up. He will be honest about what needs to be fixed. And if nothing needs to be fixed, he will be honest and tell you that also. He IS popular so it is sometimes hard to get him by phone but he is worth the wait. And the technicians/repair men he assigns to your car are top notch and very very honest and thorough. Because of bad past experiences with many dealerships I am the type that expects to be ripped off and if possible, I try to peak to see if my car is actually being worked on and with car. I am totally paranoid. But after experiencing Edward at Tracy Toyota and his technicians who are organized and meticulous, I can finally relax. This is probably the worst dealership I have encountered. I live in the Sacramento area and am in the Tracy area weekly. I actually bought my car here. I stopped in last week to see a new Tundra. One slug salesman stood by the door with no acknowledgement. Other salesmen were busy with their phones. The receptionist was so engrossed in her phone she never looked up. I walked around the showroom twice and was never acknowledged. I left. Today I arrive for a 9:00 AM service appointment. After 20 minutes in the service drive watching one guy try to address customers, I decided to leave. There were still 3 cars ahead of me. (Note to Ronnie...my time is valuable too. That's why I made an appointment.) Apparently Mr. Lott and Associates do not need the money nor do they car about the customer. This was not my first bad experience with TRACY TOYOTA. Is zero stars an option? Cause that's what this place deserves... On August 26, 2011 My husband and I went to TT to look for a used vehicle. We look around for about 2 seconds before we were bombarded by a salesman. Our budget was tight and we knew what we could afford ($11-$13,000). After dragging us from vehicle to vehicle way out of our price range we were able to on our own find something we could afford. A 2006 Saturn Vue. It was like love at first sight and it was only $9,995!! Going through paperwork and financing was simple enough. Once they knew we were ready to buy with our $4,000 cash down it was easy breezy. Our vehicle came with a Q-Certified Limited Power Train Warranty (one of the biggest selling points for us!). I had had my car for about 6 weeks and as I'm pulling into a parking spot I go to back up and straighten out and my car won't shift into first gear. It won't shift into ANY gear. I'm halfway hanging out of this parking space, unable to move my vehicle by hand and foot (I'm 5'3'' and 120lbs). I call Tracy Toyota and they said they have no way of getting my car to their "service dept" (It's hard to call it that when you get zero customer service) and that I needed to figure it out for myself. Gee, thanks. So we get the car towed there and once they get all of the information, they tell us the repair might not be covered by our warranty. Um, what? My shifter broke. The shifter is attached to the transmission. -1 star. Turns out the part was covered by the warranty and they fixed it. After 3 days in the shop, we get a call around noon telling us the vehicle is ready to be picked up. I had no way to get down there until about 3:30pm. I was able to get a ride a little over 3 hours after they call. I go to get in my car up and first thing I notice is that there is oil prints all over my floor mat. I just had my car cleaned a week ago. -1 star. I wasn't going to say anything about the mats, I was just happy to have my car back! Well, that was until I went to start my car and it wouldn't start. Somehow from the 3+ hours from when they called me, they drain my battery. - 1 star. They ran some tests and went back to the service dept. Meanwhile I'm still at my car. I wait for 30 minutes and no one has come out to me to tell me what's going on. I walk in the service department and they tell me I needed a new battery. Again, what? So after a little bit of going back and forth they are going to replace my battery for free. Which they should. I had no problems with it before I dropped it off to you. It ran 3 hours ago when you said it was ready to be picked up. I am then told that I am going to have to wait for their shuttle service guy to go buy me a new battery. What kind of service dept. doesn't carry batteries? So, I'm stuck waiting another 40 min. They come back with a battery and it's the wrong one. -1 star. Fast forward to last Friday 11/11/11. I notice while backing out of a parking space that something is dripping from my car. We figure out that it's oil. Then on Saturday, what looks like a little oil can with a wrench next to it, starts flashing on and off. Because you put the oil in the engine and my engine is covered by that awesome power train warranty, I bring my car in on Monday. I walk in and tell them what's happened over the weekend and that I think I might have an oil leak. The guy at the service dept. tells my that I don't know I have an oil leak, but I'm a quart low on oil. I may be a female and I may be 26 years young, but after growing up working on cars with my dad and working as a technician for Sears Automotive, I do know a little about cars. Alright no problem. I don't know what I'm talking about. We go back inside and as he's looking up information on my car he tells me that my car hasn't had an oil change. Well, it doesn't even have 2,500 miles on it from when we bought it and I've only owned it for 2 months so I wouldn't have needed an oil change on it. He tells me that it's never had an oil change done there. Again, what? You sold me a car and didn't do an oil change on it before putting it on your lot? You're kidding, right? Nope. Not kidding. -1 star I don't hear from them until the next morning when I'm told my car failed a safety inspection because the brakes are bad. I just bought my car from you guys, shouldn't this been taken care of before putting it on your lot? Needless to say they replace them for free. As they should. I haven't even put 2,500 miles on my car. I have to more stars to minus at this point. They used them all. I get my car back yesterday. We go out to dinner last night and my pass. air bag isn't turning on the the airbag light on the dash is staying on. You're joking right? Ugh. So my car is back in the shop and I'm waiting to hear back from them at this point. The airbag thing scares me. If it we're to randomly go off out of nowhere or not go off in an accident, any owners manual will tell you that could cause serious injury or death. read more

BEWARE! If you are in the market to buy a car and it happens to be from Tracy Toyota be careful about what accessories or after market items you purchase. This dealership is very sneaky. They will sell you items like permaplate and charge you a ridiculous amount of money. You'd think they would call to make arrangements for the application. YEAH RIGHT! The sell you the item but when it comes for the application they don't follow through. I realized Tracy Toyota did this exact fraud with me. I purchased a vehicle a while back and when I went to trade my vehicle in I realized I wasn't given what I had bought. Since the car is old now and I'm not interested in keeping it I seeked a refund for over 3k on permaplate. Lets just say I have yet to hear back form Cynthia Tyler, Guest Relations Manager and Erick Striclin, Supposedly the GM. I have filed a case with Toyota which they haven't resolved yet. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, surprisingly they haven't replied to that one. Hey maybe they will reply to the letter my attorney will be sending them soon. This review applies to the service department. I was told that there are no appointments made for oil changes so when I arrived on a Saturday morning at 7:30 the line was all the way into the street. The workers that were writing up the service request were extremely unorganized, bouncing from car to car in no specific order and once the line was moving they were rearranging people and I know I was there before a lot of the other cars that they were pulling in. Then when I told the guy about what I saw he said, "well we sell a lot of cars what do you expect?" Seriously, well you can count me out from ever coming back. Then to make matters worse once I tell the other guy inside they tell me that it's a 3 hour wait for an oil change & to get a ride from the shuttle I had to wait another 45 minutes. Once I get home they call me within 30 minutes to tell me the car is ready so I told my service person MINJO that I needed a ride back to pick it up, I guess he forgot to let the cashier know that I was going to need a ride. About 30 minutes I call the main line and get the rudest receptionist ever telling me that no one told her that I needed a ride and I'd have to wait another hour for the shuttle but she would call me back to let me the Estimated time, so about 30 minutes later she said she forgot and put me on hold, basically I had to wait for the shuttle driver till about 12:30p to pick me up. Once I got on the shuttle he told me everyone told him I was mad and that he's sorry for the inconvenience I really don't blame him as he's out in the field. Once I finally got back to pick up my car the service guy MINGO said "oh I guess the shuttle driver didn't get my message, but I sent him a text" SO at this point I'm so over it and disgusted at the moron's they have working here. I got to the cashier and left a message for the service manager and she supposedly left a message but I still haven't heard back since. I WILL NEVER BRING MY CAR HERE AGAIN, EVER...This is the worst service I have ever received and I totally regret doing business with this dealership! TWO THUMBS DOWN!!! read more

I proceeded to drive from north Stockton to Tracy when upon arrival I was told that they had sold the car months ago. They would even wash it when we brought it in for service and bring it around for you when you picked it up. This is not the same dealership! Now it's like your cars way over there go get it. Nothing but problems and every time we take it in for a recall or warranty repair they find some reason to not cover it and of course want to charge 150 for a diagnostic on it. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and courteous. BUT If you're in a hurry, DON'T plan to come here. If you have a Truck/SUV for oil change, expect to wait even longer, they only have one lift for that. ONLY ONE. Making an appointment means nothing, you still have to wait. An oil change should only take 30min. AT MOST. I was told 1 hr 45min to wait plus 3 trucks in front of me. If you do the math I should've had my car in 2 hours. Waiting almost 3 hours just for an oil change, how dare they write "EXPRESS" in big red letters on that building, complete BS. They do offer a shuttle ride but they aren't as consistent with the time they leave as they say they are. They left early and said they would be back in 45mins, which my car should be estimated to be done, after waiting the 1hr 45min, so I had to cancel my shuttle ride. read more

No communication between staff and customers, the techs are taking cars from the non appointment line rather than taking the cars of people that have made appointments. I was a first time buyer maybe i should have been more knowledgeable but i guess i just thought i could trust them! i test drove the vehicle and it had a sensor light on the salesman said if you buy it , it should just turn off on your way home and i bought it!! My husband and I want to purchase a Highlander. My brother in law works for Toyota so we are eligible to an employee discount. My brother in law told us to be upfront about this when dealing with a salesperson. We pulled into Tracy Toyota at around 3PM on 6/4, my husband approached the salesman told him we were interested in a Highlander and that we would be using an employee discount. The salesman said they don't give discounts there and was extremely rude. We left and won't be going back or referring anyone. I realize that we are in the middle of a pandemic but to have to wait 3 hour when you have an appointment is unacceptable. If I could give it less than one star I would. The salesperson I dealt with has been there a LONG time so no excuses. I inquired about a used car on their website via text too weeks ago. I was unable to look at the car personally as about 50 miles away. I chatted with the salesperson multiple times getting all the info I needed. The car seemed in good shape from her description but they were asking too much ($26.9K). She asked what I wanted to do and I said I would be interested but at a lower price. She said thanks and I did not text after saying I'd be looking at other cars. A couple days later she texted me again saying "My used car manager says we are very close to 25 plus tax and lic when can you come in". I saw the car on Friday morning, test drove it and it was it good shape. I was on my way out of town and said I had two others to look at and would let her know. No discussion to price as I had her text from a few days earlier. I left and a few hours later I got a text from her "They will sell the car tomorrow". I responded with asking her best price to confirm her earlier text. Her response was "what we have already agreed to" so I figured great but asked what 'close' meant in her text and copied her text offering it at "close to 25" and sent it to her. She then responded with "$26,993 plus tax and license" "that is the price it will sell at tomorrow". Wow, is all I can say. I responded with "then sell it at that price tomorrow and don't wast my time...etc." It's amazing that salespeople still operate like this. I had to return the car to them and deal with Raymond the Finance Specialist. I took my previous car and after 10 mins they called me saying I have the key for the new car? Like wait! I handed the keys for the new car, And they gave me back my car keys. They were saying that I took one key of the new car?! So annoyed that I had to call them back and forth. RAYMOND even told me that if I don't go back to the dealership they will charge me for the key that was not working on the new car! I tested my keys if they work on my car and it works! He lacks customer service skills and even contacted Yelp to have my first review removed because it involved my husband and son and not me! That was a lie! I spoke to Dan personally after I left two messages with two different service clerks and three times to the receptionists before getting Dan on the phone! This is hands down the worst experience I've ever had buying a car in my life. At one point of of this terrible experience our salesmen left with my drivers licence to make a copy. When he came back I asked him for it. He said he forgot and would get it. We talked about the price of the car. He left 20 minutes go by. He comes back smelling like cigarettes, and immediately starts to talk about price again. So I ask him for my drivers licence. He says "I'll go get it" He leaves and is gone for another 20 minutes. I hear over the loud speaker, they call and ask if anyone has taken a licence off of the copier. We spent the next 3 hours waiting to get my licence back, which included them reviewing the survalence tape to see see if I had been given my licence back, (Even though i knew i diddn't have it, because i asked for it the very first time he came back without it!) as well as asking me to empty my pockets out! Eventually they came back and said that they had lost it. So now here I am I have no drivers licence so I can't even try to to buy another car until I take time off work, go to the Dmv, and get a new one reissued, and receive it. Also due to my job I have had to file a police report, as well as report them to the BBB. The kicker is I own 2 cars above the price range of the car I was attempting to buy, and am familiar with what they cost, as well as what the car I was trying to buy should cost. In their words my credit is "exelent" So when they were offering me a "deal" with a monthly payment more than twice as high as my other 2 more expensive vehicles I was insulted. They also told me I was getting a deal because the car used to be priced at xxxxxx. Well I looked it up right there and that car didn't cost what they said when it was new! They also said the car that I bought 2 years ago was only worth 20% of what we paid. So I looked up the same car we own, on their lot, and they were selling one with that was older than ours, with more miles, for more money! If I sold them our car at the price they said they basically would make 90% profit on it, while simultaneously doubling my existing car payment (For no reason they could explain.) When that didn't work for us, my licence "dissappeared" and we sat their for hours, and now we can't buy a car anywhere (without my licence), and I can't legally drive until I resolve this.
