The sales guy John lied to us about the price and the finance guy Mr. De Los Santos keeps you talking to distract you from looking at the paperwork, then has you sign papers that are folded, hiding the final price. I dont know how many times we asked for the FINAL price, and they showed us the lower price- which was NOT the final purchase price. They tried to get over 7k more on the printed paperwork. The color combo I wanted was available at three dealers in CA, all in the Bay area. I live in L.A. Luda Gomez recognized my needs, responded promptly, and worked with me on a purchase price and trade in value over the phone. I drove from Los Angeles to Tracy. Luda and John were terrific to work with and had me in and out of the dealership quickly, returning to L.A. with a new Sienna. One of the other dealers kept insisting that I come in to look at the car before they would even talk price with me. And the third dealer did not realize that I was a serious buyer until after I had a deal with Luda. Luda and John are to be complimented for recognizing my specific needs and being willing to stray from the script so many dealers follow when someone calls in making an inquiry. I received a call from a Toyota rep with an offer to book my next oil change for $40 off. I took it, thinking they were honestly going to do my oil change at a discount. They did not honor their discount offered. Seems like bait and switch right? On top of that the oil change took 3 hours. I was told it was because they were short in the shop that day, after I called and complained about it. Why couldn't they tell me or my boyfriend while he was waiting in the waiting area that the car was going to be delayed? They dont care about customer service. They offered me a partial refund, and I requested a full refund due to the DIS-service they provided. The manager said she would work on it, and after 3 weeks and I havent received anything. I keep calling the manager and she doesnt pick up. I leave messages and she doesnt call back. I have two Toyota cars, one that I just purchased here. Me and my boyfriend commute for work so we need oil changes more often than others. I went to take my 2nd car for an oil change and got discounted the partial refund they offered. Come to find out, my car didnt even need an oil change. I paid for an inspection that is included with and oil change when its due. They are very bad at educating you about your car needs, they just want your money. My car said "maintenance required" so I assumed it needed an oil change but I was wrong. I wish they would have told me my new car gives this message for other reasons. Oh well, I wont go back and neither will my sister. She was just told that the service her van needs takes too long (3hrs) so they cant do it over the weekend and she has to take it durring the week. She thinks this reasoning is very poor and they are probably just being lazy. Between both of our experiences we decided we will no longer take our cars here (5 cars total). You guys may be the only Toyota in the area, but we deserve quality customer service. You show you dont care about your clients, your clients wont come back. I advise others to think twice before trying to start a relationship with this Toyota because the people in this place dont care about you. And I think its important for the people that you take your car for regular service are caring. I do not want careless people taking "care" of my car. read more

I bought a new 2017 Camry about two days ago. The dealers there helped us make a decision on what car would be better, since we were looking into other cars too. They were so accommodating. Johnny was very helpful in getting us the best deal we can possibly get. And we were completely satisfied and reassured by the end of the whole thing because of it. I was given my car and given a basic step by step on how to get it started, which saved me a lot of time from figuring it out myself later. This review will be tailored to the car repair center. I have not purchased any of my Toyotas through this place. I've gone to their car repair place numerous times mainly for routine maintenance. Today, I went for an oil change on my car. I was helped by Kyle at the service desk. I must say I was impressed with the customer service I was getting. Kyle gave me an estimate on when the car was going to be finished and it was finished on-time. I arrived home and noticed my car hub cap was missing from the back rear. I called up toyota repair center and was transferred to Dan. Sure enough, after a while Dan had agreed to offer a replacement. I drove down to the service center and was waiting in the lobby. Kyle noticed I had come back and immediately asked me why I was there. I filled him in on what happened and he went back to get Dan. After a while, I was offered replacement hubcaps at no additional cost. I know to some this seems like a minor thing but I really like the ascetic look that hubcaps offer. I am writing this review today to share my experience as I know most places wouldn't have been as willing to help out someone who had already driven off of the lot. Don't buy a car from these guys; they will try the best to rip you off! I called them about a new car I was interested in buying. They told me that it would be arriving within a few days, so I drove over from Pleasanton to buy it. When I arrived, I met the sales guy I talked with on the phone. He showed me the details on the car and I told him I would buy it. I had to wait for about an hour until his sales manager was available to discuss the sales price. I really didn't think there would be any issues since I was willing to pay MSRP, but they where unwilling to sell me the car without adding $3,000 worth of clear coat and window treatment. They droped the price to $1900, but there was no way I was willing to pay for them. I ended up just walking out and wasting half a day with them. I won't ever call them again or service my car with them again after this sales experience. read more

Very disappointed in the service department from this place. My wife brought in our truck to have them take a look at a loose molding that's holding the windshield (exterior side) and one of the weather strips on roof came off loose. She asked them to give her a call for a quote of how much the entire labor and parts would cost. Three hours later, they called us to let us know that the truck was done and that we have to pay $110 for the labor and materials? I asked them what they've use to fix the problem and said that they used a super glue to re attached the molding and weather strips and that there is no guarantee that it will hold? C'MON MAN! A super glue only cost $2.50! They could have told me this first hand and I could have done it myself and saved me the money. I am never going back to this place again. read more

I am disgusted with the work ethnics of this dealership. I brought in my car because it wouldn't start. I agreed to pay for the diagnostic fee along with the basic oil change. They found out that the starter was bad and that I needed a new one. Ok, fine.Then they mentioned that the radiator needs to be replaced and that the positive battery cord had some corrosion and that it needed to be replaced as well. I knew of the radiator because I had a friend of mine who is a mechanic look at the car. Service then proceeded to ask me what would I like to do. I declined to take up the service at the dealership because of the pricing. I picked up my car, paid the diagnostic fee and oil change and brought it to another shop. TURNS OUT that yes, the starter was bad and so was the radiator but nothing was seen on the positive cord! NOTHING AT ALL. I asked the shop how much the positive cord would be if it was corroded, and he said it would've cost around $750 aftermarket for the part alone, and that was the cheapest price he could find. HOLY CRAP! The price at Tracy Toyota would've been $1000 for a part and service that was not needed. It's disgusting how low Tracy Toyota gets to try and squeeze money out of pockets of their customers. It makes me sick because I've had services prior to this and it cost me $$$. Now I wonder if those services were even needed! WORD OF ADVICE: TAKE YOUR CAR FOR A SECOND OPINION AND SHOP AROUND FOR PRICING! read more

My recent visit wasn't good. From the beginning, in between and post service. I mentioned items to be looked at and repaired. Got the brakes replaced but incomplete job. Said he replaced the shims, not. It still squeeks. Mingo called left VM. The BS'r said he didn't get it (why because he easly distracted?). Mingo talks to much. I deal and see a lot of people in service since its part of my job. Mingo is a classic case BS'r. Don't work with this guy. He gives the service dept a bad rap. He lied multiple times when working with him through the day. At the end he delivers half (you know what) work. Don't get BS'd or deal with this guy Mingo. He trys to fool a lot people around him! I been here many other times and had no issue until getting guy. I did return to re-visit the work and i was certainly fuming. read more

I can only speak to the buying experience of a new car at Tracy Toyota which exceeded my expectations. I always dread having to buy a car. After doing some research, emailing other dealers, I determined what I thought would be a fair price and surprisingly Tracy's first offer was right where I wanted. All of this was done over email and even though they didn't initially have the car combination I wanted, they were able to very quickly locate what I was looking for. Having gone through this process a few times in the past I was bracing myself for a lot of high pressure sales tactics, lots of upsell, but didn't get any of that. There was an unexpected level of honesty and openness from Landon and Robbie that really impressed me and made the whole experience very painless. People told me I was absolutely in sane to go back this time to get a car but I love Toyotas and I'm loyal to Tracy so I went. What a great experience Sammy was amazing Deepak was wonderful. Went in looking for a used car and came out with a new one. Joey, our salesman was great!! Unfortunately I can't remember his last name but I do remember it was his second day there. He wasn't pushy or smarmy like so many car salespeople & apologized profusely after another sales lady was downright rude. All that aside, Joey & his manager presented us with a lease option that had us spending the same amount as buying a used car. Joey could have easily pushed us to a used car but worked with us and presented different options in a clear and concise manner. I regret not reading the reviews before going. The sales man was super nice but he was trying to convince me to get a car I didn't want just because the bank said they wouldn't qualify me for a lower priced car with more miles . I ended up looking at a 2019 car that was originally 28k . After having negative equity of 6.5k , my loan ended up at 50k . One of my friend that works at a car dealer said that's a whole lot of money. Which I agreed but I also mention I was the only one getting the car without a co-signer so I figured it was going to be high . He thought my credit was the issue but once he seen my paper work he proved over 7k was added to my loan . I understand they have to make commission off of add on and cars but I believe he should have tried to SALE instead of lying and saying it "came with the car" .... I called the same day I found out they added so much to my load and the lady said they were "all busy" as soon as I got there I called once again and stated "all busy" so I get off the car and they were all standing at the door talking and laughing . I talked to the guy that did my paper work and he had mention that he took 4K off the car and added 4K of warranty . Which is a GOOD thing but he didn't mention the rest ! .... instead of him removing it and giving the car at his original price , he just rudely and upset said "well cancel it " and I responded " ok then cancel it " . The way he said "he hooked it up" made me so upset because you can't say "I hooked you up " by added 7k worth of things that my car insurance provides. As a manger in sales , don't lie guys ! I am trying to close a deal on a used Highlander Hybrid, and I asked for an inspection of the hybrid system as a contingency for the sale, but getting this information has been like pulling teeth! It was originally estimated at a 2 hour job. They found that some recall work had not been done on the vehicle, so did that work (which is wonderful!) but the completion time slipped twice, significantly. Instead of taking one day it ended up taking 2 days - that's a 100% estimation error. At the end of all this, I asked for the inspection report to be faxed to me, and it contained absolutely no information on the hybrid system inspection, which was the original purpose for bringing the vehicle in. Now I've been calling them for an hour and no one is answering the phones. I have never had such horrible response or service from any dealership whatsoever. They seem to care not one bit for their customers. read more

I will never go to Tracy Toyota again! Ever!!! I called Tracy Toyota and requested an estimate for changing my water pump, timing belt and thermostat.This was preemptive maintenance. Nothing was broken. Rick was great! He gave me an estimate for $575 and suggested I wait until next week because a coupon was expected to come out that would make it even less. I called back later and the coupon didn't help but their estimate was competitive. I prepaid/orderd the water pump because it wasn't in stock. $169 for the water pump. Expensive(250% markup) but I didn't care because the job was competitively priced. Two days later I arrive and talked to ZYNTHIA. I told her Rick took my order and quoted $575 for the job. ZYNTHIA acknowledged the "approved" price and pre ordered part in writing on the Tracy Toyota Estimate. The next day I came to pick up my car. ZYNTHIA walks me to the cashier. ZYNTHIA has two stacks of paper. One stack is the one they send me home with and the other is the one I signed. ZYNTHIA looks me in my eye and tells me "I gave you a courtesy car wash and knocked another $50 off the price". The one I signed shows the lower $525 total ZYNTHIA generously promised. There was no mention of the prepaid water pump. I sign the paper and leave feeling suspicious. I get home and look at my stack to find two receipts: Zynthia's $525 charge to my credit card and the phone ordered $169 water pump. I called Visa and both charges were showing on my account. I was furious! Tracy Toyota has Zero integrity, excluding Rick. I called ZYNTHIA twice, and I couldn't reach her on the phone. Imagine that. I called Rick he wasn't even aware my vehicle was serviced. ZYNTHIA took his deal and charged me twice. Rick cleaned up ZYNTHIA'S mess and sent a credit to my account. I will never go to Tracy Toyota ever again thanks to ZYNTHIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's been several years since I last went to this shady business. In their absence I found an honest mechanic in Gene at C&J auto, about 10 minutes away. What a relief!!!!! I'm still glad to be gone from Tracy Toyota. read more

Never again!!! They owe me $3,400 and all I get so far is bunch of run arounds and empty promises to refund me!! Bought my car Nov 16, 2013 with a 100K mile extended warranty and gap insurance for an additional cost of $3,400. I immediately requested that my gap insurance policy and extended warranty insurance be cancelled on Nov. 19th. the finance manager, Ramen Barakzia, said it will be few weeks to get my refund. Now it's Jan 13, 2014 - I still not get the credit of $3,400 off my car loan. I have called Tracy toyota many, many times to follow up. Belt broke on my truck not far from Tracy Toyota so I brought it to them for assessment. To replace belt and tensioner they gave me a price of $699. Called Livermore Toyota, who serviced me before, to compare and they gave me a price of $360. Livermore is paying to tow me to their location so I'll hesitantly pay Tracy $127 for looking at my truck and take the rest of my business elsewhere. Integrity helps establish loyalty.
