Nearly every visit to Tracy Toyota has some sort of issue. My last visit I drove into the express oil/no appointment lane. With my wife waiting in another car, I sat in this lane for 25 mins with only one car ahead of me and still no service advisor. There is nothing express about the oil change here. I also had DePak assist me with my vehicle and explaining features and further questions I had after purchasing. People told me I was absolutely in sane to go back this time to get a car but I love Toyotas and I'm loyal to Tracy so I went. What a great experience Sammy was amazing Deepak was wonderful. I regret not reading the reviews before going. The sales man was super nice but he was trying to convince me to get a car I didn't want just because the bank said they wouldn't qualify me for a lower priced car with more miles . I ended up looking at a 2019 car that was originally 28k . After having negative equity of 6.5k , my loan ended up at 50k . One of my friend that works at a car dealer said that's a whole lot of money. Which I agreed but I also mention I was the only one getting the car without a co-signer so I figured it was going to be high . He thought my credit was the issue but once he seen my paper work he proved over 7k was added to my loan . I understand they have to make commission off of add on and cars but I believe he should have tried to SALE instead of lying and saying it "came with the car" .... I called the same day I found out they added so much to my load and the lady said they were "all busy" as soon as I got there I called once again and stated "all busy" so I get off the car and they were all standing at the door talking and laughing . I talked to the guy that did my paper work and he had mention that he took 4K off the car and added 4K of warranty . Which is a GOOD thing but he didn't mention the rest ! .... instead of him removing it and giving the car at his original price , he just rudely and upset said "well cancel it " and I responded " ok then cancel it " . The way he said "he hooked it up" made me so upset because you can't say "I hooked you up " by added 7k worth of things that my car insurance provides. As a manger in sales , don't lie guys ! I went to Tracy Toyota to get my Scion TC serviced and was extremely happy (I live in Modesto). Curtiss helped me all the way through the process, I went in for an oil change but I knew other things were bound to come up. Previously I went to Modesto Toyota which would never tell me things my car needed, well that was not the case here, Curtiss came and explained everything that was going on and prices for everything, he kept me updated through the whole visit, rather than me just sitting there wondering when my car would be finished. Service Department: CROOKS! I went in a couple of weeks ago and asked to have the maintenance light checked out. It was on due to the tire air pressure. The representative came out over an hour later and said that the tire had a nail in it and could not be patched up. She said the tire needed to be replaced for almost 300.00!!!! I bought a car from here literally two weeks ago and the A/C went out. Thank God I got a warranty but even getting the rental was a bit of a hassle. My car has now been in the shop for 7 days but the rental was only for 5 days. When I pulled into today to drop off the rental and pick up my car they said the claim was not done but I see it sitting in the parking lot not being worked on 6 days after I dropped it off. So now I'm here without a car not able to extend the time I have the rental because the warranty company won't extend unless for good reasons for which I was told "miscommunication is not one of them" making me have to pay for Tracy Toyota's mistakes. The fact that my car needs to be in the shop for a week (and possibly longer) two weeks after buying it off the lot is crazy. I definitely will not be getting my next car from here as I feel many other dealerships will give you better quality cars (especially telling from the other reviews on here) and treat your problems with the respect and urgency they deserve , instead of keeping you out the loop. read more

Tracy Toyota has been our worst experience with car dealers by far! We were well aware that under the Cars for Clunkers program Prius cars were being sold rapidly. We did our research online and called dealers to check if they had any Prius II in stock, prices, etc. Tracy Toyota was listing about 4 different ones on their website but we knew that dealers weren't able to update their online listings fast enough given the high number of customers they were having so, just like with all the other dealers, we called in advance to confirm what they had in stock. We talked to a woman in sales who told us that they had 4 Prius II in stock and that we could check this online. We told her we knew this but that we also knew that dealers weren't keeping websites up to date so we wanted to make sure. She assured us that they had that. We called a second time right before leaving our home and another lady assured us that they had 4 in stock. Thinking that the over 1 hour trip from San Jose to Tracy was worth it if they actually had a good inventory of Prius and for a lower price than any listed around here, we decided to make the trip right after hanging up with the second lady. When we get there they tell us that they only had a Prius IV that was going way over than any others we found around here. When we told the sales people that we were told they had 4 in stock and that is the only reason we made the trip they couldn't answer us but continued pushing for us to buy the Prius IV or look at other cars. We were never allowed to speak face-to-face to the two ladies that we spoke to over the phone and no one even apologized or tried to make up for the almost 3 hours we lost going there and coming back. At the end of the day we got a Camry Hybrid from the Toyota in Palo Alto. They had excellent customer service and did their best to keep payments within our budget. DON'T waste your time going to Tracy!! It is not worth it at all! I wouldn't even give it the one star if I didn't have to! read more

I'm extremely frustrated with the service department at this dealership. As part of the purchase of our Prius last year, we got free services along with cleaning of our vehicle inside and out every 6 months. Yet, we took the car in for service and their communication among employees is so poor that the only service they completed was the recall services. We had to go back for the maintenance and cleaning which we made an appointment for. We took it back and they completed the maintenance, but only cleaned the outside of the vehicle. They said they only clean the inside once a year (even though we were told every 6 months), but we've had the car for a year now and hadn't taken the car in for the cleaning services. So, even though we haven't had the cleaning, they're system had. Notes that it was cleaned. So, now we have to make yet another appointment to go back for the interior cleaned. If all these services weren't free, I wouldn't bother going there at all, but these services were part of the selling point of the vehicle, especially the cleaning since we have 2 young children. read more

Do NOT buy a car from this dealership!!! I went to trade in a vehicle that I bought from them 2 years ago. The dealership gave me a carfax report that was different than the one Tracy Toyota gave me when selling the vehicle. The one Tracy Toyota gave me had lines missing from a damage reported from a year before I bought the vehicle as well as the line that said moderate to severe damage. This dealership deliberately hid papers from the report and tampered with lines on the paperwork in order to make a sale. They saw a 21 year old young girl buying a car by herself and thought they could get away with hiding and changing information. Spoke with Muhammad the used car sales manager and he absolutely did not care about the fraud they are committing here. I highly recommend buying from ANY other dealership than this one since honesty is the least of their concerns. Landon Cotton in Internet Sales was great - emailed a good price, and accepted our offer for the trade-in. Low-key environment, not a bunch of b.s., transaction took about 2 hours (we were there on 1/2 during an incentive event so they were busy). Superior response than other dealers, and working with Landon helped us avoid hassles and haggling. He made decisions himself, which sped up the process and reduced the bs factor. I purchased/financed a Scion tC 2016 . Jacob Yaqubi helped me though the process. I'm a recent college graduate and it was my first car purchase. I did a lot of research because I didn't want to get hussled for something I didn't want. Jacob was not like the stereotypical car salesman stories I read online. He is very personable, genuine and was not pushy. He is professional and did his job with satisfactory customer service. We did our negotiation over the phone and settled with walk in price before I even got into the dealership. I spent less than an hour and a half at the dealership which includes the test drive, inspecting the vehicle, filling out paper work and credit check. I think our process was very efficient. I am due for a service maintenance soon and I hope the process will go as smoothly. read more
