we've been told that our tire tread is getting low and needs to be replaced the last two service appointments.. We finally decided to go in and use this tire warranty that we purchased and were told covered our tires. We were even told if we ding up our rim they will replace it.. Boy were we lied to.. So they wont cover our tires unless something were to happen from eligible road hazards. Well what do you know. My family and I get a flat driving on the freeway. We get the donut on and call first thing the next morning at 9am made sure they had a tire in stock and they scheduled us for 10:30am to get it replaced. I told them at 9am we will be using our tire warranty for it. My husband gets there just after 10 and was told at 10:30 the warranty center closes at 11am so they might not get this taken care of. My husband checks back in at 10:45am and was told by service that they talked to the warranty center but has to call back because he needs to get the specs and details off the tire from the guys in the back who have the car. Well 11:30am comes and my husband checks to make sure they are getting it replaced and was told they were unable to get to it in time and we need to come back a different day. They never even got in the car. It was parked right around the corner from the service drive up. I am so dissatisfied and disappointed in the lack of care for customers. I feel so taken advantage of about the lies I was fed for these warranties that I paid a lot of money for. A 3rd party extended bumper to bumper warranty, false information on a tire warranty and we were never told about the toyota care oil changes that COME with purchasing the car. read more

Been here 3 times for service. First time was with a Filipino service advisor. Sold me unnecessary stuff and overcharged me for these extras I didn't need. Second visit was with some Hispanic girl. I mentioned to her that they had cheaper prices for full service oil change at Stockton Toyota. So she price matched the rates they had which was about 64.00 Paid over $100 on my first visit with the Filipino cat. 3rd visit was my last visit and never going back. This time was with a white male service advisor. Tried to charge me 100$ for what I paid $64 for the last time I came. Asked if he could price match. Said NO they don't do that. I said what do you mean sir, I got a price match from the nice Hispanic lady on my last visit. He said "oh yeah well i don't do price matching". What a jerk. I took off and drove 30 mins to Stockton Toyota. #BelowAverage I checked later on their website and it was even cheaper that what I was quoted. It was 69.99 for the service I needed. Not $100. He couldn't even price match their own prices. Wtf I said I wouldn't come here again but damn, I had too. It was a bad mistake and a total waste of time. I was in need of an oil change. I was passed due. This was the only place open on a Sunday. So I pull up, nobody approaches me. I go inside to the service dept. nobody there. I waited 5 mins until someone acknowledged me. The dude said he'll find someone to help me. So I wait another 35 mins. Nobody came . So I asked again, " is there anybody available yet to write me up for an oil change?" This guy was like "oh your waiting to get an oil change"? DUH MOTHER F******!! I used to work at a BMW dealership when I was younger. I was a runner in the service dept. We'd all would've been fired if we had the Same work ethic as the people that work here. No sense of urgency at all. This is a below average business. The little guys, the mom n pop shops have an advantage against these big dealerships , because most of those people still actually care. They pay attention to details and they are sensitive to their customers needs. These guys at Toyota Tracy are just waiting to collect a paycheck. If they keep this up they'll be waiting for an Unemployment check. Waited 3 ******* hours for a simple oil change that they could done in 25 mins had they paid attention! read more

I have been using this location for over 10 years to service 2 cars. Recently we brought our Prius in to be serviced. When we received the car back the dashboard display that shows how fast your going as well as other data was completely blank. I went back in and was immediately told that this was not the fault of the dealership, that it is a known issue but because it happened outside of a signaled period they could not help me and I had to call corporate if I wanted something done. This was not the kind of response I was expecting after spending huge amounts in maintenance costs over the last 10 years. I will strongly caution any current or potential customers that if you do encounter any issues at this facility that they will be met with a throw your hands up, this is not our fault mentality and the manager will not be available to help. This is Tracy Toyota, not a slimy auto repair shop, but to have your car returned to you with a major defect that did not exist before you brought it in and than to be told that it's not their fault, call corporate and no manager is available makes this entire situation unfathomab. Also interesting warning on site that good reviews coming from same address. Obviously they are cheating to try and raise their rating. read more

This is my first review on yelp. I had such great service at Tracy Toyota that it deserved a good review. I was not planning on buying a car tonight. The family and I had just gone out for an early dinner. While I was surfing the web on my phone, I saw the local Tracy Toyota finally had a Tundra in inventory that I had been looking for. I called the sales line and the person who assisted verified the truck was actually in stock. Once he confirmed it was there, he mentioned it was his birthday and he had to leave but he arranged my visit with Deepak. He mentioned Deepak would be ready with keys in hand. So he went through all that trouble and he wasn't even going to benefit from the sale. This was the first thing that impressed me. Deepak was excellent the moment I met him. Totally cool and smooth attitude. If he didn't know an answer to my question, he would clearly say instead of lying and he would find out the answer right away. He took his time. Keep in mind this is about an hour before they close on a Sunday night. I was in a rush... he wasn't at all. He wanted to make sure I looked at the truck in detail to make sure I was choosing the right model. Once negotiations began, Deepak mentioned he was going to ask Landon to assist us since he was fairly new and he wanted to make sure I was taken care of correctly. During our negotiations, Landon was professional and very courteous. We had a few back and forths with different aspects of the negotiation itself but every single second, Landon was extremely professional and did not make me feel bad in any way. I really appreciated this. In the past, this is where the customer service goes out the door. Once we agreed on the appropriate pricing, Landon and Deepak both made sure everything was getting coordinated properly from the detailing/preparation of the vehicle to the financing preparations. Once again, Im more worried than they are that its already 30 minutes past closing. I feel really bad about this but the entire team stayed more than an hour and a half after closing to get this deal done. The sales team, detail/car wash team and the finance team. Not once did they rush me or give me short answers. This is excellent customer service. I was the one rushing.... I was planning on just seeing the truck and coming over the next day if I wanted to purchase. The final step in the finance office was a great experience as well. Robbie had a cool attitude as well. He didnt just throw pages in my face. He explained everything and answered everything with detail (again, 1 hour after closing). To the entire team that helped me tonight, my sincere apologies and my sincere gratitude for making this one of the smoothest car purchases I have made in quite some time. read more

Just bought a new 2017 Sienna with Robert Morales, Internet Manager, who was highly recommended by a friend who had just bought a Camry. We had a great experience. He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He helped us find the best discounts and rebates and we ended up with a great deal on a great van. We worked with him over the phone at first and then made an appointment. He had the van cooled-off and ready when we arrived (it was 108!) and we went for an immediate test drive. We are very happy with the service that Robert gave us. If it ended there with Robert, we would give this review 5 stars easily. We were a little less pleased with the Finance Manager who gave us the hard sell on the all the extras, which took a lot of time. He was pleasant enough and did the job, but we could have done without the scare tactics. Just present the info and let the customer make the decision. Overall a very good experience. No hard sales pitch when time for me to choose which package I'd like at my 90k oil change for Larry my 2010 Prius. She was very informative, listened to my thoughts and questions and answered honestly. My thumb ring slipped from my finger and fell somewhere in the steering column. Jen communicated this to the service technician who used a magnet dohicky to look for it. Although the ring could not be located Jen assured me that my steering column was enclosed and there should be no malfunctions as a result. I am in the middle of trying to figure out what car I would like to re-lease after my lease is up in June. Unfortunately, after trying to go in to test drive (apparently it's a cardinal sin if you do not have an appointment) and being told I can only drive 1 car, and I should've went to the dealership somewhere else, I felt like the salesman thought other things were important. While this was super off-putting, I kept on going because I was super excited to try out the new Venza (even though I really wanted to try a Highlander Hybrid, and they lied about their inventory). I was told I needed to take a short test drive because my salesman is busy (not sure why he needed to go with me, every other dealer has let me drive solo on more expensive cars). My salesman seemed incredibly irritated during the drive. Feeling completely defeated and like it didn't matter if they sold me a car or not, I let the salesman know I was leaving and that was it. Tracy Toyota, do better. I was really considering purchasing from you, but that ship has now sailed. Great customer service is never easy, but horrible customer service is even harder. read more

I have to say all the people at Tracy Toyota have been great! The were very good on the price and the parts guys did right by me to put upgraded new tires and rims on the Tacoma TRD a bought. It is a great looking truck. I will add that I was looking at the Colorado and Canyon trucks and went to 4 different dealers. Road side assistance was great picking up my new Camry with a drivers window stuck open. David the service manager was very cocky telling me I had to approve $150 for them to inspect it. This vehicle was at that dealer for 3 weeks. The window now jumps when opening, door ding in the left door, drivers seat laid way back as if someone had been sleeping in it. Didn't say a word, took my filthy car I had to go find and will take it to another Toyota dealer. This isn't the type of performance Toyota factory accepts, just this horrible dealer. read more

I recently purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle from Tracy Toyota, and I had a great experience. I travelled 3 hours to look at this specific vehicle. While I was on my way to the dealership, Deepak kindly pulled the vehicle off of the front-lawn display and brought it to the car wash. So when I arrived it was cleaned and parked in the shade! This was nice considering it was 103 that day. Deepak was patient and allowed time for me to examine every aspect of the vehicle. From sales, to finance , to management everyone showed professionalism and hospitality during our several hours at the dealership! The only bad experience i had with them was with their horrible finance director, Ramen. After deciding i wanted to cancel my pointless extended warranty like he said i could, trying to get ahold of him was a total nightmare. I have never met such an unprofessional "director". Completely ignored my calls and texts (he left me on read in the initial text) and when he finally answered (thank god he had given a family member his cell number or else i seriously doubt he would've returned my call from his office) he was uninterested with what i wanted and seemed to want to end the conversation as quickly as possible. First he sent me the paperwork to the wrong email so once again i had to non stop call for him to answer. He didn't even bother to title his email, which i find once again totally unprofessional. Its like i did not matter a single bit once i bought the car and left? It is not suppose to feel that way. After a while i emailed him about 7 times for a copy and he finally decided to reply a week later. After not hearing anything about my cancellation for a month i called Toyota finance to find out he sent my check to the wrong address. I for real believe that man did not want to help me at all and did all of these things on purpose. I was on the phone with different places for months until it was just recently resolved. Seriously how is this man still working there? Horrible customer service and made this whole process extremely stressful. DO NOT GET ANY SORT OF EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH THAT MAN. and if you have to further deal with him good luck. Scheduled us for a service and replacement for a part that was on a recall for our toyota corolla. they told us on the phone that it would take 2 hours for the whole visit. We arrived here today and was told that it would take 4 hours. so, we thought what the hell. we waited and 3 and a half hours later we saw our car still parked in the same place. we asked the lady on the service counter what is happening and she just told us that it would be another 2 hours on top of the 4 hours that she told us earlier. TOYOTA...we do not work here!!! Our car was scheduled for service today and we are still here 4 hours lter and apparently will be waiting for another 2 more hours minimum because a lot of customers showed up. You need to fix your shite. People cannot wait the whole day after setting up an appointment which you agreed upon. If there was a negative star I wouldn't hesistate in giving that to you. read more

This review is for the service department. I did not purchase a vehicle here (and never will). I got a notice that there was an airbag recall for my Toyota Sienna. I called and spoke with a girl that asked for my VIN and said that my vehicle did have that recall. She said they'd order the parts needed and when they were received, they'd contact me for an appointment. Two days later, she called and we scheduled the appointment for that Saturday. I was told the vehicle needed to be there by 8:30am and that the repair would take most of the day. When I arrived I was told to wait in my car for a service advisor. I waited a while and then finally decided to just walk in to where all the service advisors were. There I met Mingo, who was sitting at his desk and didn't seem to be busy or have any intention of coming out to my vehicle like I was told he would. It was obvious that he didn't care to be there doing his job that day. Regardless, he looked up my vehicle and told me that I didn't have the airbag recall, but one for the sliding doors. Okay, well why did the girl on the phone not know what she was talking about? I surely wouldn't have cleared out my entire saturday on a holiday weekend had I known it was only for the doors. He said the vehicle would be done by 6pm that day when they close. We made the 30 minute drive home. Later that afternoon, we went back to Tracy to do some shopping. I called at about 4pm to make sure all was going well and we were still on schedule. A girl put me on hold and "went and checked" and then told me that it was still being worked on and would be ready at 6. We drove by the dealership at 5:40pm on the way to a store and saw our van in the parking lot. Assuming it must be ready since it obviously was no longer in the shop, we went to pick it up. I waited in the car with my toddler while my husband went inside. He was told that they were still working on it and that it'd be ready by 6. He gets back in the car with me and we go to drive away and notice that our van is no longer in the parking spot it'd been in minutes before. They'd only just pulled our vehicle into the shop at about 5:45pm when they insisted I have it there no later than 8:30am. It sat in the parking lot the entire day for no damn reason. Of course, 6pm rolled around and it wasn't ready. We were told it'd have to be done tomorrow. We were pissed, but what could we do? They said they'd give us our next oil change for free and wash the car after the work was done. We made the 30 minute drive back home. The next day around 2:30pm we called and were told it was being worked on and would be ready by 4pm when they close. We arrived shortly before 4pm and waited in the dealership. Mingo was of course not working that day and left his mess for everyone else to deal with. The service manager tried to say that the vehicle wouldn't be ready until after 4 and tried to put us in a rental and have us come back the next day to pick it up. We refused and said we'd wait until it was finished so we didn't have another day of our holiday weekend consumed by this fiasco. Everyone was visibly irritated since they wanted to leave on time, but had to stay to complete our vehicle. When it was finally done, they tried to rush us into our vehicle without washing it. We insisted they go wash it. The service advisor that had to stay until we took our vehicle was obviously very annoyed. While we were in the dealership waiting around I noted that it seemed to be in very poor condition. The vinyl couches were in bad shape with tears all over them, and everything was pretty dirty. I wish I would've snapped a picture of the small child play area they had. It was beyond filthy...so bad that I wouldn't let me daughter anywhere near it. The owner and managers should be embarrassed by this place. Horrible service and unprofessional employees. Next time my vehicle needs service, I'll take it to Modesto Toyota....or even Elk Grove where I bought it. They have way better customer service. read more

We recently bought a used vehicle at this dealership. To their credit, the car was reasonably priced and in good condition. We went through the fleet dept, we had filled out the paperwork online- thinking we'd save some time......uh, WRONG!! Granted, they appear set up for long waits with large screen TVs and a great area for children to play along w complimentary popcorn and water. But really why does it need to take 6.5 hrs to buy a car w minimal negotiation ( they had us redo all the paperwork).... So, I'm sitting there for a good part of the day watching these car salesmen at work. They all look alike w dark sunglasses, cell phones on their hips, and an attitude to match. We were directed to a salesmen for about 15 minutes and then the salesmen we had spoken w online took over. It was like night and day, the attitude of this ass... When he realized he wasn't going to get the sale, he pretty much ignored me and strutted w attitude the rest of the day. Not to mention his pants looked like they were 20 yrs old and his bright blue belt had no matching quality. Of course, there were all the usual lines about trade-in values that were ridiculous and the going back and forth to the secret room... Treat customers like adults, dress like a professional, and get some more staff so we all don't have to wait around all day! read more

In Late 2008 early 2009, when the economy downturn starts.........I go to Tracy Toyota to get an oil change. I am told I need to bring in proof that I have the Platinum Card Plan. When I purchased this plan, I never received a "CARD". You arrived, and they came out to your car to physically input your VIN number which showed you in fact had the plan. I think I came back in three months, without my proof and was turned away. I contacted Toyota (MAIN) for a copy of my contact. Tracy Toyota stated it didn't show proof. I have the fax from Toyota Financial and the original contract. In March 2011, I happened to find my original contract which showed payment of the maintenance plan. I brought to Service Advisor Shawn and he inputted in the computer. I went over an year without a pre-paid and I feel I should be paid what is normal costs for oil changes. From that time until March 2011, my husband performed all my oil changes. I went back Wednesday, June 15th. I was handled by Zynthia. She was fast coming out to my car. A plus. I told her I was here for a scheduled appointment to get the spare tire assembly replaced. It went down when I told her I also wanted my Platinum Card oil change. She looks in the computer and says do you have proof. I explained that I went over a year without my pre-paid maintenance plan and that in March, I provided that information to Shawn and she entered in the computer. She tells me that they re-did the computers and they are requiring the information because a lot of new people now work there. read more

My daughters Toyota Camry broke down and was not worth fixing so I knew She needed to buy a new car. She kept putting it off and was really dreading the whole process. As a first time buyer and a younger woman she was expecting to be talked down to and taken advantage of as I'm sure her naivety in buying a new car came across loud and clear. She knew she wanted a corolla because she had such great luck with her 2 previous Camrys but wanted something a little bit smaller. I saw a white one online in her price range so we looked around for that one. After a little bit we were approached by Nick. He introduced himself and although I felt at first, guarded and distrustful he put us at ease right away. He was not pushy, he was friendly but not overly so, he was genuine and very knowledgeable. Although we couldn't find the one I had saw online he showed me a cute 2011 Corolla S with 86,000 miles. He said that this one became available that day and that if he was shopping for his sister he would recommend this one to her. What I appreciated about Nick was he was the complete opposite of the stereo typical used car salesman. There wasn't any shady haggling. The price was so close to the Kelly Bluebook there was no need to haggle. We learned that with my help consigning my daughter qualified without having to put a down payment. After we agreed on the price, interest rate and monthly payments he sent us over to Ramen to finish the financing details. Earlier my daughter asked Nick if they could do window tinting at no additional cost. He said he will try his best to get that included and he did! The Corolla she purchased is a 2011 but you would think it was 2016. It was immaculate and even had that new car smell. I couldn't believe the condition it is in. Nick showed us the engine at it looked brand new, not a speck of dirt. Since it is a Toyota certified used car I feel confident that not only does it look great but it will run great too. So next we go over to Ramens office to finish the deal. Ramen was also very nice, personable,outspoken and passionate about his job. After looking at our credit report He realized that about 15 years earlier I had bought and paid off a vehicle from Tracy Toyota, because of this he offered us a bunch of perks and extra incentives. He did not need to do this for us as everything was already agreed upon. He says that Tracy Toyota motto is to reward loyal local returning customers and he explained that in addition to the window tinting he will really take care of us by adding several "extras". He said he will instal an alarm. The car did not even have the "brain" of an alarm installed so they will install a new one from scratch. He gave me bumper to bumper warranty for 3 years. Initially, the warranty that is given was a limited warranty for a certified vehicle and I have to say it was very limited. He added GAP insurance, free oil changes for 3 years, free theft insurance up to $2,500. Lastly, he offered free road side assistance with no deductible and no limitations for 3 years! Again, he didn't have to do any of this as she had already agreed to buy the car with just the limited warranty and tinted windows. This gives me so much satisfaction and peace of mind. We are so content in the decision to come back to Tracy Toyota. It's been almost a week and She is still waiting for Cynthia to call to set up an appointment to instal the alarm and to tint the windows. She left a message with Ramen to see if we could get it done soon as She is going on a camping trip this next week and haven't heard back. We are not frustrated yet by this as its only been a week and they are installing both free of charge for her. I want to thank Nick, Ramen and Tracy Toyota for such an easy no hassle first time buying experience for my daughter. I left feeling happy, satisfied and very confiident. I brought my car in because it was making a weird noise when it started. I already took it to 2 mechanics that told me it was most likely the cam shaft. When I first dropped my car off on 5/17 I informed the service advisor what the other mechanics told me the problem was. The service advisor called to tell me the problem was the starter. Of course I said to fix it. Then the advisor calls me back to tell me I now need a new battery, I asked them to change the battery. I pick up my car on Thursday, pay over $600, and Friday morning it makes the same sound. Frustrated I call back, the advisor was very apologetic and asked me to bring my car back. I wasn't able to bring the car back until 5/20. I drop off my car, a few hours later the advisor calls to tell me it was a work belt, they replaced it and now it's ready for pick up. I pick up the car on 5/21, I could hear the noise as soon as the person started it to bring it around for pick up.  I go back inside and let them know, the issue isn't fixed. The manager Carlos said he wanted to keep the car for further inspection, I couldn't be without my car another day, I have to work. Carlos promised either he or the other manager Mike would call me on 5/22 with a resolution,  I waited until 2pm on 5/22, no call. I called in and spoke with Brent who was able to secure a rental for me while they did another inspection. I drop my car off on 5/24, not even 2 hours after drop off I get a call telling me the problem was in fact the cam gear, that I initially said was the problem. And it's gonna cost $900+. When i asked if the cam was checked when i first dropped my car off, they said no because their sepcialist wasn't in on that particular day. How is that my fault? So now I'm out $600+ for a starter that didn't need fixing to begin with and they refused to refund me for. I don't feel I should be responsible for paying for the starter when I informed the shop what the problem was, and they didn't even check the cam until the 3rd time the car was dropped off. I never really got a great vibe here, but my wife bought a pre-paid maintenance card from them, so we came here for service for the last 16 years (yes, we did get our money's worth out of the deal). Just went in today to get our free oil change, and was told they would not honor the contract since the card we were issued only had my wife's name on it. The service history clearly shows both of our names and they know they've been dealing with us for nearly two decades, but they want out of the (now) money losing contract and will do anything to not honor it. Bad on them since we're finally going to sell that car and will be buying a Toyota to replace our trusty Sienna, but we won't be buying from Tracy Toyota. Hope saving that $20 was worth the lost sale to them. Take your business elsewhere if you want to deal with a company that honors its commitments. read more

THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE!!! I went to go get a car that I saw online and I went yesterday and I did all the paperwork work and credit check and everything with Johnny and then I came back today to get the car. I drove all the way from Sacramento and when I came here I found out the car was sold...to someone else...last Wednesday. This made me so upset. We called the salespeople Debra and Johnny this morning to make sure the car is still here and they said it is still here. read more

I originally had a bad experience because my car was sold with defective wheel locks on it but Omid took care of it and reimbursed me to remove them. He didn't try to challenge me on it and that's why I am giving them five stars now. Sometimes people make mistakes or small oversights but owning up to it is what helps me regain trust. read more
