Extremely disappointed with the service here. Came in around 2 pm today.. went to the front desk and asked if they still had the car I was looking at online. Receptionist was nice and called a salesman to help me out. I forgot his name but he was nice and professional at first. Then he showed me the car I wanted to see (Toyota 86'). As I was looking at the car, I mentioned that I was just looking around for the car I really wanted. That's when he totally changed his attitude. I don't really like how he didn't take his time showing me the car. I only got to look at it from the inside. And told me they have a similar one in the show room. Like really? I came to see that car specifically and have a feel to the car. You're supposed to convince me to buy a car. Instead, he just kept bringing up credits and loans and basically lost interest in me. Yeah I get that I'm pretty young. But it's definitely not my first time buying a car. Anyways, when I looked at the car in the showroom, he just left me. Luckily, another salesman came to us and was a lot better. He actually took the time to show me cars online as well to expand my options and explained things for me. I wish I remembered his name because he was extremely helpful. Bottomline: If someone is looking at a car, don't judge them because of their looks. And just cuz a customer says they're just looking, don't give up on them. You'll never know if you can convince a customer to buy a car just by having good customer service. I admit, I ended up buying a car before just because the salesman was nice and helpful about everything. And it wasn't even the car that I came for as well. read more

Terrible service, especially when it comes to oil changes. The first experience I chalked up to chance, but the next service was worse. The lady that made the appointment over the phone was rude l and the in person advisors are dismissive. Took 2 hours for an service that I had an appointment for. Work was still not done to the level it should have been. Their COVID precautions are a joke. Didn't see anyone wiping down chairs and common areas in between customers (and I was there for a WHILE) and commonly used items are not changed between customers (pens, etc). No one wears gloves when getting into your vehicle. No car washes because of COVID which I would understand if they were being super diligent about it inside their service area, but they're not so this just seems like an excuse to do one less thing for the customer. At the end of the service, the valet uses the key fob to sound the car alarm to figure out which vehicle is yours. Which is obnoxious when you're hearing car alarms every 5 minutes while you wait for your own vehicle to be done. I would think there would be a better way to locate you car, especially on a not so busy day. Love Toyota, hate this service department. read more

By far the worst experience ever. The person wass using the oldest trick in the book where they keep changing this around... puts the wrong tax rate...keeps showing u all ur discoubts and down payment but not showing I how much u are actually paying. Deal was too good they had to come back and tell me it was for a different car when he actually had me look at the one on paper he was going to use. Then made me feel stupid and horrible and actually bullied me into buying the vehicle for a price I was not happy with. Bought floor mats with it...to find out the $185 didn't come with one for the trunk and on top of all that...the back seat isn't one piece but 3, so they be moving around and they are the cheapest mats ever. Would have paid the extra thousand for the fully loaded if I knew this is what I was going to be paying. Maybe next time they can actually show u the total price u are paying before everything else is added so things don't get confusing and not consistently move numbers around because they screwed up. Also why does it have to take 3 hours just to finally get to the financibg when I thought we agreed on the price when I was first there. I would never go back ever again. read more

Long story short, he thought he was losing his deal and decided to start using profanities with us saying we wasted his f*ing time after all he did for us. I couldn't believe it because we really had every intention of buying the car. He didn't even stop there he continued swearing at my husband saying f* you, get the f* out my dealership I don't care if you write a bad review on me so here it is, your bad review Kipp Dawson. Because of you we will never return to this dealer to buy a car nor recommend anyone else buy a car here. As an employee you represent the company and if the owner of this dealer and managers are ok with their sales manager treating their customers in this unprofessional way, you will continue losing customers. As a sales person you will lose deals all the time, but to lose your temper and swear at your customers?? Do they think that they're the only Toyota dealer around? I had a wonderful experience this week from Tracy Toyota. I bought my car there 3 years ago and keep going back for the maintenance. This past saturday, I met Ronnie Lott. He is a super nice person. He even went to starbuck's to get his customers some drinks and delivered them himself. I truly believe he is trying to make this a wonderful place for his customers. I will definitely be back. Also, they had a drawing for an autographed jersey and I won it. I still can't believe it. Just because they used to play for the 49er's doesn't mean the customers should expect things. This dealership has good service. My husband's first experience was when we were shopping for a van. They didn't have the specific one we were looking for here, but when he found one at another (non-Toyota) dealership, a Tracy Toyota salesperson (sorry we don't remember his name) looked up the specs for us, i.e., what package and options the vehicle had based on the VIN, and we ended up purchasing the vehicle. Great service! The service department has also been very good. If you go there for service, ask for Curtis. Here is why: After having our vehicle for only 5 months, the SRS light went on and it turned out that we had an issue with a cable harness under the front driver side seat (safety issue). We were very disappointed; however, it didn't end up being all bad. The person looking at our vehicle was Curtis. Without getting into too much detail, it took a while to get resolution (we called Toyota Experience to tell them our issue), but Curtis went took extra steps to fax a file out for us, to follow up with us via phone to check status and to make sure things kept moving along toward resolution. Once they were resolved, he promptly scheduled the change-out of the harness. One small con that ended up turning out great in the end was... after we brought the vehicle in, we received a call saying the part was out and on back order and we couldn't get the van back because the broken harness was a safety concern. Since this was the case, we wish they would have waited to schedule the work. We were now going to be out of a van - and we had a mini-road trip planned with us and our kids for the up-coming weekend. Though we feel this scheduling issue was a pretty big mistake, Curtis stepped up by making sure that Tracy Toyota provided us with a rental van (not just a car which wouldn't have fit our stuff for the trip) at their cost - for as long as the part was on back order. Next time we'll verify with the service department that the piece is actually in their hands before scheduling. Curtis checked daily for the status of the part and called us to give a weekly updates. When the part came in earlier than the original promised date, he repaired it promptly and called us to come pick it up. Our problem with this vehicle could have caused us to give up being faithful Toyota fans but the way this dealership handled this has caused us to consider purchasing Toyotas in the future. If you go to Tracy Toyota for Service, ask for Curtis. He will do whatever he can to help give you a good Toyota experience. I would recommend this dealership's service department to anyone! read more

All of these qualities result in superior service to one of our most important assets, our vehicles. Today, once again, I was the recipient of their exceptional service. While everybody at Tracy Toyota is friendly, Curtis B. has been my service representative for the past several years. He is knowledgeable about the auto repair industry and is a person of strong moral principles. I know Curtis' goal is to provide and/or recommend necessary maintenance and when a mechanical is determined to affect the safety or performance of my vehicle, I trust Curtis to relay that information to me honestly and accurately. He always has operated this way, and I have no doubt he always will. The same can be said of Zynthia who is also a remarkable service representative at Tracy Toyota. Never have I felt patronized nor dealt with anything but complete honesty by Curtis and Zynthia. These two individuals are confident in their positions, but also respect the brand of Toyota and the business of Tracy Toyota. To function any other way would be a betrayal to those two entities. Just like going to a dentist or a physician when issues arise, typically mechanical problems do not bring out the best in people. Of course, people get busy and sometimes complications are ignored for so long that the resulting diagnosis can be grim in addition to expensive. Hearing a bad prognosis can induce anger and denial on the part we play, but in the end we HAVE to trust what we're being told. So with that said, I totally and completely trust Tracy Toyota (I also make sure my vehicle(s) have always had regular check-ups and oil changes so I don't get big, stressful and expensive surprises). Curtis is always going to deal with me honestly as is Zynthia and undoubtedly, the entire staff. I have been ripped-off by other vehicle "repair" shops and it's not a good feeling. It's comforting to know that Tracy Toyota's main goal is keeping their customers' safe and satisfied as well as their vehicles operational. They are not out just to make a buck. Had a good experience with the service department that's why my earlier review is a 5 star But in their sales department had a horrible experience I have been dealing with this dealership for about 12-14 years ago from the time they opened in Tracy & I have bought 4 vehicles from them during this period But that time they used to have a much larger inventory and much better staff Then over past 5 years their inventory had reduced a lot and quality of the salespersons managers detoriated In these 5 years I went there once to buy another Camry but ended up buying Accord from the dealer down the street just because of the rude behavior of Tracy Toyotas staff Then last year I went there to buy a prius & since the manager was not helpful at all & didn't wanted to honor the incentives toyota was giving I ended up buy the prius at Antioch Toyota Then again 3 weeks ago I went there looking for Sienna & was shocked to find out they had only 3 Sienna in stock If you check online they have lowest number of cars in their inventory in a radius of maybe 200-300 miles But the salesperson who had zero product knowledge bragged about getting any car I wanted & would beat any price And was ready to give us a test drive not knowing that the Sienna with leather seats were on recall so were not available for test drive . Then he called me in a week saying he was sorry and couldn't get me the car I was looking for & wound not be able to do a price match also This is the most horrible Toyota dealership always have new staff new managers & low on inventory The owners should take this seriously & do something to save their dying dealership INSTEAD OF REPLYING TO ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS WITH APOLOGY & giving same excuse to all negative reviews they should start working on their customer service & increase their inventory read more

This is the second car we have purchased here in a year. We went in to see our favorite salesman Kipp and finance man Raymond not knowing if we would be able to get the car we wanted yet. I worked with Landon back in July 2015 to purchase a brand new 2015 Toyota Camry SE. Landon was extremely helpful and didn't pressure at all. He presented all of the options and we worked out a deal. The car I ended up choosing was not on the lot yet, it was in the process of being ordered. After signing my papers Landon was on vacation and the whole time he was on gone he kept me updated on the status/location of the vehicle. After they presented all of the optional coverage car dealers typically try to get you to sign up for (dent coverage, paint chipping, Unicorn puncture protection...ect ect). I didn't feel pressured to include any of the additional options, however I did leave with an extended warranty. I left Tracy Toyota feeling like I got a good deal at the end of the day. To those of you thinking of buying or leasing a new car from Tracy Toyota, read this first! To lease a new car for the first time in your life should be a fairly straight forward and easy thing to do, right? Well, one would assume so, I did, especially based on the information I was given by the salesman at Tracy Toyota. I was told that leasing was now a better option than buying in many cases, over what it has been in the past. And, depending on your needs I suppose that would be a logical position to take, but, I don't think it's the best financial move for everyone. However, it is a good sales pitch! Considering all the information I was given from Tracy Toyota on leasing, I did opt to lease over buying a new vehicle. However, this is where the problems started! My most basis concern with leasing was that there was to be no end of lease cost, none, whatsoever, with the exception of the car being over the millage limit, excessive ware etc. which is understandable. I made it blatantly clear to the salesman that if there were any end of lease costs whatsoever, I would not lease a new car. His reply, at the end of the lease, (three years) I drive into the dealership, hand over the keys, and walk away with absolutely no money out of pocket! Over the course of approximately 3 hours while discussing the conditions of the lease, this same statement was repeated at least four more times with the salesman, as well as the person who did the final financial completion of the contract, and, every time the answer was the same, no end of lease costs. Keep in mind that between these two employees they boasted over 40 years of experience between them, and they new exactly the answer they were giving, each time, to my question. The signing of the lease contract: If you do decide to lease, or for that matter buy a vehicle from Tracy Toyota, it might be wise to have a contract attorney present, because hidden in the contract itself amongst all the other little fees, there is the words Disposition Fee, and defined means, end of lease fee if you do not buy the car! This is the end of lease charge that I was assured many times by Tracy Toyota that would not be in the contract. Anyway, several days later while reviewing my contract I find the Disposition Fee, look up it's definition in the dictionary, and discovery I owe $350.00 when I turn the car in at the end of my lease. After bringing this discrepancy to the attention of the finance department, no one seemed to want to discuss it. After 3 weeks of calls to the dealership, leaving messages that would not be returned, and finally being passed off to customer relations and then being promised several times it would be looked into and hopefully resolved, absolutely nothing was ever done. This wasn't just deception by this dealership, it was an in your face lie! This type of business practice isn't just bad in and of itself, but it's the fact Tracy Toyota did everything they could to sidestep the whole issue, and did! So, if you choose to deal with Tracy Toyota after reading this, then you better have all your ducks in a row, because they certainly do. Steve Storey read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! I just purchased a used vehicle from them a few months ago and my tire pressure light keeps going on. After several trips to tire shops , we have determined that there is nothing wrong with my tires. I called them to let them know the problem I am having and that it must be some sort of electrical issue. The service person I spoke to was extremely rude and telling me that I needed to call Honda ( who told me to call them since they're the ones who I purchased my car from ) . I asked if this could be looked at without me being charged for it since this car is still new to me and seems to be some sort of electrical issue and the guy laughed at me telling me they will need to charge me to take a look. I went back in and spoke to someone else. They gave me some excuse about how Ramon was the only one who handled the refunds blah blah blah. No excuse for why he didn't call me back. Anyway. The guy who I talked to cut me a check for my refund on the spot. Minus $400. Not sure why. But whatever. At least I received most of my money back and I did report them to the BBB so they do have that on their report as well. As for me I will never do any business with them again. I came to Tracy Toyota from Downtown San Jose (6/24) to check out a used car that was posted online. I immediately called Tracy Toyota once they opened the next morning and told Landon Cotton, the direct sales manager, that I would be arriving soon. When we got to Tracy Toyota, Landon was already expecting us and we were greeted upon our arrival. Landon already had the car out in the front ready for us to inspect and we were also able to test it out on the road. The car was in excellent condition and clean overall with great mileage as well. After our test drive and thorough inspection of the vehicle, I decided to sit down with Landon to work out a deal for the car. Once we got down to our final negotiations regarding the price, the overall process took a couple of hours but it was smooth throughout. Landon had a great and genuine personality and continued to assist us with any questions and concerns. He really tried to help me get the best deal I could for the car. Once everything was almost finalized, I was assisted by Robbie De Los Santos in regards to paperwork and finances. Robbie was also very personable and genuine throughout the whole process. He assured me that I got the best deal in regards to warranties and made sure that my paperwork was all in order. Unbelievable! I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla that I have been taking to the service department for about 3 years now. I even purchased my tires at this dealership so I could have my oil change and tire rotation at the same place, not anymore! I will not ever take my car back to Tracy Toyota! First of all, every time I take my car, they try to charge me for a tire rotation, I always have to "remind" them that my tires were purchased there(I should not have to do that, they know, but they always try to upcharge for everything)! I took my car in on 03/08/16 expecting to get my regular oil change and tire rotation. I pulled up to the service line around 830am(they open at 730) and was told that everyone was in a meeting so I would have to wait a while for a service advisor, ok fine, I was expecting to leave my car there all day anyway because the wait is always at least 2+hours. I waited and service advisor comes out, takes the information from my car and we head inside and end up at the last desk on the right. He offers me a service for $123, which included an oil change, tire rotation, fluid top off, and fuel injector cleaner. I asked why it was so much since the only difference between that service and the oil change was the fuel injector cleaner(which he stated is like a $5 bottle). He said that the regular oil change was now $88 and my total would still be about $100! EXCUSE ME??? I informed him that I was just there less than 2 months ago and it was $49.99($39.99 for me since I got my tires there and the rotation is free). He said their prices recently increased. So I asked about the specials and his reply was, "we don't have any right now". Really??? The prices have more than doubled in less than 2 months? Ridiculous! I asked for my keys back and will be giving my business to livermore Toyota who offers a regular oil change for $29.99!! I've paid less for a synthetic oil change! read more

I bought a brand new 2011 Toyota Prius from Tracy Toyota. During the financing process the finance manager offered to give me a lower interest rate provided that i buy the extra warranty for $2200 and the Gap coverage for $850. I told him I wanted the lower rate but didnt need the warranty and the Gap. He said that If I agreed to his offer. He would cancel the warranty and the gap contract "AFTER" I bought the car. He said that way I get the lower rate he gets his sale commission and I get the credit back and I am not stuck with the warranty I didnt need or want. He said come back next week request the cancellation in writing and sign the cancellation agreement and he would do the rest. I did as instructed. I wrote a letter to Tracy Toyota AND to Tracy Financial Services and had delivered the letter. He had me sign a document and he said He would handle it from there and to expect the credit back to my balance in a month. Nothing happened. I saw no credit back to my balance. I called him and he never returned my calls I had to go back to the dealership to track him down. He apologized for dropping the ball and promised he would follow up an complete the cancellation. Again nothing happened. I called again and he had been terminated. I asked for the sales manager who also had knowledge of the transaction. He too was no longer working there. Now I am trying to refinance the car. I have spoken directly to Tracy finance people and they have all offered apologies and have admitted making similar past mistakes. They confirmed I was accurate in my memory of the process i went thru. And they said they could not help me, but offered their apologies. I tried talking directly to the actual manager at Tracy, he has not once returned my calls or taken my calls. Toyota Financial services has worked with me on this matter. They said they have seen this before where the finance guy up sells the buyer into things they didnt need or want. They suggested that I stop trying to deal with Tracy Toyota and to let them handle it. I forwarded my original letter to Toyota Financial and after review they have agreed to credit back over $3000 off the balance owed to them. Mean while Tracy Toyota has not accepted responsibility and did not offer a refund or help in any way. I am no longer going to refi the car loan. Instead I am buying a brand new Toyota Prius for myself and my wife. BUT NOT FROM TRACY TOYOTA. My suggestion is, DO NOT trust anybody from Tracy Toyota finance department if they offer some shady deal if it sounds shady, it is shady and the guys at Tracy Toyota will just throw you the buyer under the bus. read more

All I can Say is that I'm totally dissatisfied- No call from Service advisor Allen when my car was ready ! Voicemail full for Allen- unable to leave a message. I called several times for an update- then I drove down there to finalize my repair request. My car was ready for pick up on a Friday and I didn't even know it. An extra weekend where car was parked under a tree. My car was full of Bird Shit and Spider Webs after a 700.00 service ? I had to Beg for a car wash. Employees act like Robots and don't seem personable. Service counter had 5 people in line - and service was slow ! I have Bought 2 cars from them - Brand New ! Service has changed over the last 4 years ! One advisor - African American, limited hair and short statue Told me - " I Hope your car continues to stop when you want it to - since you didn't get your brakes done ! This comment by a service professional to a customer is so Wrong ! I'm disgusted ! read more

Aweful! Every time I take my vehicle for basic service it takes several hours. I make an 8 am appointment and my car is moved to parking lot for hours. I bought a 2014 Tundra and the tires are bald at 25,000 miles. They did an alignment and found it was not the problem but did not replace tires even though the tires have a warranty of 60,000 miles. They did not even offer to prorate. Then wanted to sell me tires stating they were not making any money they don't have much of a mark up and I found them online through Sears for 1/3 the cost. They matched my price however when I went in to have them installed the first time the service uperson did not have my appointment booked even though he assured me he would have everything in the computer since it was his day off. I went back another day and they had my vehicle almost 5 hours and my alignment was not done right. They said I would need to bring it back. Took it back following day and they had it 2 1/2 hours and still not done right. Had to take to Les Scwab and was done in 20 minutes. They also put my name in wrong. SO DISAPPOINTED IN TRACY TOYOTA! Response from new manager: Good morning Robin, Thank you for taking the time to speak with me on Saturday. I have had a chance to review everything and at this time I feel like you have been taken great care of. Fortunately Mingo did not charge you for the alignment since it was not 100% when it was given back to you. I also see we price matched the tires with Sears , we also applied an additional 10% off as a courtesy which was going above and beyond for your satisfaction. At this time I do not feel we should cover the cost of the alignment. I do apologize for you having to take it elsewhere and I have spoke with the technician about the situation. read more

I gave these guys a 1 star, but I wonder if I over rated them. I used to have 3 Toyota vehicles and had all three of them serviced exclusively at Tracy Toyota. Until... I noticed that they way over charge me, and recommend unneeded services. One time I had a problem with my Rav, it kept dying. After 3 visits they found different problems, charged me for the service each time, but the problem didn't go away. I decided to get a new battery, they insisted on doing a test for over a hundred bucks, and change my battery for $260. Another time they replaced my starter (that was probably unneeded) and charged me close to $600 for it. When I complained for the high price (I checked on the internet, starters can be had from about $100) I was told that it is expensive because they only use new Toyota parts. After picking up my car and looking at the bill I noticed it said "Refurbished part." I was really mad and demanded my money back. They gave some of it back, but I still felt I was cheated. The car wash is always closed, but this might be a good thing for they do a lousy job when it's open. Once I complained about that too, and I was offered a detail job, that came out terrible too. Perhaps these guys should be in the bakery business or something. At the end I sold ALL my Toyotas and bought a couple of Hondas. Now I go to the Honda dealer where I feel I get good service. I swore never to buy another Toyota, and if I do it will NEVER be at Tracy Toyota. Save yourself a lot of grief and anger and take your business elsewhere. I bought a used Toyota Highlander from a private party and needed some work done on the vehicle that could not be done locally. After calling Tracy Toyota and driving the 1 1/2 hours down to their dealership, so I could get my car fixed...it was the worst customer service experience I have ever had! The service adviser did not communicate with me whatsoever, unless I called him, and then charged me for work I never authorized having done. He then called my husband and wanted me to pay an additional amount for the work performed (after I had already picked up the vehicle a week prior). When I did pick up my car, it was not fixed whatsoever, stated it had a recall done that involved picking up my floor mats (which was not done because of the dirt on them), and there was grease on my passenger front seat and to finish it all off, I had a down pour in my car after they said they fixed my sunroof! I will not be back to this dealership unless there are some major changes made! So disappointed!!!! read more
